These cards have a wonderful vibration, all very inspiring, uplifting, encouraging. However, they are not without depth; they are more than just "sweetness and light." There is a suggestion that they can be used in combination with other kinds of Tarot (that can carry the darker undercurrents--necessary energies to be aware of in their own right), and I find there is a good balance that way.

I bought this deck to learn more about the Ascended Masters and to begin to work with their energies.
I was actually very surprised to see that world deities are considered ascended masters, along with New Age figures such as El Morya, Saint-Germain and others. In fact, the world deities make up most of the deck. My one complaint is that I actually would have liked the inclusion of more of the specifically "New Age" Ascensionist Masters (I realize many deities have become central Ascended Masters in the Ascension movement, such as Kuan Yin and Buddha, and would not have minded them being included), and seen the world deities go into a completely seperate deck. I was a little dissapointed, because I really did want to learn more about them through this oracle.
Other than that, I love this deck! Like her Goddess Oracle, I found the readings to be extremely accurate right from the get-go. I use these cards along with the Goddess Oracle to get an extremely well-balanced reading - in the accompanying book it gives a very simple method for using multiple oracle decks for one reading, which I recommend everyone give a try.
I would love to see an "expansion pack"-type deck for this one made that focuses more specifically on the New Age Ascended Masters, including the more intergalactic figures such as Ashtar. I feel I could really learn alot from such a product, and that was the original intent of purchasing this one. However, as a lover of world spirituality, it was fun to see many familiar faces in this deck, and to be able to to incorporate that wisdom into my readings and meditation.

I bought this deck to add to my collection of Doreen's cards. I have them all. These are as beautiful as the rest, I especially love the gold edges, however there are too many of the same cards from previous decks. The artwork is different but it's pretty much the same meanings. I was hoping for something new in this deck and it just doesn't have it. Even so, I will continue to buy Doreen's cards because I love the artwork in them and the positive inspirations.

Here's a helpful suggestion to all inspired to use this kit: During any reading using a 78 card deck you can use this deck to read together by drawing an angel card with a reversed card to ease querents apprehension and to assist their soul-spirit with a one card angel reading and better yet draw an angel card to read with the final outcome card(works very well!!..and querents love it!) This my favorite that I depend on for reversed card bail-outs, final outcome cards, and lastly...Total angel readings.. From Beginner,Initiate,apprentice,journeyman,to Professional I reccomend this deck highly even with its shortcomings. I have this alongside my 78 card whever I perform a reading with extreme confidence.

I have many of Doreen Virtue's oracle cards, and a few others by different authors. Healing with the Angels is an inspiring deck, and somehow, every time I do a reading, it reflects some aspect of my present, and that is indeed amazing. In this deck, there are 44 cards that provide a means of 'communing' with your angels...you can do a reading for yourself, for your family or friends. The enclosed guidebook helps to provide interpretations of the readings. Each card is beautifully illustrated by pictures of angels in different visual styles. Though the deck isn't as beautiful as some of the other Virtue decks, it is still worth adding to one's collection.

