Great Review Guide.......2007-05-13
If you want a comprehensive book for the NCETM, this is it..expensive
but worth it, It is strictly a Q AND A but every question you can think
of is listed here..I got this for the muscle section and went over the
other body systems as well and feel prepared for the exam,,
An excellent practical guide for MCQ. But don't be scared .......2004-10-12
If you can answer the questions from this book with confidence, you can pass almost any clinical part of massage therapy exam. On the other hand, simply by knowing the clinical pathology, you may not be able to pass either the NY State Board or the National Certificate exam.
I don't think you need to understand every single detail in this book in order to pass either the NY State Board or the National one. (See my other comments on selecting study material if you are interested).
The knowledge provided from this book is far more than as a licensed massage therapist require to know. It's good to know more. But don't be scared if you do not do well on those questions in this book. From my limited experience, I think the exam authorities want to prepare us (massage therapists and body workers) to provide SAFE and effective massage therapy to the public. We are not trained to be a MD. Please don't blame yourself if you are not so good as the nervous system, for example. But you have no excuse for not knowing soft tissue. Massage therapists should be the expert of soft tissue.
Grasp a solid knowledge on muscle insertion and origin, action and related diseases. You will do well! Good luck
Everything you ever wanted to know..........2003-12-02
This volume was extremely interesting. It contains information that every massage therapist should know. Some of the NCBTMB test questions were straight from this book. I found it extremely helpful in my passing the test the first time.
Very Helpful in Memorizing Pathology.......2003-11-20
This guide was an excellent resource in getting me to understand and remember various diseases a massage therapist needs to be aware of. I passed the NCBTMB exam yesterday with HIGH in each category and these guides helped A LOT in preparation!

Excellent Resource.......2006-11-25
I think this book was the difference between an A and a B. I liked that it was quick, to the point and relevant.
Definitely worth the money!.......2005-02-09
So what if it's $45? This study guide focuses on what you need to know and gives you a very good idea of what's going to be on the exams. It's more than worth the money!
Helped me get an "A" in A&P.......2003-12-16
I found this book to be very helpful, especially when used with Volume I. I quizzed myself with his questions and answers after I read a chapter, and usually found that I didn't understand a section deeply enough. I'd much rather get questions wrong before the test than during! Many of the questions on the test were very similar to his questions. I'd recommend this Volume & also Volume 1 if you are looking for good grades for A&P. You can't do wrong by learning from a former professor of A&P!
Awesome Study Guide.......2003-03-27
I found this book to be great for helping me get an "A" in my anatomy and physiology class in college. It's to the point and focused on key topics. It helped me focus on the type of questions that my teacher asked on my final. Thanks Dr. Leonardi for writing this book. This book is a must buy for any undergraduate A and P student, massage therapy student, or anyone wanting to know more about anatomy and physiology. I also used Volume 1 (ISBN: 0971999619) also sold on amazon. Both books helped me to get excellent grades in my A and P class.
Book Description
This is Volume 2 of 2 for the Part IV Exam. Volume 1 covers Diagnostic Imaging for the Part IV Exam. This is the most specific and thorough study guide for the National Board of Chiropractic Part IV Exam. This test preparation study guide consists of the following sections: Case Management & Technique Practical. This is a must for every chiropractic student or doctor of chiropractic taking the Part IV Exam.
Customer Reviews:
Hlped test myself but the questions we had were way different........2007-01-11
I bought this book in the urgency toward the upcoming part 4 technique. I used it to help me practice. It helped me realize where I had holes in my knowledge, but the questions themselves were not even similar in content. So I guess it depends on what you are buying for?
Spectacular book for Part IV Boards.......2004-05-04
This is a great book for the Part IV chiropractic boards. The questions helped me to prepare for the type of questions on this exam. The questions in this study guide were of the type encountered on the boards. I would also highly recommend getting volume 1 because the x-ray portion is a big percentage on this exam. This book helped me to get ready for what would be asked in the patient history rooms and the adjustment rooms. Also, it showed me which orthopedic tests were heavily tested along with neuro packages. This is a must book, many of my chiropractic friends have used this book and also found it very helpful! I wouldn't go into the part 4 board without reviewing this book first.
