You Mean I'm Not Lazy, Stupid or Crazy?!: The Classic Self-Help Book for Adults with Attention Deficit Disorder.......2007-08-17
This is a must-have for people with ADHD or those who interact with an ADHD individual. I have gotten to understand myself better from reading this book, and I feel a sense of relief now that I know I am not "Lazy, Stupid or Crazy!" I actually had a hard time putting this book down, it was easy to read after a long day at work - I was surprised to find it so humorous and entertaining - something that I haven't found too often in a book of this sort. It is by far the best book on ADHD that I have read; I highly recommend it.
Excellent book on Adult ADHD.......2007-01-24

If you think you have it, or have been recently diagnosed, this book will give you a great deal of insight into the disorder, and offer loads of self-help advice. Written by two women who themselves have adult ADHD, they really know what they're talking about. Buy it today!
Finally it's mine!.......2007-01-23
I checked this book out from my local library and was amazed as I read it. They were talking about me! I checked it out again a year later and began rereading it. I saw so much more that time. I renewed it the maximum amount of times and had to return it. After I checked it out for the third time I got around to buying it. Now I can read again --- but this time make all kinds of notes in the margins. Thank you for a wonderful reference, a lifesaver for me.

Abundance Course, Release Technique and Going Clear.......2007-09-16
There are some people that figure they are going to read a book, once, and somehow get all that they can from it. I've witnessed those that have the same attitude towards other courses and learning experiences in their life.
Letting go of you mind and neurosis is just not going to be that simple a job. This book is very detailed, short and to the point. I also have the Abundance Course, and have spent over 100 hours working with it. My time investment in this type of practice is conservatively well over 3500 hours. It is not to be taken lightly, or that is exactly what you will get out of it.
The Biology of Emoitions, www.gocure.com, Frontal Lobes Supercharge, www.neilslade.com, and www.selfhelprecovery.com, are free and inexpensive resources that I recommend to get fully versed in the brain, neurosis, and methods to find your path to letting go.
Both the Release Technique and the Sedona Method sites have tons of free to inexpensive downloads to start one on the way to clearing the neurosis. These alone can account for at least a hundred hours of releasing, if one is willing to do the necessary work.
Both the Abundance Course and book, as well as the Sedona Method are based on the techniques and prior work of Lester Levenson. The Abundance Course is more body oriented. The Sedona Method, Hale Dwoskin/Lester Levenson, is more oriented to releasing from the neck up.
One has to learn how to feel the feel of releasing and letting go. They are just feelings, and are not you, so you can choose to let them to. The above mentioned resources can aid in getting the gut feel to this process, and use the Sedona or the Release Technique.
The real power to this is repetition, or the Repeat Technique, which is not mentioned in either of these methods. That means that you can release on an abuser, simply by repeating the name. One can get more from the releasing course, by repeating the phrases over and over, and/or repeating the recordings that lead you to release. It takes repetition to unlock the deeper charge on events in the life. It takes repetition to peal away and discharge, one by one, each event to the anchor or core at the beginning of the chain of events that are connected to each other.
This book is an excellent way to learn how to do this. It shows exactly how to take apart the mind on a piece by piece basis, and to start the tears to rolling that will discharge the neurosis. It is simple, yet it does take time and dedicated work.
If you don't plan on working, and spending a lot of time, then keep your apathy, grief, fear, lust, anger, and pride. Go read Tony Robins, and be motivated for a few minuets. Then go back to sleep.

Not abundant at all.......2007-09-03
Don't believe every review you see. They are written mostly for people that never reviewed anything else and during a very short period of time. Very fishy indeed... I have tried to read the book. An absolutely bore. Don't waste time and money in that. I also purchased the audio. Very good for sleeping. It's all hot air.
The Abundance Course: The Lazy Way to Riches, Health and Happiness.......2007-07-26
This book by Larry Crane is most valuable. Clearly written, it guides the reader to feel, accept, and release the blocks to abundance by totally allowing the feelings that are wanting to be accepted.
Thus, I practice giving myself 100% approval instead of mistreating myself by disapproving of whatever I am feeling and pushing the feelings back into my subconscious where they wreak havoc.
