Book Description
This latest offering in the best-selling Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul series explores a host of challenges faced by today's teens. Within its pages teens will find portraits of life's complexities expressed from the viewpoint of their peers. Teen contributors share their thoughts and feelings on difficult issues, ranging from poor self-image to thoughts of suicide, from family discord to coping with the loss, from peer pressure to school violence. Teens ranked stress as one of their top concerns (along with child abuse and STDs). Oftentimes, the pressure can feel overwhelming, whether they involve worrying about an upcoming test, competition sports, family responsibilities, dating, or more extreme issues such as depression, suicide and school violence. The first three volumes of the Teenage Soul series and the companion journal illustrate the ongoing popularity of this series (unit sales exceed 11 million). Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul on Tough Stuff and the Spring 2001 release Teenage Soul Letters will undoubtedly follow suit as the next best-sellers in a phenomenally popular series.

I really enjoyed reading this book being a teenager myself. It was very inspirational and touching. It is a good book for teenagers in any situation. I think it would be good for parents to read this book also because they could have a better understanding of what their teenager might be going through. This book talked about issues that are harder to talk about. It provides anonymous help lines for teenagers in need. The tops range from life to death. It is a very uplifting book for all.

All teens will love it but I have to warn you there are many sad parts and are very powerful so I think you should think about it first. This book, the latest in the hugely popular Chicken Soup for the Soul series, contains stories, poems, and cartoons relating to the specific troubles that traumatize teenagers everywhere. There are plenty of stories about dating ("HE KISSED MY TEETH!"), friendships (don't gossip), and school. But Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul doesn't shy away from the big issues either, with essays on suicide, dying young, and drunk driving. This book stems from the knowledge that teens know their own concerns bestthus, much of the book is written by teens themselves, which gives the book a very accessible, informal tone. Also, the authors had each piece evaluated by as many teenagers as possible. The care shows. Teenage Soul is always respectful, and doesn't minimize any of the dramas of adolescence. It does, however, mete out plenty of perspective. This wise, tender, funny book is filled with wisdom useful to teens (and everybody else, too).
Book Description
This first batch of Chicken Soup for Teens consists of 101 stories every teenager can relate to and learn from -- without feeling criticized or judged. This edition contains important lessons on the nature of friendship and love, the importance of belief in the future, and the value of respect for oneself and others, and much more.

A very helpful book.......2006-11-18
The purpose of this book is very helpful for teenagers. They tell stories that are very common in the teenager life and could help to solve a problem. They also tell stories that happened when they were children and affect them when they grew up. I enjoyed reading this book because it is very funy, lovely, sad, mysterious and very informative. I rate this book with five stars because it helped me and it can also help other teenagers.
The life of a teen, on paper..........2006-10-23
This wonderful heart felt book is an inspiration to those who are about to, those who are in, or those who have been through the rough "teen years". This book is full of amazing stories from teens, or adults (writing about their past) about the great times, and not so good times of their life. By reading this, you may relate to things people write, and be able to possibly learn from others' mistakes, before you make them. "Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul" has various stories on many different subjects, and will be hard to put down. It offers friendship, sorrow, comfort, humor, and help (etc.). This has truly been one of my favorite things to read, as well as the other "Chicken Soup" books.
This book was so moving........2006-06-12
I read it as a teenager- and it moved me.
I felt like there were so many others with similar experiences.
I felt more compassionate toward others.
And learned how many experiences that are not so good- can be looked at as a good learning experience.
I loved it so much I thought every teenager should own a copy.

