5 out of 5 stars Great Gift for Poker Lover.......2007-09-20

I got this for my husband and he hasn't stopped reading it. He will only pause to tell me something he thinks I might want to hear. 8-) I'm not a poker person, but with all the Poker on TV that I've seen (because of my husband) and listening to him endlessly talk about it, I think if these books have kept his attention the way they have, they must be good.

I don't know if that helps you but knowing my hubby, anything that pulls him away from playing poker must be good.

5 out of 5 stars they look great, fun and easy to read.......2007-09-18

As I said, this set looks great on my "poker books shelf" :) But aside that, it's a great read. Even the black book with many interesting details about poker. Green book is well written but my favorite is the blue book. It was so valuable to me to have a free ride threw profesional's poker mind. Highly recommend it.

5 out of 5 stars Good Easy Reading.......2007-09-06

Have read 1st two books, and took a 3rd & 5th in tournments, can't wait to finish last book!!

5 out of 5 stars Great poker books!.......2007-07-24

I have read 15-20 poker booksa and these are among the best I have read in a long time. Phil's dedication to the game and his committment to keep learning is well communicated in an easy to read style. It keeps you entertained and makes you feel ready to be more aggressive with a better understanding of what winning poker is about.

5 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT.......2007-05-07

EXCELLENT trio of books for novice to expert. Phil does a great job of explaining as well as challanging you to think. your game will definately improve after this book. Put it together with Dan Harringtons 3 books and you can't find a better poker combo period. 2 contrasting style of players but overall the same message. Just a great trio of books.

Michael J. Behe, a biochemist at Lehigh University, presents here a scientific argument for the existence of God. Examining the evolutionary theory of the origins of life, he can go part of the way with Darwin--he accepts the idea that species have been differentiated by the mechanism of natural selection from a common ancestor. But he thinks that the essential randomness of this process can explain evolutionary development only at the macro level, not at the micro level of his expertise. Within the biochemistry of living cells, he argues, life is "irreducibly complex." This is the last black box to be opened, the end of the road for science. Faced with complexity at this level, Behe suggests that it can only be the product of "intelligent design."

Book Description

The groundbreaking, "seminal work" (Time) on intelligent design that dares to ask, was Darwin wrong?

In 1996, Darwin's Black Box helped to launch the intelligent design movement: the argument that nature exhibits evidence of design, beyond Darwinian randomness. It sparked a national debate on evolution, which continues to intensify across the country. From one end of the spectrum to the other, Darwin's Black Box has established itself as the key intelligent design text -- the one argument that must be addressed in order to determine whether Darwinian evolution is sufficient to explain life as we know it.

In a major new Afterword for this edition, Behe explains that the complexity discovered by microbiologists has dramatically increased since the book was first published. That complexity is a continuing challenge to Darwinism, and evolutionists have had no success at explaining it. Darwin's Black Box is more important today than ever.

Download Description

From within the highest ranks of the scientific community comes a startling new theory of creation that not only contradicts Darwinian orthodoxy but opens the door to theological arguments biologists have dismissed and ridiculed for more than a century.

5 out of 5 stars A great critique of evolution........2007-09-25

Supporters of the classic evolution that is taught in schools went nuts when this book was published. It could be argued that Michael Behe started the inteligent design theory and brought the debate of evolution back public stage.

Behe has been heavily criticized for daring to confront the evolution juggernaught and has made his book a must read for anyone interested in the evolution debate. This book is important and will shape the thinking of evolutionary scientists in the future, whether they like it or not.

1 out of 5 stars Behe's empty box.......2007-09-05

First let's start with a quote from The National Academy of Science. " Creationism, I.D. and other claims of supernatural intervention in the origin of life of species are not science because they are not testable by the methods of science."

Mr. Behe uses the terms darwinism, darwinian evolution, darwinian gradualism through-out his book instead of modern evolution because he knows this name carries alot of heated imagery in the minds of the fundamentalist. If confronted with the findings of modern day evolution I think Mr. Behe would realize just how shakey the ground for his ideas would become.
He condems Prof. Doolittle for using a "yin yang" analogy but goes on to give boring and irrealivant analogy after analogy of his own.
He states that 90 persent of Americans believe in God as if the truth were dictated by a show of hands. If that were true then he might want to convert to Islam since the Muslim faith is the largest religious group in the world.
This leads me to my next problem with Mr. Behe's book. He is constantly refering to an intelligent designer or intelligent agent, and then speaking of the supernatural and divine. Here I have two questions.
1. Why use the singular noun? Why not appeal to many intelligent designers or agents?
2. Why could'nt these creators be "natural" as opposed to supernatural?