This is a very nice and gentle set of Faery Cards. I bought it after having owned the Froud-MacBeth set, which is magnificent, but stronger, deeper, profund and sometimes a little bit scary at first.
Doreen's card set however, is a soft and reassuring way to start the day. But do yourselves a favour, buy Doreen's 'Healing with the Fairies' book. They sell separately, but you will see lots more sense in the cards, and if you are a believer you won't be able to put it down. If you are not, this book may just change your mind. They both go definitely together.
Better still, do as I did, use this card set together with the Froud/Macbeth FaeryOracle cards. Doreen Virtue teaches how to do a two or multiple deck reading, and you'll be surprised at how the Faeries on both decks work together.
Highly recommended.
Didn't Think I'd like them but I DO!.......2007-05-14
I bought these because I love fairies. I did not expect much from the cards though. It was an impulse buy. Years ago I once listened to some audio tapes by Doreen Virtue and was not especially impressed with what she had to say. I don't recall exactly which of her many products it was but it seemed rather fluffy.
I have been pleasantly surprised by this particular Virtue product. I have really enjoyed the art and the messages. The cards have a lot of wisdom and each has a positive affirmation to go along with it. You really can't go wrong with whatever card you choose. The box says "There are no negative or frightening cards or images". I appreciate this as I have been cautious when it comes to Tarot cards which I believe might be dangerous--although I really know little about them.
I have been quite amazed by the Fairy cards. I have used them many times now--yet I haven't even viewed all 44 cards. I have seen only the back design of many of them. I am literally choosing the same cards over and over again while at least half the cards I have yet to come across. This is synchronicity! It is no accident. It just can't mathematically be possible with the number of times I have used them. There is something guiding me in what I choose. I do hope it's the fae. These cards work, are helpful and lots of fun.

I have been an ardent fan of Doreen Virtue's Oracle Decks and have almost all of her decks in my collection. I have had the Healing with the Faeries Oracle Cards with me for some time now but only recently have started using them. As is always the case with Doreen's Oracle decks, the cards are beautifully illustrated, here you are treated to beautiful illustrations of faeries...some are illustrated in the classical tradition, and others are more abstract, but they are all beautiful! The The messages are uplifting and enlightening and I have always found an insightful message with every reading. Some critics complain that her decks tend to have the same repetitive message, I choose to see it more as emphasising some important points over and over again so that we may reap the most benefits out of the readings.I can't wait for Virtue's newest deck!
Lighter Oracle of Fairies.......2007-03-11
I own three decks of fairy oracle cards, this one being one of them.
This is probably the most lighthearted of the three. There are many pictures that are sugary sweet and really show the lighter side of fairies. For those who are a fan of fairies like Tinkerbell, this is the deck for you. The majority of the pictures are beautiful and the decks works very effectively in readings.
Now as I just said, this deck is very light-oriented. If you are looking for something that shows more of a variety of fairies, I would highly recommend Brian Froud's, "The Faeries' Oracle," which is also an excellent deck to work with. Also, both Doreen Virtue's and Brian Froud's cards work well with each other as they are both fairy oriented.
This deck is much like the Healing With the Angels Oracle Cards, only it is much more polished in the book and the picture selections are nicer.
I would reccomend these cards to anyone who likes fairies or Doreen Virtue's cards. This is also one of her easier decks to read in my opinion, so if you are a beginner, this deck is very good.

Nicely worded and inspirational booklet, but many of the cards are very dark in color. These cards aren't nearly as nice as Virtue's Archangel Oracle Cards or her Messages from Your Angels cards.

I enjoyed Janet Boyer's review of this deck which has my agreement fully.I have 3 Angel decks by Dr. Doreen Virtue with good purposes professionally.I use the Healing for normal reversed cards bail-outs;Saints/Angels for those who I sense need Saints also; and Archangels when I need to import more strength to the readings of 78 card decks. This includes my use in Angel Readings as well. I will digress a moment: A professional reader(our Supervisor)gave us our First Angel Reading from which the angels divinations came perfectly true in reality! I highly recommend Doreen Virtue's cards. I recently purchased my fourth set of Archangel Oracle cards. I kept one for myself and gave the other three as gifts. These cards are right to the point and correct. They have been a big help in my life, an answer to many prayers for me. I was first introduced to "Messages from My Angels", also a Doreen Virtue issue as a gift from my dear friend. It is amazing as to the messages, whether you are asking about what path to follow with a loved one you are having difficulty with or even an everyday question. These are a must have and they are so true to life! You will know your Angels are guiding you! I start out my day using these cards!

