Best Book on Beliefs and Practices of Today's Witches & Shaman.......2007-09-11
Season's of the Witch! This book was very helpful in introducing what real neo-pagan witches do throughout the season's of the year. This is not fluffy reading about witchcraft. This is one of the first books i read about concerning the Gardinian witchcraft adherents.Little ,if anything, has changed with this book over the years. It's just the best classic on being a witch or shaman ,for all who follow the laws of the Witches Rede and worship the Wheel of Nature.Anyone who cannot relate to Mother-Nature,is simply living in denial of one's true being and mortality.Christians are so programmed to believe that one has full control and domination over Nature and her creatures. We,as humans, have some influence over Nature and our environment.Yet,Nature does not always quietly follow our desires and may even act harshly to our chalk-board plans. As we see with earthquakes,floods,forest-fires,hurricanes,blizzards and droughts. When people accept and respect the forces of Nature, then they can find peace of mind and happiness. The only thing that i didn't like about this book was the title. The word 'Bible' implies grand fable-stories of yesteryear.I would have entitled it,'The Witches'Credo',i.e. the set of beliefs relating to the enclosing coven of witches and shaman only.No modern pagan should be without this excellent book.
A Witches' Bible.......2007-09-10
This book is alittle on the dry side for my taste, but it's still none the less good reads, and helpful just the same. I enjoy this book overall I rate this book 4 stars. Happy Reading!
If you want to become a solitary witch,.......2007-08-10
Then this is the book for you. This has all of the information that you would need (it even is on a website for "Wicca Training" - I wouldn't pay someone to teach me how to read this book).
Some items you will have to look more closely at than others, but overall it is a great book.
Nice work of Christian propaganda.......2007-08-09
Hey there, Patriarch here. Everyone, or at least I thought everyone, knows there is no such things as witches! That's why those Salem witch trials were so stupid, they were killing people for being witches when there ARE NO SUCH THINGS AS WITCHES! It would be just as bad if they had been killing people that were orcs or goblins. But that's those stupid Christians for you. So here we have this stupid book, I'm sure it was written by Christians in order to make people think witches are real and justify those horrible witch trials.
Have you ever seen some old lady with a wart flying around on a broomstick shooting fire at people? Of course not, the utter idea of it is ridiculous. So don't believe in this propaganda. Witches don't exist now and they never have.
One of the best resources.......2007-07-03
The Witches' Bible is one of the definitive resources on all things Wiccan but it is just ONE resource. As with most teaching resources, it's always best to get your information from more than one source and from more than one viewpoint. The Farrar book may be a little dry and scholarly for some so it should definitely be read in relatively short sittings and then digested for awhile.

Customer Reviews:
Well........2007-08-02
When ordering this book I figured, due the topic of the book(writing your own Book of Shadows), that it would focus upon organization, consecration and exploring the depth in which one could experiment with making their own book unique. It mentions this at the very beginning. That is the only place. Soon afterwards, the book begins to retort the redundant information, including chakras, days of power(esbats, Shabbats, what the days of the week mean, ect.), circle casting, the Wiccan rede, which nothing is wrong with this but one point: it does not explain how to include, intertwine and cast your own views on such matter to put into your own Book.
While skimming through the book you see there are lines and you think to yourself that, "Oh, goodie, she is going to ask me topics and tell me how to organize my own responses into the ethics of my book." But, sadly, this doesn't occur. The lines are there that you may respond to activities such as, "How did this creative visualization effect you," or "What kind of spells do you think you will cast for the Wort Moon?" Then it just stops with that. It drops with simple questions, such as those, and leaves you hanging with what to do with them.
If you are looking for a book lending options on how to sculpt your own Book Of Shadows do not look towards this one. It is just another book filled with Magick 101.
Witch's Grimoire: Create Your Own Book of Shadows.......2007-03-08
I bought this for my son, he loves it. Says it has so much information and is very interesting.
