Entertaining.......2003-06-10
This book contains hundreds of useless and fun trivia questions about the older (and some of they newer) Disney characters, films, shorts and attractions. From `Can you name Daisy Duck's three nieces' to `What was Mickey's Starland originally called when it opened in 1988', this book has enough easy trivia mixed within the very picky, unusual facts to keep any type of Disney fan entertained.
The book is also organised very well, with the index listing the character's name, the movie or the attraction. So, want to find questions on Peter Pan? Check out page 57. How about Walt Disney? Page 171 for you!
And of course trivia books are always interactive - one game I played with my little ones was to ask them the questions for a particular movie and then watch that movie so they could find the answers they missed.
Great fun for the family!
A Fun and Funny Book!.......2000-03-27

Customer Reviews:
An odd answer to, "Where does Blue want to go?".......2007-05-26
This was a clever book, but I found it a little unusual that the answer to, "Where does Blue want to go today?" is school. Usually if one asks their child where they want to go, it would be someplace fun, like mini-golf, bowling, the movies, etc.
great book for toddlers!.......2007-05-16
I bought this for my daughter who is 2 1/2 and she loves it! She reads it everyday and is still excited to find Blue hiding in various places throughout the book. Definitely worth buying!
Let's Play Blue's Clues.......2007-03-02
At 19 months, Jaylon absolutely LOVES this book. Anyone that enjoys the Blue's Clues series will find this book delightful as you play your own game of Blue's Clues. Magenta, Salt and Pepper, Pail and Shovel, they're all there. Even though this book has taken a beaten and some of the flaps are barely hanging in, this is an all time favorite.
Great book!.......2006-09-09
For those who care, this one features Steve. It's also very big.
Like all flap books, an adult should 'prep' the flaps before handing the book over. My 2-year-old son loves this book, although he has ripped out a couple of the flaps, and doesn't quite get the point of some. It also has some cues for adult participation: for example, when you open the flap with Blue's ball behind it, on the back of the flap it says "Now can you find Blue?" - although this is somewhat circular since the flap with Blue asks to find Blue's ball.
She could find this book if it were in Shri Lanka.......2003-10-06
This has been my 2 year old's favorite book since she was 10 months old. Seeing all her friends from Blue's Clues makes it interesting, and the colors are bold and the illustrations just like the show. The jillions of flaps are just what my curious girl needs. Many of the flaps are bent or missing now, but I plan to just buy a new one when it gets too beat up. It's a very large book though, can be hard to tote around when your on outings or trips.

