This is the kind of book that gives historical revisionists and truthseekers a bad name--specifically the "conspiracy nut" slur. While the author may or may not be sincere, a look at the cover is enough to give you a sense of how serious or not serious a presentation is contained within. Certainly there is much about history and society that we are routinely lied to about and historical facts that are suppressed so as to protect those with the power to pull the invisible strings fettering the world. This book documents much of that, but unfortunately delves into much disinformation and in the end will leave people confused--perhaps aware of several legitimate issues they had not known about before but also distracted by a series of unfounded claims muddying the waters. I put this in the same category as the works of David Icke, of reptilian shape-shifter fame...

William Cooper did an outstand job in writing this book. He has a wealth of knowledge that will assist the reader in researching other books that supports his claims.

Not a read for anyone who doesn't know or does know what others claim or wish to know. But if you read this book and it confirms what you did know or didn't know it may be worth the time reading. However, when you do buy this unknown known it will lead others to watch you over to see what else you know and what your planing to do with what you now know.....be careful buying it, the book will lead a cloud over you.

I really enjoyed this book. I read Dr. Greer's newer book Hidden Truth Forbidden Knowledge, and thought that was a good book too. The difference is that this book is more testimony and credible eye witness accounts. This was more entertaining and engaging than the other books by Dr. Greer. I honestly read though this book very quickly. If you had to choose between the two books I would choose this one first...then hit his other books. The reason I gave this 4 stars as opposed to 5 is that I really wish there was a follow-up to this material. The book was written in 2001 and there has been a lot of time since then. If I read this book in 2001, I would of gave it a 5. Although his newer book hits upon some "update" material, Hidden Truth Forbidden Knowledge is much more spiritual as opposed to disclosing real evidence like this book. Since it's 2007, I am left with questions like...so what's happened since then? I tried to check the website and it really isn't updated with new material. So a follow-up book to this would be great...or even an updated version. Overall...a very entertaining read and a must if you are even remotely interested in UFOs.
If you think there is no proof............2007-09-02
Steven Greer's book Disclosure should go a long way to convince most people that the government has ample evidence of UFO activity. This book shows us that we are like ostriches with our heads in the sand if we believe otherwise. It also, through the testimonies of many courageous and competent individuals, indicates why we are being kept in the dark. The fact that even as we pollute ourselves into oblivion that in some strata of government officialdom we have the technology for pollution-free energy, is therefore obscene.
Perhaps if enough people read this book, this situation will change.

I am higley impressed with this book. The documentation and sources that Dr. Greer uses is highley impressive. I enjoyed this book and would say its the best book out there on the UFO phenemonom. I bought his other book of Extraterrestrial Contact: The Evidence and Implications based upon recommendation from a friend and how much I like this book. Its the best source book out there and must for any UFO Seeker. A+++++++++++++++++++++++

The author of this book is a paranoid man with delusions of grandeur. Their books seem to spend more time talking about how amazing he is (making such claims as being able to levitate and summon ufo's on a whim) and doesn't actually give any real evidence. You are better off looking for interesting evidence with a google search, this book is not worth the money.

I have been to a Greer "training".......2007-05-05
Like this book, the training was full of fantasy and imagination. Unlike this book, it was not full of extra-terrestial experiences. Rather, for me, the training was full of social-psychological phenomena. Some would call it "group think."
Greer, a dominating personality fascinated as much with himself, his thoughts and imagination as he is with ETs, seems to have a core group of followers, a majority of whom are single women. They are his resident "experts" at these trainings and report seeing what Greer suggests they will see. (We call it "priming" the crowd.) The group dynamics are incredible! Some of these women observe with their eyes shut or tightly "squinting" and report what they have seen as reality -- always ETs or avatars, of course. Greer approves and calls them experienced observers. Others, who see nothing, are told to stick with it and as they believe and practice, they, too will see. (Sort of like, if you read enough, believe enough, you will see Jesus.)
If you like science fantasy, this book could be entertaining though frustrating because of the remarkably juvenile, repetitious writing style. If you want facts, go elsewhere.

