great maps.......2007-08-03
maps are very usefull another great book although it falls apart easily as usual for Brady guides
0 stars was not available so it got 1 star.......2007-07-11
This expansion ruined WoW.
Got my character to 70 bought the flying mount, then canceled my subscription.
Why? you may ask, class balance has been ruined.
I spent more time being corpse camped by random mages, then I spent playing.
To be sure, I understand that corpse camping is a part of the game, what I don't understand is how a level 70 character can be basically 1 hit by another 65 plus character.
Solution? simple, put a limit on the amount of dots a mage can stack on another character in pvp, have different limits applied to pve.
Anyway, If you enjoy WoW you may be disappointed by the BC expansion.
Side Note, IF you are a WoW junky that spends every waking hour in game, and have all the best gear, then BC may be just what the doctor ordered, for the casual gamer though, its a game stopper.
Burning Crusade Guide.......2007-06-27
Is a Complete Guide only it had some faults in the order the quests suppose to be done. And after a couple of days de border gave in and the book fell apart. Put the contents of the book made me a very competitive player and got very fast to level 20+. I bought the other two guides available for further use after I finished the Book
WoW- Burning Crusade.......2007-06-09
Excellent book that is very informative of the new area and quests of the expansion. very helpful
a decent guide.......2007-06-07
this guide is supposed to cover all of the BC expansion; the main part which is the new zone: outland.
the guide is a decent guide but it's not the guide it needs to be. all the basics are here; a section on the new mechanics, on the classes, on the new "races" , the armor and weapons, the quests, the dungeons, and the new zones. but those are the only things the guide manages to accomplish.
unfortunately the guide has some serious flaws;
most notably an ENTIRE section of outland is missing the section in question is shadowmoon valley. all the other sections are displayed with large maps but there is no map for shadowmoon valley.
also the guide only covers four of the new dugeons in outland.
I'll give them a "pass" on a few them; becuase you are required to complete certain quest lines to get into them.
however, there's still no excuse for omitting the dungeons in auchindoun(terokkar forest) and the tempest keep dungeons(netherstorm).
other then that its a functional guide, but when you compare it to the other world of warcraft guides the brady games has published, it seems to be the "black sheep" of the wow guide family.

World of Warcraft Master Guide, Second Edition (World of Warcraft) .......2007-09-23
Amazaing book to start out with, includes everything you need to now about the game and even things that you dont. The book is so finley detailed with everything from your first dagger to level 60(70 if burning crusade) and soon to be 80
Good Start.......2007-08-12
The book helps you in the early stages of the game. Does not have anything on the two new expansion set that the only problem.
A great guide with tiny print!.......2007-07-07
A very useful refence - but we older gamers might need a magnifying glass to read!

Customer Reviews:
VERY helpful on the way to level 60.......2007-08-25
I had ordered this book along with World of Warcraft, it was very helpful.
Lets talk about what this book is not:
-covers all dungeons up to blackwing lair
-does not cover burning crusade dungeons, nor is there a dungeon companion for the burning crusade (yet) The burning crusade players guide only covers the first 2 hellfire citadel dungeons and the first 2 coilfang dungeons, I don't know why.
To WoW newbies doing dungeons, this book is very helpful, as it lists what level you should be, all the quests you can get, and a walkthrough of the dungeon.
If you were to get a quest for a certain dungeon, you could take a look in the book, get the rest of the quests for that dungeon, and finish the dungeon with confidence, knowing you won't have to come back for another quest if you hated that dungeon.
While great for anybody questing up to level 60, people over 60 will have little use for this book. It could be useful if you go to an old raid spot like Zul Gurub or molten core, but pretty much nobody runs lvl 60 dungeons anymore. Like scholomance and Stratholme.
The biggest problem is the maps of certain dungeons, mainly the large ones. If its your 1st time to blackrock depths or blackrock spire, and you consult the map on where to find a certain NPC or boss, its not going to be of very much use to you, because of the multiple levels of those dungeons make it hard to read a top view map of those places.
overall, A great book for the still-learing WoW player thats very useful when the others in your group don't have a clue of what to do
Dungeon Preview.......2007-07-23
When I bought this, I was hoping it was updated with the new dungeons. But when I received it, it was all the old dungeons of Azeroth and no Burning Crusade Dungeons. In its day this is an excellent guide...but that was 3 years ago.
Very Helpful.......2007-06-27
Especially if you like to study ahead or do things all the way, this Dungeon Companion will truly be your companion as you meet bigger and bigger dungeons in the game.
It lists:
- quests available in each dungeon
- what kind of mobs will be met in each dungeon
- what kind of drops can be found and where
- as well as a walk through of the instance
- it also includes good general information about raids
must have.......2007-04-18
awsome ! amust have , very useful
although I have to agree that it does fall apart easily .
but I still think it is Very useful
Nice addition to the game..........2007-04-11
Lots of info and I found it a good buy. It will guide you through all the instances and quests and many helpful tips to keep your team alive.

