Customer Reviews:
Wonderful book for hosting a fairy party.......2007-09-17
This book was very helpful in hosting my daughter's 6th birthday Fairy Party! It had wonderful ideas, invitations to punch out (although I had to photo copy to make more as it only came with 4), and a whole section on "manners" when hosting a fairy party. Out of the 3 books I bought on this subject this one was the most useful and my favorite.
Very little information.......2007-08-04
This book is beautiful, but not worth the price. It has very little information on having a fairy party. There is better, free information online.
Magical Book.......2007-02-15
I bought this as the companion book for Flower Fairies Tea Party theme at Birthday Express. I also bought Fairy Crafts: 23 Enchanting Toys, Gifts, Costumes, and Party Decorations & Sweet Pea's Garden: Special Things to Make. All of this combined to make my daughter's special day very magical. In fact, if I only had this book, and Sweet Pea's Garden, I still would have had everything I needed.
I admit the recipes aren't that original although I liked the idea of using peaches as little bowls for fruit salad. Martha Stewart has a great idea for a pixie party with a nice menu. And Fairy Food is a cute little cookbook by Rebecca Gilpin that might give you some ideas. I didn't buy this book for food ideas though and I loved it. This book is worth having just for the artwork! I taped a ziplock bag to the inside back cover to keep all the punch outs together. I plan on using this book again for many more parties. And I photo copied the invitations. There just weren't enough for all of my daughters guests. This book even touches slightly on a hostesses duties wich was perfect.
Wonderful, my daughter loves it........2006-01-26
While the book is indeed only 28 pages, that's hardly the point. Think of it as 28 pages of ideas and activites that will keep your child entertained for weeks. I am suprised that my daughter has managed to keep track of all the little pieces that came with the book. This book taught her this! She still reads/plays with this book after three months.
Book is just 28 pages.......2005-04-27
There are only 4 recipes, and those are far from original. And the entire book has only 28 pages!
Book Description
The clever and colorful Miss Honey B. Five shows little ones ages 0–3 how hearts fill to the brim when friends gather together for tea and good times.
Customer Reviews:
My Very First Tea Party.......2007-01-12
I purchased this for our three-year-old granddaughter and gave her a tea set also. The book is very simply written; young kids can easily understand it. I would say it's 5-star for 2-3-4 year olds. Might be too simple for older kids.
Bright, colorful, cute.......2007-01-11
The colors in the book are bright and vibrant, and my 3 year old loves it. It is small enough that we can take it anywhere, and it doesn't take up too much space in her backpack.
A Christmas present.......2007-01-10
This was a Christmas present for my 20 month old little girl from her grandparents. She enjoys playing with it and I know that as she gets older it will get alot of use. It is sturdy, pretty, and appropriate for little girls of different ages.
Adorable!!!.......2007-01-10
This book is absolutely adorable. I purchased it for my 18 month old neice and plan to buy another for my baby girl too. It is a really nice story with adorable illustrations. Durable and perfect for little hands. What little girl doesn't like a tea party?
Sweet little book........2006-12-31
Purchase a tea cart for our granddaughter & this book. What a special duo.

Peek under flaps and help Tasha and the gang find just what they need for the perfect tea party!
Customer Reviews:
Fun, But Not Thrilling.......2006-11-14
"Tasha's Tea Party" is a board-book version of the "Backyardigans" episode "High Tea." In this story, the Backyardigans are on a quest to make the perfect cup of tea. They'll need the perfect tea leaves, a teapot and the perfect hot water.
I've never though that "Backyardigans" stories work as well in books as they do on TV. The show relies heavily on music and strong visuals, plus great humor, little of which comes across well in the books. The books are decent summarizations of what's on TV, some better than others. This one has flaps to lift, which make it kind of fun. Still, I'd say pass on this and you or your kids can just enjoy the TV version.
Then again, if your kids would get entertainment out this, then go for it. But there are other books that do this better.
Children love it.......2006-08-14
My twins love the flaps and it is a cute a colorful book. They love the backyardigans so that helps.