Review of "Exterrestrial Contact" by Steven Greer, M.D........2007-02-18
Let's start with the bottom line: This book should be taken very seriously.
Preamble: There are certain philosophical and moral foundations for investigations of reality, whether conventional or "far out." 1. An investigation should attempt to gather all of the facts that are pertinent to the subject. Leaving out essential facts can lead to erroneous conclusions. 2. The anlaysis of facts and evidence should be as thorough, complete, and valid as humanly possible. 3. The investigators should hold to an attitude of perfect impartiality; any bias is scientifically immoral. Even more immoral is deliberate concealment and lying to support a hidden agenda. 4. Investigators must often exhibit considerable courage to face and overcome opposition from those who oppose new facts, concepts, and conclusions.
How does Dr. Greer's investigation stack up with these principles? 1. The investigation has been extremely thorough, with an enormous body of evidence gathered. 2. The analysis of this evidence seems to be carefully done and valid. 3. No bias is evident in the investigator. In constrast, Dr. Greer has uncovered not only bias, but deliberate obstruction of the truth among many of the individuals and agencies investigated. 4. Dr.Greer has displayed a great deal of courage in confronting opposition to his totally justified right to investigate an important phenomenon.
In my opinion, Dr. Greer has reached a correct conclusion that there exists a "shadow government" that is more powerful than the visible one, and which has the money and resources to control information and suppress new technology in support of its own goals.

As much as time they spent writing their negative reviews they could have perhaps written their own book. I have to thank Sitchen for writing this book because it was an incentive for me to research and validate what I read. I have enjoyed all of his books.
I can say that almost of the information he has given can be validated if one has the desire to know.
Sitchen introduced me to Ninhursag, the chief geneticist and the co-creator of the human body as we know it today. I did not say she created the mind or the spirit that inhabits the body. I just write she co-created the human body as we know it today.

This book was the start of a different thought process for me and Mr Sitchin "I THANK YOU SO MUCH" What a change in my life since I 1st read this book in 2002 and since I have read everything Sitchin and I must say I believe in what he writes.
An Interesting Theory..........2007-02-07
This book is interesting. The theory makes some sense, and I would like to see the material cited as "proof" backing up the theory.
A lot of the "pictures" are just drawings, which leaves room for questioning their authenticity. Being the skeptical believer I am, I really wish I had access to more reliable information that would confirm some of the things this book claims. It held my attention enough that I not only finished it, but also started to read the second book "The Stairway to Heaven" (which lost my attention after the first 20 or so pages... I'll get back to it at some point).
I do have to say, though, that towards the end I was a little turned off, mostly by the fact that:
- the book claims the 12th planet approaches Earth every 3,600 years
- the book uses its own interpretation of ancient texts to support its claim and says that ancient people described the periods when the planet approached Earth as times when the climate would go crazy due to the gravitational pull caused by this huge planet's proximity to Earth
- the book says the planet was near us at about 3,800 BC
- if the planet had come by us at about 3,800 BC, the actual last time the planet was near Earth was at about 200 BC, a time when such incredible event would have been clearly recorded by people, who had already developed pretty modern languages, and kept records of everything
- I never read anything from approximately 200 BC saying there were huge climatic changes on earth, big earthquakes, tsunamis, volcano eruptions, etc. around that time...
Another event that didn't make sense was that the writer tells the "gods" decided to let humanity perish by orbiting the planet in their spaceships while Earth was flooded by the deluge. The writer goes on to say that the aliens (gods) were crying in desperation in their ships because it was so horrible that earth was being destroyed and they regretted not saving men, and that they were starving in the ships because the food they brought wasn't enough.
Well, while the author says everything mentioned on the paragraph above, he also says that the 12th planet was near Earth when this happened. If they were starving and desperate, why didn't they just fly back to their planet? They could have come back in another 3,600 Earth-years (which, by the way, were just the same as one of their years) to check out how we were doing if they missed us too much.
On the other hand, it would make sense that such a messed up race (humans) would have come from such a messed up family of aliens. But, then again, we may just be making god to our own image, as usual...
All in all, it's an interesting theory for an interesting subject, definitely worth reading if you don't expect it to reveal all the secrets of the universe.