A Wecome Addition To Your Magical Library.......2006-04-06
I only wish I had been the first person to post a review for "A Witch's Grimoire - Create Your Own Book of Shadows" by Judy Ann Nock, as the previous reviewers used many of the praises and phases that I certainly would have incorporated into my review. Now I have to find other ways of saying that this book is a joy from beginning to end; well-written, thought-out, and organized, sincere and authentic, clear and an amazing guide for Pagan living, and developing your own Book of Shadows. Whether you are new to the craft or an experienced practitioner, I believe this book will serve you well. Step by step Rev. Nock takes you through all the paces necessary for a solid practice and complete Book of Shadows. The look, feel, and size of the book is perfect for what it represents. I could go on..... but the previous reviewers beat me to it!
Doesn't Miss A Trick.......2006-01-28
I found this book as inspiring as it is informative. Judy Ann Nock packs a vast amount of information into a very small space and does so in an entertaining and comprehensive style. Aside from the ancient look and feel of the book, the text, itself, seems magickal indeed. There is a section in the book entitled 'Book of Foundation', but I would have to say that the entire book is an excellent foundation from which to begin one's journey on 'The Path'. I have found the book to be indispensable and keep it alongside my own Grimoire to refer to from time to time. It is so well written I would recommend it for beginner, intermediate and advanced alike. This author has a gift and I look forward to more of her insights and teachings.
Perfect book for a beginner to the Craft.......2005-11-18
Most Wicca 101 books are more theory than practical application. A Witch's Grimoire breaks out of that mold with room to spare. Judy Ann Nock takes a novice Wiccan through the steps necessary to create a truly marvelous Book of Shadows from the paper to the entries.
Not only is the book written from a unique perspective, it is beautifully designed. A plain forest green cover with golden type and no picture wraps a rough cut edged book. The book's almost square shape makes it easy to hold and carry along with you.
Ms. Nock starts us out in the first chapter with an explanation and the reasoning behind creating your own Book of Shadows. With the popularity of some TV shows, what a Book of Shadows really is has been glamorized to mythical proportions. Unfortunately, the success of these popular shows has given rise to confusion as to how one gets a Book of Shadows. Once the reader picks up this book, not only is the confusion alleviated but also the reader is given a practical step-by-step guide with lessons, meditations and thought provoking questions. Some of the meditations are so lovely and peaceful that even a more experienced witch will find something useful in the book's pages.
Chapters are divided into "books" that are themed to the lessons and exercises they contain. There are sections devoted to the days of the week, the Sabbats and Esbats, charkas, candle magic and more.
The visual interruption caused by the question and answer sections with a place to write your answer bothered me. I think the book could have been successful without the few lines after each exercise. The areas provided weren't long enough to do more than jot down a few notes. Perhaps if the book were in a larger, workbook type format, the rules would have made better sense. Another area that I disagreed with was the author's use of the words "must" and "should" in describing rituals. That is a personal pet peeve and really doesn't detract from what I feel is a very good book for a new seeker.

Book Description
"The Mayfair family is a huge imaginative refuge for me; it is living and growing in my mind all the time."
--Anne Rice
In the spellbinding tradition of her bestselling The Vampire Chronicles, the prolific Anne Rice has created the sensuous saga of the Mayfair witches. Resonant with supernatural suspense, mesmerizing eroticism, and lush detail, The Witching Hour, Lasher, and Taltos have bewitched the imaginations of readers everywhere. Now comes the definitive touchstone guide to the history and mystery of this magnificent dynasty of witches.

Created with the full cooperation of Anne Rice, The Witches' Companion features detailed character breakdowns, from the present-day enchantress Rowan Mayfair to the lustful spirit Lasher; a complete genealogy of the Mayfair family; a chronology of events; a guide to geographical locations; the intriguing origins of the Mayfairs' extraordinary clan; revealing observations from Anne Rice herself; and much more.
Illustrated throughout with hundreds of photos, drawings, and maps, The Witches' Companion will be every Anne Rice fan's inseparable companion in traveling through the unforgettable world of the Mayfair witches and their legacy.
