Book Description
“People who love dogs often talk about a ‘lifetime’ dog. I’d heard the phrase a dozen times before I came to recognize its significance. Lifetime dogs are dogs we love in especially powerful, sometimes inexplicable ways.”–Jon Katz
In this gripping and deeply touching book, bestselling author Jon Katz tells the story of his lifetime dog, Orson: a beautiful border collie–intense, smart, crazy, and unforgettable.
From the moment Katz and Orson meet, when the dog springs from his traveling crate at Newark airport and panics the baggage claim area, their relationship is deep, stormy, and loving. At two years old, Katz’s new companion is a great herder of school buses, a scholar of refrigerators, but a dud at herding sheep. Everything Katz attempts– obedience training, herding instruction, a new name, acupuncture, herb and alternative therapies–helps a little but not enough, and not for long. “Like all border collies and many dogs,” Katz writes, “he needed work. I didn’t realize for some time I was the work Orson would find.”
While Katz is trying to help his dog, Orson is helping him, shepherding him toward a new life on a two-hundred-year-old hillside farm in upstate New York. There, aided by good neighbors and a tolerant wife, hip-deep in sheep, chickens, donkeys, and more dogs, the man and his canine companion explore meadows, woods, and even stars, wade through snow, bask by a roaring wood stove, and struggle to keep faith with each other. There, with deep love, each embraces his unfolding destiny.
A Good Dog is a book to savor. Just as Orson was the author’s lifetime dog, his story is a lifetime treasure–poignant, timeless, and powerful.

A Good Dog: The Story of Orson, Who Changed My Life (Paperback) .......2007-09-24
I live on a small hobby farm. I have 5 dogs, 4 horses and 1 cat to care for. I get up at 5AM to feed, muck out stalls, and take my dogs for a walk before going to a 37 1/2 hours a week job 24 1/2 miles from my home.
I know how much physical labor it takes to do all the routine tasks, let alone mend fences, pay veterinary bills, etc. I find myself to be a bit unsympathic to a person like Jon Katz who hires help whenever he needs it and who also seems to get rid of any animal on his farm who is more than he can handle emotionally and physically. Why not try harder to work with the more recalcitrant animals instead of shipping them off to another place or euthanizing them? Mr. Katz is correct in saying that most misbehavior on the part of our companion animals is a reflection of the confusion we send to our animals through conflicting or incorrect non-verbal signals.
IT'S JON KATZ THAT SHOULD BE PUT DOWN.......2007-09-18
A few problems with Jon Katz:
1. Puts an ultimate price on how much the life of the dog he supposedly loves is worth. Wouldn't spend the money to see if there was a physical reason for the biting.
2. Expends energy on trying to make this dog into what he thinks he should be. When this fails, at the first sign of real trouble, abandons this dog he supposedly loves and has him killed.
3. Professes to support responsible dog ownership, yet lets Orson be around people without warning signs, without being on a leash, without being in a muzzle near other people. If a child had been bitten it would have been Katz's fault.
4. Uses his shaman as a way to excuse himself from killing Orson because Orson is now "at peace". Of course he's at peace, he's dead.
5. Only buys from breeders - doesn't even attempt to adopt dogs from rescue organizations. Buying from breeders when there are plenty of pure breds in shelters and specific breed rescue organizations is inexcusable and irresponsible. The equivalent number of dogs he "purchased" were killed in shelters from lack of homes.
6. Doesn't want dogs in his life to honor them as individual beings and individual companions. He wants them to serve specific purposes in his life for his needs. The moment he gives up on making Orson into what he thought he should be, he kills him.
7. This man is selfish, and truly emotionally unprepared to fully commit to another being. He should have learned a ton about commitment from Orson - that one escaped him.
8. Orson changed his life? He returned the favor big time. Death is a major life change.
I love books - I shredded this one. Couldn't stand the thought of anyone else reading it.
A Desperate and Pathetic Way to Try and Sell Books.......2007-09-17
Read to page 181 of A Good Dog and stopped. Katz undoutedly believes he's very clever in manipulating readers and creating controversy to finally sell some books. What a disgusting, guileless way to treat a living creature that rewarded him with its loyalty and looked to him for it's well-being. The ultimate betrayal. Given his lack of spine, let's hope Katz doesn't have a mentally disabled or otherwise challenged child that he would also undoubtedly abandon.
I usually donate books or give them to friends or family to read once I'm finished. I threw this piece of trash in the fireplace. Thankfully, I didn't spend any money on this thing, rather got the book free in local promotion. Good riddance Jon Katz. There is no place a decent society for someone like you.
Misleading to dog lovers.......2007-09-01
I'd read earlier books in Katz's series of memoirs about his life with Orson and other dogs. But this book illustrates that for all of Katz's bluster about how much he loves the dogs and bought Bedlam Farm for them, he didn't dedicate himself to providing a safe and healthy environment for his first, problem child border collie. This book is bound to irritate any true dog owner who has struggled to rehabilitate a rescue with behavioral problems, rather than take the easy route of euthanasia and buying a problem-free puppy.
Good DOG.......2007-09-01
Once again Jon has written a beautiful story about his farm life and dogs. I enjoyed every minute and couldn't put it down !