This is the roadmap to courageousness, acceptance, and finally, to peace. The practices still the mind as the feelings are allowed, embraced, and ultimately released, leaving me free. It is a simple, constant practice that works absolutely.
Spiritual Without Being Spiritual.......2007-06-01
I was skeptical about this at first, thinking it was just another New Agey "get in touch with your feelings" type of thing. I went beyond my doubts and discovered that the Abundance Course is right on. It's spiritual without being preachy or advocating any kind of religion. Basically, you're cleaning up your mental, emotional and spiritual garbage in an easy way, which allows more goodness to come to you.
In just a couple of weeks, I have seen huge changes manifest in my life since working with the Release Technique, from financial gains to improvements in relationships. Here's an example: One of the beginning goals was to manifest $100 or more by releasing only. Five days later, I received an unexpected check from an unexpected source for $113. That's just the beginning of what we can do by releasing. I intend to make this a lifetime practice and look forward to many gains on all levels as a result.
To me, the point of life is to be the best that I can be. The Release Technique taught in this book certainly provides a great tool to get on the right path. By releasing, you can attract abundance in ALL areas of life, whether it's spiritual enlightenment, quality friends, money, health, you name it.
At this point, I am convinced that any other abundance or self-improvement course is simply a detour to the final destination. Larry Crane's Abundance Course propels the serious reader along the straight and narrow path to goal achievement. Instead of dwelling on the "ifs," "buts," and "whys," enjoy your abundance today by learning and applying the Release Technique.
I recommend this to just about everyone I know, both online and off line, because results happen FAST -- and that's what we're all looking for!
Abundance review.......2007-05-25
I am extremely pleased with this book. I already have seen good changes and look forward to more.
Book Description
The magical friendship shared by Calvin and his stuffed tiger Hobbes has endeared them to millions of fans in their comic strip appearing in more than 800 newspapers and in millions of books. Now their friendship endures in a full-color collection of Sunday cartoons and original art done for the book, all fit for a lazy Sunday afternoon. Whether visiting other planets as Spaceman Spiff, transmogrifying into a dangerous dinosaur, or just hanging around with Hobbes, Calvin's adventures display a showcase for the masterful art of Bill Watterson. The enlarged format of full-color Sunday illustrations provides more room for all the action and imagination inherent in each Calvin and Hobbes enterprise. Readers will delight in pages enlivened with the bright color images of this precocious pair embroiled in all kinds of predicaments. Watterson engages readers of all ages with the seemingly endless imagination of Calvin, tempered by the more thoughtful Hobbes. The Calvin and Hobbes Lazy Sunday Book will provide many lazy Sunday afternoons of smiles and laughter.
Customer Reviews:
Calvin the imaginative.......2007-05-27
This collection takes place mostly in summer/fall and the theme is around lazy days and Sundays as well. My favourite panel in this collection is when Susie and Calvin are playing house and begins: S: "Darlinggg, I'm home! And I brought a surprise!" C: "Let's hope it's a divorce!" I still go off into spurts of laughter at that one... **LOL** Enjoy (in full page and full colour) the adventures of Spaceman Spiff to a max here. There is also a lot of "pouncing" which I thought would have been more appropriate in Homicidal Psycho Jungle Cat but....nevertheless 5 stars for a great strip that never gets tired!
THE BEST SUNDAY COMIC COLLECTION FROM WATTERSON.......2006-06-18
This collection is the best from Watterson. 5 stars. Calvin and Hobbes are great in this one.
Fun, Fun, Fun.......2006-02-07
What a treat, 126 large pages of Calvin and Hobbes comic strips in full-color. Having this book means being able to read and re-read your favorites. There are even a couple I'd like to frame and look at every day.
Bill Watterson does such a great job getting inside a kid's head and what a kid. Calvin's active imagination creates imaginary worlds, monsters under the bed, and bedevils his parents and Susie who lives down the street.
Hobbes comes alive when he's alone with Calvin, but reverts to a stuffed tiger when others are present. Their conversations are inventive, philosophical, and sometimes just silly. It's great fun!
