5 out of 5 stars Excellent Book on Teams.......2004-09-03

Glenn Parker's book is a must-read for individuals and organizations that have cross-functional teams or are considering implementing them. Practical advice and actual examples of successful cross-functional teams make this book an easy and enjoyable read. I highly recommend this book to those who are looking to improve organizational effectiveness through cross-functional teams.

5 out of 5 stars A MUST HAVE BOOK FOR DEVELOPING TEAMS........2003-03-01

This book provides practical and helpful approaches to establishing cross-functional teams. The information provided by the author, Glenn Parker, is very useful for teams comprised of any discipline and in any industry. I have utilized many of the techniques and have seen results! I was able to get my teams up and running more quickly, we achieved results, and people seemed to have more fun because we functioned well together. I strongly recommend this book for team leaders and team members.

4 out of 5 stars A Help in Team Building.......2001-01-11

G. Parker knows all about developing workplace team work. Not only is he a team work consultant, he is very familar with the literature and research on team work. As most of us know, many consultants do not bother to read the literature on the topic they profess to be an expert on. Cross Functional Teams is informative and constructive, largely because of Parker's knowledge of the field. Parker's concept of Cross Functional Teasm, or teams link people from different parts of an organization, distinquishes the book from the other books on team work.

Book Description

The dramatic unfolding of how, against seemingly hopeless odds at the end of World War II, the most important international organization in the world, the United Nations, came to be.

In Act of Creation, Steven Schlesinger tells a pivotal and little-known story of how Secretary of State Edward Stettinius and the new American President, Harry Truman, picked up the pieces of the shattered campaign initiated by Franklin Roosevelt to create a "United Nations." Using secret agents, financial resources, and their unrivaled position of power, they overcame the intrigues of Stalin, the reservations of wartime allies like Winston Churchill, the discontent of smaller states, and a skeptical press corps to found the United Nations. The author reveals how the UN nearly collapsed several times during the conference over questions of which states should have power, who should be admitted, and how authority should be divided among its branches. By shedding new light on leading participants like John Foster Dulles, John F. Kennedy, Adlai Stevenson, Nelson Rockefeller, and E. B White, Act of Creation provides a fascinating tale of twentieth-century history not to be missed.

4 out of 5 stars The Birth of the United Nations.......2007-06-25

This book takes the reader through the San Francisco conference that established the United Nations (UN) and shows how the organization came into being. This is not meant to serve as a history of the UN and it does not take a position on whether it is good or bad. It merely discusses the differences that the nations had in the big power arena and focuses on a couple of the bigger disputes. The decision to add Belarus and Ukraine to the delegation but not Poland is explored as well as what to do with Argentina. The Truman administration inherited a tough war and an even tougher peace. The United Nations framework was built on the Yalta agreements which Truman was not even at. Sttennius and his state department team would be the real victors with the establishment of the UN despite Truman's desire to install a new secretary of state. The book has several areas where the language is unclear and it is hard to follow the authors point but largely it is well done and good analysis. The author knows his subject well and it is an excellent look at how diplomatic history should be done. If you really want to learn about how the UN was started this is the book to use.

5 out of 5 stars would you like to go to the back satge of the UN creation?.......2004-09-13

If your answer to the title of this review is YES, so you should buy this book. I just got it a few days ago and i can't stop reading it. It's amaizing how the author tells all the story behind the creation of the UN. Specially all the effort of FDR to gather some of the most powerful nations in wartime. If you belive in the values of the united nations, so you would like to know who its fathers are.

3 out of 5 stars Good summary.......2004-06-08

Schlesinger gives us a good overview of the impetus for and process of creating the UN. There are some interesting, provocative events told in this story, but I finished the book thinking the story could (should) have been more interesting. That said, it was a decent, consistent read--a good case study in "getting to 'yes'".

3 out of 5 stars Praise for a corrupt and greedy world-conqueror.......2004-05-03

What is missing from American readers is an ability to read between the lines, and a state of denial of where this world is heading. Why do Democrats try to portray the need for the UN? They condition us to think the sky will fall without their "international" support. Did you know that America abandoned China, refusing even to sell them weapons, all the while, they were being taken over by the communists who control china today, and were members of the U.N. while the nationalists China were removed from membership. I think the best thing this country could do is leave the U.N.
Read the book "The Insiders: Architects of the New World Order" for a real education. Or "None Dare Call it Conspiracy."
if can't find here, try ebay.

