I read The Secrets of Attraction, by Sandra Anne Taylor and decided to attempt to put into practice what I had learned in theory using the wisdom of the law of magnetism, insights into universal laws and paradoxical intent.
I created some affirmations and re-directed some of my emotionally charged energy away from disappointment and toward my newly created goals, as well as creating a manifestation journal to document the results.
Well, I am pleasantly surprised.
My manifestation journal is becoming filled with new-found abundance and prosperity that I have been attracting into my life and I am well on my way to positive, progressive, life transformation.
A must read and highly recommended!

This book is terrific. Although Ms. Taylor offers many concepts that are offered in other self improvement books, her way of weaving together positive moral guidance and a system of ethics offers a fresh perspective that is very motivating, particularly in the way she ties in the concept of the universe giving us what we send it through our behavior and attitudes.

Sandra Taylor, a practicing psychologist, delves into the science of success with this well-written insight into the world of universal law and how it may be used to change your relationships, and improve the romance in your life. Laws such as the Law of Magnetism, Law of Attraction, and Law of Pure Desire have achieved a wide popularity recently,which seems to reflect our current rage for advice on how to succeed and achieve our goals. In my opinion, Taylor does a good job in this area, delivering a piece similar to the popular book "Shortcut to a Miracle," by Michael and Elizabeth Rann.
If you are interested in something more specifically geared towards financial success, you may want to try the classic "Richest Man in Babylon," by George Clason, or "The 17 Principles of Creating Wealth," by Phillip Collinsworth.

A way to change your heart forever.......2001-11-28
I find myself very inspired by the example of the Kadampa practitioners in this book, who managed to change their hearts through meditation. The meditation on equalizing self with others - recognizing that everyone equally wants to be happy and free from suffering - made a big difference to my life the moment I started to try and do it. The other meditations in the sequence are also enormously practical, as well as enormously effective. I've come to figure out from my own limited experience that it really must be possible to change your heart, for good. Kudos to Geshe Kelsang for being so accurate and precise in his instructions - something I have also noticed from the other books of his that I have read.

This is a very special book. I've read it cover to cover and tried to put some of the concepts and techniques into practice. To the extent that I can follow the suggestions my life has improved. I've read some of Geshe Kelsang's other books and they are all fantastic, but I have a certain affinity for this one. It's a real roadmap to psychological and spiritual health IMHO.

This book was a BIG surprise!.......2007-05-17
Let me begin by saying, this book is NOT what you think it is. At least it wasn't, for me. I was expecting to read a book on love-relationships, and got a book proving the existence of God and how the universe was formed. I couldn't put it down, but I had to read each chapter twice. If I were not in the work, I am in, which is ALL about energy, vibration, waves, oscillations, etc. I would probably never have finished it. I think the title is misleading, though I do understand why it was chosen. In the end, I can honestly say, I don't know many people who I could give this book to who would enjoy or even complete it, but for those who do, it's worth reading, especially if you are a "thinker" and have a spiritual consciousness. I understand God and the physical universe as I never did before, and I really appreciate the wisdom it imparted! This is not a book to give as a gift, unless your recipient loves science and physics!

Universal Laws Never Before Revealed is at the top
of my favorite book reading list. Both of these two
books (including this one here) is sooooo powerful
and so great, that words can't describe the greatness
enough. This is among the greatest books I have read
so far, and I have read hundreds of books. To appreciate
the quality and great content of this book would be
to read it and see for yourself. I am very thankful
to have found and read this book. This book changed

This Physics Of Love book is tremendously wonderful.
This is an excellent book. I highly recommend reading
this book. What it teaches it truly amazing. Universal
Laws Never Before Revealed is also equally as great as

Pseudoscience of the worst sort.................1998-11-22
To be fair to this book, I must admit I have not read the entire book in detail...though the reason is that I found the book unreadable. I borrowed the book from the library, as I was reading a number of texts dealing with the philisophical implications of quantum physics, but was dismayed to find this book is a hodge-podge of 19th century physics and 20th century 'new-age-rhetoric'. Perhaps an exerpt from the section dealing with colours will give a clue to the writing style: Red is the male force. This color is represented by C and C#. The male force is expansive, energetic, doing, building, expressive. Red is the color given Adam, the first materialized Man. This is the beginning point of material manifestation. Energy always manifests in a triangular fashion, i.e., a single source manifesting in a dual nature or way. Hence from this position the next color to be manifest is Blue or the female color. This has been eternally symbolized as Eve taken from the twelfth rib of Adam.

