Customer Reviews:
Transformation Game.......2007-10-02
Excellent board game, very creative and really assertive. It helps you in your personal growth.
Innovation in noncompetitiveness.......2007-05-25
Finally a board game, that is not based on owerpowering/winning over/undercutting others. The whole game is based on generating more connection between players, on all levels of depth. Spiritual (some could say New Age-y or Buddhist) in setup, the game leads each player through being born, and existence in the physical, Emotional, Mental and Spiritual realms until the player (the first one or each) blasts out through the final transformation. All this happens not before everyone needs to answer questions, act under certain circumstances, make decisions and express support towards others participating. The game includes hundreds of cards accompanying the movements on the board and describing what needs to be done at each step. I really liked how the game also helped to integrate the different world-view and the newly learned insights into my life by encouraging to write them down or follow them up after the game. Both good and bad events in life are handled with a nonjudgmental atmosphere encouraging equanimity in life and in our choices, overseen and supported by angels of different quality from the included angel card deck.
Missing items leads to missing the game.......2007-05-22
When I received the game, I was excited and immediately wanted to play it.
However, my excitement was shortlived and turned to disappointment when I realised there were missing items hence I cannot play the game.
I emailed to the email address given but thus far have not received any response.
It'll be great if you could advise me on how I can have the missing items so that I can play the game.
Thank you
A customer.......2007-03-25
I purchased this game a month ago after hearing about it from a friend and have nothing but praise for the women that created it. I have played it both alone and with others and it never fails to show me the awareness, setbacks and insights for any focus that I may have. It is especially valuable being able to play with others for the wealth of interaction that happens with it. Just as with the experience of life itself, there can be pain, setbacks and depression but there is also blessings, miracles, enlightenment from angels and the other players as well as the opportunity for transformation. Every player's game is unique to them, there are no winners or losers. I make a point of recording all the results of my games to look back upon and will find that a lot of the same messages are being shown to me even by having different focuses. It is those repeated messages that I really need to focus on. I highly recommend this game to anyone who is willing to understand themselves for growth and self healing, as playing it will provide them with a very enlightening experience.
Everyone should get this!.......2007-03-25
This is a must-have for anyone with consciousness to move through this lifetime with ease and grace.

Book Description
Recorded history is a finely-woven magic fabric of intricate lies about events predating the sixteenth century. There is not a single piece of evidence that can be reliably and independently traced back earlier than the eleventh century. This book details events that are substantiated by hard facts and logic, and validated by new astronomical research and statistical analysis of ancient sources.

Calculations are only as good as your numbers.......2007-08-03
Yes, we can all agree that mainstream history is nearly 100% BS due to politics, economics, ego, problems with dating techniques, and various conspiracies. Agreed. But, I've been researching the distinct possibility that human history (in terms of civilizations) are much more ancient than we've been told, so coming across this book was very interesting to me. I wondered how Fomenko could be wrong (if at all) because he is very persuasive in his presentations. Then it dawned on me. If at previous times in prehistory, due to the various catastrophies that are well documented (comets, asteroids, planetary disruptions, plasma discharge, pole reversals, etc) the Earth was in a different position in relation to the sun, different tilt on its axis, different orbit, different rotation (in terms of velocity and DIRECTION), and the continents were in different positions, then would this not cause the ancients to see the sky (constellations) differently? In other words, is Fomenko making erronious assumptions about the physics of the Earth in pre-history, which then corrupt his data with regards to dating the relevant astrology? The last event to seriously disrupt our planet occured roughly 3500 years ago, according to other good researchers, so is it possible Fomenko has been confused by this? The vastly different physics of our planet in the not so distant past may explain this confusion, which is not to say the "mainstream" version of history is correct; on the contrary. I am not an expert in these fields, but wanted to see if this idea could spark discussion.
