4 out of 5 stars Interesting book.......2007-05-22

For some reason this book really made me want to travel and visit some of these places, I plan to start with the Whaley house next month and Queen Mary after that.
The book doesn't go into more than a few pages per place, but it makes you want to research more about each place, it certainly sparks interest, and even if you do not believe in ghost it's just a cool little bit of history mixed with folklore.
One really great thing about this book, the author gives you contact information, so if you are like me and wish to visit, you can contact them.

5 out of 5 stars The Worlds Most Haunted Places.......2006-11-10

I really enjoyed this book. It goes to show you that haunted places
are all over, not in just one place.
If you are interested in this subject at all, I would suggest you get
this book.
You will enjoy it I'm sure.

5 out of 5 stars Scary and Satisfying!.......2006-08-04

Jeff Belanger writes about the world's most haunted places in this book with satisfying detail and supporting stories from people who experienced the haunting. This book covers castles, mansions, pubs, hotels and more. He delves into the history of each place - something that is often missing from other books about ghosts. I highly recommend this book if you love to read about ghosts.

2 out of 5 stars Misleading Title & Poorly Written.......2006-06-28

I did not particularly care for this book for three reasons. First, most of the locations listed certainly do not fall into the "World's Most Haunted Places" category. Second, the locations are well-known to those with an interest in true ghost stories--in other words, nothing new. And third, the author makes numerous grammatical errors and his writing style/ability is about that of a high school student. Mr. Belanger just doesn't have what it takes to tell a good ghost story.

4 out of 5 stars Like others.......2006-06-27

Although I enjoyed this book, alot of it was like other haunted listing books. Too repetitive. Good addition to your paranormal library.

5 out of 5 stars Great!.......2007-08-24

Really great book! It only took me maybe a week to finish the book and there are some really scarey moments. Loved it!!!!

3 out of 5 stars He was HOW OLD?.......2007-07-17

I liked this book. Like the previous reviewer said, it was a fast fun read - at times unbelievable - but interesting. OK, here is my issue. In the book she has a friend Hamp. Hamp dies shortly after looking at the photograph someone took of him with balls of light forming the year 1967 above his head, which turns out to be his year of birth according to the author. Per the timeline she purchased the house in 1980, and Hamp passed the second year she lived there. SO - do the math - Hamp was 15 years OLD? Understand that in the book this character is detailed as an imposing but gentle giant of a MAN that is a very close friend and spiritual advisor to her, but based on her dates he was a kid. Anyway. This and a few other seeming falsehoods in the book do stand out, but overall it is well written and entertaining. I feel very sorry for all she had to endure at the hands of her husband though. Such a jerk!

5 out of 5 stars Good read!.......2007-06-16

I really enjoyed this book. I thought I would have been scared but it really just fascinated me enough to make me want to visit the Myrtles. I think this book would make a great movie! I really felt for her and what she had to go through to run the Inn. I couldn't put it down.

1 out of 5 stars Fiction not Fact.......2007-02-15

This book, like the Amityville Horror, was sensationalized to sell and, apparently, readers were not disappointed.

Although The Myrtles is advertised as the most haunted house in the US in which at least 10 people were murdered, records indicate only one person was murdered inside the house.

Chloe, the mistreated slave mistress who wears a green turban to conceal her missing ear, is the invention of people who owned the house in the early 1970s. In GHOSTS ALONG THE MISSISSIPPI, published in 1948, the ghost in the green turban is described as that of a French governess who had lost an ear to frostbite while working in Canada, and family records confirm such a governess was employed at The Myrtles.

Although oleander is a deadly poisonous plant occasionally utilized by murderers, no such poisonings took place at The Myrtles. This, too, was an invention of the people who changed the green-turbaned governess into Chloe, the slave.

This is not to say The Myrtles isn't haunted. The French governess may still haunt the house along with a few other spirits. But I would think the most active spirit would be that of Judge Woodruff who is angry about his good name being maligned by modern-day sensation seekers.

Regardless of all the hoopla about The Myrtles, it is not even the most haunted house in Louisiana, let alone in the US. Destrehan Plantation has several real, not manufactured, spirits and is more likely the most haunted house in Louisiana.

5 out of 5 stars True paranormal.......2007-01-22

Excellent at keeping my interest; writing very easily understood. Really going to make this a "must do" for vacation. WOW! I want to go there so bad.