Beautiful artwork and lovely colors. Great for when you are going through a stressful time. I always seem to draw just the "right" card when I need a lift. I was insired to buy this deck after a very personal experience to which I will not go into detail. I've had had several problems prior to buying this deck, and while they have not all dissapeared, the emotional pain from them is not quite as bad since I've been using these cards.
Out of Doreen Virtue's 9 Decks of Oracle Cards that are currently published, I have eight. This deck is not the prettiest, nor does it have golden edges, or the most beautiful pictures. BUT, it is the most helpful by far for me.
For those who believe in angels and their role as gaurdians and helpers to the people on earth, this is a great deck. It always gives the right guidance needed, and even when you can't think of a question to ask, just shuffling the cards brings about a calming effect.
There are 15 Archangels featured in this deck, each angel with three cards. Every card has a differant picture of the angel as well as a general theme and a little message. In the book, there are additional inspiring messages as well as information about each angel, which helps in getting to know them better.
(Also, this deck works well with Doreen Virue's Angel Guidance Board, as that too centers itself on the Archangels.)

The minute I get the cards in my hands, even before opening the box, I felt a peaceful energy and love surrounding me. I did several readings since then and they where incredibly accurate.
The images are simple, lovely yet very deep. I got almost all my messages not from reading the text in the little book but simply looking at the cards themselves and their tittles. The text for every card is also gentle, wise and encouraging.
You can try a wonderful spread called Spirit Guides and Angels reading in 5 cards. There is one spread addressed to discover any blockages and how to heal the situation. I also like how Denise Linn guides you how to use this deck, connecting with the earth, then the heart, and your guides before asking your question.
If you're like me very sensitive, you should find these cards perfect to safely and clearly hear the messages of your soul.
I want to add that it's so easy to teach people to have a positive attitude when you have a good health, a supporting family and the job that you like. But Denise Linn knows what suffering is about and when she speaks to you, it's from her experience. (Read her book "If I can forgive so you can")

I have used many decks, and this one is now my favorite! The cards images and words are uplifting and positive, allowing for hope in even dark times of your life.
The booklet with the deck provides affirmative and empowering in-depth messages for each card, but the really great thing about the book is the information about the various ways you can use the cards in readings.

This is particularly true when doing several one-card readings about a situation that was bothering me--and one in which resolution was dependent upon other parties.
There were times, however, where the card selection provided solace and clarity.
In my opinion, this attractive deck may be better suited as a meditation, affirmation, or inspirational deck rather than an oracle. The Soul Coaching Oracle Cards would be especially good for healers and therapists to give to their clients for encouragement.

I have had my cards for about a year; recently I've been using them very often, and they are always able to tell me something I need to know that day. I also find it remarkable that I'll get the same cards repeatedly if they apply to an ongoing issue; there are also cards I've never drawn. I truly feel these are an excellent channel for the Goddess to speak through! They're very much worth having and using. I've given them to others as gifts. I also use them to teach my young daughter the Goddess in her many forms and cultural identities.

I got these cards hoping that I could use them as part of a Goddess Re-Awakening energetic healing treatment that I have been developing. I wanted an oracle of the Goddess that could help determine blockages and show how to move past them, and integrate the lessons. I'm so glad that I did, because they are exactly what I was hoping they would be, and so much more.
I haven't read alot of Doreen Virtue's work (though since enjoying this deck and the Ascended Masters deck so much I have purchased several), but found that I resonated with the cards immediately. I was thrilled to find that with the first reading I had extremely accurate results, with really accessible guidance for moving forward. I usually have to work with a deck for several weeks to really attune to it and the symbolism and get in-depth readings...but this one was fantastic right out of the box!
I also decided to use a suggestion from the accompanying booklet and use this deck with another oracle deck (I used the Ascended Masters one), drawing more cards and placing them underneath these and then reading vertically for each position to get extra insight. This was a fabulous method that I found opened up even more information and subtlety! I'm looking forward to choosing one more deck (I'm leaning towards the Archangels deck) to make a nice round 3 oracles to use in this manner. I encourage anyone to try this with Doreen's oracle cards.
The art was beautiful and often stunning, and the gilded edges of the cards are a lovely touch. I HIGHLY recommend this to ANYONE - Pagans, Ascensionists, Spiritual Seekers of all paths. It's amazing!
Love this deck!.......2007-06-28
This is my third set from Doreen and I truly love these cards! As an intuitive reader I use a variety of oracle cards. I was a bit nervous about buying these Goddess cards as I did not know much about them and thought (like others) I'd have a hard time receiving acurate information from them because of a lack of connection! To my surprise, all of my readings with them have been amazingly accurate on subjects about myself and others. They are also great to do a combined reading with Doreen's "Messages from Your Angel" oracle cards as well. These are great cards and I feel they will provide insight to anyone who asks them for help. The pictures are very nice to look at. There is a beautiful gold trim around each card which gives them a very rich look. They aren't as heavy as some of Doreen's other cards which makes them easier to shuffle and handle. The guidebook is helpful as well! Definately well worth the money!!!!!

