This book offers no marketing tactics. It stresses honesty and friends. THANKS GUYS...That helps. DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK. IT IS A WASTE OF MONEY! I can sum up the entire book in this next two sentences. "Our real marketing thoughts will be in our next book. This book is basically a teaser (like a movie preview), with no information and an exciting title."

I have read numerous publications on building a successful financial planning practice. This is one of the better ones out there. This book is not only great at showing you creative and different ways to market your services, but also helps you put together a business plan and marketing plan that focuses on marketing. Some of the suggestions are brilliant and will definately help set you apart from the "typical" advisor. This is a great book to have close-by, and one that should definately be reviewed when creating your annual marketing plan.

Grant does an outstanding job of synthesizing the basic beliefs and techniques of Guerrilla Marketing and brings them to life by showing how they apply to a specific occupation.

This an excellently "voiced" book. Grant's text is interrupted at numerous points by comments from Jay Conrad Levinson, the father of Guerrilla Marketing. These "back and forth" comments add an additional level of interest to the book, showing where Grant has advanced the knowledge-base of Guerrilla Marketing.

This is one of my dog-eared, marked up books. I come back to it time and again to check strategies, look for new ideas and test tactics. You don't have to do everything at once. Just pick a tip or approach, follow through and measure your results. You'll find that many of these timeless practices fit the Internet-age, as well.

I can't say enough good things about this book. I have most of the Guerilla marketing books, but this was a real must for me. Having a limited budget to get exposure, Levinson helped me take my company and my authors to the next level of success.

It doesn't matter what your industry, product or service may be, the rules of PR are still the same and Guerilla Publicity does a fabulous job of starting at the very beginning and taking you step by step through everything you need to know; from writing outstanding press releases, to managing media lists to the absolute importance of following up once you have sent your kit out. I use this book as my PR bible, just last night I picked it up and flicked through for a refresher course. Not only does it provide the information but also the enthusiasm needed to launch a PR campaign and is a wonderful resource to keep on your shelf.

Like it's so not necessary to read this book because I don't know why people would want to in the firest place. It's like old and there isn't really any new stuff that i coulda learned. My best friend, she's into PR, she gave me this book and it was totally cool. Like all this stuff was things that I couldn't learn about in class and it made so much sense. Like, I didn't really think that this other book would be good enough.

In this incredible clearly written book, I realized I did sale my own work, and was one of my own best sales reps! It helped me see that being in "Sales" was interesting, certainly a change of pace from being alone in my studio making my Glass Art for sale. Showed me I was doing LOTS of things right & helped me see HOW to tweak sales with the right touches, Really took the fear out of the whole concept of "SALES". I want to thank my friend D.R. for giving me this book. It's amazing what it did for my attitude on self-repping. I saw immediate improvement in the sale of my work. EXCITING.

If you have never sold professionally, and your goal in life is to become a telemarketer, then this is the book for you. If, however, you are a professional Sales Representative for a reputable firm and wish to avoid the stereotypes associated with Sales People, don't waste your time or your money on this book. With strategies that include recommendations like "Form a relationship with your customers and then call them often. Once you form the relationship they will buy anything from you that you offer" and "Raise your prices, your customers will perceive more value in your product and you would need to lose a full 1/3 of your customers before affecting your bottom line", I should have spent my money elsewhere. This is the worst "sales" book that I have read to date. On a positive note, now I know why I avoid the telemarketers when they call to interrupt my dinner.

Book is part of a long line of "Guerilla" techniques that fail to deliver proven techniques but definitely overpromises on delivering the obvious. Save you money on this one and buy an 80 page Nick Murrray.

This book covered the entire sales process from preparing for the call, voice and stress exercises to selling tactics, objection handling and follow-up procedures for repeat business. The book was well written in a logical format and followed logical thinking in regard to how you would go about organizing your day. It also demonstrated the best approach to sales and how I want to be treated as a customer. Original sources of information were very well referenced. It's nice to see more of a trend of relationship building and getting away from the stereotypical "used car salesman" hard line approach to sales. The book was a relatively quick read (about 15 hours). The one thing I did not like about the book, was the last 4 chapters. It sounded like the dreaded "info-mercial" you see on late-night TV or the latest get-rich-quick MLM scheme you get with your home junk mail. Unfortunately, for me, it burst my bubble on the professionalism of the authors. They could have left that out and left the reader on a high note. All in all, I was impressed with the quality and accuracy of the writing.

This is a great resource! Our team booked over 200 qualified sales leads at our tradeshow with nothing more than the information from this book. So far with the follow up process we have closed 40% of the leads. The only way this book won't work for you is if you won't work the tactics!

People that gave this book low ratings probably wrote competiting books. Because there was mixed reviews, I didn't buy it online, instead I went to the store to see the whole thing. Within two minutes of looking at it, I was sold.
I'm an newly appointed advertising sales manager who went to one trade show and saw I needed help. So I bought this book. That was just 4 hours ago, and I already have 4 pages of ideas that I know will help me make a lot more $$$$$$.
I'm just writing this review so you don't get skeptical like I did. Its not filled with useless stuff to add pages. Its pretty good stuff that a relative newcomer to the game will find VERY useful. Hot Shots that know everything already and write bad reviews shouldn't be buying books like this anyway. right?

It's not a bad book but it's too specific for my tastes. I prefer Michael LEvine's Guerilla PR Wired, which is a fantastic marketing book that has something for everyone. I'd suggest this book before everything else.

Whether you're a big business or just starting, when you first pick up this book, you'll find plenty of ideas that you can use immediately to make a real difference at your next trade show.

And like most books that you read, not every idea will work for you. Yet you'll get enough ideas in the first several dozen pages to pay for this book 100 times over. Read the whole book and you'll pay for it more than 1,000 times over. It paid like that for me!

Best of all, the ideas are practical. While the authors suggest where to look for resources, they do so without being commercial.

I've bought nearly every trade show book printed, including all those available on Amazon. Guerrilla Trade Show Selling is the only one that I refer to before every show.

Get it. Read it. Use it. Profit from it.
