Book Description
Recorded history is a finely-woven magic fabric of intricate lies about events predating the sixteenth century. There is not a single piece of evidence that can be reliably and independently traced back earlier than the eleventh century. This book details events that are substantiated by hard facts and logic, and validated by new astronomical research and statistical analysis of ancient sources.

Calculations are only as good as your numbers.......2007-08-03
Yes, we can all agree that mainstream history is nearly 100% BS due to politics, economics, ego, problems with dating techniques, and various conspiracies. Agreed. But, I've been researching the distinct possibility that human history (in terms of civilizations) are much more ancient than we've been told, so coming across this book was very interesting to me. I wondered how Fomenko could be wrong (if at all) because he is very persuasive in his presentations. Then it dawned on me. If at previous times in prehistory, due to the various catastrophies that are well documented (comets, asteroids, planetary disruptions, plasma discharge, pole reversals, etc) the Earth was in a different position in relation to the sun, different tilt on its axis, different orbit, different rotation (in terms of velocity and DIRECTION), and the continents were in different positions, then would this not cause the ancients to see the sky (constellations) differently? In other words, is Fomenko making erronious assumptions about the physics of the Earth in pre-history, which then corrupt his data with regards to dating the relevant astrology? The last event to seriously disrupt our planet occured roughly 3500 years ago, according to other good researchers, so is it possible Fomenko has been confused by this? The vastly different physics of our planet in the not so distant past may explain this confusion, which is not to say the "mainstream" version of history is correct; on the contrary. I am not an expert in these fields, but wanted to see if this idea could spark discussion.
Pants on fire?.......2007-07-19
Will people ever read before spamming? Yes, Jesuits could not rewrite world history alone, they had help. Anyway, Dr Prof Acad A.Fomenko does not point to jesuits as the driving force of world wide history manipulation in published volumes 1,2,3;, actually he barely mentions the poor devils. Check it with 'Search inside' feature, please. China is rarely mentioned either, in fact, Dr Fomenko is completely eurocentric. Right, his theory contradicts all mainstream schools of history, because in their actual state they are all built on blatantly erroneus chronology. You don't need a mysterious cabal (conspiracy) to falsify history, the falsification is its modus operandi. It is inherent to history(ians) to falsify (distort) events, as it is inherent to humans to boast as it is inherent to power (authority) to legimize itself by referrring to glorious past made to its own order. Dr Prof Fomenko and team have identified scores of instances of such manipulation in Russian, European, etc.. history, and delivered valid statistical proof thereof. His own 'reconstruction' is completely another story. Forget c14 as a valid method of dating. W.Libby has initially discovered a brilliant method of INDEPENDENT dating. Too bad, c14 method has become a joke after a forced marrige with dendrochronology with consensual chronological scale inbuilt. Radiocarbon method can't stand blind tests, but is so very productive as a rubberstamp.
Accepted History & Chronology Must Be Changed. .......2007-04-09
There is no doubt that history as most know it is a sham, & institution's version of History both University & Church is fradulent & inaccurate. Everything was established with an agenda, The real "Dark Ages" are now when we have access to incredible amounts of information past authorities & more important 'common folk' didn't have but our institutions & educators are slow to evolve because of what has ignorantly & arrogantly been taught for too long. This is on many subjects not just Chronology.
For anyone to question "Why would a Mathematician have anything credible to say of History?" The answer is from Dr. Fomenko's preface in the book: "It would be worthwhile to remind the reader that in the XVI-XVII century Chronology was considered to be a subdivision of Mathematics." These volumes could possibly be some of the most important works to date & should be read by everyone with an interest in History, especially professors & educators who have a duty to the public. I have read both books & must say that 'Chronology 1' has some very eye opening & revolutionary information. Even if these volumes are part true the implications are profound & opens the doors to further investigations & questions which must be done. I speak several different lanquages & must say the logic Dr. Fomenko uses with "inflection" of words & words being read from left to right in one region & right to left in another then written backwards, the removal of vowels & get down to basics of words, or different cities & locations having the same name etc. is correct. Vowel usage has always been optional & varied, actually complicating linquistics & study. The first thing one has to understand is that words never had a fixed spelling in history like we do now, the spelling of words was mutable & regional, as well as names & titles of people were vast, varied & changed, NOTHING WAS FIXED or understood linear. Matters of Life & Death as well as financial profiteering yesterday & today were & are made with ignorant, illogical & conspiratorial views of history & reality, it's time people get closer to the Truth & society collectively grow up.