I own this oracle cards since almost 2 years, and never was deceived in all this time. I use it almost every day and the guidance received is clear and accurate.
Each goddess has a unique energy and it feels like having 44 friends around me, each one speaking when needed. I own 7 decks from D. Virtue, but this one is different from her angel's oracles. I find more personal to receive a message from a specific goddess, revered since the old times, than from a beautiful angel that I can't name or see.
This oracle is especially useful for our mundane and everyday preoccupations. Hundred of times it changed my day and also helped me to go trough very difficult situations.

I found these runes to be an awesome prayer tool..... I'm not into a lot of the old "hoo-doo" touchey feely type stuff but this just works.... especially if like myself you have spiritual A.D.D. - my prayers usually consist of "dear God, I want to thank you for...... did I leave the iron on?..... AH CRAP!..... Dear God, I want to than...... I really liked that puppy... wasn't that a cute puppy that Marsha had for.... UUUGGGH! CRAP!......" ect.
They are what you make of them.... they're not magic or possessed.... you will just get back what you put into them.... read the directions/introduction and then do what works for you..... GREAT TOOL!
A piece of recent history.......2007-04-07
This book should be part of any collection for those interested in the recent (c 1980) revival of interest in the runes. It is still the highest selling rune book, but also one of the least researched.
When it was first published, the academic sources were not very available to the public, although they would have been available to Blum had he made the effort. Instead, he created a simple divination system, based more on his own readings of the I Ching than the known historical sources of runic knowledge.
There is a wealth of information in the old rune poems, and in the original futhark ordering of the runes. Blum ignores both. However, at least Blum never claimed to be reconstrucing an old system. On the other hand, unfortunately, most of his readers assume that there is some real historical content in the book.
For those who are looking for an esoteric book about runes based on the real available historical knowledge, this is certainly not it.

I have tried many modalities in the past from cards, numerology, astrology, etc. The Book of Runes actually speaks to me whenever I lay the stones out and open the book. The words have hit on my situation every time whether I lay out 1 stone or 3. This book, with the stones has helped me in making important decisions where my life is concerned. Doreen Virtue is aptly named - she is sweet earth angel whose work and words have helped thousands connect with their heavenly helpers. All of work is divinely inspired but this deck seems to take guidance to a whole new level. I talk to angels for a living and so I haven't used a deck in my sessions in years - until this one came along. It is so completely accurate that I often have clients choose a card after I finish sharing their angels' information with them and without exception the card validates the information we've just discussed. I use the deck personally to help validate my own assessments in my own life.

This oracle card set is really great. I have two of Doreen's card sets: This one and Messages from your Angels. This one however is far more accturate, and I find the readings very helpful. It's great to use in the morning, and by choosing one card to carry with you during the day, it's a good way of remembering your angels are watching over you, and the message they want you to have. I highly reconmend this set!