The authors discovered that a key to healing the fragmentation and unifying the psyche lies in a direct study of the life and teachings of Jesus. Though Jesus lived nearly 2000 years before Sigmund Freud and the giants of the twentieth-century psychology, he demonstrated that he understood the mind and emotions just as keenly as he understood the spirit of man. The authors gained these insights largely under the inspiration and teachings of Stylianos Atteshlis, a Cypriot mystic and healer who is best known simply as Daskalos, or teacher, in Greek.
Through his interpretation of Jesus' teachings, Daskalos showed that an understanding of personality can further this process of healing. The authors have found that this link is clarified and validated by the theories of Enneagram personality type and the structure of the energy body and its chakra centers.
These topics, as well as meditation and self-healing exercises are offered in Awakening Love to help the reader unite the human and divine natures in a heart of love.

Clonts and Demetry have truly written a masterpiece. This book connectes the elements of human existence and divine existence in a cohesive and universal manner that is both an interesting and informational read. The authors put dogma aside, and provide a great context for the indepth study of human nature through the context of those who have set the greatest examples in the past.
This book will help the reader on whatever path it is that they hope to follow - and helps the reader ask the right questions of their own life. A must read!

Awakening Love is an exceptional book which integrates the areas of psychology, medicine and spirituality. East and West truly meet in this book.
Awakening Love introduces Love as the power and the personality as the mechanism for transformation to reach one's soul expression. The personality is described through weaving information on the chakras, patterns of psychological wounding and directions for spiritual unfoldment. To illustrate the material, the personality and its patterns are described using the nine personality types of the enneagram. The nine personality types are clarified and deepened through the interpretation of Jesus' Teachings. Personality pitfalls and patterns of self-undoing are clearly explained as well as clear methods for personality integration and growth.
Meditation instruction is given for each of the nine personality types. Each meditation provides healing, personality integration and an infusion of soul awakening.

There is much valuable information here, packed in a small format. In the last few years, we have seen many books about psychotherapy and spirituality from a Buddhist perspective, such as Mark Epstein's "Thoughts without a thinker" and others. This book is about psychotherapy and spirituality from a Christian mystical perspective and should be of interest to many (including non-Christians, in the same way one does not have to be a Buddhist to be interested in Epstein's books). The authors present the Christ Self as a metaphor for the realized Self. My reading of the book has been slow at times, because there is much information and wonderful insights to absorb. I particularly enjoyed the ten meditations in Chapter 8--who does not want to "transform vices into virtues" for one's particular personality type?

This book is a masterpiece of concision and scholarly expertise. I cannot think of a single resource more valuable both for the modern single person out on the "dating scene" and for the serious relationship professional who wants to keep abreast of the current psychosexual mores in our culture. At the clinic where I work we stock the "Green Book" in our supply cabinet. One small quibble: I feel that the use of humor in this book, while it undeniably succeeds in creating a symphony of mirth that I literally could not put down, somewhat detracts from the sense of urgency that properly attaches to the American Dating Association's mission.

I'm ashamed to admit this, but I've now decided to adhere to all the regulations of the "Green Book." It really lays out a blueprint for how a REAL relationship should work. And I won't waste time with men who can't be bothered to follow these simple rules. After all, if they can't follow a set of regulations listed point by point in a book, how can I expect them to understand something as complicated as a woman?

Although Leibniz is universally regarded as the greatest German philosopher before Kant, his work as a political and moral philosopher is almost entirely neglected in the English-speaking world, where he is seen chiefly as a metaphysician, mathematical logician, and co-discoverer of calculus. Yet Leibniz' doctoral degree was in law and jurisprudence, and he served throughout his life as a judge and a diplomat; he was a valued political--legal adviser to Czar Peter the Great, to the King of Prussia in Berlin, and to the Holy Roman Emperor in Vienna. Patrick Riley recovers this crucial part of Leibniz' thought and activity.
For the first time--as we celebrate the 350th anniversary of Leibniz' birth--his political, moral, and legal thought are extensively discussed here in English. The text includes fragments of his work that have never before been translated. Riley shows that "justice as wise charity" has at least as much claim to be taken seriously as the familiar contractarian ideas of Hobbes and Locke. Since Leibniz was the greatest Platonist of early modernity, Riley argues, his version of Platonic idealism serves as the bridge from Plato himself to the greatest modern "critical" idealist, Kant. With Leibniz' Universal Jurisprudence we now have a fuller picture of one of the greatest general thinkers of the seventeenth century.
