Entertaining.......2003-06-10
This book contains hundreds of useless and fun trivia questions about the older (and some of they newer) Disney characters, films, shorts and attractions. From `Can you name Daisy Duck's three nieces' to `What was Mickey's Starland originally called when it opened in 1988', this book has enough easy trivia mixed within the very picky, unusual facts to keep any type of Disney fan entertained.
The book is also organised very well, with the index listing the character's name, the movie or the attraction. So, want to find questions on Peter Pan? Check out page 57. How about Walt Disney? Page 171 for you!
And of course trivia books are always interactive - one game I played with my little ones was to ask them the questions for a particular movie and then watch that movie so they could find the answers they missed.
Great fun for the family!

More substantial story than "trivia".......2005-09-25
Hyperion released this book in October 1997, and it includes the "GH" spinoff, "Port Charles." Its author, who says he's been a "GH" fan since 1978, has also written "The Soap Opera Book of Lists" and "The Soap Opera Encyclopedia." Calling it a "trivia book" would seem to reduce its relevance and substance, as it really is a wealth of behind-the-scenes info about the show. The book includes black-and-white stills from ABC scattered throughout (it's sanctioned by ABC Daytime Press). Chapters feature celebrity appearances on the show, famous fans of the show, real-life romances of the stars, real-life names of the stars and more. The book's contents are also indexed at the end. (Oh, and there ARE a few "trivia" quizzes at the end of chapters!)
For GH fans old and new alike.......2002-02-23
This book has a lot of the show history along with trivia questions. Yes, the answers are included *grin*. If you are a long time viewer, you will enjoy going back over the highlights thru the years. The trivia questions are fun to test your knowledge of the soap.
For new viewers, this is a great way to catch up on past story of your favorite characters. See why Luke and Cassadines have fueded. Learn about Laura and her mother Leslie. There are several pictures from the show, but be aware, they are black and white.
I am the list owner of a GH fan group and I use this book to give weekly questions to the list. The members love seeing who will send in the correct answer first. Some who have viewed for many years have been stumped on occassion.
If GH is your show, this book is a must. It would make a really nice gift for someone you know who is a fan, too.
General Hospitol.......2001-08-08
I heard of that abc T. V. show called, "General Hospitol."
It is a book called The Official General Hospitol Trivia Book from the hit abc T. V. show like All My Childeren & Who Wants To Be A Millionaire my favorite T. V. shows.
I will love General Hospitol that the book will remind you of the book Son of Black Beauty by author Phillis Briggs like Mary Kate & Ashley Olsen's videos Billboard Dad, How The West Was Fun, The Case of the Logical I Ranch & The Case of the Hotel Who Done it the ones that would be cool.
I'll love that book.
It would be just like Rodeo Bloopers 2 & 9 the videos.

A TOTALLY AWESOME Trivia Book About the "True Golden Era of Television", the 1980s!!!

Thank you, Michael!!
80s TV... wow!.......2001-08-10
I had fun with this little book. Being a child of the 80s, I spent a great deal of time in front of the television as a kid. I did pretty well, even though there were quite a few stumpers in ths book. I've just ordered the author's other title, and can't wait to read it.

As rare as a Mackinac peach.......2004-01-04
This trivia book on "Seinfeld's" first four seasons is a lot of fun, but don't count on an updated edition anytime soon: Castle Rock Entertainment, which produced "Seinfeld," put the kibosh on the book five years ago when they won a copyright infringement lawsuit against the publsher.
All unsold copies were ordered destroyed, which is why "The Seinfeld Aptitude Test" now commands almost 10 times its original selling price.
Great Trivia!.......2002-04-09
After my husband and I used the "SAT" to quiz each other about the show, we put it in our guest bathroom. Needless to say, many of our friends have enjoyed the book, as well. I wish Beth Golub would write a follow-up, since this book was published before the show ended.
Great trivia book to have at your parties........1999-01-18
This book has great trivia for your party games. I have used it at home and at work. I only wish there was an updated version with trivia past the 1994 episodes. For example, one of the questions asks "what is Kramer's first name"? The book's answer is "unknown", but we all know it is "Cosmo".