This I Ching was written under the guidance of the Sage that speaks through the I Ching oracle. It shows the Cosmos as a system of harmony, the principles of which are clearly described in its 64 hexagrams.
The purpose of consulting the oracle is to inquire, before an undertaking, whether you are in harmony with the Cosmic Way. When this is confirmed by the words "success," or "good fortune," whatever you do will be supported by the invisible helping forces of the Cosmos. Saturday, my daughter, Sasha Wittmann, LMP, wanted help making a decision about leaving her current work, which has depleted her energies and her joy, stressed her to the limit, and doesn't pay well enough.
Should she take a job she likes with the university with the possibility of either ending in two months because of funding or continuing for years? While in the new part-time position, she would continue taking steps towards a fully supporting massage practice.
She felt fear. If this new job ended in two or three months, how would she pay the mortgage, etc.? She wanted security. Which to choose - stay in hell or take the worrisome risk?

I love this ancient oracle, the I Ching. Over three decades ago, my beloved Suzanne introduced me to the Wilhelm version with the famous introduction by none other than Carl Jung. The Wilhelm version introduced me to Jung as well. Now, I hobnob with Jungians therapists. Who would have guessed?
Small suggestions lead to large life changes, yes.
You want to know what the I Ching is and what it can do for you, right?
The oldest written version of the I Ching dates to about 1000 BCE making it the most ancient written oracle you can have.
The subtitle of this new book declares the books deeper truth - this is the oracle of the Cosmic Way.
Other versions have translated the I Ching as the book of changes. Anthony and Moog make a distinction between change, which tends to be temporary, outer, and ego based vs. transformation, which is permanent, inner, and soul based.
This distinction alone would be enough for me to recommend the book. But as they say on late night infomercials, "Wait! There's more!"
Over the centuries, the I Ching has suffered from writers placing their own spin on the cosmic oracle. The worst offenders have been the Confucians. They see the world as a moral struggle against the evil animal nature of man. So the I Ching gets translated and interpreted from their moralistic viewpoint.
The Taoists, on the other hand, view the world as good and that man's animal nature is innocent. The problem you have arises when the ego - the grasping competitive mind -- attempts to subjugate the innocent nature.
Jimmy Carter's excellent but troubling book, Our Endangered Values: America's Moral Crisis, points to the same thing. Fundamentalism as practiced by the Christian right, the Islamic right, and others, suppresses women and fresh ideas. It concentrates power into the hands of a very few men - feudalism in a word.
The ladies have weeded out the feudal Confucian claptrap that interpenetrates every other version I have perused. They leave you with clarity and freedom. You can now have a very personal conversation between you, the authors, and the Sage. This is good. Yippee.

Complex subject made understandable.......2007-01-06
Carol Anthony has spent most of her life as a student/teacher of the I-Ching. Her ability to share in understandable language the many layers of this most complex and subtle way of being is fully illustrated in this volume. As an American I have struggled with seeing the inner and outer world from the perspective of an ancient culture steeped in seeing Life force in everything. Carol Anthony's body of work on this subject has supported my learning tremendously. I highly recommend any of her books on this subject.