My Very First Calvin and Hobbes Experience.......2005-01-20
Six years ago this book was my very first introduction to the world of Calvin and Hobbes. I had seen these comics in the newspapers, but for some reason had never really bothered to read them. Needless to say, this book changed all that.
Calvin is a 6-year-old with a rather imaginative mind. He spends his days imagining himself as a dinosaur, a human bug, a space hero or a superhero. Hobbes is his stuffed toy tiger, an imaginary friend (or so it seems...), who has a rather funny philosophical take on Calvin's doings. Other important characters include Calvin's mother and father, who sometimes have it tough trying to put up with their son, and the neighbour's girl Susie, one of Calvin's main "enemies".
Basically this book consists of various Sunday strips, each the length of one page. In the beginning of the book there's also a 10-page short story about Spaceman Spiff, one of Calvin's many alter egoes. No former experiense with the comics is needed to enjoy this book.
Calvin & Hobbes is definetly one of the funniest comics of all time. Along with the Far Side, Matt Groening's Life Is Hell and the French Asterix comics these books manage to make me giggle aloud every time I read them (which can be quite embarassing when you have company).
But the Calvin and Hobbes books are, I think, also somewhat more than just a good laugh. Mr Watterson has a wonderful ability of going inside a child's head and seeing the space monster in the neighbour's girl or the time machine in a cardboard box. His characters feel very real, and at times, remind you of your own childhood.
I guess that's why these books also have such a strange sadness to them, because always behind the corner there lurks the awful possibility that Calvin, too, will have to grow up someday.
I miss these guys so much.......2004-05-15
Calvin and Hobbes was by far one of the most creative comic strips of the 80s and 90s--right up there with Bloom County and The Far Side. As a matter of fact reading this brilliant trio was a daily ritual for me.
But there was a perverse sweetness (I can't explain what that means) to Calvin and Hobbes that the others lacked. This collection, THE LAZY SUNDAY BOOK, features many of the best. Each time a look through it, I laugh out loud like an idiot. The overall effect, however, is nostalgia. There's nothing as good out there now, and I miss my trinity of comic geniuses, but Calvin and Hobbes the most!

What A Title!.......2006-01-18
Can you think of a more compelling book title than this? How about the subtitle: How to do nothing and accomplish anything? Pretty strong stuff.
The author has built two multimillion dollar businesses, and brings that credibility to the table, but insists that he is lazy. Here are his three major premises:
* Success is inversely proportional to hard work.
* People who espouse the virtues of hard work publicly are doing a grave disservice to humanity because hard work is, in fact, counterproductive to success.
* The impulse to find ways of avoiding work drives all of civilization
* The deepest, most profound, most complete spiritual experience you can have is based on doing nothing. Absolutely nothing.
This book is irreverent (if you haven't figured that out yet), fun to read, full of great illustrations, and correct. It is the size of a coffee table book, and comes in at 215 pages. Buy yourself a copy for a great read and for a chance to re-examine some of your beliefs and principles. Read it and then put it on your coffee table or in your office. I guarantee with this title, it will stimulate conversation.
delightful, beautiful book.......2005-09-03
I invited Fred Grazton on my radio show to talk about his book. When it arrived it, the first thing I noticed was how different it is from the many books I receive as a radio show host.
First of all, it's a beautiful book, a high-quality coffee table-type book.
Secondly, the flow of the text and illustrations is gorgeous. I don't know how he and his editor managed it, but this book doesn't seem to contain any fluff or distractions or extraneous text. I had the feeling that every word was just right. It drew me in, kept me entertained, and challenged some of my long-held notions.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and the opportunity to interview Fred about it. (You can listen to the interview if you'd like). It's purely delightful, and has some very relevant applications not just to work, but to what's going on in the world today in terms of terrorism, Katrina, etc. I highly recommend it!
Insightful and useful knowledge for real life.......2004-10-02
This book was exhilarating! It explained that success comes from within, not from struggling with the world. This book explains how to find success by finding the source of infinite creativity and intelligence within you. When I finally found something I loved and was good at, I was so much more successful than when I tried to follow other people's ideas of how to succeed. And because I loved what I was doing and was good at it, it was easy!