Which leads me to my final gripe.
Mr. Behe is constantly telling us how the scientific evidence points to an intelligent designer but never offers his own testable proof. Complexity is not proof in and of itself. What is the indentity of this creator? He does'nt say. The whole book seemed to be a rant against scientist who do not agree with his view. Mr. Behe seems to think there's this big conspiracy against the truth. Who's truth? His.

5 out of 5 stars Amazing stuff.......2007-08-31

Functionally interdependent irreducible complexities....fascinating. How can these be adequately explained? I find it truly amazing.

5 out of 5 stars Wonderful.......2007-08-22

Down to earth with complexity explained in a simple readable way. This is a very good source to dispute one of the most absurd notions in the history of the world....evolution. Fantastic, logical, and full of expert knowledge. Dispute it if you wish, but truth is evident. God is real!

5 out of 5 stars Mount Improbable becomes Mount Impossible. .......2007-08-12

Like all books dealing with controversial topics and which attempt to actually answer questions rather than wade about in a non-committal and ultimately unhelpful middle ground, I made a bet with myself: when I looked at the reviews of this book on Amazon, I would find something resembling a u-shaped distribution. People would either love the book and award it 5 stars or hate it and award it 1 star.

And, of course, that is exactly what I found: binary "love it" or "hate it" responses from most readers.

Perhaps what I enjoyed most about this book was the tone. Unlike Richard Dawkins - the "shock jock" of atheistic evolutionists - who relies heavily upon verbal abuse and mockery of dissenting views to bolster his own, Behe attempts to let the science speak and not only tones down the rhetoric, he dispenses with it altogether. His tone throughout is that of a scientist, using Darwin's own criterion for falsifying macroevolution as set forth in "Origin of Species"; namely, "If it could be demonstrated that any complex organ existed which could not possibly have been formed by numerous, successive, slight modifications, my theory would absolutely break down."

In his book "Climbing Mount Improbable," Dawkins attempted to show that by making the changes required by Darwinian evolution granular enough and small enough, that to ascend even the tallest mountain of improbability we need merely break the journey into minute quanta such that the ascent is so gradual as to be barely noticeable and hence, ultimately achievable. Fine. But as Behe points out so compellingly here, the devil is in the details. Behe takes the criteria set forth by Darwin, and the "pop science" of Dawkins, and puts them to the test showing that some steps cannot be made arbitrarily small or occur independent of other steps. Dawkins asserts an idea and seems content to let someone else slog through the details. In contrast, Behe concerns himself here with such details.

What Behe, a professor of biochemistry at Lehigh University in Pennsylvania, shows is that some steps cannot be made infinitesimally small and "simple." Instead, he discusses "irreducible complexity" whereby the building blocks of life are now accessible to science through the relatively new discipline of biochemistry. Biochemistry shows that as we open the so-called "black box" of Darwinian evolution where we had to previously content ourselves mostly with inputs and outputs because the box's innner workings were not accessible, we are now in a position to actually see how the "black box" works at its most fundamental levels. And what do we find? That far from being simple, the more we increase the power on the microscope, the more we find that life is horrendously more complex than imagined. Behe demonstrates, though the concept of irreducible complexity, that certain features cannot be made arbitrarily simpler by insisting that its constituent parts evolved gradually and individually. All of the pieces would have *had* to appear simultaneously which a Darwinian model simply cannot accommodate.

Detractors (such as Dawkins) are quick to say things like "this could have happened" or "here's an example of what might have occurred" but dreaming up a sequence of events is light years away from actually showing *how* it could occur, chemically and mathematically. Dawkins should consider a career at Cartoon Network developing storyboards because his real talent lies in dreaming up fanciful ways things might occur, without those troublesome tethers to reality. On second thought, storyboarding is pretty much what he's doing on the BBC already, so I guess he's discovered his calling although he prefers to call it "science."