Book Description
"Miss Spider can't understand why insects flee in panic at her approach. Being a florivore herself, she only wants to invite them over for cakes and tea. The ironic air wafting through Kirk's rhymed tale will not be lost on young readers, and the insects in the big, brightly colored illustrations beear comically apprehensive expressions as they hastily depart . . . At last, Miss Spider is able to convince a rain-soaked moth of her good intentions . . . A sweet tale" --School Library Journal
Customer Reviews:
Great for young ages!.......2004-10-09
We've been reading this to our little guy since he was three months old, if even that, and he was glued to it from the start, easily his favorite book, still, at nearly 13 months. Great color, great rhythm, and lots of fun bugs! :)
I love miss Spider!.......2004-08-13
The "Miss Spider" books are pretty easy reads. Nice stories, wonderfully bright, and imaginatively styled illustrations!
My 3 year old is a little concerned with spiders in general and I think by giving a sweet personality to a spider, it helps to take the edge off of the spiders we may find in the house and in nature.
Beautiful.......2003-06-05
The artwork in this book will keep any child interested. It took my daughter a few reads to get into the story and she still prefers Miss Spider's New Car, but we read this book often.
Vividly Gourgeous Illustrations-A Joy to Read!.......2002-10-14
~ Miss Spider's Tea Party is one of those children's books that brings delight to the adult reader as well as the child.
~ The illustrations are beautiful and vividly intricate, but not too complex for children to enjoy, the story has a very gentle wit, that adults will appreciate.
~ Poor Miss Spider invites all kinds of insects to tea, but for some reason they seem reluctant to befriend her. : - )
~ Happily, her naturally sweet charm wins her popularity in the insect kingdom over, as well as a true fan in the reader. Children really seem to love this simple tale, mostly for the beauty of the illustrations, and the sense of a happy conclusion approaching.
I highly recommend this as a book you can enjoy reading with your child. And I would definitely also recommend the sequel "Miss Spider's Wedding"!
Wove a Web Around Me.......2002-04-15
My daughter and I love this book. The wording is terrific and the paintings are fantastic. She started turning the pages when she was 4 months old as she couldn't wait to find out what happened next with Little Miss Spider. Even at her age she's picky about books. I've been trying to read Eloise to her for days, but no go. However, Miss Spider is always a hit. Fortunately, it's so well written that I don't get tired of reading it time and time again.

Tea Party.......2007-03-27
A good book, but not as well done as some of the others.
Good book........2006-07-09
This book has good ideas about different kinds of tea parties. But not many of them fit my daughters likes. We enjoyed it though.
Let's Have a Tea Party by Emilie Barnes - Wonderful!!.......2006-07-05
What a great book for little girls!! This was exactly as described in info given by Amazon. It gives you different suggestions for tea parties, as well as ideas to get you started with your own creations. Lots of recipes and crafts, just right for little girls! Mine loved it!!!
Precious Tea Time.......2003-06-21
Sweet story...........loved the prayer. My grandaughter's

Let's Havev a Tea Party.......2002-12-20
This is an absolutely wonderful book! It has everything a child or adult would want to know about Tea Parties including child-friendly recipes and crafts. I liked it so much I kept it for myself and ordered two more for my grandaughters. Ok, so I never grew up. It's still a great book.

Book Description
When Gigi, everyone's favorite little princess, continues her royal adventures with a princess' tea party, everything ends up as tangled as her unruly hair. But with advice from Mommy and Daddy, the kingdom finds peace once again as Gigi continues her royal adventures with a new-found confidence as the daughter of the King!
Customer Reviews:
Perfect for your little princess!!!.......2007-01-11
What a sweet book for all the King's daughters! I purchased the first Gigi book at Women of Faith convention in 2005, for my then three-year old daughter. After seeing how much she loved that one, I knew I had to get Sheila's latest addition to the collection. The Royal Tea Party is just as good!! A special story to show our daughters that we are ALL daughters of the King!!! A definite must-have, in my opinion.
Goofy Girls.......2007-01-03
What a WONDERFUL book that brings out the nature of little girls but realizing how special it is to be God's. I don't have girls, but it's my favorite gift to little girls.