$$Good Buy$$.......2006-11-12
I liked this book and the only reason that I didn't
rate it a 5 is because some of the phrases do not
make any sense. Most of them do though and that is
good. The book itself is fun and I use it every time
I have a yes or no question. It is suppossed answer
your question, which most of the time it does. You
would not want buy this book if you just wanted to
read it like a chapter book. This is more for reference.
I do like the quotes, and the design, and overall this
is a good buy in my opinion!
Reflects the answer allready inside you.......2005-12-22
This book is a really nice personal wisdom tool- if you can take a couple of quality minuets in your day & use it as instructed and seriously(without asking lite-hearted or stupid questions) it will give some pretty insightful replies for you to ponder on. I understand that Carol Bolt has also released "The Souls Book Of Answers" which answers more "open-ended" type questions(i.e. "what should I do about....."). This form of divination is relativly new to me, having studied the Tarot for several years, but I find it a refreshing break for using from time to time. The truth about all forms of divination(Tarot, Crystal Balls, Dice, Books, etc.) is that they are not "special" in themselves, but they help you to connect to the answer(s) deep within you. There are some fortunate individuals in this world who already possess highly developed "sixth senses", but for the rest of us there are tools like "The Movie Book Of Answers". Try it & find out for yourself.
What? I'm confused!.......2002-04-08
Either it didn't work for me, I'm stupid, or it's a piece of [junk]. Because when I asked it questions, I got stupid answers that no one would understand!
Think: The Magic 8 Ball but with Movie Quotes.......2002-02-01
"The Movie Book of Answers" compiled by Carol Bolt is pretty much a cross between Bartlett's Famous Quotations and The Magic 8 Ball. The process for using this volume is the same with which Virgil's epic poem "The Aeneid" was used in ancient times: you hold the book closed, take 10-15 seconds to concentrate on a closed-end question, stroke the edge of the pages (yes, that is in the instructions) and when you sense the time is right, you open the book and PRESTO the right answer will be there before you.
I have to tell you in all truth and honesty that Virgil worked a lot better for me than this volume. Maybe I am not stroking it the right way, who knows? I read Rebecca's review and of the great success she has had with this volume and I think "Will she like this review?" and I ask the book and it comes back with "Oh Yes, You Can...You Must" (Captain Von Trapp: "The Sound of Music"). I am so confused (Grandfather: "Moonstruck"--I am just quoting here, I do not know if it is really in this book). Maybe I am just under a curse. Did I mention that Virgil works really well for me? I tried it again: "Will Amazon.com edit this review?" and the books says, "[You] can never go back" (Narrator: "Rebecca"). Wait! There's a link! If only I was asking about Rebecca when I got the "Rebecca" quote.
Maybe I am just one off here by one. Wouldn't THAT be ironic?
Look, I happen to like The Magic 8 Ball and I like movie quotes, so this is a great combination in the tradition of peanut butter and chocolate. Maybe I am just under a curse. That would explain why I am having all these problems.
Favorite Movie Quotes with a New Twist.......2001-12-30
Carol is a multi-disciplinary artist who has a passion for quotes and incorporates words into her two-dimensional and sculptural works. She told me she was working on a third book and finally it has been published!
This one gives even better answers than the first two, to the point where I am starting to wonder if I am being watched when I ask the book a question. One time last week, I asked the book the same question three times! The book almost said: "I told you the answer the first time." The answers I kept getting for the first question finally concluded in me reading: "Anything you do could have serious repercussions on future events."
Talk about a warning!
The picture here at Amazon does not do this book justice. It is about two inches thick, the size of your hand, and is covered in a classic blue cover. The book feels good in your hands. If you saw it on a coffee table you would reach out for it intuitively.
To research this book, Carol had the immense challenge of deciding which movie quotes to include. I was pleased to see she included quotes from: It's a Wonderful Life, The Sound of Music, Casablanca and Gone with the Wind. Some other favorites include:
It sounds better in French. -Jerry Mulligan: An American in Paris
I've warned you fairly, don't change your course. -Faith Wishart: Ebb Tide
Make Time. -Frank Stark: Rebel Without a Cause
Yes, but don't hold that against me. -Peter Warne: It Happened One Night
My first introduction to Carol's books was: "The Book of Answers." It is a book of mystery and you are instantly intrigued when you see its unique size and the first thing you will think will be: "What is that book about?"
I was one of the last people to a book signing party. They were just putting the books away, when I became intrigued. I walked over and found the last Autographed copy...as if it was waiting for me. I opened the book and saw a few words on each page. What I didn't realize was that I had to ask a question first, and then open the book!
Fortunately Carol Bolt was there to save me and explained how the book worked. Carol Bolt is one of the nicest authors I have ever met. She is just as fun to talk to as her book is to read. She said that the idea for "The Book of Answers" came from the advice her parents gave to her while she was growing up. She told me it held "all the answers to her life."
As soon as I knew the secret of how to play with this new toy for my brain, I was laughing and told my husband we had to buy this book. Carol explained that her books have the intrigue of a magic eight ball, but unlike the magic ball, this book has so many more answers.
You supply all the questions, and then you can find one answer printed in capital letters on each page. The instructions are on the back of the cover on a removable sticker and are also in the front of the book. You place your hand on the cover, reflect on a question, and then when it feels right you open the book and read the answer.
In the first book: My husband asked: "Will I make more money at my new job." The answer: "In a year from now, it won't matter!"
Well, since then we have moved to an area where you can make the same amount of money and afford to live better.
So, how about that!
I can highly recommend all three of Carol's really fun books! They are great for parties and will have your guests intrigued in no time!
So what did it say when I asked: "Will everyone love this book?"
"Once you have found it never let it go." -Emile: South Pacific