Book Description
THE SECTIONAL ANATOMY LEARNING SYSTEM is thoroughly revised and updated with two new chapters including re-drawn illustrations, and new post-tests with images. The system consists of two volumes: a main text and a workbook of applications. A new chapter has been added on the vertebral column and spinal cord. The concepts section of the text now covers sectional anatomy of the entire body. It is organized to correspond to the text chapters. Applications consist of coloring and labeling exercises for over 250 revised drawings of transverse, sagittal, and coronal cadaver sections.
Customer Reviews:
Heaven Help You! If you are required to buy this for a class!.......2007-01-01
This 2 volume set is horrible! The diagrams in the Applications book are vague and confusioning. The way that the Concepts book is written is just terrible it is jumbled and runs together. It is impossible to besure that you are labeling or even answering most of the questions correctly, let alone all of them. Diagrams in the workbook that are totally different then the ones in the Concepts book and you are suppose to label them? correctly? There has got to be something better out there. I can not wait until I am done with this class, I will see if everyone wants to come over to my book burning party!
OK-At best-.......2005-03-07
I had this 2 vol set for a cross sectional course- The pictures were poor quality, the labels ambiguous, and the author had a tendency to be inconsistent with viewing aspect- one image is a sup/inf view, and the very next one is exactly the opposite- and although recognizing the anatomy from different aspects is important, this book did so in such and random, disorganized manner. The orientation went against all of my training as a radiology and ct tech, since the image orientation was not consistent.(the right should ALWAYS be the right, doncha know?) I do not recommend it to imaging professionals, as there are better books out there, but it might be ok for medical students or the like. Overall, I began to despise this book to the point that I gave it away as soon as class was over, and I found myself using other texts and online resources to study, because the book was just too confusing!!

This is an excellent study guide for Biology.......2004-10-10
This book was so helpful for my college classes, biology I and II. It had all the kind of questions that prepared me for the exams. The explanations were great and quite easy to read. I also used The Ultimate Study Guide for Biology: Key Review Questions and Answers with Explanations Volume 1 which coverd Organization of Living Things & Chemistry of Life, Structure and Function of the Cell and Energy Pathways, Reproduction and Heredity, Genetics. I also studied Volume 3 which had topics of Kingdom Animalia, Organization of the Animal Body, Animal Form and Function, Animal Reproduction, Development and Behavior. Customer Reviews:
Helpful.......2007-03-25
Although the instructions say to read the Study Guide after the text. I prefer to read it first. The summaries are a great introduction to the topic before class lectures and make the text more understandable - it's easier to comprehend the big picture of the chapter in the summaries than when reading 20 - 30 pages of text. True/False and multiple choice questions are also helpful. Explanations of False answers are given in the answer section.
Absolutely Essential!!!.......2007-03-15
The Survival Guide provides the reader with an approach for solving the exercises and problems in the Intermediate Accounting textbook. This guide will help you develop the ability to solve accounting problems. It offers the reader SUMMARY OF LEARNING OBJECTIVES, TIPS ON CHAPTER TOPICS, and addtional illustrations not in the textbook. As I said before, and it's worth say it again, the real value of this guide is it provides the reader with an approach to solving the problems. This in turn gives one an excellent feel for how to apply the material presented in the textbook. I find the ANALYSIS OF MULTIPLE-CHOICE TYPE QUESTIONS an excellent way to sharpen my knowledge of the material. When working through the questions I find myself constantly reviewing the textbook which is key to internalizing the material. In short, if you really want to learn this material get this guide. That way by test time you will be bringing your 'A' game.
Worth the money.......2007-02-09
This guide breaks down the chapter and gives you plenty of clear instruction. It also gives some exercises very useful in sharpening your knowledge.
get a wrong book, waste money.......2006-07-26
I order a wrong book, when I open it, I realized I wouldn't use it at all, but i don't know how to return it. so it just wasted my money even though it is a good book