5 out of 5 stars A Great Book!.......2004-04-07

I enjoyed this book immensely! It kept my interest from the time you learn of Roosevelt's death to Truman's speech at the inauguration of the United Nations. You learn about some of Roosevelt's thoughts on the need for the UN. Most importantly you learn about the true architects of the UN charter. You learn of the people involved and the opposing viewpoints that shaped the language of the charter. It is not a stuffy book nor a read with big words. It is a down to earth, straight forward review of the UN's beginning. I would recommend this book to anyone with an interest in world politics.

    Book Description

During World War II, Japan was vilified by America as our hated enemy in the East. Though we distinguished "good Germans" from the Nazis, we condemned all Japanese indiscriminately as fanatics and savages. As the Cold War heated up, however, the U.S. government decided to make Japan its bulwark against communism in Asia.

But how was the American public made to accept an alliance with Japan so soon after the "Japs" had been demonized as subhuman, bucktoothed apes with Coke-bottle glasses? In this revelatory work, Naoko Shibusawa charts the remarkable reversal from hated enemy to valuable ally that occurred in the two decades after the war. While General MacArthur's Occupation Forces pursued our nation's strategic goals in Japan, liberal American politicians, journalists, and filmmakers pursued an equally essential, though long-unrecognized, goal: the dissemination of a new and palatable image of the Japanese among the American public.

With extensive research, from Occupation memoirs to military records, from court documents to Hollywood films, and from charity initiatives to newspaper and magazine articles, Shibusawa demonstrates how the evil enemy was rendered as a feminized, submissive nation, as an immature youth that needed America's benevolent hand to guide it toward democracy. Interestingly, Shibusawa reveals how this obsession with race, gender, and maturity reflected America's own anxieties about race relations and equity between the sexes in the postwar world. America's Geisha Ally is an exploration of how belligerents reconcile themselves in the wake of war, but also offers insight into how a new superpower adjusts to its role as the world's preeminent force.

      Book Description

In a stunningly original work about the impact of cultural perceptions in international relations, Simei Qing offers a new perspective on relations between the United States and China after World War II.

From debates over Taiwan in the Truman administration to military confrontation in Korea to relations with the Soviet Union, Qing explores how policies on both sides became persistently counterproductive. Implicit moral and cultural values became woven into policy rationales for both China and the United States. Cultural visions of modernity and understandings of identity played a critical role in each nation's evaluation of the other's intentions and in defining interests and principles in their diplomatic relationship.

Based on American, Russian, and newly declassified Chinese sources, this book reveals rarely examined assumptions that were entrenched in mainstream policy debates on both sides, and sheds light on the origins and development of U.S.-China confrontations that continue to resonate today. Simei Qing also provides a compelling look at the vital role of deeply anchored visions in the origins of human military conflicts.

4 out of 5 stars Graphic SF Reader.......2007-09-03

Hawkman and the Atom work well together, and a surprise betrayal that you don't see coming. Robinson's artwork is very nice, too. This is more of the eternal triangle of love, death and assassination that Hawkman, Hawkgirl, and their enemy Hath-Set have been trapped in for thousands of years. This time it comes from a very unlikely source.

5 out of 5 stars 6 Issues Of One Of Comicdom's Absolute Best Ongoings.......2005-07-08

Reprinting #s 7-12 of the current "Hawkman" series, "Allies & Enemies" covers a lot of ground, the various issues within taking on different ideas and being different kinds of books while still maintaining the coherency of the series.

Number 7 is the 'Past Lives' issue, covering a pair of Hawkman and Hawkgirl's previous incarnations in the DC Universe, those of Nighthawk and Cinnamon in the Old West, two characters who actually previously existed in the DC Universe but, I believe, hadn't been used for years and years and who I don't think ever had any connection to the Hawks until this current series. It's amazing how the Hawkman creative team is taking old and seldom-seen characters and making them into big parts of this series. Great issue for Hawkman fans, great issue for those who bemoan the scant existance of Western comics (once so plentiful on the scene) on the scene today, great book period. My only complaint is I would have liked the 'Past Lives' thing to run a few more issues, each book tackling a different period and set of incarnations. There's so much to the backhistory (spanning thousands of years!) of these eternally reincarnated characters yet to tell - just one more reason to hope the series makes it to # 500 and beyond, to have room to fit everything in.