Very Interesting.......2007-03-07
It is a good proposal and I believe it will mature into something even better in the future. I think it deserves to be read.
History as Science Fiction.......2007-01-10
Anatoly Fomenko has written a very intriguing book, full of pictures, charts, and computer 'proof' of his thesis: backwards of AD900 we don't really know what happened or when. Between AD900 and AD1600 there is more certainty, but there is still a lot of fuzzy ground, and things don't get reliable until we get past the 1600's where the printing press made it very difficult for the perpetrators of this timeline manipulation to change anything that had been committed to print. The Dark Ages did not happen. Books were burned for a reason. One organization has doubled the actual length of its existence by expanding the real chronology. Read why.
I had always wondered why Christ died about AD33 and yet men waited until the 11th century to form the Knights Templar, the Cathars, etc and go after the Holy Land by force. Why the 1000 year gap? Turns out there wasn't more than a 10-12 year gap and he proves it using astronomy. This also implies that the planet is not as old as we have been told, and current Christian and other creationist scientists are already championing that idea without being aware of Fomenko's book. The two groups, creationist scientists and the Russian mathematical analysts corroborate each other. Fascinating.
Of course, all this flies in the face of what we have been told traditionally is the 'proper' chronology of western civilization, and most readers will experience 'cognitive dissonance' in reading this book. It means that our history going backwards from AD1600 becomes progressively more incorrect and unreliable until it cannot be trusted at all... in the space of 700-800 years.
Naturally, the curious, open-minded reader will want to know WHO did this, WHY, and did any of the events we think of as really ancient ever happen?
Dr. Fomenko is a respected scientist/mathematician at Moscow State University who has already answered these questions to the satisfaction of his initially skeptical colleagues. Most of them are now believers, a few still refuse to believe (the usual diehards), and of course the western press has ignored Fomenko's work -- for obvious reasons when you read the book. The ones who perpetrated this chronology ruse have a lot to answer for. They are still with us. That's why this book is a well-kept secret.
I gave the book a 4-star rating because I was unable to check out some of his claims; those I checked were as he said. But if even 1/3 of his claims are true, this punches a big hole in what we think is our history, the meaning of western civilization, our educational process (for repeating the ruse as gospel), and the trustworthiness of the organization that perpetrated this ruse, well-intentioned or not.
This book relates to current research into a Young Earth paradigm, to John Keel's discoveries about our planet, and Fr Malachi Martin's insights (in his now out-of-print books). We are indeed sheep who are manipulated and kept ignorant -- for a reason. While knowing what these men have to say may be the "booby prize" (as in: 'what can you do with this knowledge?'), it will provide interesting reading. Didn't someone say: "...and the Truth will set you free."?? For you to judge if this book contains the truth.

Customer Reviews:
If you go, buy this book first........2007-07-06
In one word - excellent! If you are going to Yellowstone this is the only book you will need. Heads above Fordor's or Frommer's travel books on Yellowstone. On our trip to Yellowstone in mid-June 2007 we also took along the Frommers guide to Yellowstone loaned to us by a friend. We never needed it because Yellowstone Treasures has it all and in an easy to follow comprehensive do everything and see everthing guide.
I bought this book from Amazon because of the positive reviews. I scanned the book before we left and as we approached the east entrance my wife started reading to me what we will see and learn as we drove. The author left nothing out and we could find no miscues. It was our "bible" that we never left our room without.
Many of the other reviews on Amazon give you details into how the book is setup and the general contents so I won't go into that. I just can't give this book enough kudo's. Five star rating for sure!
Outstanding in depth reference.......2007-05-15
We used this book in combination with a quick road guide (the National Geographic Road Guide) for a full-featured tour of Yellowstone National Park. This book is FULL of easy-to-read and detailed tidbits about every feature of the Park you'd want to know about. It includes things about geothermal features, wildlife, history, fires, hiking trails, and so much more!
It was fun to come across something in the Park, flip open this book, and be able to read more about what we were seeing. Very interesting and educational! We bought other guides, but THIS IS THE ONE WE USED.