Sometimes the best way to get through hard times is finding out you're not alone. The books in the Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul series have provided just that reassurance to millions of teens in the few years since the first was published. Much like the earlier volumes, the third in the series features stories, poems, and cartoons, most of which were written by teens themselves. Twenty teen reviewers read every submission, narrowing the selection down to 5,000 favorites. Editors Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen, and Kimberly Kirberger made the final cuts. The result? Packed with compassion, heartache, love, experience, and wisdom, Teen III (as the editors refer to it) is every bit as inspirational as the earlier editions.
Most of the stories are contributed by young, unpublished writers, and the quality of the writing is good, if a touch melodramatic at times. But then, adolescence is nothing if not melodramatic, and the audience undoubtedly will relate perfectly to the tales of betrayal, friendship, identity crisis, parental clashes, and painful crushes. The editors have organized this collection into nine categories: Relationships, Friendship, The Power of Love, Family, Lessons, Tough Stuff, Overcoming Obstacles, Self-Discovery, and Growing Up. A great source for laughs, advice, compassion, and the comfort of knowing that we're never as alone as we think. (Ages 13 and older) --Emilie Coulter
Book Description
The third volume in the Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul series promises more love, support and inspiration for the series' loyal teen readers. More and more, life is a struggle for teens. Not just dealing with the tragedies that seem to plague them so often, but also handling the daily pressures that pervade their lives. This book, like the first two volumes in the series, will help them, and will serve as their guide and constant companion. The original Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul, a New York Times bestseller, has sold over 4.5 million copies. Its successor, Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul II, a #1 New York Times bestseller, has already sold over 2.2 million copies. The third volume in this blockbuster series promises to be every bit as successful as the first two, as teen readers continue to cherish and be inspired by this series. Chapters focus on love, friendship, family, tough stuff, growing up, kindness, learning lessons and making a difference. In keeping with the themes and content of the Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul series, teens will also find support, encouragement and understanding from their peers, as well as from caring and compassionate adults. This book is a must-read for all teens-a book they will read and reread, sharing their favorite stories with one another over and over again. It is also the perfect gift for all adults to give to the teens in their lives.

Rhymes with witches.......2007-03-01
This book is really good. I like it because i can relate to it. I can relate because it is full of drama, and issues that i have dealt with. I also think that she is a really good author. I would recomend this book to a lot of people.
Crazy For Chicken Soup.......2006-10-25
From bike crashes, to growing up, to inspirational stories; this book has it all. Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul Three will bring a tear to your eye and put a smile on your face. It was organized by three adults. Kimberly Kirberger, Mark Hansen, and Jack Canfield. But the book itself was written purely by teens.
This edition of Chicken Soup is not the first. There are many others, including one for pet lovers! This book will really make you want to get up and do something. When reading these stories, I felt inspired to change something that I thought was wrong. I especially enjoyed that you don't have to read the book in order. You can pick the story that fits your mood, and from the first sentence you're captured. These stories are all non-fiction. Some are funny and some are sad, but each is special. If there's one you don't like, skip it!
One of the stories that I enjoyed was called "Some Things Are Never the Same." It's about two friends who are growing apart because of cliques. The popular friend falls into a trap. Her new "so called friends" make up rumors about her old friend. In the end, although the girl realizes her mistake, the friendship isn't the same. I can really relate to this because dealing with friendships can be hard.
The teens who submit to this book really have a story to tell. I think it's cool that they're true stories, because you can imagine being in their shoes. I really loved the book because it kept me reading for hours. The book also contains stories from famous actors, athletes, and singers. There is even a passage from The Diary of Anne Frank! Whenever I need a boost, I reach for the book and read the stories again.
Inspired.......2006-05-03
The book Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul Three really inspired me in many different ways. When I started reading this book I couldnt put it down for a second without wanting to pick it up again. This book has ben very helpful and useful to me. The book talks about real problems and stories that teens have sent to the publishers and published in their book. It's nice to have us young people writing stories and having them published for others to read them and be inspired. When ever you get the chance you should read this book so you can see what's so great and inspiring about his book.
greatest book ever!!.......2005-11-02
This book was totally awesome and I advise people to read it. It was one of the best books I have ever read and it gave me alot of advice through the very interesting stories they provided. This book was my favorite out of the "chicken noodle soup for the teenage soul" series. I really enjoyed reading it, for me it was one of those books that are so good you can't put it down. I really recommend this book if you like real life situations where you can really seem to realate to at least some of the stories. It feels like you have been in these sort of situations before and the stories kind of put you in the other person's shoes. This book made me feel sorry or happy for the main people in these stories and they made me think about my life and if I am hurting people or I made them feel the way some of the characters do. Long story short I really loved this book it had romance, tragedy, horror, suspense, and well... you get the idea, but it made me love it and I am sure if you read it you will feel the same as I did about this book.
worth it for finger paints and crayons.......2005-08-16
This book overall was not as good as the first two but it's worth it for the piece called "Finger Paints and Crayons" a beautifull written poem about how sad it is to live in a world with racism. That one touched me the most, I haven't read the book in years but that poem is one of the things I remember about it.