Customer Reviews:
Atlas is junk, the other two books are worth it.......2007-09-09
Order this if it's cheaper than getting the strategy guide and the dungeon companion separately. The Atlas is a waste, but the other two books will help out. The strategy guide is an excellent bathroom read. The dungeon companion is great when you need to head straight for the bosses in any of the instances.
Strategy collection is WOW literally!.......2007-08-23
This collection for me was basicly a buy 2 get 1 free deal. I was a little steptical that they would be complete guides by looking at how many total pages they said there were under the strategy collection description. However, rest assured they are complete individual guides matching the total pages for the individual guides themselves if they were sold separately. The Atlas is paperback but that is the only real difference with 3 bookmarks included. I use these guides constantly and they are easy to read and very informative. Highly recommended! I just ordered the WOW Burning Crusade Brady Guide and cannot wait to get it! They truely are WOW!
Great Deal. Useful information. .......2007-08-04
I've found this 3 pack of guides to be very helpful and informitive. Very useful in my play of WoW. You get all 3 for just a bit more than you'd buy any one individually so it's a great deal.
I already had a copy of the Master Guide but picked up this 3 pack for the deal on the atlas and the Dungeon companion. Both are good investments.
Many people complain that the Atlas is just blown up maps you can get by playing but it HELPS if you've never been to a place before and keeps you from having to search the wilds for hours on end. It also has the helpful functions of telling you who's where for much of your vendor needs. I've referenced it many times.
The Dungeon companion doesn't give you step by step walkthoughs of the dungeons but you don't really need those. Nor do you really need an explination of "Bring a tank, a caster a healer and a rogue" You pretty much know that stuff by the time you GET to Dungeons. Thing is you very rarely have that "Ideal" Group for them and the guide lets you know more or less what you're getting into when you go in, and helps you be ready for the tactics of the bad guys. Scarlet Monestary for example. When you go into the last chapel it tells you to make sure you clear both sides of the room, the middle and the little alcoves off to the side, because when you challenge the last bosses, ____anyone____ You haven't killed in there, will dog pile you. Normally an add or two can be expected but that room has upwards of 50 to 60 mobs there that is a bit much for anyone to fight at that level.
The small things like that, that make a HUGE difference is where this guide shines. Also the tables of the bosses in each dungeon and who drops what and with what frequency is AWESOME. It keeps you from searching and reading though the (( longer and more detailed)) walk thoughs on line and you can even take this one with you into the bathroom on breaks! lol
The master guide is........ not so much a GUIDE. As much as it's the INSTRUCTION BOOK that you kinda need to know the game. The one that comes in the box is woefully simple and only hits on alot of the main points. That's where the Master Guide makes it's points. It gives you the general details that are left out of the instruction book. It tells you how to play and how to avoid some newbie mistakes. Granted "EXPERIENCED" Wow players will take away less from this guide than the new player, but it still has useful things in there. But the thing is.. if you've been playing WOW for over 6 months.... you have probably learned things that guides are going to tell you... so.... don't expect TOO much out of them.
All in all this 3 pack is great stuff. Very useful and easy to access. I'd highly recomend them to anyone who seriously plays Wow. Just to have for easy reference. With one expanion out and another one coming, these guides will be more and more for "beginners" but then, there's a Burning Crusade guide out for that expansion and I'm sure they'll put out one for Wrath of the Litch King.
Save money ! .......2007-06-01
My Friend bought the Strategy collection set , He was happy with the atlas and the Dungeon comapanion which is by the why one of the most WoW help-full guides there is .. Just one down side he told it wasn't updated with the latest stuff , I am thinking they should make a Burning crusade Dungeon companion too . However a great buy you save 20$! well done Brady games !
Huge piles of helpful information........2007-05-14
Online games are the only games I am willing to get strategy guides for. This collection adds a lot of very useful information to the original strategy guide and the expansion's strategy guide.
It came with three guides. I thought they would all be in one large volume but they were the three separate books. This is good because the book would have been far too big to be easily used at the computer. The Atlas is nice with good maps and information on what you can find in the zones. It also has a section after the table of contents with information on how to use the atlas.
The Dungeon companion is great. You get the dungeon maps and descriptions, but you also get screen shots of what you will see when you get down there. I like that a lot.
The Master guide is looking to be a must. You get more maps with plenty of information. You get information about the world and good descriptions of the various races and classes. It does share some information with the original strategy guide, but it is more up to date.
The cost of the collection is nearly half of what it would cost to buy all three books separately. That alone makes it a good value. When you start reading and using them, you will really see why you needed them. I had quit playing a while back and just started up again before I ordered this collection. I so wish I had these books back when I was first playing. With the time they could have saved me I might have never stopped playing.