Behe selects several examples of things that could not have evolved because they cannot be explained by "numerous, successive, slight modifications." Among these are the blood clotting mechanism, flagella, and the immune system. He shows that a postulate requiring these appear via a series of steps is simply unworkable within the framework of Darwinian evolution. Some steps, when reduced to their smallest, remain so utterly enormous that they move from the realm of the improbable to the impossible.

Finally, Behe does an excellent job of addressing the issues of this debate that are so often fraught with emotion; namely, that to posit a designer instead of purely naturalistic, gradualistic chance is equivalent to mixing science and religion. He makes a strong case for why this is *not* so, drawing on our experience with the science/religion controversy that once surrounded the Big Bang theory of the universe's origin.

I urge you to read the book and decide for yourself if Intelligent Design is scientifically sound and can exist independent of one's beliefs regarding a deity. I believe it can and I believe Behe's book makes an exceedingly strong case for such an assertion.

Customer Reviews:

1 out of 5 stars Far too theoretical - no practical application.......2005-09-01

You need a math background including set theory, graph theory, calculus, and combinatorics, in order to get much of anything out of this book.

And, what you'll get has no practical application at all to real world, every day, practical software testing.

This book belongs in a senior level math or comp.sci. college class. Fascinating reading, but don't buy this book if you need to learn how to do software testing in the real world. Buy it if you've been a software test team leader for several years, and have some academic interest in exploring the mathematical robustness of your test suites.

2 out of 5 stars Very hard to follow and needs some more examples.......2005-03-13

I tend to agree with all of the above reviews regarding this book. I am attempting to read this book at present and find it very difficult to understand how the different test models apply in the real world. I use to test setup for a major computer company. I am guessing that Chapter 8, Syntax Testing, or Chapter 9, Finite-State Testing, would apply. But I need more than the brief introductory paragraphs to know which one applies: Ch 8 - "Syntax testing is a powerful technique for testing command-driven software and similar applications. It is easy to do and is supported by commercial tools". vs Ch 9 - "Originally motivated by hardware logic testing, the finite-state machine model is an excellent model for testing menu-driven applications." The material in the chapters is thorough but dry.

1 out of 5 stars Very hard to follow this book.......2003-10-02

If you don't "Memorize" Chapter 1 and 2 It is impossible to understand this book. I realy did not like his approach. I prefer people explain to me and understand the example instead of forcing us to memorize. If you are software Quality Engineer and tester and if you think you can use example of this book to devlope test script, forget this book. it is useless without memorizing above listed chapter.

2 out of 5 stars Techniques may be useful but be cautious of opinions.......2002-01-24

Dr. Beizer appears to use the medium of a textbook on black box testing, which is the domain of testers without knowledge of source code or design, to promote the opinion that independent testing is useless except to protect the independent tester. Later, he admits that 80 percent of an average product lifecycle is maintenance phase, which he admits is an appropriate use of independent testers, as he admits also their use for specialized testing tools such as performance tools. His techniques may be effective but an executive level review of this book could be dangerous to the future of quality software engineering practices.

3 out of 5 stars Not much use to non US testers.......1999-12-15

While this is a well put together book, it's reliance on the US IRS Tax Form for all examples, makes it doubtful that anyone not familiar with the form will gain much. This book is probably fine for a US Citizen, but for the rest of the world, his other books are far more accessible.

Book Description

Readers join desperate pilots in the cockpit as they fight gravity and time in a plane that's falling out of the sky.

Anyone who watches the news knows about the "black box." Officially called the cockpit voice recorder, the black box (which is actually Day-glo orange) records the final moments of any in-flight accident. Often it provides the only explanation of a crash -- inevitably, it provides a heart-breaking, second-by-second account of intense fear tempered by unyielding professionalism.

This 1984 Quill title has been completely updated to include twenty-eight new incidents occurring between 1978 and 1996. Some are famous, like the 1996 Valujet crash in the Everglades and the ill-fated launch of the space shuttle Challenger; other disasters range from commuter prop aircraft to jumbo airliners and a pair of Air Force planes. Few have ever been revealed in their entirety, each, without exception, is absolutely gripping.

In this new edition, editor Malcolm MacPherson has, wherever possible, added weather notes and descriptions of events in the cockpit and cabin, heightening our vivid sense of being there during the final moments. Provided by the National Transportation Safety Board and vetted by an experienced airline captain, these are unforgettable case studies in ultimate emergency -- authentic, immediate, filled with drama, terror, human frailty and error, and unquenchable courage.