Chicken Soup For the Teen Age Soul.......2007-01-20
I bought it for our Granddaughter's 13th Birthday.
Grandpa was so intrigued with it I had to pry it from him to wrap it!
Inspiring and helpful for teens to grandparents!
Great with Devotions.......2006-08-17
I read a story a night from this book after we read devotions at the dinner table. We all love the stories. Some of the stories our sad and make you think. Some are funny like the Lesson in Lavendar story which is one of our favorites on Compassion and Forgiveness. This story just happened to fit right with our Devotion readings from Sticky Situations 2 another great book. The book is geared for teens but we all can relate to the stories and enjoy them.
Chicken Soup!.......2006-05-21
I absolutely love all chicken soup books and this one was equally amazing. I thought that Chicken Soup for the Christian Teenage Soup was very well written. The stories were very realistic and I think that anyone could relate to them. It covered everyday issues like school, family, friends, and just faith in general. In short this book is very heartwarming and can be read by most everyone.
"Chicken Soup" Books Make Great Gifts.......2006-02-24
I have to start by saying that I love the "Chicken Soup" books.
There are soooo many out there for so many different types of people. I bought this book as a gift for a family member. I couldn't help but read some of the stories before wrapping it. I may not be a teenager anymore, but reading the stories helped me remember to when I was. I think this book is not only great for teenagers, but perhaps the parents of teenagers as well.
Another great helping of Chicken Soup.......2006-01-30
I have yet to read a bad Chicken Soup book, and this one is no exception. The nice mix of stories make for an entertaining and interesting read, and there are life lessons to be gained from reading every single story.
This book is not just for teens. Anyone who loves Chicken Soup type stories will enjoy this book. It tugs at the heart strings and is a book you'll want to re-read again and again.
Book Description
Friends. You gotta have 'em, but sometimes they drive you crazy. You love 'em, but sometimes they make you mad. They'll help you through a crisis...unless they are the crisis. So What's The Deal? Friends are more than just the people you hang out with. They make you laugh, they keep your secrets, they offer advice (some good, some bad), they give you a shoulder to cry on. Sometimes they move away, or betray your trust, or flake out, but mostly they are the people who are always there for you. And they know you'll be there when they need you most. Because that's what it means to be a friend. Sometimes friendship is overwhelming, sometimes it's confusing, sometimes you feel like you don't have a friend in the world, buy don't worry, it's like that for everyone. That's what the stories in this book are all about. They're from real teens, and they're about the bizarre, difficult and wonderful things that really happened to them and their friends. Put that together with weird facts, cool graphics, fun advice and quizzes designed to help you figure what you and your friends are all about, and you've got the real deal on friendship

I buy these for my teenange daughter, these are the only books I can get her to sit down & read & discuss.
Chicken Soup For The Teenage Soul on Love and Friendship.......2007-03-15
This Book Chicken Soup was about teens finding their way around life. Teens finding love and breaking up and getting back together. Finding their out who their true friends are. Finding out the true the meaning of love. Finding out who they can lean on when they are down. This book had different stories about love and friendship. This book took places everywhere even though it had amny different stories in it. It took places on a soccer field, at school, at home. It took places in so many places that it really doesn't have a setting. The plot was different things. Like you realize that you was in love with your bestfriend's boyfiend and you didn't want her to know that cause you didn't want ya'll friendship to end all because of a boy she went with and because you was in love with him. The conflict was that a lot people got hurt in this book because of the word love. Some people got cheated on and heartbroken and dumped because of this word love. If you don't mean it then don't say it cause alot of people can get hurt because of that word. Some people founded out who their real friends were. Some people left their friends over a guy/girl and left them hanging. Then they started to realize who their real friends were. The resolution was that the people who did wrong they realized what they did was wrong and asked the friends that they once had to forgive them some of them forgave them and some of them said no cause you might hurt me again. By Porsha S. Hamilton
Chicken Soup For The Teenage Soul On Love and Friendship.......2007-03-09
In this book I read it was about love and friendship and growing up and going through tough times with your family or friends and boyfriends. There really wasn't much of a setting. It took place everywhere outside on the beach. Outside at the school soccer field. The polt was a little bit of everything kids growing up, and beening in love. Kids having hard times with their friends, and family members. Coming to someone when they needed it help doing something. Or if they needed help period. There wasn't really much of events that happened well yes it was. Teenages being in love, breaking up with that special person that they loved. Going through things you really wouldn't imaging if you experinced it yourself. The resolution was that is life being a teenager you live life and you deal with it cause that is the way life goes. Life goes on and on so you deal with it the best way you possible can.
Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul on Love and Friendship.......2007-02-05
This was a great book! I really enjoyed it a lot! It had lot's of diffrent topics some about break ups, romance, friendship, gaining, and losing friendship! i enjoyed them all. But it did just talk a little too much about friendship, i think next time they should include a little more on other subjects. Although i enjoyed this book very much! and hope to read more of these!
Amanda's Review of Chicken Soup for the Teen's Soul on Love & Friendship.......2006-05-22
I like the Chicken Soup for the Soul books, and I liked this one in particular because it was written for teens. It was, I believe, the first one I read for teens, and I enjoyed reading very much what other teens had to say. On the other hand, though, many of the stories are similar, so after I had read a few, they got a little bit reptitious. Overall, though, it was a good book.