3 out of 5 stars Pretty good, but not perfect..........2006-01-06

I have become a big fan of LivingTV's show "Most Haunted", so when I saw this book on the shelves at a bookstore in the UK, I picked it up without hesitation. After all, it promised to give you a behind-the-scenes look at the series as well as tips to discover your own medium inside yourself!

For the most part, I did find the book interesting. However, I felt that there were a few things that took away from the experience. First of all, I'm one of those people who don't like endings spoiled, and in this book there were a lot of re-caps about specific events that occurred on specific locations (a passage about Derek being possessed by someone evil at location X for example). So you might want to skip certain sections if that bothers you.

Second, some of the 'behind-the-scenes' interviews and such that the book highlighted were actually just transcripts of what the people had said on the diary camera when the show aired.

Third, I found the section on discovering how to become a medium a bit disappointing, although I guess I don't know what I was really expecting from one chapter. Basically, it just said if you hear voices in your head, listen to them, or try and visualize what might be behind a door before you open it. Not exactly earth shattering stuff.

I probably sounds like I'm complaining, but overall I did enjoy the book. I think that the word 'companion' to the TV series is accurate, is it can be fun to read over the crew's descriptions of what happened during your favorite episodes and some of the information is new and interesting. I think it's still worth a read if you're a fan of the series, but just don't expect it to move mountains.

5 out of 5 stars A Must-Have for Most Haunted Aficionados.......2005-09-08

Fans of Living TV's Most Haunted will enjoy this book immensely. An engaging companion work, it provides that extra "fix" of detail we all crave following an episode of this amazing British paranormal investigation documentary series (now seen in the States on the Travel Channel).

This work is not a scholarly treatment, but an informal and familiar behind-the-scenes look at the filming of all the spooky and ghoulish goings on at the Most Haunted locations. In which episode did make up artist Cath pee her pants in fear? What crystals did David provide all crew members for grounding? What terrifying events happened to Richard at Craig Y Nos before the filming even started? Just what do the shows mediums see in their minds eyes? All of these and more are answered in Most Haunted Behind the Scenes Guide. Those interested in a more academic treatment of the locations can eagerly anticipate the imminent release of Richard Felix's series of books in the fall of 2005.

Sit back, enjoy, and "Sleep Tight"!

5 out of 5 stars Another Great Read.......2007-05-22

I recently moved to Old Louisville and knowing nothing about the area, read the first book by David Domine, Ghosts of Old Louisville. I was sorry when the book ended and started immediately on the second book, Phantoms of Old Louisville. I also took the Ghost Tour of Old Louisville, which was hosted by David Domine himself, last Friday night. I am so glad that he did write about these old homes and the area, otherwise I would not have known any history or folklore to accompany me here, on my move from Los Angeles to Old Louisville this last January. He allowed those of us on his tour into his wonderful home, which was magnificent. I could see the actual place where one of the purported hauntings happened and it was decorated and restored beautifully which made it an extra bonus. These books have given me a perspective on this area that I really would not have had if they weren't available. I am so waiting for October and the "haunting" season to begin. Another aside, I still don't know if I really believe in "ghosts", however, when reading these books late at night, I found myself having to put them down, and listening very closely to the sounds of my own Old Louisville home, and sometimes, I couldn't start reading again until the next day.....just too many chills and possibly a wild imagination at work. I found these books to be wonderful reads, never dragging, held my attention, and I now use them for reference when looking at the places and events described.

5 out of 5 stars Phantoms of Old Louisvile is a great read!.......2007-04-08

Phantoms of Old Louisville is the second in David Domine's fascinating collection of authentic ghost stories from the largest Victorian neighborhood in the country. You can read this one first or you can read Ghosts of Old Louisville first, it doesn't matter because each book reads well by itself. This one, like the first, is a great collection of stories dealing with reportedly haunted locations in the area known as Old Louisville. But, don't worry if you're not from Kentucky. These stories are fascinating no matter where you come from. If you love ghost stories, as I do, you will love this book. Each chapter combines equal parts supernatural events with local history and wonderful architecture. The author makes the neighborhood come to life and draws the reader in on a fascinating journey to the past. The level of writing is excellent, and the only thing that surpasses it is the unbelievable degree of storytelling involved. Although it is a work of creative non-fiction, it has a novelist's flare about it. This, like the first, is a book that will keep you up all night till you have finished it early the next morning. I cannot wait for volume III! Thanks to the author for an entertaining and informative read!