Customer Reviews:
Not quite what I expected.......2006-07-09
This is a great book. My daughter loves tea parties so I was very excited to get it. But she is 5 and it was a little over her head. She will enjoy it more in a few years.
Come to My Tea Party: Fun and Friendship for Young Ladies.......2003-03-13
I am absolutely delighted with this book - it turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. My granddaughter is having a tea for her fifth birthday party, and I wanted to get her a book on tea parties to make it more fun for her. I'm not sure how I chose this book, but I am so happy with the choice. It is about a little girl named Colleen who goes to Miss Sandy's Tearoom for a very special birthday surprise. She is given a tea set, three stuffed animals and suggestions on how to have tea parties with her friends to make them feel very special. There are food and project suggestions, as well as reference to some Bible verses. The illustrations combine with the stories to make a very beautiful book. I've decided to keep this book at my house to read to my granddaughters when they are with me so I can enjoy it with them.

When she's not having tea parties or zooming around in her new car, David Kirk's colorful Miss Spider helps kids learn their ABCs and even how to count. This set of three Miss Spider board books--Miss Spider's ABC, Miss Spider's New Car, and Miss Spider's Tea Party: The Counting Book--comes in a handy cardboard carrying case with a red plastic handle. If you're looking for the rich, rhyming language of Miss Spider's New Car, you should stick with the original hardcover, for the board book edition of this and of Miss Spider's Tea Party have been abbreviated and modified as smaller books for smaller hands. In Miss Spider's ABC, the heftiest board book of the bunch with all 26 letters of the alphabet, Miss Spider's friends prepare for her giant surprise birthday party: "Bumblebees blow balloons.... Earthworms entertain.... Fireflies fandango.... Moths mingle.... Owlflies ogle." Kirk's action-packed illustrations are crisp and luminous--crawling with comically anthropomorphized bugs jumping and laughing and mingling. A fine introduction to the world of Miss Spider for the younger set. (Baby to preschool) --Karin Snelson
Book Description
This new boxed set edition is a gorgeous collection of all of the Miss Spider board book favorites: Miss Spider's ABC, Miss Spider's New Car, and Miss Spider's Tea Party: The Counting Book.
Customer Reviews:
Miss Spider: 3 books with carrier Miss Spider's Tea Party, New Car, ABC.......2007-10-02
My grandson is totally in love with Miss Spider Books. He carries them around with him all the time. When his dad tells him to get a book to read at bedtime (or anytime) he ALWAYS gets one of his Miss Spider Books. He loves this one even more because the three book come in a case with a handle so it's easier for him to carry them around, where they slide and fall out of his little hands.
The illustrations are incredible!.......2006-03-11
I love every Little Miss Spider book for the wonderful stories, but especially the illustrations. David Kirk's angles and perspectives on each page combined with unique color saturate your visual senses. His use of "camera angles" and points of view are fantastic. He is one of the inspirations I use when I draw.
Great set.......2006-01-16
These are great books. I've bought them as gifts for several friends' kids. The pictures are colorful and beautifully drawn, the language is clever, and I keep noticing new little details every time I read them to my daughter.
Great deal on great books!.......2005-11-10
I was originally given Miss Spider's ABCs as a gift when my daughter was born. I LOVE it. Even when she was an infant she seemed to be captivated by the brightly colored illustrations. Now at 6 months she reaches for the pictures and always gives a big smile at the ending "suprise!" I then bought Miss Spider's Tea Party (board book edition), and she really seems to love the rhymes. I am now here buying Miss Spider's New Car and wishing I had just bought the set (for only like $2 more!) to begin with. These books are great for even babies, but I know she will enjoy them as she grows older and can understand them better as well.
Sublime Board Books.......2005-05-15
Even after almost three years, I still love to read and re-read these books to my girls. David Kirk's artwork is rich and deeply textured and the words (particularly in Miss Spider's ABCs) are unusual, roll of the tongue, and, in my experience, pique children's interest -- I particularly love introducing my girls to "hummingbirds hide inside irises" and "jumping june bugs kiss katydids" His books are where poetry meets art for the under five set. Added plus: I get a break from chanting "Brown, Bear"! For this alone I am grateful.