Customer Reviews:
Great read.......2007-06-08
Owning Sibs and other breeds over the years I laughed till I had tears reading about Caesar. What a great read. Not that I recommend it for the bathroom reading but that is the only place my hubby will read. I walked past the door one day and he was laughing hysterically. I just knocked on the dog and asked "Caesar?" He replied "Lived that one before!"
After having lived with so many characters over the years it is easy to see that they really are true stories. If you have a dog lover in your life this should be in their stocking.

Dog Stories.......2007-05-13
A good book for people of all ages who love dogs. Although, like many of Gary Paulsen's books it is geared toward teens, this is a quick read for anyone. Laughs and tears throughout!
A Review by Bonnie.......2007-04-27
Reading this book, My Life in Dog Years was an OK book. You read all the different dogs' stories. What every dog's personality is, and what the dog does with him. Some stories are very interesting. It is an easy book to read. If you like reading about dogs, this book has all kinds of good stories.
A great book!.......2007-03-27
My Life in Dog Years, written by Gary Paulsen was one of the funniest books I've read in a long time. Gary Paulsen has an extremely different way of writing from other authors. I have read a couple of his other books. This was probably not his best, but it was well written. I would highly recommend it for any dog lover.

Customer Reviews:
About a boy and his dog... .......2007-01-23
This book is the story of Willie Morris' childhood companion, a dog named Skip. Willie recounts his adolescent years and all the fond memories of his dog and friends as they grew up together in small town Mississippi. The story is heartwarming and the author paints a very clear picture of all the shenanigans, good times and bad that he and his dog had together over the years. I liked this book; but I think a male reader would appreciate the bond between a boy and his dog more than I can.
My Dog Skip.......2007-01-19
This is a wonderful and touching story. It is a good read, and I recommend it to anyone who has ever had a pet. I especially like that it has a jack russell in the story.
Best Book!.......2006-03-18
This was a great book! It was so touching and heartfelt. I love dogs and this book is an example of someone who loves dogs like me so I can connect! Greatly recomended!
One of the best dog stories I have ever read.......2006-03-17
Willie Morris was a truly great author! This story of his childhood with his dog was really heartwarming. It is so simple and warm and humorous, you will just love it. Warning: you will cry your eyes out at the end, but it's worth the pain. One of the best animal stories ever, I hope many kids read this in school. If you loved the movie "A Christmas Story" you will love this book. The movie version of "My Dog Skip" is also quite good, though it is kind of upsetting that in order to create drama the wonderful father of the book is kind of nasty in the movie. Willie Morris was a great author who also wrote a cat book entitled "My Cat Spit McGee" and several books about his life that remind me a little of Russel Baker's memoirs. One is entitled "North Toward Home", another "Good Old Boy" and one is about life in New York City.
Beautifully Told.......2004-01-06
Willie Morris has recounted the life of not just a boyhood pet, but a dear and close friend.
The Story of Skip's life as told by his owner is full of mythic adventures of childhood. Where every new day was full of joy and wonder. Morris' storytelling brings the dog, his family and the lush southern landscape into full and brilliant view.
When you read My Dog Skip you can just feel how much this young man loved and revered his dog.
Any of us who have had a much loved pet know that the bond between animal and human can reach so much further than just "pet and owner". Willie Morris makes the statement that Skip wasn't just his dog, but his brother... that is a beautiful thing. Morris grew up an only child but did not feel alone by any stretch of the imagination. He was loved deeply by and deeply loved his dog Skip.
Another great point made in this book is how Willie Morris learned so much from his dog Skip. He clearly states that the most lasting lessons he has learned about love and loyalty came from knowing his dog.
This book captures so well the love a boy or any human being can have for a pet... I loved the story and highly recommend it!