5 out of 5 stars THIS IS A WORTHY FOLLOW UP TO GHOSTS OF OLD LOUISVILLE.......2006-11-03

In his latest book, Phantoms of Old Louisville: Ghostly Tales from America's Most Haunted Neighborhood, David Domine does an admirable job following up on the chills and thrills of last year's bestselling Ghosts of Old Louisville: True Stories of Hauntings in America's Largest Victorian Neighborhood. In this sequel, Domine has managed to unearth even more tales of the dearly departed in the grandest Victorian neighborhood in the country, and he presents them to the reader with the same engaging prose and mouth-watering descriptions he employed in his first book. And, as before, he has managed to capture a distinct feel for the neighborhood he loves so much, and he successfully uses it to create a mood piece that transports the reader back to a time when spirits from Beyond looked on as bustled ladies served tea in elegant front parlors, servants gathered for modest meals in the back kitchen and the domestic arts (unlike today) occupied a hallowed spot in American households.

I look forward to his next book and recommend this one to all who enjoy a good ghost story with added architectural tidbits and lots of local flavor.

5 out of 5 stars Domine delivers with "Phantoms".......2006-10-18

David Domine follows up on last year's "Ghosts of Old Louisville" with this year's just-as-delightful "Phantoms of Old Louisville".

Old Louisville has a rich Victorian history, complete with its own haunted past. Domine brings both of these facets together in a wonderful marriage thanks to his detailed descriptions and narrative skill. Skeptics and "ghost hunters" alike can appreciate the ghostly tales Domine has uncovered in his unopinionated style, and decide for themselves how true these accounts seem to be.

In his writing process Domine has obviously worked hard at doing extensive research, conducting interviews, and verifying stories and alleged "facts" of supernatural occurances to make the chapters as in-depth and fleshed-out as they are (for an added touch, the introductory and afterword sections come penned from Halloween night of the previous year).

The stories he presents to readers are greatly interesting, and some induce chills and definite eerieness. The backgrounds of some of the spirits here range from amusing to melancholy, and the types of supernatural activity reported are just as varied. Not only do we learn of the supernatural, though---all along the way Domine knowledgably points out architectural features of various grand Victorian mansions and old public buildings, giving that feeling of actually being taken back to this bygone era for a brief period. He has certainly studied his Louisville history, too, as is evidenced by his sharing of interesting facts from Old Louisville's true heyday.

Sprinkled throughout the book are some black and white photographs of the different locales. They add a little visual flavor to each of the intriguing accounts. Also, in the front of the volume is a map of the general area with a location key for those readers who want to venture to Old Louisville and visit some of these locations for themselves.

For a splendid read---especially with Halloween coming on in autumn---definitely check out Domine's "Phantoms of Old Louisville", and its predecessor, "Ghosts of Old Louisville". They are fascinating examples of Victorian architecture, city history, and, most importantly for such works, tales merging this world with that of the spirits.

Happy reading.

5 out of 5 stars Fun book!.......2003-04-09

I'm the owner of one of the apartment houses that are listed in this book. It's a private residence, so out of respect for my tenants' privacy, I won't specify which one.

Even though I wasn't the owner at the time this book was published, I can confirm that one of the families living there is still experiencing occasional phenomena. Granted, it's nothing as extreme as the incidents detailed in the book by a few of the former tenants, but it's still enough to remind them that not every noise in the dark or slamming door has a neat and tidy explanation.

Overall, this is a fun book. If you're looking for a good book for late night reading, I'd recommend this one.

5 out of 5 stars An excellent book and very fun to read!.......2000-03-31

This has got to be one of the most interesting books on ghostly phenomena out there to date! The format used by the author for each story in the book was creative and is something I have yet to see in other books on the subject of ghosts. Because the format was unique, it made the book very interesting and such a pleasure to read! For those looking for good ghost stories to read without getting bored, this book will not dissapoint you. An excellent read!