Customer Reviews:

3 out of 5 stars Nothing new.......2006-08-14

If you spent any time reviewing CVRs, then there is nothing new in this book. Although there are several inaccuracies/mistakes, the worst part of the book is that it gives almost zero insight into what happened in each case. A short one page write-up at the end of each CVR would really help this book.

1 out of 5 stars PLAGIARISM.......2006-04-12

This collection of CVR transcripts from air crashes and near misses is a huge waste of money. MacPherson just reproduces excerpts from the transcripts that can be found on the internet at the NTSB website and many other sites. In their complete form and for free. His short paragraphs of explanations of the incidents involved add nothing to the book because it is obvious that the author knows nothing of aviation. If you are a true student of air crashes, look up the complete accident reports on the NTSB website or avsaf.org or a number of other sites. These are free and much more informative. Black Box is a cheap excuse for jounalism. I'd actually give it less than 1 star if I could.[...]

4 out of 5 stars Compelling Reading.......2005-10-25

I suspect the reviewers who were looking for excruciating details are more of the anorak/spotter/enthusiast persuasion than certificated fliers. Personally I found many of the transcripts contained lessons that will certainly follow me into the cockpit. The CVR transcripts also show a level of professionalism and skill that I think the flying public is by and large oblivious of.

2 out of 5 stars It helps to know about the crash before you read this book.......2005-09-01

Unfortunately, there is nothing new in this book. For the most part everything in the book, except for the few comments provided by the author, is available on line and most sites include much more detail. The CVR in and of itself does not tell the whole story and a little more background on each of these disiasters would have helped to make this a much better book. If you are not familiar with the accidents in question this book will do more to confuse and create questions than to provide you with insight and information.

2 out of 5 stars The "Wrong Stuff".......2005-08-09

Having read many different variations of these books, it is my humble opinion that this particular edition tends to treat the reader as a layman, rather than as a pilot, or at least someone versed in the aviation lingo. The author also includes unhealthy doses of vulgarity in the transcripts, which does occur in cockpits from time to time, but I wouldn't want the pilot's next of kin to know their loved-one's 'salty' mode of speech is being read by total strangers. There are better, more informational offerings of this type. "Aftermath", published by the editors of Flying Magazine, is a good example. "Air Disasters" by Stanley Stewart is a very thorough, technically precise treatise on several major aircraft accidents. Mr. Stewart is an actual aircraft accident investigator, and his personal knowledge of the field greatly enhances the accuracy of his published mishap investigations and findings. "Black Box" is entertaining, and the inclusion of the Space Shuttle Challenger voice transcripts is a welcome addition to the considerable list of entries. Nevertheless, the salient theme of this volume is to relate aviation data to the non-flying public.

    Book Description

In the course of designing his recent production of Mozart's The Magic Flute, artist and animated filmmaker William Kentridge created a mechanized theater maquette. When he saw the miniature stage's potential as sculpture, projection site, and installation, he began to imagine Black Box, the freestanding structure whose development and installation are documented here. A movement-filled, visually charged piece, it is peopled with two-dimensional mechanical figures, completed with scenic elements and lit by flickering video. A digital projector displays animated films created from Kentridge's charcoal drawings and sculptures. Kentridge considers his title term in three senses: a "black box" theater, a "chambre noire" as it relates to photography, and a "black box" flight data recorder, as used in airline disasters. The clandestine fourth reference may be to his ongoing exploration of German history and its convergence with South African history through Namibia, a former German colony that came under South African control prior to gaining its independence. Black Box evokes all that, and the joyful mechanics of pre-cinematic visual spectacles, magic lanterns, the camera obscura and the zoetrope. A unique and richly layered meditation on the act of seeing, on vision and experience, and on the nature of knowledge itself.

    Book Description

Economists have long treated technological phenomena as events transpiring inside a black box and, on the whole, have adhered rather strictly to a self-imposed ordinance not to inquire too seriously into what transpires inside that box. The purpose of Professor Rosenberg’s work is to break open and examine the contents of the black box. In so doing, a number of important economic problems be powerfully illuminated. The author clearly shows how specific features of individual technologies have shaped a number of variables of great concern to economists: the rate of productivity improvement, the nature of learning processes underlying technological change itself, the speed of technology transfer, and the effectiveness of government policies that are intended to influence technologies in particular ways. The separate chapters of this book reflect a primary concern with some of the distinctive aspects of industrial technologies in the twentieth century, such as the increasing reliance upon science, but also the considerable subtlety and complexity of the dialectic between science and technology. Other concerns include the rapid growth in the development of costs associated with new technologies as well as the difficulty of predicting the eventual performance characteristics of newly emerging technologies.