Customer Reviews:
Internet databases and forums are more reliable .......2007-09-11
Thankfully, I don't own this book, but I've used it a few times. Needless to say, it's junk.
It's built pretty well, I'll give them that, but it should have been a spiral edge (so it's easier to reference things in a flash). Despite the binding, it's pretty well built.
However, for a guide, it is poorly set up. Way too much NPC nonsense, maps aren't well developed (both visually and information-wise). The hand-drawn maps (always a crowd-pleaser) are pretty good but still lack info.
All of the information in the atlas is very general, and therefore not entirely helpful. Rare spawn info is easier to find than online searches, but even that cannot justify spending any amount of money on this book.
For a game that is constantly being revised and adding more content, it seems criminal to pay for such a book since you will almost always be missing something, regardless of the edition. When it comes down to it, WoW databases have so much more detail, hints, and tips to complete almost any challenge you meet in the game. If you are ridiculously dependent on having a physical copy of a guide, I would strongly urge you to save your money and wait for another revision copy to come out.
Almost like Cheating!.......2007-08-26
What a fantastic find for the World of Warcraft player. Makes playing almost like cheating. You have maps to every region, city and camp and can locate vendors, class and profession trainers, flight masters, Rare Mobs, and even specialty vendors! This book is well worth the price. I think what I like most is that I can continue to look at the map online of where I am while I find the corresponding map in the book and then can look for what I need with great ease. So much faster than going back and forth to Thottbot.
The ultimate!.......2007-07-07
Got his for my fiance as a birthday present - along with some other WoW books. This is the one he always turns back to. It's useful for a wide variety of questions, and easy to read to boot!
Most helpful book to buy!.......2007-06-02
There are so many places in this game, you definitely need a map and this book is great. I keep it open beside my computer and refer to it each time I play World of Warcraft.
I LOVE my atlas!!! If you only buy one WOW guide book, this is the one you need!.......2007-04-16
This is an incredible atlas! I use it constantly, to locate my quest recipients, find answers for online buddies, and to help local family members and friends in the game. Although the regional maps do not have absolutely every detail labeled, and the large cities do not have individual shops specifically identified, the atlas has so many other benefits, this is insignificant. The region maps do have names of places printed on them, as you would see them after exploring in the game, and as if your mouse were hovering over every named location. A directory beside each region map tells you where flight masters and a few key vendors are, using a grid system to get you close to the target. There is a world map in the front of the book with all regions and instances labeled for quick reference, and all flight and boat paths drawn in, in color to show whether each is for horde or alliance. There is a huge section of smaller town maps that don't exist in the game itself, showing each little town in detail with a directory beside it showing you exactly where each vendor or key person is. Next, there are many, many pages of alphabetical listings of almost every character you will ever need to find in WOW, whether it is a quest giver, specialty vendor, or named creature--so when you have no idea where to turn, just look up the character in the index, and you will be told a brief description of that character, which major region and town map they are associated with, including page numbers, and a specific grid location for them on the region map, so you can even choose the closest flight point to get there. Next is a bunch of tables to help you easily locate: Weapons Trainers, Mount Trainers, Innkeepers, Flight Masters, Class Trainers, Profession Trainers, Skill Trainers. After that is a section of resource charts, showing which regions have specific minerals, herbs, and skinning types, and which animals drop the type you need. Finally, there are pages with Rare Mobs named, described, and listed by region, so you can seek out the wandering, Elite, named monsters to get that special treasure, and a chart listing all the specialty vendors and where to locate them. This Atlas was published prior to the Burning Crusade expansion, so at the time I am writing, it does not include any of the new lands, resources, or characters. This is such an amazing book, I recommend it to all my friends who play, and I would gladly pay twice the price to own it.
Average customer rating:
- Sweet!
- Story picks up some speed. Art is as great as the first two
- Good, but a little anti-climatic
- Great finale to the Trilogy
- A quick wrap-up.

