Welcome to I Spy Harbor, where, with the help of a pirate's treasure map, you can find your way from one spectacular location to the next, including an idyllic waterfall, stormy Lighthouse Point, and creepy Skull Rock . . . all on the way to discovering a
Amazon.com
Can you spy "a tortoise, a hare, a tea bag, a key/ a clock, and a flag on a house in a tree"? It's not easy--but readers of all ages will have a whole lot of fun trying. With more than a dozen I Spy picture books under their belts, including I Spy Gold Challenger, the award-winning photographer/riddler team of Walter Wick and Jean Marzollo are masters of their art form. And in Treasure Hunt, they've outdone themselves. Readers search for subtly hidden objects on every beautifully composed and photographed page. At first glance the setting seems like any other quaint seaside town. Take a second look and discover that it's in fact a very realistic model, with giant pencil erasers filling truck beds and gargantuan pennies nestled among the boulders of an island. The result is stunning, a surrealistic adventure.
Children will love to pursue the mystery of the pirate's hidden treasure, narrowing their search with every delightfully cluttered page. Looking for an additional challenge? Try the extra-credit riddles. For the inspired reader, Wick and Marzollo also include pages on how to create I Spy riddles and pictures. (Ages 3 to 8) --Emilie Coulter
Customer Reviews:
I spy another great book.......2007-03-11
Wonderful book. I loved it. My students loved using them too.
Great Book Great scenery.......2007-03-08
My husband and 7 kids love these books. They sharpen the mind. We love all I spy except for Spooky Night. Treasure Hunt has great pictures and scenery. You will not be disappointed!!
Great book, Wrong Age Range.......2007-02-10
I think the I Spy Series is Wonderful and Treasure Hunt has great pictures. My only negative is that the age range listed in Amazon is wrong, and even the 4-8 age range usually listed for this book should be a little higher, like 6-8. I have to admit that I have a hard time finding the pictures, so my 4 year old gets frustrated with this one.
I think the Picture Riddles is a great one for 4 year olds to start with.
I Spy A Winner!.......2006-12-13
The I Spy Treasure Hunt book is one of the many 'I Spy' books enjoyed by our family. We have the 'I Spy Extreme Challenger', 'I Spy School Days', 'I Spy Christmas' and 'I Spy Super Challenger' to name just a few of our books. They will entertain no matter what your age. Our children and now our grandchildren have pulled these books out many times. They are like magnets and will draw in whoever is around to your side to help find the hidden I Spy items. Here's a hint. If, no - when, you have trouble finding any of the objects turn the book upside down and that just might help. ~ The Boss
Lot's of fun.......2006-06-30
I bought this book for my kids ages six and seven. They both love it. This book is a nice mix of hard to find and easier to find items. These I spy books also made nice birthday gifts for some other children we know.