5 out of 5 stars Great Ghost Encounters!.......2006-05-24

This was the third book by Michelle Whitedove that I have read. It is a complete departure from her first two books on the phenomena of Angels and after death communication. Ghost Stalker is a wonderful book full of educational material including a glossary. The author gives so much information on ghosts, evil spirits, and some of America's most infamous haunted places. As an author and Psychic-Medium, it is great to learn the true facts from someone who can SEE and COMMUNICATE with spirits. She gives a unique perspective on the age old questions: Are ghosts real? What are orbs? How do ghosts travel? Why do they stay in these places? Are hauntings a method of communication? etc. Plus I really enjoyed the way the book was written from the actual journal pages of her ghost trip. You feel as if you are there driving with her and experiencing these haunted places. This is a fascinating account of her trip. I especially enjoyed the chapter on Tombstone, Arizona. Don't expect an "over the top" piece if fiction. This book is very believable and full of valuable insights about ghosts and why these souls refuse to leave their Earthly home. I highly recommend it! PS. Michelle Whitedove's website has her trip photos so you can see the places for yourself.

1 out of 5 stars Disappointed.......2006-03-20

I was expecting more for my money. This seems to have been written for junior high school aged kids. It's a dud.

2 out of 5 stars Just too hard to believe.......2006-02-24

I am a believer in ghosts and in the fact that some people have extrasensory perception, but I just found her to be unbelievable. The places she went were well known and it would have been easy for her to know the stories before hand. It also seemed that the information came too easily to her. I just found it hard to swallow at times. For the ghost stories though, I like them, hence the two stars.

5 out of 5 stars Ghosts Speak / Medium Listens.......2005-01-12

Ghost Stalker is unique. This book is written by a psychic investigator who thoroughly explains the phenomena of ghosts and hauntings. This author does not propose theories, as many other books do. Michelle Whitedove has communicated with the "Other Side" since she was a child, so she gives us the facts in a way that everyone can understand. In this book Michelle Whitedove treks across America visiting some very haunted places. She writes in travelogue style so that you are along for the trip. You will visit The Bird Cage Theater in Tombstone Arizona, a saloon that is inhabited with invisible gunslingers and dance hall girls, Myrtles Plantation, in bayous of Louisiana, where a slave still watches over the children that she poisoned, and the Queen Mary where some wealthy patrons still reside...even after death. All of these locations were all well documented and extremely interesting. She also visited a host of haunted places off the beaten path, most of which are open to the public. So if you are a ghost enthusiast, this book will give you definitive answers along with an entertaining journey across America. Michelle Whitedove is the author of several other books on spirit communication and life after death.

5 out of 5 stars Ghost Stalker.......2004-01-21

Once again, with a depth of honesty that's so identifiable with Michelle, she takes us on a great adventure of the paranormal. I found this book at times to be so humorous that I laughed out loud while reading it, and at times so scarey that I had to look over my shoulder to make sure nothing was there. Only the truth can move you so swiftly through a book. Read this book it's EXCELLENT, and definately a cut above the multidudes of books on the same subject.

4 out of 5 stars One of the best ghost hunting guides on the market.......2006-09-13

Harry Price, through his detailed and lengthy investigation of Borley Rectory, gives us a decent set of guidelines for today's paranormal investigator. Price was thorough and methodical and had an emphasis on objectivity not really seen before or since its time. While his techniques could use refinement (not biasing observers before the investigation, speaking with experts to examine, say, the haunted locks, etc)it is a great read for those considering their own investigations. The book is an interesting read whether you're merely curious or thinking about becoming a researcher yourself.

The haunting of the Borley Rectory is perhaps the most famous ghost story of all. This book is a wonderful book. But how much of what described here is actually true? Harry Price was an unpopular man-even his supporters disliked him. After his death there was a re-appraisal of this case and it was largely discredited. As Price himself notes in his book, much of the evidence provided by the Foysters was dicey-Ms. Foyster could have faked it. The actual rectory itself burned to the ground,an event often described as "possibly supernatural." In fact, it was deliberately set afire by the last owner for the insurance money (his own sons admit it.) Since no trace of the building has been left, "parapsychologists" have decided that the whole area is haunted now. They claim that the village church is haunted. I believe in "ghosts" and haunted houses, but there is a great deal of evidence against this specific case which is being ignored because the story is so compelling and well told. This story isn't as one sided as you would imagine from the reviews of this book.