You would think that a 12-pound dog would know her place in the world. Well, you obviously haven't met Clara, the pug that rules writer Margo Kaufman's life and the topic of discussion in Clara: The Early Years, Kaufman's hilarious account of living with the imperious pug. Kaufman, author of This Damn House! and the Hollywood correspondent for Pug Talk magazine, admits to being the "Official Pug Lollipop," a fact that Clara takes full advantage of. From their first meeting in a New York hotel room, Kaufman knows that Clara is "different": "Five minutes after her arrival, she inspected our junior suite like Leona Helmsley checking to see if the chocolate mints on the pillows were lined up at the right angles. Clara noticed the spacious queen-sized bed, the plush carpet, and the cozy loveseat in my sitting room. She beheld the cold hard floor--tile, not even marble--in her tiny bathroom. And she realized that the Human had put her own comfort over the pug's--a serious error that must be corrected at once so the Human would not make this mistake again." Sure, most people would have run screaming from the little Hitler, but not Kaufman. She's instantly smitten with the tiny, "bat-eared," "jack-o'-lantern"-toothed puppy, as the whole world soon would be. Joining Kaufman on book tours, stealing the show with her designer doggy cap and natural on-air charm, posing for photographs (to be used in dog-food endorsements, no less), and generally hamming it up and handing out orders, Clara comfortably stakes her claim to the Kaufman clan--including fellow pug Sophie. But when Kaufman and her husband decide to adopt Nicholas, a Siberian orphan, Clara feels the limelight slipping away. Wrapped in bureaucratic red tape, the adoption process involves not only months of paper pushing but a trip to Siberia that just about puts Clara over the top. Luckily, the persnickety pug accepts Nicholas into the fold and all is well in Clara's universe. As for the Kaufmans, well, indentured servitude to a pug isn't so bad. Kaufman's witty observations--combined with Clara's unforgettable antics--make for a memorable read. --Stefanie Hargreaves
Book Description
"Before Clara, I was not a Pet Parent. The Pugs were dogs. Cute dogs, willful dogs, lovable to be sure, but I was Human. I was in charge. Then along came Clara, and all bets were off."--Margo Kaufman, from Clara
Acclaimed columnist Margo Kaufman fell in love with pugs when she was nineteen. But none of her previous pets could compare with Clara, a glossy black, twelve-pound package of pug charm and pugnacity with the face of an imp, the heart of a ham, the seductive skills of a slut, and the deductive gifts of a genius. It didn't take long for Clara to let her new pug parents know who was ruling their California household--whether she's sipping Evian from a cut-crystal bowl at Saks, or performing a star turn on PrimeTime Live. Filled with the author's trademark wit and dry observations, Clara is the hilarious and heartwarming story of the unforgettable pug.
Customer Reviews:
i owe so much to this book........2007-08-14
After stumbling upon this book in a tiny country bookshop, i read it in just a few days and fell deeply in love with pugs. i was completely charmed my the author's dogs, especially Clara, and soon i had rescued my own little black pug from a shelter. My pug goes with me everywhere, and as the author states, "is living proof that god has a sense of humor." these little dogs make me laugh every day, and this book will make you laugh on every page. Clara, Margo, and their adventures in LA will have you splitting your sides, and whether this is your first introduction to pugs, or your a long time lover of the breed, you will relate to and be touched by this book in unexpected ways.
Clara-Quick Read.......2007-07-08
I really enjoyed the first half of the book, after all we do have two black
pugs, but the second half was more about their adoption of a foreign baby and the pug story got left by the wayside.
never received item.......2006-11-10
I have been waiting since Sept. and I never received this item!
This book is great for pug lovers.......2006-10-26
but for those of us going through adoption, it was a bit cold. I actually shuddered when she spoke of her reluctance towards adopting a Chinese girl. I might be overly sensitive here, but it did strike me a bit racist. I also have a puggy whom I adore, but if there's any problem between her and my to be adopted daughter, I'm afraid that puggy will have to go live at my mum's. Anyone who isn't ready to put their human child first really isn't ready for parenthood (on the bright side, the author eventually did come around to putting her son first, but I've seen quite a few couples who were so wrapped up with their dogs that it's like the kid should be kept in a cage, and that's not right. This is why people like Caesar Milan exist to teach yuppies the importance of treating dogs like dogs and not spoiling them as children).
Overall, very interesting story. I'm sorry that the author lost her battle to cancer. Unlike one of the other posters, my first thought wasn't "Poor Clara", but "Poor Nickie" to have lost the only mum that he's ever really known. I'm sure that die hard dog (and especially pug) people will be mad at me for this review, but I'm not a dog person. I'm a person who happens to have a dog that I love. I agree that pugs are the only dogs cute enough to make one put up with the hassle of dog ownership (it is very costly, restricts much of your time and vacations, and there usually is something in the house to clean). I love my puggy to death, but she is absolutely my first and last dog. Hopefully, with this book, readers can get a sense of what it's really like to live with this breed (there's quite a tale about an expensive eye operation) so they can look before they leap into pug ownership.
Wonderful book for Pug lovers.......2006-08-25
If you don't own a Pug, you won't understand the humor. If you do, you're going to love this book!