A Classic Collectible Pop-Up
One Red Dot
A Pop-Up Book for Children of All Ages
by David A. Carter
One Red Dot is a stunning tour de force from David A. Carter, the creator of the bestselling Bugs in a Box® books.
Each of the ten magnificent pop-up sculptures challenges readers to find the one red dot. From the flip-flop flaps to the whimsical wiggle-wobble widgets, each page is an original piece of artwork to cherish and admire.
Customer Reviews:
Marvelous book for all ages!!!.......2007-10-03
My mother purchased this book for my son at the National Gallery in Washington and he loved it! Soon after, his pre-school class visited the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the museum educator shared the book with the children while discussing the museum's Calder mobiles. The kids and the teachers loved it so this past Christmas, I purchased the book for all of the pre-K teachers in his program. They were so pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed it themselves, with their classes and with their own children!
It is a delicate but wonderfully crafted book. The hunt for the little red dot is an added bonus!
Seeing Spots.......2007-07-22
Couldn't resist purchasing this book for my daughter's 3rd birthday. She is fascinated with pop-ups. This one is a work of art. Could be used as children's book or coffee table book. My daughter and 80 year old Grandmother were both enchanted. I would recommend this book to anyone young or old. Just as a sidenote I also purchased the Blue 2 book by the same author "creator". It is much easier to find the red dots than the blue 2s. This is much more fun for my daughter, but I preferred the challange of finding the blue 2s. Overall, beautiful books. Thanks.
Beautiful piece of art!.......2007-06-06
This book in a stunning counting book. It is both smart and beautiful.
Very cool.......2007-01-26
The pop-ups in this book are extremely well done. I am impressed by their intricacy. It is not a challenge to find the dot, but that's hardly the fun of this book. I would not let any child near it though.
Marvelous Book!.......2007-01-16
I purchased this book for my 5 year old granddaughter. Not only did she insist on finding all of the dots, but it had several of the adults intrigued as well. What fun we all had! This book will be a favorite for years to come!
Book Description
Blue 2 is a beautiful cacophony delighting everyone! From a to z each letter gives a clue to where the Blue 2 is hidden in each of these spectacular pop-up sculptures. There's a glistening Blue 2, a slippery Blue 2, and even a suspended Blue 2. With gleeful helixes, jubilant kookiness, and mobile nonsense, each page will stun with its paper pop-up phenomenon. This sequel to One Red Dot is surely one to treasure.
Customer Reviews:
A 2nd (!) great book by Carter.......2007-10-03
Like "One Red Dot," this is a marvelous book. The three-dimensional creations are a wonder and the book is a fantastic gift for people of all ages.. children learning to love books, artists, teachers and adults who have an appreciation for detail. Last but not last, the book is great fun!
Not as good as Red Dot...but still cool.......2007-08-31
I think my title says it all. I bought this book because my kids and I absolutely loved the Red Dot book. We certainly enjoyed the Blue 2, but it was a bit harder for the kids (5 & 7) and they lost interest early. If you are buying this book for an adult - I think you shouldn't hesitate. You will love the ingenuity of the pop-ups.
Good for kids; great for adults.......2007-05-13
A beautiful, amazing book that will be appreciated by adults probably more than kids.
A Fitting Sequel.......2007-05-13
Who would have thought that One Red Dot could be equalled? Well, guess what? This is, once again, adorable and fanciful and mesmerizing. Even if we had to labor a long time to find the 2 on the very first page.
Fantastic book.......2007-01-12
I love this book! All of my kids, aged 5 - 11 enjoyed trying to find the "Blue 2" they make it just challenging enough, but not too hard. The pages were really interesting. Great purchase

Great Book.......2006-06-30
Bought this book for my kids who are ages six and seven. Good mix of hard to find and easier to find items. We also bought I spy books for other kids that we know and they were hooked. Makes a nice gift.
I Spy is a terrific series........2006-03-01
My husband and I have more fun with these books whether it's with our grandson or our friends. We really get into it and found that it helps our eye coordination and our memory. I would highly recommend this to anyone at any age!
Truly a great learning book!.......2006-01-12
I find these books great mind stretchers, even for us older folks. This book especially is a learning tool because there is a page with all the letters of the alphabet surrounded by little objects that start with each letter. Another page groups things by category with overlapping categories. Really well done.
i spy series.......2005-07-20
I love this series our daughter is about to enter kindergarten and she really enjoys finding all the items on each page!
A lot of fun!.......2004-07-15
My ten year old son introduced me to this fun little book (OK, it's big, but thin.), which he has been looking at for several years now. It has fourteen, two-page sized pictures of a collection of odds and ends connected with school. At the bottom of each of them is a list of things that you can look for (sort of like, Where is Waldo). But, read through to the end, there is a riddle about someone you'll find in each of the pictures.
This is a fun book. It challenges the young reader to concentrate on what is actually on the page, and pick out certain select items. I like that my son reads it for fun, even as the book is teaching him to concentrate and search systematically. He loves this book, and so do I. We both highly recommend this book to you.
Book Description
Twenty-four delightfully drawn tableaux with ingeniously concealed objects challenge sharp-eyed sleuths to ferret out survival equipment in a jungle scene; a near-sighted giant's mislaid glasses; tools belonging to an absent-minded tree-house builder and many other items. Solutions included.
Customer Reviews:
Picture Puzzle Puzzling.......2007-08-09
This book is not for little kids-it is black and white no color at all, not what we expected at all. It is for children who like to color within the lines with thin markers and kids who are old enough to concentrate-likely 10 and over.
Great Entertainment.......2007-05-13
I bought this book for son. He was throughly pleased with it. He said it was the greatest!. The puzzles kept him entertained for hours with never any boredom.
dissapointed.......2005-07-25
im sure the book is fine for those of us who can read. My 5 and 6 year old children(and myself) prefer the hidden picture books that show the pictures that need to be found, not in words, but actual pictures.
thanks,
amy
Great Puzzle Book for Middle School Students.......2005-04-16
The puzzles in this book are wonderful to use after students have finished a test or other work. It keeps them quiet so that the other students can finish their work undisturbed. The puzzles are a little more challenging than the usual Highlights Hidden Picture puzzles, which makes them great for junior high age students. I highly recommend this book and hope that Joe Boddy creates more in the future.
Book Description
Waldo's back in the picture in a brand-new adventure! Find the bespectacled traveler in never-before-seen illustrations, along with special stickers and a slew of other novel features.
Waldo's back, and he's anxious to show you his pictures. But not so fast — you have to find them first. Enter Odlaw's Picture Gallery and admire the framed images, then try to track them down in the crowded scenes that follow. Got the picture? Now frame it, using the handy stickers at the back of the book. But your challenge is just beginning! There are hidden characters and objects to hunt for, spot-the-difference spreads, silhouettes to match with originals, and plenty more. And don't even think of cheating: virtually all the art in here is new or previously unpublished, and as maddeningly intricate as ever. Happy hunting!