I liked the fact the author writes about the whole experience - positive and negative parts. It is important to hear about all of the experiences not only from the jovial side of it. Eventhough he conducted the experiment, he manages to stay objective in his writing.
The experiences sound amazing. Unfortunately not everybody is able to accept certain truths, this is why he carefully chose the participants. It's a shame he stopped his researches in that direction, eventhough I perfectly understand him. I would be discouraged faster than him.
20th Century Schizoid Man..........2007-08-21
Dr Strassman has indeed taken a giant step forward for mankind with his research. The psychedelic experience seems at once necessary and enlightening for the human race. Perhaps if everyone could experience an outer dimensional "trip" such as described in this book, we could put an end to the modern ethos of hatred and violence that surrounds us.
Researchers as opened minded as this are rare and deserve our support. If you are at all interested in the exploration of inner space, buy Dr Strassman's book - it's a modern day equivalent to the moon landing (if it ever really happened...)
The study of DMT must continue.......2007-07-22
The fact of the matter is, in the troubling world we find ourselves in - good news is very hard to come by. It is research such as this that becomes the candle in the dark, the light at the end of the dark tunnel we all traverse.
Rick Strassman's research is not only revolutionary, but it shows that science, unequivocally, must never leave spirituality at the front door - since spirituality may be far more scientific than we previously had thought. Without a doubt in my mind, this book has proven such a thing.
Yet, there are still many more questions that need to be answered. The ultimate being - are these experiences, creatures and invisible landscapes REAL? Are they more real than "channel normal"? The exciting thing about these questions is that they may be answered in our lifetime, IF the study of DMT is continued.
From what I understand, Rick Strassman's website speaks of a DMT Documentary that is currently in the making. I sincerely hope that this Documentary, upon release, arouses the curiosity of mainstream science and the general population.
Do I recommend this book? The answer is 100% YES. If you are not aware of the information within this book, you are intellectually naked.
With ever-increasing scientific knowledge, this generation as we know it could very well be catching up to what the mystics have been saying for aeons.

This book is incredible. IT sheds light on research done on psychedelics and goes into the history of psychedelic research. Very Interesting. A lot of interesting and mind expanding ideas and theories within.

I found this book to be self serving drivel. I threw it down in disgust after plowing through 140 pages waiting to obtain some useful insight. Instead, what I got was a way too fanciful style and content that is little more than blatent exhibitionism about how clever and wonderful is Dr. Wolf and his late family.

First, I will start by saying I am not the toughest critic. But this book was bad. It was very difficult to read and make sense of. Michael Wolf seems to be mentally delusional with no scientific basis whatsoever. I found it difficult to believe he was even a scientist of any kind. They say his background has never checked out and I do not find that surprising at all. I felt like this was a first person story written by a 10 year old in fantasylike, doom/gloom, paranoid world. Basically sounding schizophrenic almost. Save your money and buy "The Day After Roswell," now that book will provide more factual information you are probably looking for. Good Luck.
Worth the Effort.......2000-05-27
Having read a number of the glowing reviews, I began the book eagerly but bogged down in the 1st 30 pages with Rabbi Stone and all and was not sure it was worth it. I might have quit except that I had a dream in which Michael Wolf's son came to me and asked just what I was having trouble with in the book, expressing concern. I remember little more from the dream but it got my attention, and I determined to keep going. The beginning was difficult with so much stream of consciousness and jumping around in time. I also had difficulty following the physics lectures, and sorting out if this was just too far over my head, or it wasn't meant to be fully understood. My educational background is in biology, so when the rainforests came up, I could tell the writing was, in fact, just plain confusing, and could benefit from some additional editing, if clarity is a goal.
All said, the gems of information and insight into a multi-dimensional existence, and into government involvement were worth the effort. It is hard to believe this could be pure fiction, because it is so personal. And it is written by someone who seems to have firsthand experience of non-linear time, and of a greater existence beyond an earthly lifetime.
Here are some passages that struck me:
"This Trilogy is written only because I firmly believe that people have rights: They deserve to know! I do not seek forgiveness. I swear eternal hostility upon those who would rule the minds of men. In a so-called "free" society, the right to know must exist. If a man sees, hears, and feels, he cannot be told he did not see, he did not hear, he did not feel, for this is the 'Tyranny over the mind of man.' This tyranny must end...now."
"I am overwhelmed with the knowledge that the majority of global citizens are deliberately kept ignorant of what is happening, what has been happening since the beginning of human history."
Amen. Perhaps his story will help us toward hearings on government secrecy, with amnesty for government employees willing to talk.
I am grateful for the courage and effort it took to get this extraordinary book out. I hope Michael Wolf will stay with us a while longer, not meeting some untimely death, and that he will be able to complete the sequel his son hoped he would write. I also recommend John Mack's book, Passport to the Cosmos, a study of alien encounters which blew holes in my scientific materialist worldview and helped anchor the "Bigger Picture".