Pants on fire?.......2007-07-19
Will people ever read before spamming? Yes, Jesuits could not rewrite world history alone, they had help. Anyway, Dr Prof Acad A.Fomenko does not point to jesuits as the driving force of world wide history manipulation in published volumes 1,2,3;, actually he barely mentions the poor devils. Check it with 'Search inside' feature, please. China is rarely mentioned either, in fact, Dr Fomenko is completely eurocentric. Right, his theory contradicts all mainstream schools of history, because in their actual state they are all built on blatantly erroneus chronology. You don't need a mysterious cabal (conspiracy) to falsify history, the falsification is its modus operandi. It is inherent to history(ians) to falsify (distort) events, as it is inherent to humans to boast as it is inherent to power (authority) to legimize itself by referrring to glorious past made to its own order. Dr Prof Fomenko and team have identified scores of instances of such manipulation in Russian, European, etc.. history, and delivered valid statistical proof thereof. His own 'reconstruction' is completely another story. Forget c14 as a valid method of dating. W.Libby has initially discovered a brilliant method of INDEPENDENT dating. Too bad, c14 method has become a joke after a forced marrige with dendrochronology with consensual chronological scale inbuilt. Radiocarbon method can't stand blind tests, but is so very productive as a rubberstamp.
Accepted History & Chronology Must Be Changed. .......2007-04-09
There is no doubt that history as most know it is a sham, & institution's version of History both University & Church is fradulent & inaccurate. Everything was established with an agenda, The real "Dark Ages" are now when we have access to incredible amounts of information past authorities & more important 'common folk' didn't have but our institutions & educators are slow to evolve because of what has ignorantly & arrogantly been taught for too long. This is on many subjects not just Chronology.
For anyone to question "Why would a Mathematician have anything credible to say of History?" The answer is from Dr. Fomenko's preface in the book: "It would be worthwhile to remind the reader that in the XVI-XVII century Chronology was considered to be a subdivision of Mathematics." These volumes could possibly be some of the most important works to date & should be read by everyone with an interest in History, especially professors & educators who have a duty to the public. I have read both books & must say that 'Chronology 1' has some very eye opening & revolutionary information. Even if these volumes are part true the implications are profound & opens the doors to further investigations & questions which must be done. I speak several different lanquages & must say the logic Dr. Fomenko uses with "inflection" of words & words being read from left to right in one region & right to left in another then written backwards, the removal of vowels & get down to basics of words, or different cities & locations having the same name etc. is correct. Vowel usage has always been optional & varied, actually complicating linquistics & study. The first thing one has to understand is that words never had a fixed spelling in history like we do now, the spelling of words was mutable & regional, as well as names & titles of people were vast, varied & changed, NOTHING WAS FIXED or understood linear. Matters of Life & Death as well as financial profiteering yesterday & today were & are made with ignorant, illogical & conspiratorial views of history & reality, it's time people get closer to the Truth & society collectively grow up.
Very Interesting.......2007-03-07
It is a good proposal and I believe it will mature into something even better in the future. I think it deserves to be read.
History as Science Fiction.......2007-01-10
Anatoly Fomenko has written a very intriguing book, full of pictures, charts, and computer 'proof' of his thesis: backwards of AD900 we don't really know what happened or when. Between AD900 and AD1600 there is more certainty, but there is still a lot of fuzzy ground, and things don't get reliable until we get past the 1600's where the printing press made it very difficult for the perpetrators of this timeline manipulation to change anything that had been committed to print. The Dark Ages did not happen. Books were burned for a reason. One organization has doubled the actual length of its existence by expanding the real chronology. Read why.
I had always wondered why Christ died about AD33 and yet men waited until the 11th century to form the Knights Templar, the Cathars, etc and go after the Holy Land by force. Why the 1000 year gap? Turns out there wasn't more than a 10-12 year gap and he proves it using astronomy. This also implies that the planet is not as old as we have been told, and current Christian and other creationist scientists are already championing that idea without being aware of Fomenko's book. The two groups, creationist scientists and the Russian mathematical analysts corroborate each other. Fascinating.