Customer Reviews:
soooooo funny but good!!!.......2007-08-13
I loved Million Dollar Dilemma! I read alot of Christian fiction but Million Dollar Dilemma is one of my favorites! Its funny, has an interesting plot, and Cassia is a loveable character. Its also thought-provoking and challenging. I like Judy Baer's use of scripture throughout the book. Its a light read.
This book's worth a million!.......2007-07-24
Million Dollar Dilemma was not the typical chick-lit book, well, it was, but there was something different about it. It made me actually think about my own life. I think of most chick-lit books as just an easy read-something to get my mind off my daily routine and life. This book made me actually think, "WHAT WOULD I DO IF I WON 20 MILLION DOLLARS?"
My initial reaction was, well I would give 25% to the church (I mean, look how much I have...I don't need it ALL...), put 50% in savings, and then buy a new car, a nice outfit, take a trip, etc. with the rest.
But by the end of the book I understood it all. MONEY DOES NOT BUY HAPPINESS.
This book is a wonderful book in making you realize that very important proverb.
The ONLY thing I didn't really like about this book is that I was a little concerned with Baer's idea of the main character falling in love with a man who was not firm in his Christian walk, whereas she was. It all turned out okay, and the man WAS a Christian, he was just not EQUALLY yoked with her, because she was so very strong in her faith and he was not. Minor detail though, and he came back to the Lord, strong as ever in the end.
Great book though!
Money (That's NOT what i want).......2007-04-05
Cassia has always lived a life of frugality. She's learned to live cheaply and not worldly. In fact, money is the last thing on her mind. So it's a shock for her when she finds out that what she thought was a $5 donation for an office present is really her share in a multimillion dollar jackpot lottery ticket. Now she's being bombarded by everyone, those who want her money, to give her advice, even those she barely knows. Plus now she has 2 guys are who are vying for her attention. Cassia wants nothing to do with the money, but it's everywhere she goes. Money's not just the root of all evil, it also makes a normal life practically impossible!
Ok, who hasn't dreamed about winning the lottery? Everyone, no matter what they believe in, has had thoughts about what they would do if they were given a million dollars. How they spend the money may differ, but I'm sure that even the most practical person has some plans for its use. And that is why I found Cassia to be a very unreal character. Frankly she annoyed me quite a bit. I don't mind that she didn't want the money. I just found it annoying the way she kept complaining that she didn't want anything to do with the money, and then she's worried about having to pay rent. She brought up wanting to go back to college but not being able to because she didn't have money. Ok, now she has money but she won't do it because she doesn't want to touch the money. I don't understand why Cassia couldn't save just a little for her future and then give the rest away. She kept acting like it was tainted and evil. I also didn't really like that she kept throwing around Bible verses in normal conversation. If she was my coworker, I would have thought she was either showing off. There's nothing wrong with studying Scripture, but when it's quoted out of context, it's weird. I didn't really feel her relationship with Adam had much chemistry. I liked him, he was a good guy, I just didn't feel that they clicked. I did like Cassia's final decision about what to do with her winnings.
I personally enjoyed The Whitney Chronicles a lot more than this book. Maybe it's because I could relate to the main character in that book as opposed to this one. This book was a light read, but I would recommended TWC or Norah's Ark to a first time Judy Baer reader.
What would you do if you won the lottery?.......2007-02-16
A completely entertaining and thought-provoking novel! The characters are likeable. The main plot involves our main character splitting lottery winnings with her office mates. As a Christian, she is conflicted over this because she wouldn't have played the lottery on her own. She only contributed to the lottery ticket because she thought she was chipping in for a gift for a co-worker.
Judy Baer is a very creative and colorful writer. Million Dollar Dilemma was a fast-moving, fun read. But it did get me thinking about how I would behave in the same situation. How do you really know if someone likes you for you or for your net worth?
Don't even bother!.......2006-12-14
I LOVE Christian Chic Lit, & I even adored the prequel to this book, "The Whitney Chronicles", but Million Dollar Dilemma, was just ridiculous. I felt the plot was very contrived, and there was not a lot of character development. The pacing seemed off, and the storyline was just too bizarre. Now, sometimes it's fun to indulge in fantasy-reading, but as a reader, I sure couldn't "just go along" with it..... I love books that enrich my devotional life, but the scripture spouting seemed very forced, like the author said, "Well, think I'll throw a scripture reference on this page."
I really did not connect at all to this character, Cassia. She was very flat, unseemingly naive, weak & had no personality.
In fairness to Ms. Baer -I KNOW she is a good author, as mentioned above with her "Whitney Chronicles". I have heard from friends that other novels that she has written are equally as good. This was just not up to par.
I recommend reading the Yada Yada Prayer Group Series.