Customer Reviews:
For hardcore fans only who like endless detail.......2004-08-07
This struck me as a blatant attempt to make more money off Rice's previous novels. It gives no information that fans can't get from simply re-reading the novels and reads like an encyclopedia. I recommend Ramsland's excellent bio of Anne Rice, "Prism of the Night" instead.
A Vital Reference Guide to the Mayfair Trilogy.......2002-07-19
"The Witches' Companion" is a very exhaustive encyclopedia of all the terms, characters, locations, and events in the Lives of the Mayfair Witches trilogy (The Witching Hour, Lasher, and Taltos). Everything's included in this mammoth 500+-paged book: maps, illustrations and photos, a Mayfair family tree, bits of Anne Rice information, a chronology of important dates, in-depth character biographies, European and American history--the list goes on.
If you're an Anne Rice fan--and especially if you enjoyed the Mayfair trilogy--, then I highly recommend this official reference guide to her popular witch series. It's definitely worth owning, since it answers every question you've ever had about this trilogy and then some.
Also recommended: Katherine Ramsland's "The Vampire Companion".
A Must-Have for the trilogy.......2000-03-16
Unless you have an excellent photographic memory, you need this book. It straightens out and clarifies all of the family lineage, and gives you more background information on locations, people, and objects. It also gives some much needed info on the Talamasca, which is ever-present in Rice's novels. Buy this if you like reading the Mayfair trilogy.
The Mayfair Witches Chronicles.......2000-02-10

If you would like to read a book that will keep you on the edge of your seat, and very hard to stop reading at bed time, read the Mayfair Witches chronicles. There needs to be more of them!

A must have for the avid witch hunter.......2007-05-28
Despite the small size, this is an essential handbook into the thinking of a Witch Hunter for the warhammer roleplayer. It cleverly covers witch hunting tests and trials that ensuring that zealous witch hunting will never be far from paranoia. While not covering any particular warhammer rules this handbook will allow first and second edition witch hunters to carry on in their often over zealous hunt for Witches, Warlocks, Demons, Undead and anyone who may doubt the witch hunter's authority.
Witch Hunter's Handbook.......2007-03-24
Mildly entertaining- journal style reading that won't change your gameplay. Might influence a gamemaster to throw one in a campaign as an NPC but nothing in here will be used as a resource during a game.
very very good.......2006-10-11
If you like the oldschool witch hunters on the warhammer universe this book is for you its like an actual ref guide on weapons short stories facts on how to spot and find diff sighs of chaos taint etc hope they continue this series
Book Description
Kate West explores the myths that surround witchcraft, its festivals, beliefs, practices, and folklore. She explains the responsibilities of becoming a witch, and provides all the magical and herbal spells you need - from charms to help you attract your ideal partner, to healing potions for natural beauty, to affirmations that will help you find empowerment.
Customer Reviews:
Only for beginners.......2006-11-10
I suppose this book would be well-liked by Wiccans - and Wiccan beginners at that - looking to follow the Path, so to speak, but for more independent pagan practicioners or even more experienced Wiccans, this book is virtually useless. Also I was not impressed by the amount of traditional practice in this book. In today's rapidly urbanizing world where many pagans can't get out of the city into an enchanted forest, it's impossible to do many of the things she writes of, like nature walks and picking up certain natural items. I would have liked to see something more practical.
Best Beginners Guide Available (at the moment).......2006-04-15
Kate West writes from the heart. Her style is lovely, gentle, funny and very practical. One can tell that she is a practioner of the Old Religion, that she loves what she does and that she is passionate about teaching others.
There are hundreds of beginners books on Wicca now. Most of them a waste of paper and ink! Save yourself time and money, buy this book and go with it.
Recommended to beginners - and teenagers who are truly interested in learning about Wicca and Witchcraft, from someone who knows what she is talking about.
