Umm....too soon to tell.......2007-08-11
The proof will be in the pudding. These books are valueless until I actually take the exam and pass it. If I do pass it. I am planning to use just these books to study and if I fail, then it's either my fault, the books, or a combo of the 2.
The stuff is missing. .......2007-07-04
The order was placed on June 02nd. Today is July 05th, till now I have not received the shipment of my stuff. Kindly process the refund including the shipping charges immediately.
Bought it for the questions.......2007-06-29
I haven't yet received my scores, so I can't say whether I passed, but I can say that these really helped me focus my studies onto the questions I missed in the practice exams found in these books. I bought these books because I found the current program I was using (CPAExcel)really lacked enough questions to guage how I was doing and allow me to practice my skills repetitively. There were enough questions in these texts to aid in my understanding of the subject matter, plus I looked to some of the outlines to gain a clearer understaidng of some of the concepts. I mostly bought it for the questions and it was great for that.

Good review software.......2007-09-15
This is a good review software, plenty of great question, many of which appear verbatim on the exam. The review below "wow...for a major publisher, this is horrible" is written by a moron. If you want the answers to stop popping up, set it on test mode, not review mode. Though, he is right about the spelling errors, they definitely forgot to turn on their spell check.
Could be much better.......2007-07-14
I have a recent but earlier version. The software was buggy, though still usable. I would pay for an upgrade if available, but I'm not motivated to spend full price for something that may or may not work.
Wiley, fix the software and provide an upgrade path. Offer a demo version with just a few questions so that customers can see how well it works on their systems.
Wow...From a major publisher, this is a horrid job!!.......2007-05-24
I just want to lend another opinion in other areas of problem that the other reviewers didn't mention. Here's my summerized list of pros and cons:
Pros:
- Plenty and plenty of multiple choices that has been extremely helpful for my exam preparation.
Cons:
- Simulations have plenty of errors. There are questions that I could tell the answers aren't lined up correctly (Bond simulation is an example). There are prenty of wrong answers.
- Gazillin typos. Some can be very misleading and mess you up in the real eam.
- Simulation format isn't similar to the real exam.
- I found it very annoying that I can't finish the sims THEN compare the result with the answers. The answers keep popping up as you go on....and to make it worse, if you don't need to answer something, there is no way if that's the right answer. For example, you are given a set of check buttons that you can pick more than one answers. If you pick one either right or wrong, you get the response (which is good). But if you know that a choice is not part of the right answer, there's no way you can be sure unless you intentionally pick it anyway.
- Plenty of bugs. Quite a hassle for me to get it up and running on my Vista machine.
All-in-all, a good tool for studying multiple choices, not so much for simulations....
Good luck with your exam!!
Great for the price........2007-05-23
Without limit on user and expiry date. That's the best part of it.
AN EXCELLENT TOOL........2007-03-14
Wiley Version .12 is an excellent tool to prepare for the exam as it has more mcqs than version.11.They could have added more simulations. One more good thing is that they have seperated the topics in mcqs that would be tested from July 2007 for Auditing section. It gives you a real feel of apprearing for the exams. It would have been more helpful if database for the reaserch mode of the simulations mode were included. It is a very essential tool for students who want to succeed in the exams.

Customer Reviews:
Worked for me!.......2007-05-25
The information in these books helped me pass the exam on the first try. I would study the material for each chapter, then study flashcards I made out of the multiple choice questions at the end of each chapter. Might not work for everybody, but it did for me!
Helpful but not the best.......2006-03-22
helpful for the CPA review but i think bisk is a lot better
Poor Study Guide, even for second review.......2005-12-02
I used the Wiley books as a second review source, after completing the Becker Conviser courses. The value-added for me was small. The number of questions I could not have answered by relying on Becker alone was in the small one-digit percentage range.
On another note: the 2005 Regulations Review guide text, particularily on Taxes, was written and laid out in a style that made it difficult to stay awake, even when studying after a 10-hour sleep.
Although I understand that the Wiley books are relatively inexpensive, especially when compared to Becker, in my opinion, this can be viewed as an example of: you get what you pay for.
Just as a side, I passed first time and with an average of 93%.
You weren't kidding about errors!.......2005-10-05
I am in the process of studying for the exam and overall the books are helping considerably. However, the other customer review talked about errors in the answers to the simulation problems and he wasn't kidding. There are numerous errors (incorrect answers) throughout. It is not a big deal when you know the topic well and are confident in the answer, but when you are unsure of the correct answer, it is a real headache!
At least the answers to the multiple choice questions don't seem to have any errors.
Good study aid but watch out for errors.......2005-05-27
I am in the process of studying for the CPA exam (I take the Audit section tomorrow), so I haven't worked my way through all of the books in this 4 volume set. Each of the books is divided into 'modules' to help you study by topic area. The information presented at the beginning of each module is concise and well laid out; a great aid to learning. The multiple choice questions in each module are challenging and the answers provided help to explain the correct answers. Three of the books (except BEC) have 'simulation' questions. These are a valuable resource in studying, however, Whittington and Delaney have done a poor job of editing these simulations and the problems and answers are riddled with errors. So, watch out! These errors can be a source of much frustration.
Overall, this 4 volume set has helped me improve my knowledge for the CPA exam. Happy Studying!

Wiley CPA Exam Review 2007 Auditing and Attestation.......2007-02-08
This is the study guide for people who are taking the auditing course or who practice the review course for CPA exam
The question is a little bit hard but the solution in the back of the book.
Disadvantages of Self-Study.......2000-06-13
Wiley's books are useful, but not suitable for a complete review. I found them to contain more information than was necessary. They did, however, contain a multitude of old CPA Examination questions. This was useful, but I feel that these books need to be used in conjunction with a reputable CPA Review Course. Test taking skills are not discussed in depth, as well as the confidence instilled by a review course.

No Changes.......2007-02-19
No changes between the 2006 and 2007 book as far as questions go. I bought the book in January 07 and there are no differences as of yet. May be at later editions during 2007

Excellent Five CD Set!.......2005-11-12
This set of CPA Prep CDs has been a great help in my effort to rebuild the Financial and Intermediate Accounting knowledge I previously gained in business school. Although I am not studying for the CPA, I am glad these CDs are more (not less) advanced than much of the material I am currently reviewing.
These Five CDs cover the CPA FARE Exam modules as follows: CD1 - Mods 19, 20, & 18A; CD2 - Mods 7A, 7B, 7C, 7D & 8; CD3 - Mods 9, 10, & 13; CD4 - Mods 12 & 11A, 11B, 11D, 11E; CD5 - Mods 14, 15, 16, & 17.
Debra Hopkins provides the following benefits to the listener: a) clear and lively speaking voice; b) well-organized and quick delivery to maximize content; and c) no unnecessary and tedious recitations of numbers from example problems (unlike certain other Accounting recordings I have obtained). While these Wiley CDs are a bit pricey, I am very anxious for Ms. Hopkins' "Business Environment and Concepts" to be released.

Thousands of Practice Questions and Simulations.......2006-07-28
This book contains thousands of multiple choice questions and quite a few simulations. I am using it in addition to a Becker review course. It has some of the same questions as the Becker material (probably 30 percent), but there are many questions not included in Becker, and some of them have a very different focus and style. I think this makes the book worth the $60 price, just to fill in the gaps. If you are not using a review course, the Wiley reviews are also recommended, individually or in the four volume set.