5 out of 5 stars thecnology and environmental history.......2000-06-08

To know what happens in and out of the black box is to know what is the thecnological change not only like a cuantitative or monetarian problem but like a problem in relation with the natural resources and the environmental problems. The Rosenberg's concept have had a great acceptacion all over the historical and economical research -by Deborah Fitgerald, on the study of the relationship betwen science and agriculture (the animals are more thecnoeconomics than real animals), or by Naredo, on the study of the relationship between fertilitzers, food and consumers. The book also is in the line of Kranzberg's laws, and the reflexions of the environmental history (LAtour, Merchant, Haraway, Keller, etc.) -the thecnology travel by packages, it depends of the political and institutional factors and his failure or acceptation depens on the reception context -investigation and difusion.

"Belieu's poems use a vernacular of their own to suggest a noir world of erotic innuendo and red lights waiting to be run."- Neon

Black Box is a raw, intense book, fueled by a devastating infidelity. With her marriage shattered, Erin Belieu sifts the wreckage for the black box, the record of disaster. Propelled by a blistering and clarifying rage, she composed at fever pitch and produced riveting, unforgettable poems, such as the ten-part sequence "In the Red Dress I Wear to Your Funeral":

    I root through your remains,
looking for the black box. Nothing left
but glossy chunks, a pimp's platinum
tooth clanking inside the urn. I play you
over and over, my beloved conspiracy,
    my personal Zapruder film-look. . .

When Belieu was invited by the Poetry Foundation to keep a public journal on their new website, readers responded to the Black Box poems, calling them "dark, twisted, disturbed, and disturbing" and Belieu a "frightening genius." All true.

5 out of 5 stars Beautiful and Depraved.......2007-07-29

Along with Josh Bell, this is one of the few poets that can take the natural depravity of human beings and spin it so many ways; it can be funny, sad, loathing, contempuous, bitter, bitter-sweet, etc., but it never goes unearned and each poem seems to stem from some form of loss or injustice. Any poet that can take the darkest side of human nature and "tell it slant," as they say, to make you laugh or sit in a sublime kind of shock is worth reading... so few poets can make "silk out of a sow's ear."

    5 out of 5 stars Excellent!.......2007-06-03

Before I reveal what I think of Erin Belieu's poetry, a confession: We were classmates once. It was in graduate school, where our interactions were so infrequent, they barely qualified us to identify each other in a police lineup. So understand that I have no incentive beyond the quality of her work to either praise or condemn it. That said, Erin's poetry is stunning. I'll throw out more clichés -- raw, bold, witty, honest, haunting, powerful, dynamic, illuminating. It's so good that if Milton Berle were a poet and alive, he would steal it. I generally avoid poetry the way I do needles and babies, but Erin's work is just that impressive. It's a fairly safe bet that many more readers will discover her, but now's your chance to get ahead of the curve, to be able to say, like me, "I knew her when . . ." I suspect you won't be disappointed.

IS THERE SUCH A THING AS A 'WISH MACHINE?" Revealed: The Mystery of the Hieronymous Machine and Other Black Boxes. They are known as Radionics, Ociloclasts, or Hieronymous Machine, Detector Rods, SYmbolic Machines, or simply Black Boxes. They are often called by those who know their deepest secrets "Wish Machines." These Black Boxes use ancient techniques wrapped with the trappings of electricity and machinery of the modern era. This highly controversial field claims to have detected and modulated our virtual life force to trant wishes and to heal the wounded mind and body. Naturally, they are not sanctioned or endorsed by the FDA, the medical community or scientists at large. Some have, in fact, called it modern "Voodoo Technology!" Once you set your mind on what you want to achieve, practioners say it is easy to reach your goals by utilizing one of these devices. Here are descriptions for Energy Wheels, Electronic Mind Control Machines, Crystal Power Rods, Interdimensional Medicine, Time Travel, Dimensional Technology and much more. Here is information on How To Understand Mind Machines. How to build Mind Machines. How to apply their basic technology!