Great for beginners or maybe those 14-16.......2006-03-26
Great book on the basics it just lacks depth,
I like her other books better as the problem with any overview is you can miss the details
Basic information; practical approach.......2005-06-21
Kate West impresses me because of her practical "real life" approach. This paarticular book had that quality. She dealt with outside influence and secrecy, and emphasized the importance of state of mind over tools. These sorts of information are in short supply in books on witchcraft.
One of her greatest strenghths is also one of her weaknesses as an author: She has a tremendous amount of practical experiance. Her writing is from her own experiance rather than reseach. In a lot of ways this is good. It's certainly refreshing. But a seasoned practitioner, or at least researcher, isn't going to get a lot out of this book.
She gives some useful information on the elements and how to deal with them, and a very basic introduction to Gods and Goddesses. The sample rituals are great. Some of the best beginner rituals I've seen because they are simple, the meanings of the actions are clear, and they can be built on easily as you become more experianced. The rituals are the only thing in this book I might use for reference.
As beginner books go, it's not the best, and is certainly lacking in a few areas, but the intent is positive. If you've already read a few beginner books, I'd pass this one up, but I'd definitely recommend reading SOMETHING by Kate West. Her perspective is certainly helpful, even if every word she writes isn't.
Weak, I mean seriously you guys..........2004-09-21
About a decade ago, I found Wicca and felt I had come to a spiritual path that suited my outlook on the world and my place in it. After a few bad experience with other Wiccans, I left Wicca and organized religion altogether. Now that I'm in my late twenties, I had a moving experience and decided to come back to Wicca. Most of the books I bought as a teenager had been sold or given away. So I decided to go off of reviews on Amazon and get myself a nice beginners' book to reacquaint myself with Wicca. This book came up with pretty good reviews.
But now that I've read it and a few others, I can say it's miserable. The author provides nearly NO outline to what she's about to tell you. She often interjects her own self-esteem support talk, which I find off the subject. Each Sabbat description seems like it's theme is nearly the same as the last, or the one before the last. There's no discussion of Esbats. The book seems to teach eclecticism. I disagree with that approach. Eclecticism is perfectly fine, but you have to come to learning, open to the structure of that which you are curious about. Once taught from a sound tradition, people can choose what they want to take. No one needs instructions on how to be eclectic.
It's also very unstructured in it's depiction of ritual. "You can use this or that if you need to," apparently to help people who are in the clutches of poverty to know that they, too can be witches. And she constantly refers to this beautiful religion as "The Craft." This, along with many other bad habits Wiccans hold onto help to keep us a teenager's distraction instead of members of a serious religion. It's a religion, not a craft and, honestly, witchcraft is just one element of Wicca. It'd be like calling Catholicism, "The Communion," or perhaps "The Union" for short... or maybe "The Fession." I digress...
Thorsons Publishers seems to have left this book spell-checked in UK English for their US distribution, which wasn't as boss as it was an annoyance.
It's not a complete travesty. I seem to remember getting some benefit out of it... just nothing I can remember off the top of my head. It just patronizes too much and doesn't go into enough detail for people of slightly bellow-average intellect or greater.
In essence, this Wiccan's attitude is part and parcel with what I disliked about Wicca growing up as a young adult. I want more beginners' books that present Wicca with structured, sound theology, ritual, myth and magic. To learn about Wicca, one would be better to buy a book by the Farrars. Stewart & Janet wrote the best books with the best pragmatic material I have yet found. This book is just too loose and breezy for those of us who want a serious understanding of Wicca - even as beginners... perhaps especially as beginners.

1 star because it's the lowest I could give.......2007-08-15
Stay away from anything written by the Frost. There are so many much better books on this subject to choose from, why waste your money on this rubbish?