Numbers 8 and 9 are both 'junction' issues (tying in a number of plotlines - pre-established ones and hints of upcoming ones) and interpersonal issues, with The Atom getting feature treatment along with the regulars in # 8 (very fitting, since he and Hawkman once shared an ongoing title on a regular basis and Dr. Fate joining the stars on center stage in the ninth. Both are dramatic, moving and exceptionally well done. Number nine is also getting into increasingly disturbing territory, as details of Hawkgirl's harrowing past (in this lifetime) begin to come out. Neither is going to over well with readers who prefer for every issue of each series to be all fighting and action, all the time. I love the mammoth battles as much as anyone, but I love the kind of thing we get in these issues too. Neither would be as effective without the other; the different atmospheres and different tones within a series play off one another and make the whole much better.

For numbers 10-12, there's less one can say without giving away plot points of earlier issues, both those in this book and in the previous 6 issues (aka the "Hawkman: Endless Flight" Trade Paperback). Suffice it to say they're more high adventure-oriented, they continue the trend of taking the Hawkman series to locales less seen in the DCU by going to the Himalayas and yes, the yetis are here. Some of the best-looking yetis ever drawn, ensorceled by evil magic into a deadly fighting force.

Needless to say (if you're familiar with the series at all) the art is impeccable. The supporting cast continues to grow and come more and more alive with each issue. And the Hawks are becoming as integral a part of the overall DC Universe as Superman and Batman.

      Outstanding; extremely recommended.

5 out of 5 stars Starman Part Deux!.......2004-06-05

"Starman" by James Robinson was my favourite comic for many, many years. In fact, it was the book that introduced me to the fascinating world of DC Comics' "Golden Age" and its colourful characters. I was genuinely distressed when it ended some years back (and I'm not alone, check out the reviews on the many "Starman" TPBs to see that). Therefore, I am genuinely thankful that James Robinson is continuing his magic (with Geoff Johns, another of my favourite writers) on the newly revived "Hawkman" title.

While the first volume ("Endless Flight") helped to introduce us to the characters and the city of St. Roch, this second volume is where the book actually takes flight. Those who loved "Starman" for its many "Times Past" storyline will be pleased to know that the same thing is happening here in "Hawkman" with its "Lives Past" (the first of which is reprinted here with Hawkman/Hawkgirl in the old West). This volume also reintroduced the "Gentleman Ghost" Jim Craddock, a Golden Age villain who bears comparison to the great character of The Shade in "Starman". All in all, like "Starman", we again have a book that is truly modern and yet is rooted in history - paying homage to the work of "Times Past".

Further bonus: The Atom guest stars in this book, Hawkgirl discovers the truth behind her parents' murder and we see some real developments in the relationship between Hawkman and Hawkgirl. Finally, the whole package is presented to us by the breath-takingly beautiful art of Rags Morales (inked by Michael Bair) and Don Kramer. The equally gorgeous painted covers by Andrew Robinson and John Watson are included in the back of the book.

This book is heartily recommended to everyone who loves the romance, chivalry and rich history of superhero comics.

2 out of 5 stars Disappointing supplement that could have been great.......2007-04-11

NPC books are a common find in roleplaying games - from Advanced Dungeons and Dragons to Shadowrun, practically every RPG has released them for their systems. Because of this, consumers tend to expect one or more of the following in such a sourcebook: extremely interesting premade NPCs, rules/mechanics for creating new NPCs, and statistics for established (read: popular) NPCs. Enemies and Allies has all three of these aspects, but doesn't do any of them well. For example...

      - Premade NPCS. The first fifty pages are devoted to presenting premade NPCs in two formats: "typicals" are generic archetypes of that group and "specifics" are named members with their own personalities. The archetypes lack any sort of "sliding scale" mechanism that would make them useful beyond their presented CR (level) - a burglar is always a CR 2 rogue unless you take out your PHB and DMG and figure out what new skills and stats they would have at CR 5 (what's the point of having pre-made NPCs if you still have to do a lot of work to make them useful?). "Specific" NPCs are more useful and have adventuring hooks, but the vast majority simply didn't capture my imagination in the slightest.