Of course, all this flies in the face of what we have been told traditionally is the 'proper' chronology of western civilization, and most readers will experience 'cognitive dissonance' in reading this book. It means that our history going backwards from AD1600 becomes progressively more incorrect and unreliable until it cannot be trusted at all... in the space of 700-800 years.
Naturally, the curious, open-minded reader will want to know WHO did this, WHY, and did any of the events we think of as really ancient ever happen?
Dr. Fomenko is a respected scientist/mathematician at Moscow State University who has already answered these questions to the satisfaction of his initially skeptical colleagues. Most of them are now believers, a few still refuse to believe (the usual diehards), and of course the western press has ignored Fomenko's work -- for obvious reasons when you read the book. The ones who perpetrated this chronology ruse have a lot to answer for. They are still with us. That's why this book is a well-kept secret.
I gave the book a 4-star rating because I was unable to check out some of his claims; those I checked were as he said. But if even 1/3 of his claims are true, this punches a big hole in what we think is our history, the meaning of western civilization, our educational process (for repeating the ruse as gospel), and the trustworthiness of the organization that perpetrated this ruse, well-intentioned or not.
This book relates to current research into a Young Earth paradigm, to John Keel's discoveries about our planet, and Fr Malachi Martin's insights (in his now out-of-print books). We are indeed sheep who are manipulated and kept ignorant -- for a reason. While knowing what these men have to say may be the "booby prize" (as in: 'what can you do with this knowledge?'), it will provide interesting reading. Didn't someone say: "...and the Truth will set you free."?? For you to judge if this book contains the truth.

If you are looking for brainteasers..........2006-05-20
you will not find them in this book. It is not the kind of book you spend long times to figure out the answers. For example, for many pages in the first section, the author talks about "this sentence is wrong" type of paradoxes. I recommend "aha! Insight" if you are after brainteasers.
One of my favorite Martin Gardner books.......2006-03-11
Fascinating, informative, fun to read, etc., etc., this book contains short, one to two page entries on about eighty puzzles and paradoxes, divided into such categories as logic, probability, and time. Among my favorites is the vanishing leprechaun, a picture that sometimes has fourteen and other times has fifteen leprechauns in it: By switching two parts of the picture you can see a leprechaun vanish right in front of your eyes.
(Note: Another reviewer maintains that there is a mistake on the "Three-Shell Game" on p. 100. Actually, there isn't, since Gardner never states that the dealer gives the player the opportunity to switch.)
Gardner at his best, explaining the unexplainable.......2005-12-09
This is an ageless book for the people who love to think and do it well. A paradox is a situation where a supposedly valid chain of reasoning is performed and yet you end up with a conclusion that cannot be true. In many cases, the paradox is due to imprecise definitions of words or statements that are so broad in scope that they refer to themselves. For example, when a Cretan says, "All Cretans are liars." The scope of the sentence is so broad that it includes the sentence itself. Therefore, if the statement is true, the person saying it must be lying and if the statement is false, then the Cretan is telling the truth, which means that according to the statement he must be lying.
Many of the paradoxes are resolved by applying a simple analysis. Some of them are easily understood if presented in the appropriate context and no one does this better than Martin Gardner. He is truly unique in his ability to take a difficult mathematical concept and make it understandable. During his decades as the author of a regular mathematical column in Scientific American, he has done more to advance the progress of mathematics and science than anyone else in history. By turning so many young people on to mathematics, he is one of the intellectual grandfathers of hundreds of thousands of people.
This book is a delight and contains many problems that can be used in courses in mathematics, reasoning and philosophy. I strongly recommend it.
Contradiction or not?.......2001-06-11
Aha! Gotcha is filled with very different types of puzzles than aha! Insight, which has many problems to solve. This book just presents many fun paradoxes that make you use your head, and while some of them are problems you have to take some time to solve, most are short paradoxical situations that you can think about for a short while and then go on the next page. It is easy to read, and Gardner again shows his skill in explaining interesting phenomena in a clear and interesting way. All the problems are good exercises on logical thinking and introduces various concepts of mathematics and statistics without seeming like you're studying. It is insightful enough for adults, but I think children would be able to understand these concepts too if they are interested.