Witch's Handbook..yes it is!.......2007-04-06
I have read this book several times. I have been a witch for over 36 years, and have seen and heard about everything that can be imagained. This is a great resource for new witches and those who need direction. The Frosts are great Elders in the pagan community. Those who disagree with what they write (and they know I do at times!) should be willing to discuss their points with the Frosts, for they try their best to be available to folks who are willing to listen. It is not easy being an Elder of anything, let alone Pagan Elders. The people they discuss in their books they do know and have been friends with, and they are truthful about what they write. I know many of whom they write of, and know this for a fact. It's easy for people to try and tear others down because they think they know it all, but no one knows everything! No one! The Frosts encourage people to use thier own minds, evaluate things for themselves, challange what you think you know and see if its truth. I encourage folks to think long and hard before saying their books are not what they should be, and ask themselves several questions: 1. Have you read the book in question yourself? 2. Did you learn even one thing from the book? 3. If you disagree with anything in the book, did you attempt to contact the Frosts and ask their reason(s) for what they said, or even if that is how they feel now (for we all change our minds over time)? 4. Witchcraft in the "Real" World.......2006-11-04
This is the ultimate how-to book written by people who have been living the Craft for a total of more than 50 years. The Craft is both a magical and a spiritual path. This book is one of the few that considers both aspects.
Working with thousands upon thousands of students, Gavin and Yvonne have been able to write clear and concise instructions and guidance. A must-have book for all who wish to follow the alternative spiritual path of Wicca. Gavin and Yvonne--being the founders of Wicca--can be trusted by investigators to tell the truth as they live it.
I enjoy.........2005-10-10
I need to revisE.I did'nt know about visualising ca rcrqshes. enjoY thiS work.It heheped me through some difficult times. It shined on me with stories about the Frost's lives and how they encourage us and our educaTion anD leArNing. It helps us develop our psychic abilities and shows us a wAy that is free from harshness and brutality..of a sad nature those things are. . There is information on the Websites and healing andGavin and Yvonne are two of the pioneering teachers of Wicca... Like the Farrars,leaders..But they do not denigrade Satanism to my knowledge...Not falsey, false like the Farrars can be at times..In their anti Satanic stance..
How to build an economic empire on falsehoods and lies........2005-02-15
I honestly have to say that the Frosts have justifiably garnered nearly the worst reputation in the history of Witchcraft. They base their teachings on the shoulders of giants, and then claim it's their own, and they make themselves out to be experts when they literally make it up as they go along. This is not true Witchcraft, this is a fallacy.
The ridiculous content in this book is no exception. The book is nothing but a collection of anecdotes by friends and acquaintances, includes constant name-dropping, and is complete and utter rubbish. There is absolutely nothing of any use in this book whatsoever, and you will not learn a single thing about Witchcraft by reading it.
At best, they're laughable. At worst, they're making their money on naive people who are new to the Craft and don't know any better.
I'm not a Wiccan, I don't follow the Wiccan Rede, I'm a longtime Witchcraft and hoodoo practitioner--but from my 24+ years of study and magickal work, I can tell you that there are hundreds of better and more informative books out there for every magickal path, Wiccan and non-Wiccan alike, but this isn't one of them.
My recos: Embracing the Moon by Yasmine Galenorn; just about anything by Patricia Telesco; Everyday Magic, and The Craft by Dorothy Morrison; Secrets of Modern Witchcraft Revealed by Lady Sabrina; Mastering Witchcraft by Paul Huson; Earth Power by Scott Cunningham; Charms, Spells and Formulas by Ray T. Malbrough, just to name a few.
Don't waste your money on this book, the Frosts have taken enough people already.

Disregard the image she presents........2006-06-20
If you take away the Mad Mad House, the Def FX, the general need for media whoring, you have a well written, easy to read book.