HOW TO USE THE
SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS
ORACLE
1. Make sure you're on dry land. This book was not designed to be used underwater. (The pages get all soggy.)
2. Think of a yes/no question you need the answer to. If you already know the answer, there's really no point in asking the book.
3. Pick up the book, concentrating on your question. If you're already holding the book, you can skip this step.
4. Resist the urge to go jellyfishing.
5. Ask your question out loud, unless it's really embarrassing.
6. Rub your fingers along the edges of the book's pages until it feels right to stop.
7. STOP!
8. Open the book to the page you stopped at. Read what it says. That's the anwer to your question.
NOTE: Some pages let you know that the book wasn't quite ready to answer your question. Simply wait a little while (approximately the amount of time it takes to eat a Krabby Patty), then ask your question again, following the instructions above.
ANOTHER NOTE: Some answers are very clear. Some aren't. You may have to interpret the answers just as you interpret a fortune cookie.
ONE LAST NOTE: This book tastes nothing like a fortune cookie, so don't eat it, no matter what Patrick says.

(RAW Rating: 3.5) - Who do You Think You Are?.......2006-01-04
I remember loving the little quizzes that were commonly featured in popular teen magazines. As an adult, I must confess that I still will pull out a pen and complete those little relationship and personality quizzes and then analyze the results to determine whether I agree with them. In Deborah Gregory's book THE CHEETAH GIRLS QUIZ BOOK, fans of the Cheetah Girls will find a collection of all sorts of fun quizzes. Some of the quizzes are trivia questions about the Cheetah Girls; in these, fans can test their knowledge about the girls. In addition, quizzes like "What Kind of Friend are You?," and "Are You a Drama Queen?" allow readers to explore their own personality traits in a fun manner. Finally, in quizzes like "What's Your Star Style?," readers can answer questions about their personality traits in order to determine which Cheetah Girl they are most like.
While we all know these types of quizzes are not 100% accurate, they are still a lot of fun. And fans of the Cheetah Girls will especially love the trivia, and the comparisons with the characters found in some activities. The only reason I didn't rate this book higher, is because of its limited scope and it was a little repetitious. Diehard Cheetah Girl fans would probably rate this book a five, but if you are not at least familiar with them, then many of the quizzes will be either impossible to complete or uninteresting.

Not so bad, though not so overwhemingly good.......2005-08-26
I watch the cheetah girls for fun. I'm not so obsessed about them, but I saw this, and I know a lot about the cheetah girls and bought it for fun, too. BIG MISTAKE. It was all about style and fashion quizzes, and all were pretty much the same, be in the limelight of a group, the designer, the dancer or the singer. No fun there.
If you are into fun and friends and like fun illustrations with a good quiz, go for the QUIZ BOOK which they sell right here on Amazon. And they have 2 and 3 if you enjoy it. It's areal good book for sleepovers, hanging with your buddies, or just doing the quiz alone is fun too. The answers made me laugh out loud!!

Can you pass the Jedi trials? .......2005-06-05
The Revenge of the Sith "Trivia Quest" book will challenge what the young Jedi knows about the final Star Wars story. The questions and creative tests of knowledge are surprisingly difficult and detailed. This activity book is not intended for those who saw the movie once and therefore believe that they know all that there is about the story. A sample question is as follows: What is the name of the language that Wookies speak? a. Shyriiwook, b. Shuriiwooke, c. Shalliwood or d. Shorrellwook. If you didn't know the correct response off the top of your head, you may want to do your homework before attempting this Jedi trial. There are four versions out there, each featuring a different holographic cover that changes depending on the angle viewed. The Darth Vader image featured on Amazon changes from Anakin. Whether you're a Star Wars enthusiast who's 9 or 900, "Trivia Quest" is a quick and fun tool to test your knowledge of "Revenge of the Sith."