Book Description
This is a delightful book for dog lovers of all ages! Fun for people with a new puppy or new dog as well as those with "existing family pets," it is a wonderful way to record memorable times and organize the many great photos one has of their best friend.
"Finding You," "Homecoming" and "Words & Phrases" are just a few of the fun sections to complete (all of which have space for photos)! Compare what you wanted to teach your dog to what they actually learned. Record what your dog has trained you to do! Highlight things you do that wag your dog's tail. Coming home probably tops the list! How well did you do in obedience school? Was your dog the valedictorian or simply average?
There are twelve pages exclusively for pictures with a variety of headlines such as "Silly Moves," "Romping & Rolling" and "Unconditional Love." The last two pages of the book, "Love Notes," feature ruled lines to recount more special memories.
This book holds up to 65 photographs (depending on size and orientation). The book becomes personalized when one places their dog's photo on the title page, which then shows through on the front cover! The pages are a beautiful, heavy stock sturdy enough to hold lots of photographs. The simple, clean design is eye-catching and intentional...allowing your photos to be the highlight of the book.
A donation from each book sold will be made to The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in honor of all of the wonderful dogs in our world.

Helping the Healing.......2002-09-12
Our four-year-old dog died this summer, and our children were having a hard time dealing with it. I found this book, and was able to put a wonderful journal of her role in our family, from the day she was born to her last days with us. It has thoughtful sections that just about anyone can fill in about their dogs. Now, when we're sad, we turn to the book and it keeps her with us. It would have been great to have when she was alive, and I'm getting one for the other dog.
Really great 'baby book' for your 4-legged children.......2002-07-07
This is a wonderful book for anyone who loves their dogs as children. I bought one for our 3 year old adopted beagle, and am getting one for our daugher-in-law's birthday for their rottie. You can personalize it as you wish, and I have included comic clippings (Marmaduke, Mutts, etc.) that are appropriate along with the photos and have created the beginning of a great book for my best friend that I will keep forever.
My Dog's Life a photo journal of unconditional love.......2002-04-30
What a fun book. It is perfect for all ages, from little ones with their first puppy, to empty nesters. We picked one up when we got our new Puppy Toby, and have started to fill out the pages in detail. We wish we had one for Alex, our 14 year old Golden, that passed on in November. Many Thanks to Nancy Dewar and Marble.

A Perfect Series for the Developing Young Reader.......2006-05-24
Biscuit has been a busy pup in the past 10 years. He's visited a pumpkin patch, gone to school, celebrated holidays and even met a baby.
Now Biscuit is going on an exciting adventure. He's off to the big city!
Biscuit is interested in exploring and meeting new friends. The city is bustling with activity and there's so much for Biscuit to see.
He starts with pigeons and before you know it, he's seeing tall buildings, a city bus, a fountain and so much more. Biscuit seems to be enjoying himself and wants to say hello to everyone he meets.
Just when you think Biscuit may actually be lost in the big city, he's really just found his way to a hot dog stand and his friend Jack. Along the way, he's made some special friends like pigeons and other dogs.
The Biscuit series of books is such a great find for readers ages 3-5. The words are big and bold, the sentences simple for developing readers and the story line keeps the young reader's interest.
Biscuit Visits the Big City is no exception. The book gives children the opportunity to read for themselves and also practice their sound effects with words like "woof, woof!," "beep, beep!" and "coo, coo!"
The illustrations are also fun for children reading along with their parents. Biscuit Visits the Big City is a cute book to enjoy together or to let the young reader branch out on his own for the first time.