It's like any book - it is what you make of it. Despite the recent backlash in the community about her public career, he writing style is fun and friendly - it makes you feel as though she's telling you a story or relaying an anecdote as a friend. And trust me, after seeing years of the cookie-cutter, SR 101 books, it's nice to see something different.
interesting and easy to read.......2006-05-31
i wouldn't say this is the most serious of books on this subject, but i did find that it had a lot more to say than some books on the craft out there. the emphasis is definitely on the "hip" part of the title (it's actually Witch: A Magical Journey, A Hip Guide To Modern Witchcraft), and consequently is a bit light and fluffy in places, but it does go into the darker side such as hexing which a lot of books seem to be afraid of even though it is a part of the craft and should be acknowledged. fiona gives a some great guidelines for beginners on how to structure spells and what incense/colours/materials to use. i would agree with some previous comments that she would make it appear that you can dive straight into performing spells with little or no preparation, and i think this book is lacking in a chapter or two on the work that needs to go into the theory side of things and practice BEFORE jumping in head first. a fun book with some interesting parts.
Some interesting thoughts, but it's all over the place........2006-01-11
I am glad she covered the Wheel of Seasons from a northern and southern hemisphere perspective. She includes a lot of relevant and important Wiccan lore BUT it's all over the place. Early on she is writing about spells, but has parenthesis referring to see page 64 .... or you'll hear more about this later on in the book. Personally I do not like flicking backwards and forwards in a chapter supposed to be about one thing, but with all the info located somewhere else. There seems to be no logical sequence to the chapters and I feel that she covers the titillating bits first and then polyfillas them in as she goes. I really thought I was going to like this book a lot and buy it, but after having read it I realise there are so many better ones, and I'll return the one I do have back to the library.
fiona is a lovely woman.......2005-12-28
I think Fiona Horne is a really nice and intelligent lady, but her image for witch craft of blonde glamor ignores the dark haired ladies of exotic extraction who pursue the craft.I was given this book as a gift and while I find it entertaining,I have read it all before. The only thing that is a little different is the author's rock background, but hey Stevie Nicks has done it all before.I would like to see Fiona broaden out her work as I believe she is a very good writer.
Not even close.......2005-08-19
Only thing that I can point out, because this woman stuns me so much... she's a writer, writing about Wicca... yet she doesn't believe in a God or even a Goddess, not to mention she's said in interviews that she only writes the books for money, she doesn't even like to write them! How does that make for an informative and even slightly correct interpretation? I'm 20 and have been Pagan for 7/8 years of my life, and I could even write so much better than this woman. What a shame, to have our representations reduced to this. I hope to see that people like Horne are out of the public view by the time my young son is old enough to understand my Path. (Just look at her website... spells for explicit usage designed for children??? How degrading!)
Book Description
The witch is a "naturalist" spellcaster who casts arcane spells using time-honored hearth wisdom rather than the arcane formulae and elaborate theories of wizardry. The Witch's Handbook, like other books in the Master Class series, presents a brand-new core class and an array of associated prestige class. In addition to the new feats, spells, and magic items that you'd expect, The Witch's Handbook explores the deeper secrets of the The Craft. Learn of covens and their ritual magic, charms and their making, and herbs and their magical applications. Whether you're a player looking for a different kind of magic user or a GM looking to add something new to your campaign, The Witch's Handbook has everything you need to bring The Craft to your d20 game.

A very good book for D&D.......2007-03-01
This book is really good on what is supposed to do: To present a new core class and a creative and delightful background to include it in your D&D 3.0 campaigns.
From the core class to the spells and the great amount of potions... the celebrations (based on real mithology and beliefs about witchcraft with their respective warning that the included information is only for entertaining purposes) this book is very useful and entertaining in a D&D campaign.
I'm waiting for a D&D 3.5 version of this book.
Much better than I anticipated.......2003-07-25
I ordered this book, sight unseen, expecting a mostly shoddy book with a lot of WC (Wicca Correct, similar to PC, but with more nightshade and black lace) crud and a few gems I might be able to slide in here or there.
Imagine my pleasure and suprise at discovering that this is actually a very useful, well-planned book that delivers a lot of good information in a balanced fashion. Witches can be evil, witches can be good, witches can be, well, pretty much whatever you want them to be. And they aren't just suped-up hedge mages or adepts, they're a full-blown class, with a pleasant combination of special abilities from other classes (most especially druids) and a few new abilities.