Aha! Gotcha:Puzzles that Delight and Inform.......2000-10-02
This amazingly useful book presents the concept of paradoxes in a comfortable, light format that makes it easily presentable to children in addition to the fun cartoon drawings that accompany every paradox. Simple explanations allow enough depth to encourage further explanation of the topic. In addition, it is helpful for writing reports about paradoxes.

Absolutely fabulous!.......1999-06-02
This book/playing card boxed set features the wonderful illustrations of Tony Meeuwissen and his witty visual interpretations of nursery rhymes of the British Isles. The book very cleverly creates a common thread between these ditties and then brings them all together, amazingly enough, in the playing cards. Incredibly well done, this book is part mystery, part history, part child's play, and is entirely worth the effort in finding it.

Book Description
The Solo and Earth-Solo Games are supplements to The Transformation Game. Now the game can be enjoyed in a solo setting or with the Earth as your partner. Package contains two game supplements. For use with Transformation Game only. For 1 player, ages 16 to adult.
Book Description
How do companies like Microsoft and Wal-Mart rise to the top of their industries and dominate year after year, while others like People Express and LA Gear burn out after promising starts? In Changing the Game, Eric Flamholtz and Yvonne Randle, two leading management consultants, reveal that the key to success lies in how you transform your organization. Virtually all organizations face critical transition points in their life cycle, when they must change how they play the game, or perish. Flamholtz and Randle focus here on three critical moments: the move from entrepreneurial to professional management, when a firm reaches a stage of growth where it can no longer operate in an informal, unstructured way; the revitalization of an established business that is losing ground to competitors; and a radical change in a business vision. The authors show, for instance, how American Century Investors made the transformation from a $50 million entrepreneurship to a professionally managed company with a market value of $2 billion; how IBM, one of the great American corporations, was forced by the proliferation of PCs in the 1980s to overhaul its business to survive; and how Starbucks Coffee, originally a Seattle coffee-bean store, was inspired by Milans romantic coffee bars to recreate itself and transformed an entire industry. The book concludes with a look at how one company--Bell Carter Olive Company--pulled together all the concepts and tools presented in the book and successfully changed the game. Changing the Game provides a comprehensive framework and a set of tools for the strategic management of organizational transformation. It will help managers meet the challenges of an increasingly competitive business environment.
Customer Reviews:
"Business is a game without an end"........2000-08-21
"In its broadest sense, a game involves procedures or strategies for gaining certain ends. The game of business is to use resources (people, money, ideas, equipment, and tools) to gain certain ends desired by the organization. For a corporation, the objectives of the game are to increase profitability and shareholder value...Whether it is recognized or not, all organizations operate under a 'game plan'. The 'organizational game plan' consists of the basic concept of the game being played as well as the fundamental strategy for playing the game...No matter what game an organization chooses to play or how it chooses to play it, there are certain periods in an organization's life when 'the game' (either the game itself or how it is played) needs to be changed. This occurs when there have been major changes in the economic environment, or some kind of revolution in technology or the nature of competition. It can also happen simply as the result of significant, rapid organizational growth...As used in this book, the phrase, 'changing the game' has a dual meaning. First, it refers to changes in the game being played by an organization. This involves changes in the business an organization is actually in. In addition, the phrase also refers to changes in the way the game is being played (i.e., how a firm operates). Both are major aspects of a business and both can require major transformations, either at different points or even at the same time. These transformations are the focus of this book and define what we mean by 'changing the game'...During the past few years, there has been increasing use of the terms 'transformation' and 'change' in business literature. Some people unfortunatelly use these terms synonymously. That is not the way we will use these terms in this book...Our focus in Changing the Game is on transformation rather than merely incremental changes" (pp.4-9).
In this context, Eric G. Flamholtz and Yvonne Randle:
* describe 'pure' types of transformations, including what they have termed Transformations of the First, Second, and Third Kinds:
1. Entrepreneurial transformations to professional management including the special case of family business transformations - First Kind (more detailed discussion and examples of this kind see Chapter 3).