Dr. Wolf's book is an incredible mix of science, poetry, autobiography. He's an infinite source of information about UFO cover-up, also a scientist.

Fascinating account of abduction.......2007-10-03
This was a very interesting read. Sparks gives many details of his encounters with ETs including grays and reptilians. He was forced to learn some kind of language by these ETs who also claimed they own us!
He also had encounters with military people who were working with grays and using some kind of teleportation device on him.
Linda M. Howe and John Mack apparently found him to be credible. I read this book with a group and a skeptical member of the group was shocked to read an account that matched their own experience! Very interesting!

I am really so very tired of all the ignorant people who constantly ask: "If there are UFO's, why don't they show themselves in some irrefutable way, like hang out over the White House for a day?"
Firstly, can you imagine the scene? Most people are asleep and unenlightened. A UFO hanging over the White House would certainly seem threatening and would be completely and utterly life changing. Our ideas of who we are would change in an instant, especially for those whose ideas of life are founded in religion. This planet is not ready for such an event.
If there are aliens, obviously they've evolved in such a way that war and hatred are no longer a predominant focus in their lives. If they hadn't learned to get along, they would have destroyed themselves long ago. They are technoligically and spiritually evolved and obviously would not want to force themselves on a planet that is still in kindergarten in the Universe. We would revere them as Gods, and again, our planet is not ready for such an event.
For gosh sakes. The Universe is made up of, literally, MILLIONS of galaxies, like our own Milky Way. Are you really willing to declare that life on other planets could not have possibly evolved much in the way our planet has evolved? Isn't that a silly assumption? Are you the sort of person who would have jailed Galileo for stating that the earth is not the center of our galaxy? Or would you have laughed when it was said the earth was not flat? You think that a grand cover up could not have happened? Please! The Government would rather shrivel up and die than admit they've lied to us for more than fifty years about UFO's. Brazil just initiated their own UFO Investigation council. Mexico is not shy about reporting them and other countries have opened up their books on UFO'S. Sorry your country stinks in this manner, but then think of JFK. There has always been a lot of secrets in this country. Face up.

It very well may be. Einstein and friends all believed it, but who was he? Oh, probably the most intelligent man to ever walk the earth, but don't take his word for it. You must know better.
This book is interesting, but there's a lot of disinformation about the UFO experience. Personally, I don't believe in all this scary UFO crap---it seems to me another way to discredit this burgeoning reality. I'm skeptical of untoward and war-like aliens and if you don't believe me, read above.

I found this book one of the best alien abduction accounts I've ever read,although I'm afraid Mr.Sparks added a little of his own personal fantasy to it.I'm quite skeptical about the people from the future carrying wrong currencies and so on,this seems a little too far-fetched for me.

I discovered Zacharia Sitchen many years ago, and have been an avid follower ever since. When it came time for me to make my own journey into research and exploration, it was because authors like Sitchen had such a powerful impact on me, and on my beliefs;as on many others around the world. Delving into areas where science and the Bible run parallel,it boggles the mind. I highly recommend this, and all of Sitchen's books.