5 out of 5 stars Incredible Amazing Ghostly TourDeForce...!!.......2002-09-20

Still..How much is really true!? First of all, this must be the absolute #1 Ghost/Paranormal Investigation of all time! Written in very "good spirits", humor, and British wry wit, it's the rare book that you'll without question read to the end!! Featuring a ghostly headless horseman, nun, carriages, unexplained flying household objects, eerie noises, wine turning into ink, locking of doors, mysterious written messages, etc. this must be the original "ghostbusters" story, and the author is surely one heck of a writer and paranormal investigator...Oddly, just about all the characters involved seem a bit unruffled by these bizarre unexplained activities, but that could be the famed stiff upper lip amusement of the Brits...Really a super impressive book, but not completely convincing, though I admit I'm a skeptic in any case. Possible "human" explanations could be dreams, wish fulfillment, human error, weather changes, wind (noises) faulty/shaky building construction, certain participants "playing games" on the others, an ill woman often unaccountable during these curious goings on, superstitions, faulty sensory perception (like seeing pictures in clouds), even the financial motivation to write a book, though Mr. Price is surely a terrific, thorough writer!..This book may give you the creeps, but my simple advice is to buy it here (used), and you will be amazed. Let you the reader decide...This book has even made me rethink a few things, though I remain essentially a skeptic...

5 out of 5 stars Most terrifying book I have ever read..........1999-07-31

This book was responsible for keeping me up many a night. This story puts the "Blair Witch Project" to shame, in its accurate and frightening depiction of the events and history of the Borley Rectory. If you read one ghost story in your life, make this one it.

5 out of 5 stars My mother lived there........1997-10-29

The official watershed on Borley Rectory. My mother lived there as Marianne Foyster. Elaborates Foyster phenomena, including excerpts from Lionel's writings. It was during the Foyster incumbancy that Price alleged over 2,000 paranormal evnets took place. They stayed for five years: 1930-35. Concludes there were too many happenings for all of them to be attributed to natural causes. Cites hundreds of witnesses, many prior to the incumbancy of the Foyster's.

5 out of 5 stars A Great Journey to Haunted Castles.......2006-05-23

This was the fourth book by Michelle Whitedove that I have read. It is a complete departure from her first two books. I was amazed by the depth of educational material that she was able to give on GHOSTS and other paranormal phenomena that she experienced during her trip to Europe. As an author and Psychic-Medium, it is great to learn the true facts from someone who can SEE and COMMUNICATE with spirits. She gives explanations to all of the questions that I always wanted answered: Are ghosts real? What are orbs? How do ghosts travel? Why do they stay in these places? Are hauntings a method of communication? etc. Plus I really enjoyed the way the book was written from the actual journal pages of her UK ghost trip. You feel as if you are there driving with her and experiencing these haunted castles. This is a fascinating account of her trip. It is not an "over the top" piece if fiction. But it is very believable and full of valuable insights about ghosts and why these souls refuse to leave their Castle homes. I highly recommend it!

3 out of 5 stars Quick read with little impact.......2006-01-31

I was drawn to this book based on its title and concept; a psychic medium travels to various haunted locations and reports on her experiences. As I read the book, I was not lured-in by her investigations. She spends a lot of time discussing the history of each location, which is nice in terms of understanding the background, but the style of her investigations are based more on impressions than documented proof, such as capturing EVPs, or visual evidence through the use of video and photography.

There are two styles towards investigating a haunted location. One is scientific in its approach through the use of various devices that measure the surrounding atmosphere. Typical devices are an EMF meter to record electromagnetic fields and a thermocouple to record ambient temperature fluctuations. Disturbances in these areas commonly occur prior to paranormal activity. The use of this equipment can help in documenting activity using audio, photography, or video equipment. The other style of investigation uses a psychic, or "sensitive" individual who listens to impressions perceived either through the surrounding environment or communicated by the psychic's spiritual guide.

Ms. Whitedove's investigations are based solely on psychic impression. The way in which she documents each investigation is fairly consistent; she recounts the history of the location, visits the location, and walks us through her experience. It's a light and predictable read with little content that draws the reader into the experience. At no time did I feel frightened or even fascinated by her impressions. Ms. Whitedove simply tells us what occurs. To some this may be enough. If you're interested in what happens, then this may be the book for you. If you're looking to be drawn into her experiences and frightened at the same time, I wouldn't recommend this book. It's a short book and a quick read with little emotional impact.

Being a paranormal investigator, I do admit to being somewhat biased by her approach. I would have rather seen her select a blended scientific and psychic approach towards each investigation. Based on her impressions, she could lead her team to capture evidence, which she could then share with the reader. To me, that's the most fascinating approach!