2. Revitalization transformations of established companies - Second Kind (more detailed discussion and examples of this kind see Chapter 4).
3. Business vision transformations - Third Kind (more detailed discussion and examples of this kind see Chapters 5-6).
and note that actual organizations sometimes engage in compound transformations, consisting of more than one type of transformation simultaneously.
* present a framework that managers can use to understand and plan what must be done to build an organization with a high probability of long-term success, and examine four critical factors that influence the design of a successful business enterprise:
1. The 'business concept' that defines the business a company is in.
2. Six key 'building blocks' of organizational success.
3. The 'size' of the enterprise.
4. The 'environment' (markets, competition, and trends) in which the enterprise will exist.
* focus on the strategic transformational planning process in order to provide a tool for assisting in the process of managing transformations.
* examine how to design an organizational structure that will support a firm's transformation.
* examine the issues involved in transforming an organization's structure after a strategic transformational plan has been developed, and show that the choice of the form of organization to help implement a transformational plan is a strategic issue in itself.
* focus on the behavioral aspects of organizational transformations, and describe the important role leadership plays in not only helping to transform the behavior of individuals within an organization, but in changing the overall game that the organization is playing.
* discuss two additional, powerful tools -performance management systems and corporate culture management- that can be used to transform the behavior of all employees within an organization.
* present ten key lessons for Managing Transformations and Changing the Game.
Finally, they argue that "unlike chess and the NCAA basketball tournament, business is a game without an end. There is no national championship tournament for business. The game goes on and on. In a sense, a basketball program is like a business. A given team may win a championship one year, but there is always the next year and the next and the next, just as in business. As soon as one profitable year is completed, the next emerges. There is, however, one constant in the business game year after year: the need to understand the process of managing organizational transformations. Accordingly, the final lesson is: adapt and increase the probability of future success; or remain fixed in the existing paradigm and risk failure. The game is there for the taking".
I highly recommend.
Clear, crisp and practically powerfull tool........1999-10-12
Not only is this book written in a clear and crisp manner, but the tools described in the book are practical to use and the results easy to interpret.
Excellent help in creating a "map" to your objectives........1999-05-05
How do you begin to look at your business "on the horizon"? The company's management team must create a "map" which will lead the organization to it's objectives. Eric will ask you "by the way, do you know what your objectives are?" He really helps you clarify and organize. As Yogi Berra once said "If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going to get there"!
Excellent Book!.......1999-03-16
This book is extremely useful for general managers. It has had a profound impact on the way I think about organizations. As authors, Flamholtz and Randle are clear, logical, and practical. As professors, their years of experience as successful strategy consultants translated into one of the best classes I have taken during my MBA years. I highly recommend this book, and will buy it for my friends who are passionate about management.
This the book for managing the business!.......1998-10-20
It is one of the best books that I never read in my life. Well structured, clear, direct to the point. It is the perfect book if you are looking for frames in order to analyze your business. I strongly suggest to all the MBAs.
Book Description
What kind of universe is this anyway? Does life have any meaning or purpose? If there is a God, why did God create the universe? Whatever His-Her-Its motives (let us not sex-type the Creator) how could a loving God knowingly create a universe which is capable of the kind of cruelty we experience on this planet: death, concentration camps, slavery, child molesting, gossip, racism, illness, physical and mental disabilities, etc.? The Game of God makes the radical proposal that the universe is literally the game of God; that God created the universe in order to experience duality and limitation. The purpose of the universe is for God to enjoy the vast array of experiences that God, as an unlimited being, cannot experience: life and death, joy and pain, beginning and end, fear and hate, happiness and sorrow. In order to have a realistic experience of limitation, God must forget that She-He-It is God. The universe is, in fact, God in a self-induced state of amnesia. The universe is a game in which God forgets His-Her-Its identity and in the process of playing remembers who She-He-It is. Evolution is the process of God awakening from self-induced amnesia into the remembrance of His-Her-Its true identity. We are not separate creatures who are "victims" of existence. We are expressions of God experiencing limitation and overcoming it. We are God in disguise. Human suffering comes from the mistaken belief that who we really are is our personality, or ego. When we identify as ego, we must survive as that ego, which in this universe means operating from flight/fight behavior. Our lives are a constant battle for the survival of a mistaken identity. We are always either fighting reality or flighting from it. Love and transcendence lie in the cessation of survival behavior, in the acceptance of reality. Love is the experience of unconditional acceptance of what is. With a cartoon on every left-hand page illustrating the text on the right, these ideas are presented in a light and humorous manner. Tim Allen says, "If you really have your s*** together, read this book. (from the suggested reading in his book, I'm Not Really Here.)