Book Description
The Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul books have sold more than 15 million copies, and they continue to be the strongest selling Chicken Soup backlist. Now, with the help of Scholastic book clubs, we've developed a new series that keeps the best of the old (the stories teens love) with the best of the new. The Real Deal books will feature approximately 50 Chicken Soup stories, combined with text and sidebar material that talks about issues relevant to teen lives. This isn't a lessons book or straight-talk from adults, but teen-friendly conversation about important topics like gossip, bad haircuts, getting cut from the team, and the pain of breaking up (even if you've only been together two weeks). The first book in the new series tackles all the tough questions and fun times associated with that cornerstone of teen life: school. From taking tests to dealing with cliques, from teachers to crushes and all the other relationships teens have to deal with on a daily basis, teens will see themselves (and their friends and enemies) in this honest and fun book. And keep your shelf open for the next book in the series, The Real Deal: Friends, publishing for Christmas 2005. Key Features With 15 million copies sold, there is nothing like the Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul brand. This new branded series updates the topics and design without losing the core appeal for the market. This is not a dry or didactic book. The focus is on the relationships and tensions that school creates in the lives of tweens and teens, not in the classroom. The material between stories, written by a professional tween/teen writer, will reinforce the teen-to-teen nature of the stories, without the adult perspective that ruins so many YA nonfiction titles.

A Teen's Best Resource.......2006-07-31
Reviewed by Cathy Yanda for Reader Views (07/06)
This book will remind everyone who reads it that we all have challenges in our lives and even when they seem like more than we can handle, we can face them and overcome them. True to the Chicken Soup series, this book full of beautifully written, true-life stories and poems. "Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul's The Read Deal: Challenge" lets you read what other teenagers have to say about disses, losses, messes, stresses and more. This book should be on every teen's bookshelf - just in case they want to read it. If there had been a resource like this when I was a teenager, I'd have been more prepared for many things - from peer pressure to have sex and use drugs to my parents' divorce. This is not an advice book. It is a book written by teens for teens in their own words, and they touched me deeply. One of my favorites, titled `Silent Scream', written by Ashley, a 16 year old, about being an emotional basket case. This poem could have been written about me when I was her age. I cried when I read `Chain Reaction' written by 19-year-old Megan about the mugging and death of her best friend.
Challenges are a part of each of our lives. It is difficult enough to be a teenager with raging hormones without having to also forgive your best friend for being with the guy who broke your heart or having your dad die or being the shortest kid in class or failing a class. Each chapter includes stories, poems, self-quizzes, and tidbits about movies to see and books to read. Topics include everything from anorexia, cutting yourself, abuse, peer pressure, being stabbed in the back by a friend and much more. This book is not one to be read straight through but to savor the writing on each page, to be referred to when the need arises. It is a valuable resource for parents to help you understand what your teenagers and tweens might be going through. It is well-written, composed of just enough information to be valuable and yet not be overwhelming, and on a level that will easily speak to the teenager in your life.
Chicken Soup For the Teenage Soul: The Real Deal School.......2006-05-22
After reading this book, I found all of the stories included in this compilation very touching. I liked how each short story aimed to teach a little life lesson. The inspiration that these stories carried along with them made me realize how much this book was worth reading. I also enjoyed reading the quizzes and tidbits of information on various topics. The only complaint I would have against this book would be the authors' anecdotes from their own lives. They attempted to relate to teens, but fell short when it came to accuracy. It has been a while since they have been teenagers, and many things have changed in high school. Not only that, but their stories proved to be a bit dull. Other than that, I really did enjoy reading this book, and I look forward to reading other books in this series.
Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul: The Real Deal School.......2006-05-18
Are you a teen looking for some answers? Well if you are then I have the perfect book for you.
When I read the book Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul: The Real Deal it changed my way of thinking.
I started understanding life more and why it is so hard. And now I better understand when people say it's a rough world out there. I am only twelve and I have a lot more to learn about the world and this book has help me understand a little more about it.
This book has a lot you can learn from for example this book has poems, sort stories, and even some facts. This book is written by different teenagers that wished to share some stories.
The book has stories of friendships, body changes, and even dating. So I reccommend this non-fiction book to everyone who's ready to grow up... P.S This Is Your Home Girl Joslyn Diaz Saying PEACE OUT!!!