Antidote to Work 'Ethic'.......2003-10-10
Fred's book is a much needed antidote to the crazy work 'ethic' that permeates most materialistic cultures today.
A feliticious combination of imagery and text, the design of the book makes abundantly clear the importance of having an aim in life, turning work into fun, making passionate commitments and trusting the inner compass to discover one's unique calling and happiness.
Personally the book is motivating me to transcend my own conditioning of doing 'busy work' as proof of my 'worth', and to have more time and space for contemplation of Life's depths.
A uniquely insightful self-help book.......2003-04-12
The Lazy Way To Success: How To Do Nothing And Accomplish Everything, is a uniquely insightful self-help book, illustrated with humorous caricatures, and which presents a very strong message -- frantically working yourself to fragments is not the way to success and happiness. Instead, self-improvement and self-enhancement arises from using our mind, from choosing carefully the work that needs to be done, from seeking solutions at a subtler level than the problem, and from avoiding the insanity of unnecessary work at all costs. Featuring a wisdom that is reminiscent of (and in some ways similar to) Taoism, The Lazy Way To Success is a very highly recommended self-help guide.
Book Description
Marc Allen admits he’s lazy. Not only that, but he considers it a key to his success. Here, he shows how anyone who is disorganized, inexperienced, overwhelmed, financially challenged, or just flat-out lazy can still create the life of their dreams. In the book’s short, inspiring introduction, Allen describes the system he devised on his 30th birthday that completely changed his life — a four-step system so simple to understand and easy to implement that it could be called revolutionary. In the following chapters, he details the importance of each of the four steps — dream, imagine, believe, create — and shows how to forge them into a blueprint for success. A final section includes tips for staying on — or getting back on — course. A quick, breezy read, the book uses centered bold type scattered throughout to ensure that even the laziest readers can grasp its essence in just a few minutes.

Type Z..what a concept.......2007-08-16
I have been following Marc Allen for a few years and if you are anything like me this book is going to get you thinking. Most of us not only grew up with the "being successful takes hard work" advice, we live the hard work part without gaining the concomitant successes. Marc Allen introduces us to the opposite of the "Type A workaholic personality" with the "Type Z personality-the laZy personality". The way he presents it and has more or less proven through a lifetime of Type Z success it seems to be not only doable but is also much more appealing than the way most of us have chosen to conduct our work lives.
This book is also a testament to his Type Z approach; there is very little information in this book that is not already covered in his previously published "The Millionaire Course". This book is a condensed version of that great book. "The Type Z Guide to Success" is a very quick read-about two and a half hours and full of very doable and usable Type Z approaches to business and life. Great read.
post script Oct 4, 2007
For an amazing type Z approach check out "The 4 hour Work Week" by Tim Ferris. It may just make your head spin. Great stuff.
Never disappointed by Marc Allen.......2007-01-04
I found this book to be as easy to read and useful as other Marc Allen books I've read (Visionary Business is excellent!) In keeping with the title, he even writes his book to accommodate your level of laziness. You can read the whole thing, or just take note of the key points in blue boxes. I have used just a few of his simple suggestions for affirming the life I desire and am already seeing results. This is a quick read and it's loaded with sound advice from someone who has the fulfilling lifestyle and success to support his ideas and plan.
Becoming Successful Without Stressing Yourself Out.......2006-12-14
I have told people that I am a Type-Z person for years, which the Z stands for Zzzzz, i.e. snoring. Most smile at my silly joke, and that makes me think of myself as a comedian, but I never think that someone would publish a book with such a title ;)
The book, The Type-Z Guide to Success: A Lazy Person's Manifesto to Wealth and Fulfillment, is a manifestation to the book's objective. True to the Type-Z philosophy, the book is short and sweet and to the point. The author, Marc Allen, claims that he is as lazy and unorganized as it comes. He does not work on Monday, and frequently sleep until past 11, which I can completely relate.
However, there is no doubt about Marc's success, and he attributes his success to his laziness and his focus, via using intentional manifestation. In the book he describe a simple and easy system that he has devised since he was 30 years old.