Customer Reviews:
Everyone should read this book.......2007-03-28
Just like the title says. I know a couple of Catholics that I'd asked to read this, and they wondered if it were to be taken 'tongue-in-cheek'. No, it's a serious, enlightening book that is easy to comprehend. If you don't believe in God, no worries, it's a way to understand, a different view, and a life-altering tome ( for myself, anyway). Learn to Love.
This book should be mandatory reading for hard core atheists.......2004-12-10
I know that most of the ideas were not mentioned first time in this book, but I fell in love with it from the page one, anyway.
I had some difficulties to agree with it's ending, the after death experience as a proof of ego surviving death, jumping on incarnation as an easily acceptable concept. Being pumped up with the ideas from the beginning of the book, I was more inclined to think that we are eons away from getting that Humpty-Dumpty back into one piece again. But my hopes are greater than my worries...
Pretty Silly, But Mildly Amusing.......2003-12-23
At first I was amused by the premise of this book, but even though the print is large and there are plenty of illustrations (making it easy to finish the book before it gets really boring), I found it mostly pretty lame. I don't believe that God is the Universe or that He is involved in a silly game of forgetfulness with Himself. The author doesn't attempt to offer evidence for his notion, but the book is supposed to be light-hearted self-help fluff, not serious philosophy.
I'm sure plenty of New Agers like books like this, but if you're looking for inspiration, skip this foolishness and read the Bible.
Why We're Here.......2003-02-10
I'm a recovering Alcoholic, and also a recovering Mormon.
This book is the absolutely best book ever written explaining why we are here in the first place. I've given this book to many people in "AA", to help them grasp a concept of God that actually makes sence.
Thanks Arthur and Kathleen. I've met you both and your great people. I'm looking forward to your next book.
The Game of God.......2002-08-15
In a nutshell- the Game of God is the description of the entire creation of our universe in a brilliant, simple and hilarious nutshell. Nobody has been able to do it better than the authors of this book. I have hundreds of self-mastery and higher-consciousness books in my library and this one is on the top of my reading list. As a teacher and counselor I require everyone I work with to read this book, and read it well. It is the official book of my healing practice. There is no reason to complicate the truth behind our reality, as complex as it already seems. The Game of God has managed to hit the nail on the head and will keep you laughing all the way. Every other page of the book is a corresponding cartoon animating the well written script that has been arranged into word sculptures. This is by far my favorite book ever and 5 stars doesn't compare to the infinite stars I would give it if I could.
Book Description
There are two possible games to play in life—the scarcity game, that of empty, fearful living; or the prosperity game, that of possibility and boundless living—and this practical how-to book argues that readers can choose between the two. Most people ignore the opportunities inherent in every moment for the sake of an end goal or grand prize, an approach that denies them the growth, fun, and unlimited potential of the prosperity game. Arguing that nobody is destined to be poor and to struggle, no matter how difficult his or her past, this guide proposes that knowing that change is possible is the single tool needed to begin to alter the life game being played. Unique in bridging the fields of personal development and practical spirituality through both stories and exercises, this book ultimately helps the reader envision a possible world where there is more than enough, personally and globally, for everyone to meet their wants and needs.