Amazed, Delighted, & Absorbed.......2007-07-19
I bought this book for my boyfriend so we could do this together and share our childish side.
Both of us were extremely happy with the book, once you start you cant stop. Every book has posed a challenge but this was the best yet.
Great Choice!
shocked and dismayed.......2007-04-30
I've always been a fan of the waldo books and so when I saw that there was a new one available I jumped at the chance to buy it. Little did I know that this particular book would be filled with nothing more than [...]. I was horrified when I sat down with my son to read it. Don't let the wholesome cover fool you. These pages are filled with lewd and disturbing images. The mermaids were particularly offensive. And the Waldo that I once knew was nowhere to be found.
As interesting..........2007-02-07
This book is as interesting as the other books.
I'm happy with my purchase. ^o^

this book is great for kids. Kids therelittle brains going for ages. There are so many things to look for. Great imagination.

A favorite.......2007-07-20
My son is always picking this book these days. He loves to find everything and does pretty well at 2 1/2.
OK for the I spy beginner...........2007-07-19
Good starter I spy book for the younger spier in your house. I would say 3 or 4 would be the oldest.
Great book but it's for young I spy beginners.......2006-07-09
This is a really cute book and would be perfect for a I spy beginner and a younger reader. My child is 3 1/2 years old and she loves I spy books and this is not for her. I gave it five stars because if I had purchased this last year when we were at a different level it would be fine. I will keep it and bring it out when my son is a bit older.
Very Good!.......2005-01-09
I bought this for my two year old and he loves it. He knows where all the pictures are ( he did before we left the store) an he still sits there with it in front of him for long peroids of time. I am trying to get the whole set. I don't know how many are in the set though and I was hoping that there would be some place where you could buy them in a complete set.
Perfect size for families on the go!.......2001-07-04
A smaller version of the full sized I Spy books, these books are just great. They include cropped pictures from the regular I Spy books and are printed on durable cardboard - just right for little hands!
My two year old loves this collection of books - they are just the right size for her to hold, are sturdy enough for her to play with, and there are lots of interesting pictures to hold her attention.
The pictures are lots of fun to look at. They give parents the opportunity to sit with their children and discover the different things in the pictures and to help their children identify them.
These are all very good books!! I highly recommend.