If you aren't familiar with the controversial theories of Zecharia Sitchin, I would recommend that you acquaint yourself with some or all of his previously published work, known collectively as the Earth Chronicles, before embarking on this personal tour of many of the ancient sites that inform his work. This is not to say that you have to be a fan of Sitchin - or even agree with his ideas - in order to appreciate The Earth Chronicles Expeditions: Journeys to the Mythical Past, however, for it is a unique travel guide featuring a large number of breathtaking images of some of the world's most ancient, venerated, and thought-provoking monuments and artifacts - you will find no less than 158 black-and-white images as well as 60 beautiful, full-color photographs in these pages. The magnificence of the images is without question; Sitchin's theories about the origin and meaning of the sites and materials, however, are not. I am not going to debate the merits of Sitchin's theories in this review. Having read most of Sitchin's published works, I personally find his account of earth's past fascinating, reasonably logical, and even plausible - certainly his ideas are worthy of thought and debate, although I would not go so far as to call myself a true believer (although I probably would qualify as a fan).
This particular book is primarily aimed at Sitchin's true believers and biggest fans, which makes the narrative somewhat problematic for those unfamiliar with Sitchin's work. Having argued the merits of his radical ideas in previous books, he tends to treat his theories as facts here - and, while some of the discoveries he made on the research tours discussed here shaped his original thinking, on occasion he seemed to go looking for things that would support conclusions he had already drawn. My main point about the text, though, is this: in this particular book, Sitchin makes statements that would seem incredulous to the uninitiated: to put it all in a hopelessly oversimplified nutshell, Sitchin believes that inhabitants of a "twelfth planet" in our solar system first arrived here on earth millennia ago, basically created human life via genetic engineering, and influenced the whole of human history in the form of gods. Nine previous books explain his theories and detail the evidence that led him to make his dramatic conclusions; this book covers his research tours and breathes new life into ancient sites - it does not attempt to rehash the complicated arguments Sitchin has already documented elsewhere.
Sitchin is an accomplished scholar who has studied ancient history and archaeology all across the globe; he has an almost unparalleled grasp of ancient languages, especially that of the Sumerians and other early cultures of the Middle East; and he is also an accomplished Biblical scholar. Through his study of diverse artifacts and writings, he believes that the ancient tales of the gods, as well as the events recorded in the Hebrew Bible, were all true - that the gods and goddesses of ancient history were real. The Earth Chronicles Expeditions is the equivalent of a virtual tour for his fans, taking them to some of the most significant sites all across the globe, from the Holy Land to Troy to Mesoamerica. Here, he describes what it is like to walk among ancient ruins, view fascinating artifacts thousands of years old, experience the history of long-dead peoples through fantastic murals that survive to this day, and marvel at the poignant power of religious sites such as the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.
A lot of the narrative describes the problems Sitchin faced in making these research tours possible. Political and religious conflicts in the Near East made travel arrangements to such places as Syria, Egypt, and Israel over the last few decades tricky at best, and the artifacts he most wished to see were not always available for public viewing - at least not without a little finagling on Sitchin's part, although his efforts were not always successful in getting him the access he wanted. The whole work is a little self-indulgent in places, and Sitchin sometimes sees things that I do not, but The Earth Chronicles Expeditions makes for a fascinating and visually incredible excursion through time for those interested in Sitchin's theories. This, unlike the author's previous books, is very much a personal account, and as such it features some information and ideas that Sitchin has been pondering for years but felt himself unable to include in his more scholarly works. That makes this a must-read for Earth Chronicles fans.

Fascinating book. I don't see ancient aliens the way Sitchin sees them. Not after reading the Ark of Millions of Years. They weren't merely explorers looking for a primitive race to feed them grapes all day. They had a mission. They came from somewhere, and they survived the flood of Noah by being off-world when it occurred. Then they returned and kept up their work, only with a much more resistant and noble race of man.
Read The Ark of Millions of Years to get the middle road story. The whole story.