      - Mechanics for creating new NPCS. The supplement has a page and a half devoted to rules for creating "The 1-Minute NPC" and that is exactly what you get - a few skimpy tables that will result in one-dimensional NPCs that don't have most of their statistics attached. This product could have provided a million more options for better NPC creation (even if it wanted to stay in the 1 minute format), but in the end we get next to nothing.

      - Established NPC statistics. This book contains the stats for all of the "iconic" characters in the Dungeons and Dragons books. Who are the iconic characters? Those are the class "examples" drawn into all of the core D&D products (at least one for each of the core classes). Want to know what skills Lidda the Rogue or Tordek the Dwarf Fighter have? They're in this book! Plus, their skills are presented at every five levels (5,10,15,20) in a sliding scale that was ignored with the previous NPCs. There's no other background information on these characters, however - no personality traits, history, or ideas as to what motivates them. Because of this, the "iconics" remain icons rather than functional characters that can be used in a game.

In the end, this book was not worth purchasing and wasted a great deal of its potential.

      1 out of 5 stars Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.......2002-03-13

I read this book and couldn't help but chuckle a bit. Being a long time fan of RPGs (D&D 1e-3e, Paladium games, Shadowrun, Gurps, Warhammer, WoD..) I read this book with a cynical feeling of "well duh!"

I think most of the DMs that are up to buying this book (ie: Have all the other required tools for the job) should most likely NOT need this resource. It spells out some NPCs for you that really didn't need spelling out, and takes away what little creativity the module-only DM had left.

Personally I am not a module-bible DM, and use them only from time to time as a jumping off point, but the utter lack of originality that would send someone out looking for this title absolutely blows my mind... I pitty their gamers.

2 out of 5 stars Only useful if you can't think of a character.......2001-12-07

I expected the suppliment to be a good resource to MAKE NPC's...instead, much if it is hashed together people that I wouldn't put in any of my campaigns even if I was desperate enough!!

And a little pet peeve of mine; whenever I open a book, I expect at least DECENT pictures that portray the characters (like in Forgotten Realms...well, not all of them) or at least a caption telling me what's in the picture. Okay, I can see the "Iconic Character" NPC's in the back, like Lidda and Krusk and can identify them, but the rest...some I had to guess who was who (The Circle of Green being a prime example...i'm still trying to figure out which female is which).

And, I know this is a "Basic" suppliment, but was the budget for the book artwork that bad?? Looks like the "Iconic Characters" chapter blew the budget, while the rest are hardly recognizeable. And why the small ammount of pictures? The Iconic Characters would've been worth it for the pictures alone; seems they shafted the Elves, Half-Elves and two of the three "Religious" characters for the others. The others...from passable to pure...pure...you get the point.

      Only buy if your desperate...

5 out of 5 stars A good resource for creating colorful non-playing characters.......2001-11-10

I've been playing D&D now for about 14 years, off and on. When I started getting interested in the 3rd edition, I bought the ENEMIES & ALLIES book on Ebay with the thought in mind that since it was new, I could get it for a reaosonable price and sell it here on Amazon.com if I did not really like it. After flipping through the book, then later reading over it, my first impression was that it was basically "AD&D's The Heroes Lorebook" or "AD&D Dragonlance's Unsung Heroes" remade for the third edition campaign. Not so. It provides TEMPLATES as well as INDIVIDUAL non-playing characters who can easily be modified to your campaign and dropped into the setting. I have decided to keep the book because it provides me with interesting suggestions for characters that I can use to interact with my player's characters within the game. Also, the artwork is excellent and the written content is interesting and amusing enough to hold attention while you read - which I find to be a huge merit. It's a good tool to have on hand, and a useful addition to your trove of 1e, 2e, and 3e D&D books. :)

2 out of 5 stars Enemies and Allies?.......2001-11-07

I was excited at the prospect of getting this book but when I opened it, I was dissapointed by its contents. I was expecting rules and guidelines as to how to create balanced and proper NPCs but rather I saw a lot of missmatched classes, especially with the "monster" types like Mindflayer Assassin (huh?). In short, I was expecting a lot from this material, hoping this would help me create NPC's (enemies or allies) using sound guidelines but rather the entire booklet is just full of silly and ridiculous samples.