Did the writers watch wrestling?.......2007-01-07
I was looking to buy this book last night at the mall. I browsed through a few pages only to find wrong answers for questions. What's the point of making a trivia book if your answers aren't even correct? Go ahead take a look under No Way Out for trivia. It asks what the February pay per view for the WWE is and sure enough the answer is Backlash! Now any legit wrestling fan knows the annual February PPV is No Way Out! Secondly under the same category it asks who was the Champion at the first No Way Out? Now any wrestling fan again would know that the answer is Shawn Michaels heading into the biggest main event in the history of Wrestlemania at the time. However the book says Steve Austin! Do what you will with this. I would not waste my money on buying this book. The only purpose it will serve is to confuse all wrestling fans. Beware!
Hard-core fans only.......2002-12-25
This is pure, unadulterated, trivia - over 1,600 questions! This will take you from the mid-80s Wrestlemania to the most recent wrestling shenanigans. The book has everything. And, while the Trivia Book has more words than a typical pro wrestling fan may be accustom to, a few (black and white) pictures scattered throughout the book will help keep them in their comfort zone.
Oustanding -- you will not regret this purchase.......2002-11-29
One of the most tantalizing trivia books I've ever read. Some of the insightful questions really make you stop and think about how far wrestling has come. Feigenbaum, who has a PHd, really shows why he is considered the most erudite writer in wrestling. Enjoy.

Mistaken fact about Hayley Mills in this book.......2002-10-15
On page 138 of this book it claims that British movie star Hayley Mills was 18 in 1966. Wrong! In 1966 Hayley Mills was 19 and then 20. Hayley in fact was born in 1946. For the book's statement to be true she would have to have been born in 1947 or 1948.
Book Description

Lost episodes.......2005-06-02
A true lover of the Honeymooners (Originals) would notice that this book contains mostly lost episode trivia.
The book is very well put together. The fact finding and pictures must have been a tremendous task.
My search is still on for a trivia book that contains only the original episodes.
Have you created a household utensil to do the work of all of these?
Humman a humman a humman a.
Can it core A apple?
Long live the Honeymooners. (the new movie will not do the show justice.)
New York's most famous bus driver.......2004-06-16
With the recent passing of Art Carney, I found myself reviewing all those episodes of The Honeymooners that I had taped over the years. I've always considered myself an "expert" of the show, and even as I laughed again at the antics of Ralph and Norton, and their long-suffering wives, Alice and Trixie, I discovered new things. Then a friend of mine told me about this book, "To the Moon!: The Honeymooners Book of Trivia" and discovered I was I mistaken about my expertise.
John Katsigeorgis has compiled a great list/quiz of Honeymooners trivia and created a thoroughly enjoyable book that any Kramdenophile will LOVE! The questions range from the obvious to the "I should have known!" to the real tough. An extra bonus is the sprinkling of dozens and dozens of photos throughout the book, many of which I had never seen. No lover of the show should be without this book, and it makes a great gift for anyone you know who is.

An Example of Movies Defacing the Truth........2006-09-10
The First Superman The Nation Loved., September 10, 2006
Reviewer: Betty Burks (Knoxville, TN) - See all my reviews
In the Fifties, we had a real Superman, someone who fought for Truth, Justice and the American Way on television. He wasn't as dapper as Christopher Reeve but George Reeves was the first and foremost Superman. To us teens back then, he looked old and bulky (not sualve as they do today), but that was the way the male actors in the movies were for the most part then. All the kids looked up to our Superman as presented on our home t.v. sets. This kinky film shows the sordid backstage life of a mortal man who had no other roles (he tried in a Sinatra movie and bombed), because of his involvement with a married woman. Her husband even bought him a nice home for $12,000 which he considered a good investment as he had his own foreign paramour living in his mansion. He wanted to keep the little wife happy.
It's just pretend, making shows on television and movies for the big screen. Being directed by the person who did 'Sin in the Big City,' that is the sordid way the Superman icon is presented. Well, he was just plain marvelous as Clark Kent, but his personal identity was humiliating to him and he wanted other things besides being a t.v. performer. She wanted him as he was and refused to help him further a film career. Thus, when he found a younger woman and fell in love, she set out on a murderous path of revenge.
There were perplexing endings so you can take your pick as to who actually killed him in his own house, or if he did indeed kill himself. I always believed you every time, he'd told her; I had no idea I could spread so much joy. There was much more going on that you realize, and the guys were all frauds. Nothing was as it seemed. Before he met his demise, he told her, "You owe me an explanation," which he never got. All he got was a fatal shot in the head. It was depressing. One woman commented to me on the way out, that it was well-done. I repleid that I would have to think about it.
Actually, two stories were woven into one: the ill-mannered investigator played by Sean Penn with his sordid life and that of the major characters which made the movie rambling and disjointed. How's that? Why's that? A good biography of the first Superman on the screen, someone we all admired, was not in this movie. Instead it was like 'Sin in the City' in the Hollywood of the Fifties. No wonder Eddie went wrong, as he believed in that stuff. It was all make-believe and dangerous.
You can skip this one and watch it on late-nite t.v. in the near future. There is not much redeeming value in watching one of your heroes sullied in this manner. Even if he was only a man, not a Superman, in person. He had the right to live out his life, but that one married woman felt differently. She is the villain even if she didn't pull the trigger. It's possible she did it in person, but with this story as presented here, we will always have to wonder.