Book Description
The mighty Sunwell, source of the High Elves' magical might, had been thought lost...until now! In the ruins of the High Elf citadel, a young blue dragon and his companions must fight to save one of their own from certain death, though, in the Ghostlands, the dead refuse to rest easy! Jae-Hwan Kim, artist of the best-selling King of Hell series and the upcoming War Angels, and Richard A. Customer Reviews:
Sweet!.......2007-06-11
Ah well fitting ending to a trilogy that has both awesome drawing by Jae Hawn Kim and (allthough relativly short)a rich story. Nice battles and story plots come together in a good finishing book of the trilogy. For the enthousiast a nice 3rd book and ending of the story. Too bad its the final part, because I think there could be much more of these stories.
Story picks up some speed. Art is as great as the first two.......2007-06-06
The third and final book of the Sunwell Trilogy was pleasing to me. While I thought the first two books were pretty shallow as far as the plot goes, this one had a somewhat deeper feel. As the story reaches its climax, with the Sunwell's power being revealed, the action actually gets pretty intense. Also, the addition of a couple of cool new characters (especially Sylvanas) gives more depth and details more of the background for the story. So, props for Knaack for finishing off the series with some substance.
As before, the art is the major selling point for these books. Jae-Hwan's talent is amazing and really brings the story to life.
Good, but a little anti-climatic.......2007-05-24
Yeah, so I read the whole 3 books in this series and they were good, I enjoyed them but it seemed to be over a little quickly. There was an epic battle and all but it seemed to be over too quickly.
Good, but I would have liked a stronger ending.
Great finale to the Trilogy.......2007-05-23
Wonderful manga! The artistic side was well done and the dialogue was intriguing and attention-grabbing. A must for anyone who loves the Warcraft saga.
A quick wrap-up........2007-04-21
The first two novels really built...and this one was like the end of a Scooby Doo Mystery. The rip the monster's mask off, go "OMIGOSH!" everyone has a good laugh, all loose ends are tied up conveniently and you're left wondering "Why did I bother reading this trilogy?"
Art's amazing. But it feels like Richard A. Knaak was writing a sextet instead of a trilogy. Book # 3 should've continued building...and then books 4-6 are the dramatic conclusion.
If only.
I suppose if you're a WoW clone who never played WC1,2,3, or any expansions this book will be fine because it's probably new and exciting. But hey, WoW is awesome, right? So anything with the same logo = spend money!

Book Description
Though the young Warchief Thrall ended the demon curse that had plagued his people for generations, the orcs still wrestle with the sins of their bloody past. As the rampaging Horde, they waged a number of devastating wars against their perennial enemy -- the Alliance. Yet the rage and bloodlust that drove the orcs to destroy everything in their path nearly consumed them as well.
Long ago, on the idyllic world of Draenor, the noble orc clans lived in relative peace with their enigmatic neighbors, the draenei. But the nefarious agents of the Burning Legion had other plans for both of the unsuspecting races. The demon-lord Kil'jaeden set in motion a dark chain of events that would succeed not only in eradicating the draenei, but forging the orc clans into an single, unstoppable juggernaut of hatred and destruction.

