The Duke.......2007-08-26
I bought this as a gift so I am not really in a position to review it, however my friend was delighted, so I assume it has to be a half decent read as he knows his Ducatis.
Another excellent Ducati book by Falloon........2007-06-11
Ian does his normal excellent job of providing the history of Ducati, with a mixture of facts and passion. Unlike so many other books, Ian gives a thorough treatment of Ducatis past with only the last chapter devoted to the current bikes which we can read about in magazines.
A lot of behind the scenes information is provided that I didn't know about.
If you are a true Ducatisti, then this is a Must Have book.
One of his best, pairing eye-catching color motorcycle photos with business and design facts........2006-11-07
Ducati is known for its motorcycles among transportation buffs today, but it switched from electronics to motorcycle manufacturing after a bombing during the second world war - and thus made its name in the industry. What is less well known is the stormy path that led to this reputation, chronicled here in The Ducati Story, now in its 4th edition. Ducati experienced a number of rises and falls due to questionable managerial decision-making processes. This book portrays some of its most famous designers and designs but also charts a company history behind the scenes. Falloon has written over 20 books on motorcycles, including eight on Ducati, but this in-depth survey is one of his best, pairing eye-catching color motorcycle photos with business and design facts.

Slot Cars for fun.......2007-02-03
This book delivers exactly what it promised. It could have a little bit more information since it was similar to a reproduction with updates of a book from the 70s.
Thomas Graham strikes again!!!.......2006-11-10
I use to buy all the Graham's books and I'm always very satisfied. Great pictures, many interesting details about the firm and the models,so I can state that he is the best writer of models book and this book too desereve great interest from ani model collector.

Customer Reviews:
JOKE~!!!.......2006-02-22
First of all, I HATE the BIG UGLY picture of American Car Racer...do not know his name, on the cover of the book. Second, I hate NASCAR and Cheap political HOT WHEEL junk I do not even care for looking at. The book should focus on HIGH QUALITY COLLECTIBLE BRANDS ONLY. What a waste of paper~!!!
This book was WEAK!.......2005-06-20
I did much better finding things on
www.nascarfantalk.com
Also disappointed.......2005-02-21
I agree that this book has very little to offer someone who is interested in diecast collecting and diecast values. The book contains some interesting photos and NASCAR history, but mostly sizzle with very little steak. Save your money.
A big disappointment.......2005-02-07
Very disappointing! This book has very little information on the value of nascar diecast and it doesn't have pictures to correspond with the item description. It lists the cars by team rather than just by dirver so it has maybe 10-15 max car models per TEAM. If you are into Nascar collectibles you know there are lots more than just 10-15 per team. This book leaves a lot to be desired.

Great Ideas for Traditional Ford Hot Rod.......2007-08-23
Enjoyed the great tips on how to build a Hot Rod. This book helps you get more ideas than you already have. You will definately be informed.
Great Book!.......2006-11-15
Very well written; one of the only books I could find on "traditional" hot rods.
Good for "Dummies" too..........2006-06-20
As a mere hobbyist, this was the book that made me realize "Wow! I can do this!". I found the enthusiasm of the writer to be contagious, the directions relatively clear (despite my lack of experience), and the advice to be sensitive-yet-consistent. Mike Bishop uses plain language and gives enough history to justify technical and aesthetic decisions without wasting words on superfluous background and gratuitous information. It's a short read that is chock-full of the exact knowledge I need to complete my build, but yet leaves plenty of room for individualization. If you are going to build a Model A hotrod, start with this book.
For Real Hot Rodders.......2006-03-20
This book is very well done. It is mainly a one style book of ideas and those opinions and style come from the Bay Area of California so they may not exactly jive with So Cal or East Coast or anywhere else, but the info is very useful and well written. Don't necessarily agree with things like the stock 32 center cross member (too hard to change trans) or statements about the strength of stock trans and rear axles (have broken both with 304" flatty). Overall highly reccomended for Real Hot Rodders, if you aren't sure of the difference, look in the trunk - if there are tools, it's a Real Hot Rod, if there are only lawn chairs, it's a Street Rod.
Where is it!.......2006-02-27
As of Saturday, 25 Feb. I had not received the book. This was ordered priority mail. Is there a tracking number to check on this item?

The ideal guide........2007-09-02
This is one of 3 books written by author Robert Schleicher. This title covers advice on building cars, race tune cars, driving techniques, building scenery, organizing races, etc.
This book has several b&w photos but they should have been colour.
For anyone starting out with Slot Cars this is the first book you should consider.
This bible is a good reference tool........2006-08-30
If you have caught the slot car bug, this book should be a must have to get you up to speed. It has a nice selection of track designs that span across all current track manufactures(There is also a chapter for those wanting to create permanent tracks).
You can tell Robert Schleicher has been active in the hobby since the beginning. His descriptions and writing style are easy to understand. As well as up to date.
He goes into custom modification of tracks, and is appropriately detailed without boring you into a coma.
The only ding that I can give the book is it's frequent use of black and white photographs. The book uses heavy, quality paper throughout. All color pictures would have been nice.
Good book. Well worth the price
Excellent Reference For The Slot Car Enthusiast.......2003-02-18
This is a very well done book on the slot car hobby for the beginner, novice and advanced enthusiast. I particularly found the information on various track layout designs, car tune-up and custom car building to be excellent. This book focuses on 1/32 scale and provides limited HO scale coverage. It has rekindled my interest in the hobby.
Great Book.......2002-11-12
This is a must have . If you are an avid slot fan or have ever owned slot cars you will appreciate this book. Robert did a great job....