Amazon.com
"I spy a great big yellow two,/ a pair of scissors,/ and a button that's blue." Preschoolers adore perusing A Drop of Water creator Walter Wick's crisp, colorful photographs to find objects, and in I Spy Little Numbers, they'll develop number identification and counting skills while they're at it. On the number five spread, children will find not only the three main objects (an airplane with five windows, a soccer ball made up of pentagons, and a five-wheeled choo-choo train), but five-pointed sea stars, a nickel, a pea pod with five peas, and more. Other sturdy board books in the interactive I Spy Little Book series include I Spy Little Book, I Spy Little Wheels, and I Spy Little Animals. (Baby to preschool)
Customer Reviews:
love this book.......2007-09-12
I really like the way this book has text with pictures on one side, and then the I Spy pictures on the other side. It helps kids with the pre-reading skill of matching words with pictures. My son loves the rhymes and the pictures.
Light Rhymes & Bright Colors = Mighty Combinations !.......2006-12-31
"I SPY" inspires fun for all ages; this time around it will be the perfect gift for a little boy who has a new brother. He can "read" all kinds of stories about the brightly colored objects, and memorize the rhymes as well as help the baby learn numbers. Sharing is important for a boy with a dad in Iraq and a new baby demanding attention.
The "I SPY" books remind many mothers of the Girl Scouts' "Kim's Game" and the tradition of FUN & IMAGINATION lives on. The more fully & enthusiastically parents participate in their children's learning, the greater the benefits to the entire family. These books offer chances for all senses to be used. And the unexpected, unscripted sharings from children open the curtains for moms & dads on new perceptions of abilities & personalities.
What a pay-off! We can't afford for learning to wait for kindergarten years. Encourage kids to share their books whenever & however they can.
Great for detail-oriented kids and vocab building!.......2005-11-19
My two boys, ages 3 and 2, both pull this book off the shelf over and over. I use it to teach the younger one new vocabulary (both in English and Spanish) and the older one to continue to practice his numbers (also in both languages), as well as colors. It's a great addition to the workbook Flip Flop Spanish, and also just for fun.., my littlest, a one-year-old girl, even looks at the pages and will sit with the boys to watch them. They're sturdy pages, full of all KINDS of things. The kind of book you find something new each time you open it. It has little lists to find items as well.
One of the best books we own.......2004-04-16
My 15 month old son absolutely *loves* this book, and I do too. The pictures are very interesting with lots of easily identifiable items in them for kids to pick out. (He has learned quite a bit of vocabulary from this book and practiced words he already knows--ball, clown, train, etc.) One problem that I have found with a lot of books for babies and young children is that the rhyme schemes and rhythm of the text are often pretty wonky. Not so in this case. This book is beautifully written. The rhymes are fun and easy to read. Highly reccommended!!
Long shelf life.......2003-03-08
I have two boys, 15 months old and 3 1/2 years old, and both love this book. My 15-month old not only begs me to read it to him, but is starting to learn to identify numbers (and many other objects) from it. My 3 1/2-year-old likes it on a different level, to "spy" the objects. Highly recommended.

I Spy A Winner!.......2006-12-13
The I Spy Spooky Night book is one of many 'I Spy' books our family has enjoyed. We have the 'I Spy Extreme Challenger!',
'I Spy Super Challenger', 'I Spy School Days', 'I Spy Treasure Hunt' and the 'I Spy Mystery' book just to name a few of them. The I Spy Spooky Night Book in combination with the Boo-opoly Game will provide some frighteningly good Halloween entertainment. ~ Mrs. B.
Striped Cat!!!.......2006-10-09
Thank you to the earlier reviewers.... I (as well as my husband, father, and mother--not to mention my five year old!!) have been going CRAZY looking for the striped cat!!!
These books are just incredible--my son is well on his way to collecting ALL of them! And, we already have ALL of the CD-Rom games--he's solved them all several times. These are the perfect books (and software) for kids--and has occupied more than a few hours of my time since I discovered them. Even my 18 year old daughter has been challenged and frustrated by these books! There's not much out there that can entertain (or drive crazy) both kids and adults.
There are small differences in the books and software--some kids like the spooky motif of this book--while other kids seem to prefer the space or school motifs--but, all-in-all, any of these books and software are WELL worth the $$ you put into them. Enjoy!!! (Dang that striped cat! LOL)
BAT.......2006-06-20
The bat on page 19 is a baseball bat, held by the boy in the picture glued to the inside right door (just above the word "workshop").
FOUND THREE SPRINGS.......2006-06-20
The three springs on the library page: 1) on the "Smoke" book next to the chair ("Smoke" is on top of "Science Experiments"), 2) on the floor in front of the chair, and 3) on the grandfather clock to the left of the saxophone. THANKS for finding the striped cat!
Austria needs help!.......2006-04-25
Through friends in the US we got to know the great I spy books, but unfortunately we are not that perfect in English. Could someone explain to us what "birdies of brass" are? We don't even know what to look for! And what about the "ostrich beak"? Does that really meen the beak of an ostrich or is there a completely different meening of it when these two words are combined? And: could anyone give us a hint where the bat on page 18/19 is?
To help the person who looks for the third spring on page 16/17:
we assume that you are looking for the one on page 16 on the very edge where the books are (left from the wishbone)!