Now - intentional manifestation is not a new concept, but few people probably tie that together with laziness. The conventional wisdom is that in order to become successful, one would have to focus, and in order to achieve that focus, that basically means the focus will consume a person's life. An especially prevalent view about entrepreneur completely matches this description - they are exchanging life for financial and professional rewards.
From Marc's point of view, though, he believes that the true accomplishment does not come from the doing, but rather the thinking. When one is truly focused but maintain relaxed state, one would invoke the subconscious to help with the effort. Instead of just doing a bunch of stuffs, having the time and energy to think will allow us to focus on the truly important, and allow our subconscious to help show us the way.
Thus - it is important not to confuse lazy as unfocused - laziness along does not reduce our chance of being successful. Example - many computer people have a degree of laziness - after all, they rather think of better solutions than doing things manually ;)
I love the concept of having a short book. I believe that a book should be to the point and has no fillers. However, I did not find the interactive features that came with the eBook as being all that useful. Maybe this is because the interactive features actually interrupt my train of thought as I go through the book. I might try to re-read the book through again in the future and do the interactive feature separately to see if I feel differently.
Who will get benefit from this book?
If you are a Type-Z person like me, you will probably be rejoiced that someone else has given the affirmation that you too can be successful without having to change your lifestyle. Unless, of course, you want to.
However, I think the benefit really belongs to the Type-A people. The truth is that these days people are really just getting busy without getting things done, and many Type-A people fall into that trap. This book can help the Type-A people to rethink about whether they are really getting somewhere, or just having the appearance of getting busy, but nothing to show for it.
If you have not sat down and have a quality meal with a quality conversation with your family, significant other, or good friends lately, then you need this book.
You will find gems in it.
Excellent Approach to Achieving Success.......2006-08-06
I happened upon this book by chance and am so glad that I did. I've been beating myself up for a long time since I'm not a type A personality and felt that because I wasn't, success would be very difficult for me to achieve. Now, after reading this book and doing the exercises, my entire mindset has changed. Things are already starting to look up and I've started having some serendipitous moments just as Marc Allen describes will happen.
I highly recommend this book!

I am evertying in that title and the book is a good starting point for anyone who is like me
Not for those with a general idea on how to cook.......2006-01-05
I purchased this book from Amazon and received it today, and I am sending it back tomorrow. It is geared towards people who have NO IDEA how to cook, yet the recipes are for food that most college aged students wouldn't eat.
I was looking for a cook book that had general recipes as opposed to specific items (Italian, Spanish, etc) and was hoping a College Student Cookbook would be the best bet. Don't get me wrong this book does cover a wide area of foods but how many college students eat Bean Sprout Julienne?
The book does not have as many recipes as you would expect from a 98 page book. I would really only recommend this to someone who has no idea what they are doing in the kitchen.
Good college book!.......2005-07-16
This cookbook has humor, helpful tid bits, good recipes, and a good variety of recipes. It is worth the buy!
*Must read* when going off to college.......2005-01-24
I'm a freshman in college, and this book really made my first year cooking experiences easy and fun. I especially recommend the breakfast shakes (filling and delicious!), and if you're feeling extra adventurous, go for the meatballs. I made it for a group of friends, with a side of the mashed potatoes, and everyone was really impressed. Wash it all down with home-made chai tea (much better and cheaper than starbucks, believe me!), and you'll have a lot of people asking for seconds!
Good food and lots of laughs..........2003-08-31
This is a cute guide for college kids or new cooks; and while it might not turn every lazy college kid into a gourmet, it'll at least get them laughing and thinking about eating something other than Ramen noodles and cold pizza. I got it as a present just before my junior year, when I was moving off campus to an apartment, and I still use it from time to time.

Very cute, entertaining story. Nice pictures. Worth a lot more than the price paid!!
Great for younger children.......2006-08-28
I read this to my triplets that are 2 years old and they absolutely loved it. Each time I turned the page and they saw the big animals they tried to do the animal sounds and loved how I raised my voice and hit the book when the ladybug hopped onto different animals. I highly recommend this for younger kids.