A MUST READ FOR TEENS.......2005-10-25
I think that this book is better then some of the other Chicken Soup books because it specializes on one topic instead of being so broad like the other books. Also, I could definitely relate to this book more then other teenage Chicken Soup books, making this book more enjoyable for me. Being a younger teen, school was one of the few topics I could relate to in the other Chicken Soup books, so to produce a book like this, it was really helpful.
This book still contains stories from teens, but the author contributes more to book. It has many more side bars, and is much more colorful (although it still doesn't have any pictures). This book contains easy to read information about peer pressure, best friends and fighting with them, making new friends, moving away, cliques and much, much more. I would really recommend this book to anyone over the age of eleven years old. You don't necessarily have to be struggling in school to read Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul Real Deal: School, it's a good read for anyone who likes reading this kind of material.
AWESOME!!.......2005-10-22
If you are like me, and are really careful with your money and aren't sure if u want this book because your worried your going to waste your money. TRUST ME, you will not waste it!! This is a MUST READ!!
As I was reading this book, the whole time I was going "EXACTLY!! FINALLY SOMEONE UNDERSTANDS WHAT WE HAVE TO GO THROUGH EVERYDAY!!!" because seriously, teen life has MAJORLY changed from when the adults were teens. Its nothing like it use to be. And this is coming from a teen who has been through it all, stress, evil teachers, annoying parents, depression, bullying, a crap load of homework, evil coaches, peer pressure AND MORE!! I think teachers, parents, concelors, coaches, etc...should all read this so they know exactly what us teen have to go through everyday of our life!! Let's face it, TEEN YEARS SUCK!!!!

Why I love Chicken Soup!.......2007-05-15
Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul Volume 2 is an inspirational and enlightening book. Being a teenager myself I can relate to a lot of the stories told in this bestseller. The first time I read this book I was younger and didn't understand what the authors in the book were saying, but when I revisited it this year I actually understood it and connected more to the stories. This book has inspired me to write about my personal experiences and really look back at the good, bad, or in between as a way to learn from my mistakes. Instead of breaking down I decided to write. This book has taught me and helped me through some rough times. This book is great and I recommend it to anyone. Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul is not just for teenagers, I have even read some stories with my friends and family. This book has been a real joy and inspiration on all aspects of my life. Thanks Chicken Soul and I hope all readers out there will get a chance to read this delightful, motivating, and wonderful book.
An inspirational book.......2006-08-14
Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul ll is a great book written by teenagers and some adults about life. It teaches us about life and how to deal with it. It shows us that no matter where you came form, what you look like, or how you act, almost all teenagers are the same. This book is an inspiration to everyone.
This book influences me because it inspires me to become a better person. Before I read this book I thought, "Oh this book is just some boo full of made-up stories", but as I continued to read into it more, I thought" Wow this is a really great book". This book tells you that all teens go through the same stuff. It shows you that your not alone, and with faith and courage you can overcome most obstacles. This book is filled amazing stories of love depression, and hope. I encourage everyone to read this book.
Chicken Soup For the Teenage Soul.......2006-05-22

Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul 2 is great.......2006-05-22
Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul 2 is a great book for teens because it is something we can relate to. It is filled with short anecdotes written by teenagers or once-teenagers about their adolescent experiences. It is inspirational and teaches us about who we are, about people, and about life in general. I recommend this book for all teenagers.
Chicken Soup.......2006-05-21
I think that this book was a very good and fun book to read. Anyone who enjoys hearing about different teens telling their own stories would greatly enjoy this book. While I was reading it, there were times when i felt like laughing and other times when I felt like crying too. The things that teenagers go through are so hard and alot of adults do not understand this, that is why this book is so helpful. It is a very good book to read and I would recommend it to anyone, espically teens.