I have had the honor and privilege of visiting Mayan sites with Mr. Sitchin and reading "The Earth Chronicles Expeditions" made me wish that I could have journeyed with him and his intrepid band of "fans" on all of them. This book is the next best thing and I treasure it and thank Mr. Sitchin for writing it. I, too, am an author and though, like Mr. Sitchin, I've devoted my life to my work and believe in its value with all my heart and soul, his work is far more important in the scheme of things than almost any books ever written. You cannot consider yourself an educated person without reading all of the books by Zecharia Sitchin and this is a great first book to read. Then try either "The 12th Planet" or "Genisis Revisited" and I know you'll be as eager to read all of them as I was. There is nothing like his work in all of the millions of books that have ever been published. I envy those reading and being astounded by his meticulously researched books for the first time. Enjoy!
New Fine Addition To Sitchin's collection.......2004-11-01
Like the twelve planet and when time began this one book is a beatifull addition to Sitchin's work.
There is still one book which Sitchin has failed to write and I hope he will do it soon before he gets too old.
The whole logic and moral behind Sitchin's work is "Are we Catchin up with the Past?"
In this he does a marvelous job in showing us how wrong all our history is and how it is comming ti temrs with the reality. From the visitation of Extraterrestrial beings so called gods by the ancients to the creationg of Homo Sapiens modern humans and the
technological advances.
But Sitchin ought to write one last book which uses all this past knowledge to Project a more probable Future for mankind. This way he will come around full circle and showed once and for all how Humans are cathhing up.
For example Humans were not given Technology such as agriculture until after the catastophic deludge. In a a way we are a point in which a new catastrophic event will occured whether it is a natural or man made the arrow of events certanly points in that direction.
So should we conclude that the increase of UFO sightings and manipulation of humans is indeed a preparation for the upcomming events and since as you all know OIL is problem is becoming apparent, New sources of energy will be shown or have been shown which will be used by the remants after the catastrophe?
Just as agriculture gave mankind a boost after the waters receded so will a new source of energy capable of taking man to the outter planets and the galaxy come true?
Will the ancient gods return one more time AS SAVIOURS to be worshiped in the Temples of the Future again?

Zecharia Sitchin's Earth Chronicles series is based on the premise that mythology is not physiologically based, psychologically metaphorical, or culturally allegorical but rather the repository of ancient memories, and that the Bible ought to be read as a historical scientific document. While the debate regarding the origins of myth is far from conclusive, and the dangers of assuming that the subjectivity of the reader/researcher will not intervene are obvious, Stitchin is an expert in ancient language and history. While the reader may scoff at his unfortunately characteristic long leaps of logic resulting in conclusions (such as that gods from outer space destroyed a spaceport on the Sinai Peninsula four millennia ago), he does present some compelling ideas not easily ignored. I do agree with many reviewers that Sitchin's work provides a "new" angle, and for many, a new vision, to understand the mythology and religius theories of "beginning", history and "end". His premises might have been "mind boggling" for many a readers. There are, off course, good reasons for that. However, his having convincing reasons to establish new concepts while exploring and explaining religius traditions and myths, he has not been able to even slightly touch the most important questions asked by most curious human minds in all known human history. I would like to mention a few of them here in most simplest terms:
1 . (Lets start with Questions on Sitchin's own theory). If
humans were created by terrestrial gods from some other part
of the Universe, then who is behind all this Universe? Why
should'nt we start probing the signs of the most Ultimate,
behind the veil? Why should we repeat the same mistake as
did by our ancesters, by assuming those Terrestrial Visitors
on our planet as "gods"?
2 . On "what" those terrestrial gods used to fight? Why they
created such an imperfect creature as man, to be used as
pawns in their game of chess? Why not a better warrior
force? Why not something, some "technology" superior
than "Iron" and "Nuclear" power?
3 . How much of this "Universe" is the creation of those
terrestrial gods? (As far as God or "gods" is concerned,
Creation does not mean molding raw material in to different
shapes- Creation means creating raw material and all
its "working principles" out of nothing.
4 . In case those 'gods' were also creation of some other
'creator'then who was that "Creator"?
5 . Where should this series of creators end?
6 . Whoever is "gods", why they want to be "Believed" in to them?
7 . Can man someday become another god for the beings "created"
by him at another planet? If yes!, but why?
8 . Should man demand from those inferior beings to worship him?
For what?
9 . Did those gods perform some experiment on this planet and
abandoned it when it went wrong? What went wrong? In case
the experiment is still on-going then what kind of
"gods" are those who did not know the results of their
experiment, already?
10. Do those "gods" fix destiny?
11. (Coming to traditional questions). What is Destiny?
12. Is it "all" happening in my mind or in God's/ gods' mind?
13. What is my experience, what is matter, what is time and
space??? What is Universe, anyway? Does it include my inner
universe? Who am I? Who "you" are? Do I exist? What is
Existance?
14. What is "Knowledge"? What is the "Source" of Knowledge? What
is "Wisdom"? Does "Wisdom" include "Knowledge" and
"Creativity"?
15 . (Little of Mysticism) What is "Alive" and what is "Dead"?
What is "Soul". What is "Spirit"? What is "ecstasy", "Awe",
"revelation", "Nirvana", "Divine Unity", so on and so forth.
I have full respect for all such attempts that endeavor to explain the questions of creation and existence. However when one explains the fundamental questions by the logic whose own fundamentals are questionable then the matters are not solved, rather become even more complicated. If we really recognize lesser gods playing "God" on this planet, then lets find the "One" who is "Real" "The Greatest", the "Unique". "None" exists like "Him". His wisdom has created all that exists, has existed and will exist. Our whole thinking process leads us to one exhausted conclusion, that there can not be many "gods" who created everything. Creators of replica or molders of genes can not be true god. Besides its bold logical analysis of Religion, Mythology and History, Sitichin's theory leads ones world view to Chaos, which causes deep disturbing pain to the Believers in the Sigular Diety. General human tendency is that we can not live with chaotic common sense and voids in logic. Whole human struggle revolves around "putting meaning in to Chaos". The only meaning that man has yet been able to put in this Chaos of life and Universe is to attribute it to a most Original Creator who is beyond all understanding of His creation. He created us such that, we are bound to understand, with certain premises and under fixed boundaries. (As Emanuel Kant puts it), It is meaningless to say whether "outside" world exists or not. By our existence we are bound to think in a pre-destined "Format" of thinking. We are bound to think through Logic, Time, Space, Matter, Events, Causality, Beginning (Creation), End, Creator, Destiny, etc. God has created us such that we can only and always think through these formats of thinking. We are innately bound to have a "Universe" around us. We are bound to have "Beginner", "Creator" for "Everything around and within us", including our innate process of thinking.
Wisdom starts where our logic ends. Wisdom is to accept with pure submission that my "logic" can not "grasp" the "Real One". All my faculties of reasoning are not capable to comprehend him. They are not equipped with such tools and format of thinking.
My "format" of thinking leads me to a blind, exhaustive conclusion that "There has to be Someone who is the Ultimate Originator of All This".
"Why" did he do it?
Do not expect an answer, because, "Why" is the part of my format of thinking but the answer to this "why" may not be understandable for my "format" of thinking.