My Infant's Favorite.......2005-04-02
I have been reading this to my daughter since she was 3 or 4 months old. She gets fussy if I try to read another book, but as soon as I start to read this one, she calms down and listens. I don't know if it is the story or the pictures. I am trying to find one that catches her attention as well as this one. Any ideas???
wow.......2004-10-22
this must be a great book it has good reviews and the author has the same name as me lol a must buy
Very nice to read and to hold!.......2003-06-14
The previous reviewers have already described the story very well so I won't add to that. I just want to describe the excellent way in which this book was built which is something you really can't tell from the Internet.
This book is of very excellent construction, is a very pleasing book to hold, should stand up to your kids' abuse and is an excellent addition to your collection. This book is like a giant board book. The book's dimensions are about 9"x11" so it's very significant which really helps bring the wonderful illustrations to life -- no squinting to see the pictures! Also, the pages are very thick -- like a board book -- except that the pages are several times bigger than a normal board book. The pages are also glossy and shiny so it's nice to hold and should also repel any liquids your kid spills on them. The illustrations are very cute and the colors are very vibrant, especially since the pages are so big.
Bottom line -- it's a beautiful book that will last for years.

There is supposed to be a companion Web site that is not available and no contact with the author seems to be available. Very frustrating. There is a companion guide that is out of print and is offered used on different Web sites for over $1,000. It's ridiculous.
My favoriate book to give away.......2003-04-03
I have had a copy of this book since 1995 and it has had an amazing effect in my life. Whenever I've had problems I've cracked this book open and gotten things moving ahead again! I've given many copies away to friends and family...no wonder over 3 million copies have sold! I'm a big fan of the lazy way!

Do Yourself A Favor! Get the Revised Lazy Man's Way.......2003-01-29
This book packs a double good punch!
The first is that it is the best personal growth-self help book I've ever read. Seriously. I am a self-help junkie with a large success library of self-help books and the Lazy Man Way to Riches Revised is my favorite by far!
Karbo and Nixon revised the original 70's "Lazy Man", which was great, into this true classic that works for today's world. It still has everyword of the original in it, but it also now has more up to date ideas and suggestions. Their style is simple and direct, easy to read and understand and it has tons of wonderful motivational quotes! Everyone loves a good quote!
Now here is the best thing about it ... it's easy to apply to my life so I can actually achieve the goals I set - not just read how to achieve them. Karbo and Nixon are like the wise old owls in the woods. Their wealth of experience and information about how to "get from where you are to where you want to be" has all been pulled together and put into this book. I have already made some long overdue changes needed in my life.
I'm on my 3rd reading and I find great new stuff each time I read it. It's highlighted in 3 different colors now .(Combined with the workbook that goes along with the "Lazy Man", I feel this is the best self help program ever because it helps me apply what I am learning..)
I really bought the book for the self-help part. I didn't even think about the second part of the book when I ordered it. I have to tell you - the second part of the book was a fantastic surprise. I am in sales and didn't think I had anything to learn, but I learned so much from the first part of the book I figured it wouldn't hurt to read the second half.
I'm glad I did because I learned alot from the second part of the book, which is really about direct response marketing. I don't do mail order, but I found the selling and marketing principles more helpful than any other sales or business book I've read. The part on ad writing is worth the price of the book alone. Much of the information in the second part of the book is dated, but the basic selling and marketing principles are timeless and work in today's world just as well. I am now using those principles to help build my Internet business!
Dreaming don't pay the bills........2002-12-28
The book was a fare read. After applying the strategies and adding some belief I expected some positive results. However, as is true of most books like this, it all resulted in nothing but a let down. The second part of the book is about starting a mail-order business from your kitchen table. That didn't work either, as it costs more time and money than was indicated. I guess this book was written when people lived simpler lives and a dollar was worth a dollar. The book probably sold very well by mail-order. I guess if you write your own book on mail-order and find a way to promote it so today's society will bite, you too could take the lazy man's way to riches. Lots of luck.