The classic memoir of the most famous and influential Boxer breeder in the history of the breed. This is a new translation (1999) of the 3rd edition (1987) of "Mein Leben mit Boxern" by Friderun Stockmann. For over sixty years, through two world wars and many hardships, Stockmann bred and developed the Boxer breed into the beautiful animal it is today. This is a biography of both Friderun Stockmann and the Boxer. Over 600 delightful sketches by the author illustrate the text, along with numerous photos. In this edition there are over seventy additional pages of essays by Stockmann, which have never been translated into English before. Truly a beautiful book for the boxer lover.

William Wegman and his cast of canines are back, and this time Chip is in a bit of a bind. His school report is due and he hasn't got a clue as to what he might want to report on--all he wants to do is take pictures! But write a report he must, so Chip heads downtown in search of a topic. He consults a host of characters--and snaps their photos, too--including fire chief Chundo, construction foreman Culvert, Barry the beautician, and police officer Badgerino, who tells Chip that "ideas come from everywhere. There is no one way. Look in all directions." Chip takes Badgerino's valuable advice and decides that a photo essay is a great idea. After all, a "picture is worth a thousand words!" Wegman does it again with imaginative settings, colorful text, and those delightful Weimaraners.

Such a cute book........2002-05-27
"My Town" is a great little book. The story is simple, but it has big meaning in it. The dogs are just wonderful and they'll bring a smile to your face. I recommend.
Great Book about great characters in a great town, Great!.......1998-11-27
My Town is a book about life and how, if you just think about it, a solution to any problem is just waiting to be found. Our family loves it. Would be a wonderful family Holiday gift. Brings smiles and laughs to all of us. Plus Bill Wegman is just one nice guy and "My Town" is just one great book.
William Wegman's best book to date. Great Design!!.......1998-05-03
William Wegman's new book is a hilarious look at life in Chip's hometown. He meets a lot of outlandish characters along the way and learns a very important lesson when it comes to writing his school report. Hysterical! Another new brilliant book by William Wegman.
Book Description
Poignant, funny tales about a man and his dogand the lessons learned about responsibility and enduring friendship It is love at first sight when Carlo De Vito, an aspiring book editor, first meets Exley, the rambunctious, rescued German Shorthair Pointer he adopts and who becomes his faithful companion. In 10 Secrets My Dog Taught Me, De Vito writes about their experiences growing up togetherand the life lessons that invariably result from their adventures. Ultimately, when his beloved friend is gone, De Vito discovers some truths about love, loss, and lasting friendship. It had been Exleys job to raise me. All that time we had been having fun, going for walks, getting into trouble, being companions and friends in some great adventure. And I had spent so much time teaching him to sit, stay, lie down, roll over. But all along, he had been teaching me. It is the child that makes the man, and in this case it was a dog. All along it had been the dog doing the teaching, not me. How do you like that? And I love him for it to this day and will for the rest of my life. Writing in the heartwarming, bestselling tradition of Pack of Two and My Dog Skip, De Vito captures the spirit of that tie in a way that will resonate with not only dog lovers, but all those who share their heart and home with a pet.

Not what I expected..........2007-08-29
This book is okay I guess, but for some reason I just couldnt get into it. It wasnt like "Marley & Me" (which I loved. It lacked a little bit of emotion and it didnt seem like someone was just telling me their story about their dog, it just seemed like he was trying to teach me a lesson or lecture me.
10 secrets my dog taught me: lifes lessons from a mans best friend.......2007-05-12
This bookd was so enjoyable i coul hardly put it down. Being a dog lover it brought both laughs and tears. I recommed it for any kind of animal lover who can learn a lesson from a four legged person.
Excellent!.......2007-02-05
This book is so well written and a must read for any dog lover. It truly teaches you life lessons. I learned so much about my dog and myself as I read this book. Fantastic!!
Even better than Marley & Me.......2007-01-27
The author's style and story-telling ability are terrific and the story is touching. Marley & Me was a good book but this is the tale that belongs on the NY Times best-seller list!
Great lessons in a short book.......2005-12-12
As a dog lover, this book really hit the mark. It was short, entertaining, emotional, and provided life lessons (or reminders) to help each reader become a better person. I really enjoyed the story - I laughed and cried. A must read for dog lovers - particularly those strapped for time and tapped for patience.