The prestige classes are great, allowing the witch to really customize her character, as well as providing a great prestige class, the witch's champion, that can give her some extra protection, in the form of a bodyguard, without getting ridiculous or borrowing too much from the Devoted Defender (Sword and Fist.)
The items section is interesting, providing a range of natural ingredients for spells and potions that can add flavour to a campaign. Even if you don't actually have to buy the stuff, it's much "neater" to have stuff like wolfsbane and celery root in your inventory rather than the generic "spell components."
The ritual magic section is superb, outlining rules that just about any class can use to "cast a hex" or just reach out and crush someone. This section is, however, the reason the book doesn't get five stars. After several chapters of giving flavour and colour to the rules, ritual magic is presented as a bare bones set of guidelines and standardizations, with precious little colour or detail provided.
Still, well worth purchasing, along with Green Ronin's Shaman's Handbook, if you want to generate a rural, magic-casting environment.
The Wise and the Wicked.......2002-11-15
The Witch has been an archetype in fairy tales and stories of long long ago. So it comes of no surprise that someone would want to make this basic type of spellcaster a part of the D20 landscape. The Dungeon Master Guide makes passing reference to the Witch class as a way for DMs to make their own classes but beyond a suggested spell list, not much development is given. Steve Kenson does a wonderful job filling out the class as a worthwhile addition to the base classes. The suggested spell list is expanded with new spells and the hows and why of the type of spellcaster a Witch should be is explained. Keep in mind that the Witch is not not supposed to be someone who gets into the thick of things with spells that fry opponents with Lightning or otherwise reduce an enemy to ash, her magic is much more subtle. No new skills worth noting but a few feats that are good for filling out a Witch's personality and while the selection of Prestige Classes is rather lean what is there is rather interesting with classes to represent the traditional wicked witch, Circe, the Wizard-Priestess and the Crone as well as a warrior oriented class of persons who defend Witches and their covens. Influences of powerful places and times of the year are given some well thought discussions with a calendar of Pagan holidays given as an example from our own world. All in all I highly recommend this book to anyone looking to add this classic type of spellcaster to their campaigns.

Great ^_^.......2004-01-10
I love this book!
Funny, quite well researched, some good recipies, some decent knitting patterns (in a book for children.. quite unusual, I know), not to mention the cute cartoon witches! Some of the information in the book is hidden (like the jar of bent pins in the 'witches beware' page.. which is a precaution against harmful magic, sending it straight back to the person who cast the spell without any affect to the inhabitants of the house) and the only fault in the book is that it seems to stick with the idea that witches are all evil.. I still love the book though!
Wicked book - for kids or adults!.......2002-05-28
This book is class- i've had it since i was about ten, but im still enjoying it as an adult! its well funny, & i love all the crafts to do- however some forgot one extra important ingredient- a rather large pinch of salt! Check out the 'alternative' horroscopes and the employment suggestions- should make you chuckle!
This is a really fun book.......2000-11-06
I read this book in third grade and I loved it so much! I'm not into witchcraft or anything but this book was really funny. The illustrations add to the fun. I would recommend this book to anyone.
Simply Bewitching.......2000-03-16
The Witch's handbook is a simply delicious piece, acting as a fictitious guide for the beginning witch or warlock. Through an inventive series of illustrations, text blocks, recipes, and indexes, a humorous collection is created of "do"s and "don't"s for the magical novice. Though written primarily for children, this fantastic book delights readers of all ages alike. A must for the lovers of the unusual.
Simply Bewitching.......2000-03-16
The Witch's Handbook is a wonderfully fantastic fictitious piece, assembling bits and pieces of witchcraft-related information in the forms of illustrations, activities, recipees, and magic-know how indexes. Though it was written to appeal to children, its jovial approach of mock sincerity will be appreciated by readers of all ages. A truly fabulous book.