Useful Companion.......2007-01-04
I found this to be a very useful reading companion on our 10 day trip to Yellowstone. I have some health issues that prevented me from always going on the walks around features. I stayed in the car and read from this book and relayed the info by walkie talkie.
I did find the organization of the book a bit unwieldy but the info in it was interesting.
The only guide you need.......2006-09-27
We recently returned from our first trip to YNP and this book not only helped in the planning process but was also a wonderful companion during our time in the park.
The road logs and maps are terrific. You don't just get a map of the whole park, you get maps of every leg of the roads that take you through the park as well as maps of the major stops like the Old Faithful area, all the geyser basins, Mammoth Hot Springs, etc. detailing each spring, pool, and geyser you will see on your walks. The road logs take you point by point through the park pointing out various sights of interest so you don't miss a thing.
The author also includes bits of history and science so you can learn more about the park and the features as you go. She highlights some of the not to be missed features and has a couple pages listing the shorter hikes/walks in the park which is helpful if your time in the park is limited.
Yellowstone is a very large park with more things to see than you could possibly fit into one visit, no matter how long it is. It's important to plan your trip before you go, have an idea of what you are interested in seeing so you can focus your time appropriately. Whether you are interested in seeing the geysers and thermal features, wildlife, short hikes or long hikes, this book will help you plan the trip of a lifetime.
Best guide book ever written.......2006-07-17
Of all the travel books I've ever used for sightseeing, this is by far the best of them all. All other travel books, especially the consistently mediocre Frommers and Fodors could learn a lot by Chapple's layout and content. We had several books with us for Yellowstone, but this was the only one we needed - every leg of Yellowstone is clearly laid out with mile markers regardless of which direction you are traveling, which is only one of the things that separates this book from the competition. It also covers surrounding areas (entrance cities) of the park, as well as maps, the animals, geography, geology and history, all in a compact fashion. It is extremely thorough and well written. Buy this book for your Yellowstone trip - you won't regret it.
Book Description
Stephen O'Meara's new and exciting observing guide spotlights an original selection of 109 deep-sky objects that will appeal to sky-watchers worldwide. His 'hidden treasures' include a wonderful assortment of galaxies, open clusters, planetary nebulae and more, all of which have been carefully chosen based on their popularity and ease of observing. None of these objects are included in either the Messier or the Caldwell catalogs, and all are visible in a 4-inch telescope under dark skies. Stunning photographs and beautiful drawings accompany detailed visual descriptions of the objects, which include their rich histories and astrophysical significance. The author's original finder charts are designed to help observers get to their targets fast and efficiently.
Customer Reviews:
Great Book!.......2007-09-03
O'Meara has put together another great book. Here he takes us off the beaten path somewhat in search of deep sky treasure that many observers may neglect. In addition to the NGC and IC catalogues, he also ventures into lesser known catalogues such as Melotte, Trumpler, and Collinder as well as one of his own objects. As with previous volumes in the Deep Sky Companions series, each object is given a photo, drawing, and a finder chart as well as complete historical information. In addition to observations made with his trusty Tele Vue Genesis 4" refractor, observations from other observers using larger scopes are also included. All done in a writing style that is one of the most enjoyable today. Highly recommended for the deep sky observer!
After Messier, this is the one catalog you need!.......2007-08-07
Amateur astronomers surely agree that Messier and Caldwell catalogs missed many wonderful objects in the sky (north and south). Why not just ask a REAL deepsky observer to build a list of the missing gems? Well, that is exactly what this book offers. The 109 objects listed were observed by the author in a moderately small refractor telescope under dark skies. I have only observed a sample of objects in the entire list but do believe that the remainder are worth a try. Every object is introduced with such passion and in such an enthusiastic way that you really feel like going outside and give it a try.
5 stars!
Deep Sky treasures.......2007-07-23
An excellent volume/ If there is any problwem, it is that it is too extensive. It thus serves ,more as a reference than an "easy reading'.