My New Favoriate Investing Book.......2007-03-31
I can't say enough good things about this book. I am a personal finance junkie and am really getting into watching my investments grow. I have finally found a book that suits me in every way. I love the idea of a good old lazy portfolio. It is what Warren Buffett has been doing for the last 50 years (Buy quality and hold forever). I have probably read about 40 books on personal finance and investing and this book is now number one on my list. I had a hard time putting this book down. It is very easy to understand for beginners and very motivational. If I could only own one book on investing, this would be it.
I get it!.......2007-03-05
What I got from this book is that investing the correct way is a long and very boring process. This guide breaks down the investing terminology so well that even the average joe can understand. Mr Farrell does a decent job at simplifying the process of investing.

Procrastinators Win With This Strategy.......2007-01-15
This was an excellent book. I have successfully used the strategies in my own investments throughout 2006. I have also applied the strategy to my 401k accounts. I enjoyed this book so much that I bought one for my son-in-law and another for my best friend as Christmas presents.
amusing, fluffy, not essential.......2006-02-23
I agree with reviewer "mthoran" on substance, although the book didn't raise my ire quite so much. It's an amusing, fluffy-light book, repetitious to a fault perhaps, but it does point the reader in the right directions.
Maybe the best recommendation is: don't buy the book, borrow it from the library or a friend, read it quickly (skimming a lot) and then move on to books with more substance.
At least it won't hurt you. There are many investing books that will.
If you're new to investing, avoid!!!.......2006-02-12
What is he talking about?! He assumes we all understand these "terms" already, without starting from the beginning. He starts off the intro telling us to sit and relax, enjoy this and that... 4 TIMES in a few pages. Then, he rips apart others who build up hype, which is exactly what he does. I'm glad this came from the library. This book was meant to be simple. It, like so many others, makes the reader feel stupid.

I bought this book a few year ago to learn some basic spanish very quickly. I LOVE it and still refer to it (even after finally taking some university classes)
Spanish classes confuse you? Look no further...GET THIS BOOK.......2000-09-07
I am currently a 23 year old college student. It has been quite a while since I have taken the 3 years of spanish in highschool. I am pursuing a BA degree so I am required to complete 2 years of a college-level foreign language. I would love to continue with Spanish, but because it has been so long, I believe I have become a bit rusty.I had originally tested into Spanish 201 on the college placement exam, although that was immediately after highschool graduation. So, here I am basically 'spanishless' and my school is telling me that if I want to pursue Spanish, then I have to start in 102, not 101. I attempted it, and withdrew eventually... So, here I was, on the prowl for anything I could lay my hands on to help me strengthen my Spanish, and voila...I stumbled across this book. I am so glad that I decided upon the purchase of this book compared to any others that exist. I've seen the others, but this is the only one I personally own, and it is THE BEST in my opinion. Whether you want to refresh your memory of such things as vocabulary or conjugation of verbs; or if you are just an enthusiastic beginner, I STRONGLY recommend this book! I even purchased a 2nd one for my grandmother, now does that tell ya anything? I LOVE THIS BOOK!
Hawson Shines as Brillian Teacher.......2000-01-10
S. Hawson's way of explaining Spanish grammar makes it easy for anyone to understand. If you only want to buy one book in order to speak proper Spanish, let this be it!
#1 in Spanish instruction.......1999-08-23
I have studied Spanish before, but it was very hard for me to put it all together. This book has helped me out so much! It has practice exercises that build on each other as you progress through the book and anybody can understand it. It also includes information on proper etiquette, spanish websites, and other spanish resources. Definately a must!
An Excellent book! Don't be fooled by the title. A must!.......1999-06-11
Learn Spanish the Lazy Way will teach you everything you need to know about Spanish without having to go through all the pain associated with other such textbooks. Well written, humorous, yet very informative, this little gem gives you great examples, hints and shortcuts, background information about the Spanish language, and shows you how to get the most out of the Spanish you already know. Pronunciation is simplified with a common-sense phonetic system based on concepts that are already familiar to English speakes. If you've always wanted to learn or improve your Spanish, Learn Spanish the Lazy Way is for you! A great gift for students, too!