To be honest, I have not yet starting reading this book. This is the 3rd book in the Earth Chronicle series. I am currently reading the second book and devoured the first book. The 12th Planet is the first book and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in ancient civilization and human culture, its art and deep historic meaning shed light where our current culture provides ignorant knowledge. Sitchin is classic within metaphysical circles and is essential in educating oneself about the 'Gods' and the truth concerning mythlogical origins on our planet. Sitchin's gift is his ability to analyse ancient text directly and logically and then take it to a much higher level than popular culture can even imagine.

I have read Sitchin's first work, the 12th planet, which lead me to this one. And it is an amazing read. Sitchin presents evidence one by one, tells you various stories and myths, and in light of the scientific knowledge we now have, provides the reader with a new "perhaps it was" explanation.

Mr. Sitchin has nothing to gain by espousing pseudoscience or pseudohistory. He would only stand to lose. Ancient History as a discipline has been proclaimed true to a great extent by proclamation that the "ancients"told us all. This is all well and good as a baseline. I have no quarrel with Herodotus or Tacitus.
Read the bibliographies in this series. These ARE NOT the idle ramblings of a 'crank". If you truly pay attention, you will see the obvious scholarly work that has been done. Only the intellectually insecure will be intimidated and resort to common mockery.
If nothing else, this should send you into deeper studies of the ancient Near East. You won't be sorry. This is thought provoking at the very least and definitely entertaining to the casual reader and the more imaginative history buffs.
Look at and think about civilization, pre-Egyptian, pre-Indus Valley(?) and you will learn quite a bit. Better yet, you will be driven to learn more by yourself!

Do not buy the mass market edition. Shame on Avon Publishing!!! The type is so small that it is virtually unreadable, and any graphics, maps or diagrams cannot be distinguished. Pay the extra money to buy the edition published for Earthlings, not for Lilliputians.
Most people will be drawn to the cheaper version offered by this on-line retailer, so shame on the on-line retailer for even carrying this edition. I am not exaggerating. The book is UNREADABLE.