Terrific.......2006-11-18
101 New! Puzzles, Clues, Maps, Tantalizing Tales, and Stories of Real Treasure is A Treasure's Trove Puzzle Book Companion 2. Each colorfully illustrated page is filled with fun puzzles and brain teasers and mind twisters of many different kinds, challenging adults and kids in many fascinating ways. This would be a terrific book for a family road trip or for holiday entertainment for groups or individuals and family vacations. You can solve these alone or in groups, silently or aloud... for many entertaining hours. There are puzzles concerning geography and math. There are intriguing tales of real buried treasures. This little book, officially recommended for ages 9 - 12, is really perfect for gift giving!
Customer Reviews:
A Necessary Aid.......2007-05-27
It has been said that the Companion Book is not needed to solve the puzzle. However, I will pay anyone a million dollars if they can solve this puzzle without the Companion.
The material in the Companion is "released" material used in the Maranatha Team's research that resulted in their find. Understanding key words and phrases, and their meanings, is essential in solving this puzzle and the Companion aids in that direction.
In and of itself, this book will not give you the answers to the puzzle, it is merely a strong aid to that end. Highly Recommended.

a good system for magic item creation.......2000-12-29
This is a rolemaster system role-playing game supplement focusing on treasure and magic item creation. It includes magic item creating spell lists for mages, priests and mentalists (psionicists). It contains a great section on the effects of magic on economies and how this impacts a roleplaying setting realisitically.
All the magic items in the book can be created using the spells in the book and it includes a system for rating the power of the items in levels.
It also includes non magical treasures such as gems (with tons of charts and descriptions) and supernatural materials from the well known mithril and adamant to the not so well known laen, eyog and black alloy.
Unfortunately the proofreading was very poor on this book.
Similar to a GURPS supplement, this is well thought out, useful for behind the scenes use in running a role playing game providing ideas on how to make the background rolepalying world make sense and have some flavor. It is easily adaptable to most game systems including D&D, GURPS and of course Rolemaster or MERP.

No star.......2005-06-23
I have an extensive library of Cayce material, and have been a disciple of Edgar Cayce for more than thirty years, but this is the only Cayce book which I regret buying. I find nothing redeemable in this book, and instead of inspiring me, I become so irritated by the entire tone of the book that I end up hurling it across the room. I bought the book hoping for explanations of some of the riddles in the Bible, but instead it is nothing more than the same riddles repeated in different words, and in some cases where a specific question is asked, the explanation doesn't fit the question, and amounts to nothing more than preaching the exact same text in different words. I also find the occasional offhand remarks by the author to be really out of place in a work of this sort - he gives the occasional interpretation of Edgar Cayce's interpretation of a Biblical text - I mean really! - if Cayce's interpretation is too vague to understand, then the book is a waste of time, on the other hand, if Cayce's interpretation makes sense, why does the author need to explain it - and who has qualified him to understand Cayce's interpretations better than any other reader? The author also inserts his own opinions about certain questions, which is simply using Edgar Cayce's name as a vehicle for propogating interpretations which were not Cayce's
"MIND IS THE BUILDER. KNOWLEDGE NOT LIVED BECOMES SIN." EC.......1999-12-20
I have read many self-help books...but never have I read a complete composition of strength, attitude, self-ability and growth all wrapped in one beautiful package. Edgar Cayce has an ability to see with his heart AND mind at the same time. A gift most of us dont have. I pray to God that I can have that gift some day. Until then....keep reading Edgar Cayce. Your life will become richer~~~believe it or not!
If ever there was a time to know God, it is now........1999-03-22
The Edgar Cayce Bible Companion is an extensive collection of thoughts and commentaries given by America's Sleeping Prophet. Being that I am an avid reader of his material, this book is an excellent addition to my collection. It is difficult to grasp the true essence of God since we are all individuals with intrinsically varying backgrounds. Still, this primer of Cayce's readings that have become an attempt to enlighten and guide our hearts and minds toward an understanding of God and a divine plan for humanity comes highly recomended for those seeking possibilities and revelation to the age old question: Why are we here? With subject matter ranging from The Christ, Karma, the Nature of God, Soul Growth, Faith, Prayer & Meditation, this book not only gives vison and hope, but direction and assuredness in mankinds divine place under one God. It is true that not all things are for all concerned. Yet, as in any search for self awareness, the doors to be opened come as they are as we approach them. Edgar Cayce's ability, and gift, should not be denied a chance to give deffinition to that cause. I highly recommend this book, as I would any that relate to the work and study of Cayce.