If you're not feeling creative, then this might help you. But, if you need to make a perfect villain or ally in your campaign, then stick with your own imagination and it might save you a few bucks!

        Book Description

We've come a long way since the classic book The Organization Man first introduced the "ideal" 2-person career--a full-time male breadwinner and a stay-at-home wife. What typified the '50s good life is in stark contrast to contemporary reality: 63% of all married women with children under six years old are in the workforce and 40% of all workers are part of a dual-earner couple. Work and Family--Allies or Enemies? offers a fresh new lens for viewing the real struggles that business professionals face in their daily battle to find ways of "getting a life" and "having it all." Based on a pioneering study that surveyed more than 800 business professionals, this volume will help readers understand and deal with the effects of gender, professional culture, and social expectations, on the evolving roles of men and women in crafting an integrated life. A rich, inspiring, and at times disturbing look at how work and family affect the lives of men and women trying to manage the complexities of modern living, the authors argue that it is critical to learn how to manage the boundaries between work and family, to handle ambiguity, to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and to build networks of support at work and in the community. Work and Family--Allies or Enemies? offers a prescription for success that requires that all parties--individuals, employers, and society--clarify what is important, recognize and support the whole person, and continually experiment with new ways to achieve meaningful goals.

        5 out of 5 stars A Thoughtful Look at Work-Family Relationships.......2002-08-08

This book contributes to our understanding of the complicated relationship between work and family life. Based on an extensive survey of over 800 business school alumni, the book takes the reader on a thoughtful journey looking at the issues facing both working parents and the organizations employing them. Organized around six major themes, two particularly stood out for me. First, the authors make the point that work and family can be allies. When there is support for non-work lives, individuals experience greater well-being in the form of less role conflict and greater self-esteem. Another critical theme is that children are major stakeholders at work. Although others have made this point, Friedman and Greenhaus do a stellar job of describing the behavioral and psychological effects on children of having a mother or father deeply involved in work. Written in a clear and engaging style, this book is valuable to both human resource practitioners and scholars.

        4 out of 5 stars Insightful!.......2001-04-10

Stewart D. Friedman and Jeffrey H. Greenhaus conducted extensive research with 861 alumni of the business schools at Drexel University and the University of Pennsylvania, both in Philadelphia. Their research yielded revealing results about the struggle of professionals to manage work and family commitments. However, Friedman and Greenhaus present these results in such overwhelming statistical detail that the average reader is in danger of being swamped. This is especially the case when the data proves principals that most people already grasp through common sense and experience. That said, we ... recognize that the authors have done working Joes and Janes a great service by aggregating numbers to back up the notion that it's getting tougher to balance family and career. As such, this is an important book for anyone in a position to set workplace policy.

5 out of 5 stars Pioneering new ideas for integrating work and family.......2000-12-13

The dilemma that working parents all face as they succeed in their careers is how to manage their emerging professional responsibilities with their nurturing responsibilities for children. When family demands escalate, typically women scale back, or opt out of, professional opportunities freeing men to climb the proverbial career ladder. An authoritative new book, Work and Family -- Allies or Enemies by authors Stewart Friedman and Jeffrey Greenhaus, makes the case that it is possible for both working parents to pursue a career and assume full parental responsibilities - and be happy doing it - if both are willing to work cooperatively.

Based upon a pioneering study of 800 business professionals, Work and Family offers startling insights and lessons into how men and women, along with their employers, are dealing with the challenges of integrating parental and professional responsibilities. The book is formed around six key themes: 1) We can have (much of) it all, but it's especially difficult for working mothers; 2) Work and family can be allies; 3) Time is not the major problem; 4) Authority on the job is essential for work-family integration; 5) Women may be better adapted for jobs of the future; and 6) Kids are the unseen stakeholders at work. Friedman and Greenhaus weave these themes through the book in ways that puncture myths (keeping private and professional lives separate) and illuminate new understandings (acceptance of employers to new work processes to complement work-family integration).

The authors offer three principles for integrating work and life. One, clarify what's important. Parents need to be clear with one another as well as with their employers about what they want to achieve in their lives. Two, recognize and support the whole person. Private and professional lives overlap; it is important that individuals integrate the best parts of themselves into all parts of their lives. Three, continually experiment with how goals are achieved. Blending work and family is an ongoing learning process that needs continuous evaluation to meet changing needs.