4 out of 5 stars A New Meaning For Mind Over Matter .......2006-10-06

"Mind Machines, How To Understand Them, How To Build Them, Applying Their Basic Technology." That title is quite a mouthful of claims that would strike many as ludicrous in the extreme. But the combined efforts of Patricia Ress and Commander X, in this recent book from Inner Light/Global Communications, may change your mind.

The book begins with Commander X's helpful history of the earliest mind machines, such as the primitive dowsing rod, an instrument that dates back more than two thousand years to a Chinese Emperor named Yu. Since that time, dowsing rods have been used to find water and oil and even to diagnose medical conditions. A series of Catholic priests in the early part of the 20th century had demonstrable success using dowsing rods to help the very ill, some of whom modern medicine had given up as hopeless.

Around that same time, forward-thinking researchers made the leap from dowsing rods to the so-called "black boxes," electronic devices that used a similar method of detecting vibrations in unseen places as a dowsing rod, except that the black boxes were now powered by the modern day power grid. The term for this science is "radionics," a combination of "radiation" and "electronics." It has been a controversial aspect of various disciplines, including alternative medicine, ever since, and remains outside the borders of "rational" scientific research today.

Even within the field, believers in black boxes are divided as to whether the machines work by themselves or because of the psychic presence of the machines' operators. It has been established that one can remove the inner workings of a given machine, even take away its battery or power source, and yet the user can still obtain the same results as with a machine in proper working order.

It is those kinds of mysteries that researcher and author Patricia Ress addresses in her section of "Mind Machines." For instance, she explains the concept of "electronic voodoo," by which one can use a black box to project one's thoughts and achieve a desired outcome. Ress insists that this isn't a form of mind control, or of bending someone else to our will. It is instead a gentle nudge in the desired direction that the target person may already be inclined toward. It all comes down to electromagnetism, according to Ress, and the black boxes function to help us focus our thoughts and visualize properly in order to obtain the things we want. A kind of "wish machine," if you will.

On the more practical side, Ress discusses a personal experience she had with a new kind of healing device, called an "A-Physical Dimension Access Manager," or ADAM for short. The device makes use of something called "musical holograms," a strange sounding music which Ress would listen to as she lay on her bed and relaxed. She feels that ADAM helped both her arthritis and a heart arrhythmia she had suffered with for many years. Ress explains that the treatment is administered over the phone or through the Internet, and seems to work by way of a complex firing of certain hormones in the body in response to the music. The music somehow corrects the vibrations being broadcast by the parts of the body that are ill and helps to stimulate the body's natural healing properties.

Both Commander X and Patricia Ress caution that one must have a positive attitude when working with the black boxes or mind machines, and that one must never try to put the devices to some negative or immoral use. Meanwhile, the book can be employed to train the mind and enhance certain mental capabilities that help to keep your outlook upbeat and in tune with the more benevolent powers in the universe. One can't expect to wish for a Cadillac and then have it drop from the sky, but the knowledge gained here can still be the means to many a happy end.

    Book Description

Complexity theory is the theory of determining the necessary resources for the solution of algorithmic problems and, therefore, the limits of what is possible with the available resources. An understanding of these limits prevents the search for non-existing efficient algorithms. This textbook considers randomization as a key concept and emphasizes the interplay between theory and practice:

New branches of complexity theory continue to arise in response to new algorithmic concepts, and its results - such as the theory of NP-completeness - have influenced the development of all areas of computer science.

The topics selected have implications for concrete applications, and the significance of complexity theory for today's computer science is stressed throughout.

4 out of 5 stars good graduate level text.......2005-09-05

Wegener's book seems best suited for a graduate level course in algorithms or complexity. This subject is one of the key conceptual underpinnings of computing. For those of you desirous of a deep understanding of the complexity of a problem or algorithm to solve a problem, then the text furnishes good explanations.

All the classic problems are here. Knapsack. Travelling salesperson. And various black box approaches. The key demarcation in the text is between a problem that is NP complete and one that can be solved in polynomial time. But a virtue of the book is that even with an NP complete problem, it may well be possible to derive approximate solutions that are polynomial complete.

It's certainly not a simple book. Some of the problems are very hard. But that leaves room for you to improve on the current methods of solving them.