Ebert at his inimitable best.......2003-08-07
This is not a general book about movies, but a reprint of selected "Answer Man" columns. As such, though there is some useful information about film and production techniques and quite a lot on the furor over letterboxing, the most interesting parts of the book allow us to relieve specific moments in recent movie history, for instance, getting glimpses into the thought patterns of fans before, during, and after "Water World."
I would have liked a little more context to some of the columns; after all, some of the hot topics of 1996 are all but forgotten today. Also, I always thought of Ebert as an extreme political conservative, in opposition to his late partner, the liberal Gene Siskel. So how come he reprints hate letters from political conservatives?
Roger knows it all.......2002-08-29
A terrific book, both for Roger Ebert's crisp and witty writing, his knowledge of the subject, and the information about films and filmmaking. Drawn from Ebert's must-read "Ask the Movie Man" section of his annual Film Guide series and his newspaper/internet column. Highly recommended.
Waiting for the sequel.......2001-08-17
Quite informative and not at all simply a "bathroom read" as one reviewer here has opined. The book covers topics from A to Z (E.g. "Actors", "Fireballs", "Talking in the Movies"). However, if your particular interest is "Goofs", the basics are covered (E.g "Bloopers", "Boom mikes") but you'll find much more for specific movies at the Internet Movie Database (imdb.com). Another reviewer here states the index could be better. I agree. The index seems to be inconsistent, listing only some of the book's topics, but lots of movie titles and actors. For example, a question on the book jackets asks" Why don't movie actors wear seatbelts?". Good luck finding the answer easily. A handful of the movies chosen for inclusion may seem obscure, but this is still an entertaining book. And you'll also find out a little more about Ebert's way of thinking.
Enjoyable, quick read.......2000-06-21
I tore through this quick reader the same day it arrived (while staying home sick from work.) It put a smile on my face, and made me want to see or re-see a bunch of movies.
The book is pulled together bits of a newspaper Q&A style column, and therefore comes off overall a bit disjointed. I don't care for the somewhat arbitrary organization of the excerpts, but of course, I can't come up with a better way -- related Q&A's are grouped together under general categories (ie "Minnesotans and Mississippians" and "Injuries") and then the categories are alphabetized.
Dispite these problems, I enjoyed the book.
Entertaining, but ..........1999-09-26
I have always enjoyed Ebert's lucid and engaging writing. He answers questions on a wide range of topics of interest to movie buffs. As he freely admits, however, some of the questions were fabricated where he felt "the need comes upon me to answer a question I have not been asked." There seem to be a lot of questions from the same few characters, too, especially one Andy Ihnatko of Westwood, Mass. And as much as I like the book, I have some doubts about Mr. Ebert's scholarship. On page 61, he says that Japanese term for the bittersweet awareness of transient things is "nolo con aware," when in fact it is "mono no aware" (the Japanese don't even use "L" their language). Whenever I find I one factual error in a book, I start to wonder how many more are in it.

I thought I knew everything about Roswell--before I picked up this book! I was shocked at how much I didn't know. It's jam-packed with every little factoid possible.
UFO Research and Investigation: How much do you really know about the crash of '47? This section starts off with you as an FBI agent, being tested on how much you know about the crash, and the suspects living in Roswell. Better study hard, or you'll end up with a desk job!
The Real Investigation: More questions about the different characters. Are you as informed as Nasedo, or are you as in the dark as Kyle?
Friends, Lovers, and Enemies: Do you know what the terms Candygirl, Dreamgirl, and Stargazer refer to? If not, you'll be in trouble in this section!
Do You Remember When?: How good are you with dates? This section covers dates ranging from the UFO crash in 1947 to Liz's first diary entry.
Episode Highlights: If you missed any episodes from season 1, this chapter could be tough. It asks questions about each season 1 episode--fill in the blank!
Grand Total: This is the section where all your totals are calculated! Are you a True Believer, or just a Tourist? I didn't do very well the first time I took the quiz, but I've done better each time I've taken it. I'm definitely a True Believer! This book is a must-have for any Roswell obsessive! As an added bonus, there are also color photos of each main member of the season one cast.