Work and Family is as much for parents as it is for employers. The war for talent is continuous and escalating. As authors Friedman and Greenhaus demonstrate in their research, those employers who strive to meet employees' needs for an integrated work and life will be rewarded with more loyal and dedicated employees who are happier and more productive. They end up creating a win/win situation for employees as well as their shareholders.

Work and Family is an important work deserving of inclusion in the lexicon of literature concerned with our changing workplace. Parents will find prescriptions for finding answers in their day to day work and life choices. Employers will find lessons that they can apply to their work environment. And researchers will find a fundamental study upon which to carve new understandings of work and life in our culture.

5 out of 5 stars wow...completely fantastic from beginning to end.......2006-12-08

this is right up there with blackfire, covenant of the crown, and yesterday's son as my favorite trek books..I wasn't too fond of The Wounded Sky so I was skeptical comming into this one, but I'm glad I didn't judge it on my dislike of Diane Duane's previous work. If I had I would have missed a totally great read.

This is classic Trek in all its glory. High stakes, a classic enemy in the Romulans (alot of great peeks into why they are they way they are by the way), great character moments. Every element that makes trek great is in this book.

        Not to be missed.

3 out of 5 stars Good basic story, but meanders.......2003-05-30

Diane Duane has crafted a good basic story about a Romulan commander joining forces with the Enterprise crew to foil a despicable new weapon that she feels will be a permanent blight on the honor of the Romulan people. It has some nice suspenseful moments and builds to a satisfying climax.

However, it is also terribly padded. There are pages and pages of exposition that do little to advance the story and belabor the character points that are being made. Characters converse for pages about matters that turn out to have little to do with later events. Worst of all, Duane goes to great lengths to show us how the Enterprise crew is one big happy family. They are always giving each other amused looks, gazing at each other with appreciation, and trading gentle, affectionate comments about each other. Such a constant barrage of warm fuzzies grows tiresome rather quickly. Fortunately, this aspect of the book grew less egregious toward the end of the novel.

5 out of 5 stars Great story, with a hidden (and maybe unintentional) message.......2003-01-18

I know that some of you Star Trek buffs ('Trekkies' as we are (affectionately?) referred to by American culture at large) will be surprised to find me reviewing this book so highly, because Ms. Duane has seldom, in her work, ever agreed with my phillosophical views. That said, I was pleasantly surprised by an element within My Enemy, My Ally which I will explain in a moment.

The story is unique in that it centers around, not the Enterprise crew itself (Kirk, Spock, and co.) but around one Ael T'rellelieu -- a Romulan war hero who, disgusted and heartbroken by the supplantation of her culture by some young, politically motivated hotheads in the Senate, and horrified at a dehumanizing weapon of mass-destruction they have invented, turns to her despised enemies -- the Enterprise crew -- for assistance in its destruction, thus making herself and her family, in the eyes of her own culture, nonpersons and traitors, worthy of exile and vilest death.

The surprising moment, for me, was the answer Ael gives when the Enterprise crew questions her as to why she a Romulan -- a race which prizes family loyalty above life itself -- would do what she has done in coming to them: "It is a matter of m'nhe'sahe." "M'nhe'sahe" -- an untranslatable Romulan word which the resident linguist among the Enterprise crew renders as, "The kind of love that requires you to give your last breath for the sake of an enemy, or kill a friend."

Observant people familiar with Christianity will see what I'm getting at here. Romans 5:8 says, "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Sound familiar? Ms. Duane, in the concept of "mn'he'sahe" has given us, whether intentionally or not, a surpassing picture of the love of God. Congratulations, Ms. Duane, you've not only given us a superb work of literature, you've also written on of the best parables I've seen in years. Keep it up!

5 out of 5 stars BEST STAR TREK NOVEL EVER!!!!.......2002-11-18

I think this has to rate as one of the best Star Trek stories ever! I was so excited when it was released again! A must read for every Star Trek fan!!!

4 out of 5 stars Very Good Book.......2002-07-17

This book is so much better than My Enemy, My Ally. The Romulan Way shows us the rich history of the Romulan people. The story is so poignant. My only complaint is that the 23rd Century portion of the novel seems to drag on too long. If you liked Spock's World or enjoy the Romulans then I highly recommend this book.