Rise of the Horde.......2007-09-17
My feelings were somewhat mixed on this book. What I liked about it was that the author really knew his WoW background. The story presented the history of the Horde and their conflict with the Draenei in a very concise and understandable way. It was an "easy read", and there was little to no confusion about what was happening.
What I didn't care for was how particularly violent this book was. The author vividly presented the blood and guts of conflict. I'm sure that is what the author intended, but the unintentional consequence was not feeling sorry for the Orcs at all.
If you are a hard core WoW fan, this book is a must read. Just be prepared for a "D-day" like story.
Excellent sequel.......2007-09-17
This is a follow-up to Christie Golden's Lord of the Clans, also contained in Warcraft: Archive.
This tale chronicles Thrall's recording of the rise of the first Horde on the world of Draenor, otherwise known as Outlands.
I learned a lot about the dynamics of the Draenei and thigns related to WoW:TBC that I would have otherwise not know since I play Horde exclusively.
A great read that I highly reccommend.
Easy and fun read .......2007-08-13
Tells the tragic story we have all wanted to know for years and does its best to blend the Warcraft 1,2 and 3 storylines not so easy.
This book is all the more tragic because ultimatly the reader knows the ending. I thought it was great because it showed what true friends Doomhammer and Doritan were.
Everything I have come to expect froma Bilzard book.
Good History.......2007-08-09
Excellent History of how the Horde came to be the Horde. A must for all Warcraft enthusiasts
Rise of the Horde; a legion of betrayal .......2007-05-10
By; Anthony Michael Tuzzolo.
First of all, If you have no idea what Warcraft is then go home! This story is set in a place called Hellfire peninsula in the shattered world of Draenor. The story starts out with a young orc named Duratan, who is heir to the Frostwolf clan, befriending another orc named Orgim Doomhammer. One day, the two friends are saved by an alien race, named Draeni who befriend them and allow them to stay in their marvelous city. When they grow up a very influintial shaman named Ner'Zhul had a vision from his deceased mate who told him that the ancestors were all with an omniescent being and that he would soon get a vision from it. Ner'Zhul gets a vision from a maelevolent being named Kil' Jaedan who tells him that the Draeni are no friends, but are instead enemies. Ner'Zhul then calls a meeting between with all the clans and send them out to attack the Draeni. The only clan that is not fighting is Duratan and his Frostwolf clan.Eventualy, Ner'Zhul gets another vision from his Mate who tells him that he was listening to the wrong being and that the ancestors will no longer answer to him. Guldan, Ner'Zhuls apprentice, betrays him and tells Kil' Jaedan about how Ner'Zhul tried to reach the ancestors. Ner'Zhul, now a demoralized husk of his former self, no longer is a threat to Kil'Jaedan and Guldan is now incharge. uldan then sends an all out attack on the Draeni fortress along with some demons brought by Kil'Jaedan. Although, some of the Draeni, including their leader, Velen, escape. The Orcs homeworld is dying so they open a portal to another world were the land is greater.

Customer Reviews:
Not too bad.......2007-03-23
If you liked the first book, The Art of Warcraft, then you'll probably enjoy this one, too. As expected, this book is packed with concept art and beautifully painted digital art. From characters to environments, this book has it. However, unlike The Art of Warcraft book, this one doesn't have as much text to explain the new characters, environments, and weapons. This book, as well as The Art of World of Warcraft book, seems like it was slapped together in a hurry so that it could be released to the public.
If this one had more text behind it and a little more organization, I would have given it more stars, but for those of you who care only for illustrations, then this book will probably appeal more to you.

Customer Reviews:
Descent but not perfect..........2007-10-02
This is a good book. While it production values are nothing like many other books in the series, it still has a lot of interesting information. Specifically, there are a myriad number of feats that make playing a forsaken character far easier. There are also feats that lend a greater feeling to interacting with spirits. Several of the prestige classes are good. How ever, some seem redundant, like the fact that they have shadow hunters and spirit champions, both of which fulfill a similar theme. The monster classes in the book are a tad over power (ie the ogre mage). All in all I found it useful.
For the Horde.......2007-07-03
This book delves into the rich background and history of the primary Horde races - namely orc, tauren and (forest) troll and it accomplishes this feat surprisingly well, while also introducing other playable races like the half-ogre, half-orc and abomination.
You will also find several horde only prestige classes like the Lightslayer, Plagueshifter and Shadow Ascendant along with new magic items (e.g. kodo helm of devouring & wyvern tamer gloves), tech-devices (e.g. doubleslammer, totem wings) and feats. The book is well worth the purchase if you are a fan of the horde, if you plan to enrichen your WoW rpg experience or if you want more credible foes for your Alliance themed game. Enjoy!
Not Part of the online WOW game........2007-02-07
It is a nice book. It takes me back to the days in 1978 when I learned to play dugeons and dragons using a paper and pencil.
But I was looking for a book to help me with the online version of World of Warcraft. And this is not the right book for that.
It does give some of the background information on the storyline. It was just the wrong book for my needs.
Excellent title!.......2007-01-12
Very well written and essential for fans of the setting. The tabletop opens vistas heretofore inaccessible. Combined with Lands of Mystery, this book is invaluable for running a Kalimdor campaign.