The criticisms of the Oracle of the Cosmic Way expressed in reviews here unquestionably have validity. However, it may be wise to exercise caution in basing on these criticisms one's decision of whether to engage this version of the I Ching. The I Ching and the Sage are one being. The Sage will speak to each of us according to our understanding and desire to learn. It is the Sage who should ultimately guide any decision about the version of the I Ching with which to work in a process of serious study. Turn within and consult that ultimate Oracle for best guidance.
The Oracle of the Cosmic Way is a unique expression of the Sage that will speak profoundly to some students. If you hold these truths to be self-evident you may be one of those students:
1. There are two basic realities with which we must come to terms, that of the actual reality of the cosmic harmonies, and that of the parallel reality of the ego, which is not real at all but is the world most people at the current time operate in and out of. The I Ching guides us to relate effectively with both realities.
2. We are always connected with the cosmic harmonies through the aligned perception of our inner and outer senses, and through our inner truth which also connects us to the inner truth in each person. We need only to clear away the debris of the ego in our mind to allow that which always is to be.
3. The ego has become our mind through a programming process that took place in our childhoods. Its program is designed to be extremely difficult to permanently remove, but this difficulty is only from the perspective of the ego. The ego operates through the misuse of the word by human beings. This misuse, which is inevitable when one acts in and out of the parallel reality, can take the form of projections, spells, and poison arrows. The interaction of the ego with itself through all those engaged in the parallel reality nourishes it with their chi energy and perpetuates its illusion of existence.
4. The ego's tyranny can be stopped at any time, in any situation, by saying the "Inner No" to it. This engages the Helpers, manifestations of the cosmic harmonies, who are unlimited in number and each of whom will perform a particular function to dissolve the parallel reality operating in any situation for the person who calls upon them. They withdraw and wait unless and until called upon. That withdrawal is known as a "fate," and will end when it has run its allotted course, or when the person experiencing the fate has corrected the false seed phrases (misuse of the word through core phrases programmed into the unconscious) which caused the Helpers to withdraw.
In the Oracle of the Cosmic Way the Sage addresses, in a language that some students will find clear and profound, these truths and many others that are interwoven with them. It dismantles the edifice of ego that has over millennia become superimposed on the Sage's original transmission as the I Ching. It is completely worthwhile if one resonates to the truths it addresses and the language it uses. Find a copy, articulate a question living in your heart, open the book and see what happens!

This text gives us a new way of throwing the I Ching to get much more specific answers. Problem is, one of the great strengths of the I Ching is that is stays on the mythic realm of archetype and imagistic poetry from which one interprets one's answer. Once you try to ground that into the specifics of the mundane, you get into trouble. I tried using their technique and wound up getting very frightening predictions of impending, fatal events that (now years later) I can say with confidence didn't happen. The beauty of the I Ching is that it offers us a poetic archetype of where we are, that we then interpret. The more you remove the poetry, and the interpretation, the more you remove the spirit of the original. I agree with previous reviewer who said, there's wisdom here, but it's not the I Ching.

The best part about these cards for me is that boys and men aren't turned 0ff by them ! My five year old in particular is intrigued by them and then made his own animal deck by cutting out animals out of a book and gluing them on index cards and making up his own meaning for each one based on what he thought the animal was doing in the picture.
They are a great introduction to people turned off by oracle cards ! Who doesn't love animals and who doesn't have a special animal they have felt close to?
As I shuffle,. I can explain to my readee about spirits of animals, and they get into it ! I have actually had very good readings with these cards also, and sometimes my readee finds their own meaning in the cards they chose (even better for them !)
Another use for these cards is if I feel I need a particular animal with me, I pull out the card and place it where I can see it or carry it in my purse. And sometimes one of my kids will ask me which animal spirit will help them on something, a problem or project, and we pull a card or more and they like to hear about the animal "helpers" on the other side.
They almost always "fit". Like when my son was sick, he pulled the snake card, the healer.
My one com plaint is that I wish there were MORE than just 44 cards, and my personal totem or power animal wasn't in there, the Ostrich.
Every animal is important and has things to offer you. DOn't dismiss an animal just because it wasn't what you expected or wanted. If you leave your mind open you will realize that that animal was perfect for you, whether it be your personal power animal or just an animal spirit here to teach a lesson.
THis card deck was bought for fun to add to my oracle decks, but it led me to study more about animal spirits and I now have several books on them and journeying with animals.

This is an exceptionally well-done card deck. The cards are attractive and the messages are helpful, thought provoking and consistently right on track. I used them with a group of 10 friends and each of us selected the "perfect" card that gave us the exact message we neeeded in that moment. We were all struck by the power of the messages and how the message not only made sense and provided guidance but actually spoke to our souls as well. We were deeply touched by the experience and are committed to using the cards on a daily basis.