3 out of 5 stars Its ok, for a start.......2005-12-24

I have been studying the world of the paranormal since I was roughly 9 years old growing up in my own "haunted house" I am now 36 years young, and have read allot on the subject and I cont. to collect books on the subjects...
I find this book a bit more wordy on her were she went, her reactions, and little history. Its meat is not were you would expect it to be, in the stories which are short. I was left wanting more... maybe knowing that she is a gifted person, she didnt go into everything she knew I felt she kinda shorted the readers... it was like this in both works. Now you must understand that i have read this subject for years... so it maybe a good read for the beg. but not an advanced reader.

3 out of 5 stars Good & Bad Ghosts in England & Scotland........2005-10-08

Ghosts are human souls which have not moved on but continue to stay in their favorite places as earthbound spirits. On the othre hand, sorcerers and witches are considered to be devil's instruments. Green-faced witches wiht warty noses riding on broomsticks are myth, as is the European werewold, and vampires (the undead). I read a scary book about vampires by George Martin many years ago.

Michelle Whitedove travels to the United Kingdom to the Castle Delhoune in Edinburgh, Scotland, and Lancaster Castle and Chillingham at Northumberland. She also locates a haunted pub (the favorite meetingplaces in that area of the world, and the English hotel where rock stars and Diana frequented. This is attributed to Longfellow (from America): "All houses in which men have lived and died ar haunted houses; through the open doors the harmless phantoms on their errands glide with feet that make no sound upon the floors."

GHOST STALKER was about America's most haunted sites. Both books are good reference material for a Halloween party this year. I plan to haunt the balcony area of the renovated Tennessee Theatre (a place which meant much to me in the Fifties). The Bijou already has its own ghost, that of Civil War Colonel Sanders who expired in that building.

5 out of 5 stars A Thoroughly Entertaining, Keep You Up At Night Read.......2005-08-08

I enjoyed the Ghost Stalker books both part I and part II. Yes, there are some grammatical errors in books but don't let that keep you from enjoying the stories. Michelle Whitedove does a good job explaining various types of hauntings and residual energy left behind during traumatic events. Her descriptions of the castles are great fun especially for someone who will never get to visit themselves. All in all, I enjoyed this book.

The stories did not quite ring true. It could have used a little more detail.

The book had okay stories, but it was embellished too much. Plus, the pictures were pretty cheap, they were all really dark and fake.

3 out of 5 stars hauntingly weird.......2006-03-19

Informative, I like his books. Most of the stories I have read in other books but some I have not. I like that he writes about the history behind the haunts, not just tell about the hauntings.

2 out of 5 stars Too much history.. not enough ghost info.. BAD editing.......2006-01-29

This has got to Be the most annoying book to read.. there is at least one error in spelling or the way a sentence is written on EACH page. Makes the flow of reading very difficult.

I am half way through this and am bored. WAY TOO MUCH historical facts and not even close to nearly enough about the actual haunting. Most stories go for 2-3 pages of history then ONE PARAGRAPH with maybe two sentences about the haunting.

NOT worth reading. I gave it a 2 simply for interesting pictures.

5 out of 5 stars Taylor is Great As Always.......2004-02-09

I never have read a book by Troy Taylor I didnt like. This is one of his best.

4 out of 5 stars Beyond the Grave: The History of....most Huanted Graveyards.......2003-11-30

I must disagree with one review regarding "Beyond the Grave." One reviewer found it highly irritating that the editors did not discover and/or correct some occurring typos in Troy Taylor's book. Petty, overlooked accidents do happen, such as they are. Enjoy Mr. Taylor's offerings. A true page turner!

3 out of 5 stars Great ghost stories, but poorly edited!.......2002-10-22

On the plus side, this book was unique, highly interesting, well researched, and very scary! The author has assembled a large collection of very frightening episodes of hauntings that take place in spooky old graveyards all across America. As an avid reader of true ghost stories, I was impressed with the fact that Mr. Taylor had included so many stories in this book that I had never heard of before and for me, that is always a plus.

On the negative side, this book would have received a much higher rating from me if it had not been so badly edited! Someone did an extremely poor job of proof reading and editing prior to allowing the book to be published, a fact that I personally find to be very irritating. (I found a large amount of typos and misprints, starting with the introduction and all the way through to the end of the book). Hopefully this will be remedied in future editions of what could have been an almost perfect read.