Nothing.......2004-02-20
This book did absolutly nothing for me. Just a boring thing to write in, which I haven't.
This Chicken Soup Warmed my Soul.......2003-03-19
Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul: Journal, was one of the most moving books I have read. It is directed towards adolescents, and deals with issues every adolescent girl faces. It's a blend of stories, quotes, poems, and spaces to write your thoughts. This book has many different sections such as: family, learning lessons, love and kindness, and tough stuff. My favorite section, however, is "loving yourself". This book gave me a chance to deal with issues and see that I am not the only girl whom faces such issues. Chicken Soup is a book that I am able to pick up and at any time if I need some inspiration, help, or reassurance. Other issues helpful to me were on drinking, self-esteem, eating disorders, and how to deal with my past. Another good part about this book is that a lot of it is compiled with texts written by teenage authors. There are spaces for friends to write about you, and spaces for you to express how you feel on certain issues. Chicken Soup allowed me to realize I was not the only girl who had experienced some of the feelings I did. After reading this book I knew I wasn't alone! I do highly recommend this book to any teenage girl. Adolescence is a hard time to get through, and many girls need inspiration. You do not have to read the book cover to cover; you can pick it up any time and read whatever section you desire.

Good idea.......2002-12-27
It is great to have a place to write down all that you are feeling, and it gives you little clues so that you can write down things that you are not even necessarily thinking of at that moment in time.
Great Gift for a teenager you love.......2002-02-21
This book has just about every question you can image asking yourself. I am 20 now and I got this book maybe 4 years ago. I filled up every line and space. It would make a great gift for a teenager, but would probably be more appreciated by the teenage girl in your life. Very helpful for bad days...good days...dream jotting. Well worth the money!

Being a Teen-ager.......2007-02-21
I liked the book cause it gives you good advice, and it gives you tips, tells how to get your-self out a bad situation to a good situation. It also tells you the importance of being in love. Also explains groups, cliques, classes, clubs and more. It let you yest your-self as if you were doing good or bad. I also liked the book because it gives you poems that will make your day feel better. Tells you about the Social Scene, Everyday Life, Outsiders, Grown up Factor, Tough Stuff, Life Outside the Classroom, Love, Getting Real, being a Teen-ager, and last but not least... The Real Deal!!!
Amazing stories.......2006-09-05
Well, I don't know what the other reviewer was reading, but this was the best collection of stories in a Chicken Soup book yet. All of these stories are written by teens, and they talk about some of the grittiest stuff I've ever read. I mean, imagine being kidnapped by your own mother, or helping your friend through a suicidal breakdown. It doesn't get any more real than that. It's just great to know that there are other teens experiencing the same kinds of craziness I see every day. I take this book with me everywhere. I like the quizzes and other stuff too when I need a break from reading.
Bad Soup.......2006-08-20
Like I've said I really like Chicken Soup Books.I love the storys. So when this book came out I could'nt wait to read it.
Yet this book was a real dissapiontment.Their were'nt enough stories. There was to much commentary by the author, little tidbits and addons. The only story I can say I liked was Chain Reaction. It's a story about not judging people to quickly.Other than that nothing esle.

I often wonder if other people have the same response to something that I read. This book lets me know that people do.
My Review.......2002-05-17
Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul: Letters is a collective book of responses to the first three novels of Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul. Each story is just as heart warming as the stories in the original book, but this time the stories are ones that occurred due to the previous books in the series. Each story delivers a heart felt lesson of an "oh well, I guess that my life isn't that bad after all, " or a "maybe I should change my life too". Many of the writers were going through times when they thought suicide was the best option or that there was no option at all, each writer then expressed their own reaction to the book and how their life was changed and put back on the right track. Within the contents of the book, I found some truly amazing and uplifting stories; one was about a girl suffering from the loss of her only sister and how each section of the book brought her to overcome her devastating reality. Another was about a girl who got copies of the book for the grieving students at Columbine. Each story was compelling, up lifting, and really let me see what living is all about.
On a scale from 1-10 I would give this book a 9, because of its mysterious ways to make me feel better about my self or just put me in a better mood. One of the most important reasons to pick up this book is because it lets me know that no matter what I do I am not alone and that where ever I go, I can make a difference if I am compelled to help.
