Book Description
Recorded history is a finely-woven magic fabric of intricate lies about events predating the sixteenth century. There is not a single piece of evidence that can be reliably and independently traced back earlier than the eleventh century. This book details events that are substantiated by hard facts and logic, and validated by new astronomical research and statistical analysis of ancient sources.

Calculations are only as good as your numbers.......2007-08-03
Yes, we can all agree that mainstream history is nearly 100% BS due to politics, economics, ego, problems with dating techniques, and various conspiracies. Agreed. But, I've been researching the distinct possibility that human history (in terms of civilizations) are much more ancient than we've been told, so coming across this book was very interesting to me. I wondered how Fomenko could be wrong (if at all) because he is very persuasive in his presentations. Then it dawned on me. If at previous times in prehistory, due to the various catastrophies that are well documented (comets, asteroids, planetary disruptions, plasma discharge, pole reversals, etc) the Earth was in a different position in relation to the sun, different tilt on its axis, different orbit, different rotation (in terms of velocity and DIRECTION), and the continents were in different positions, then would this not cause the ancients to see the sky (constellations) differently? In other words, is Fomenko making erronious assumptions about the physics of the Earth in pre-history, which then corrupt his data with regards to dating the relevant astrology? The last event to seriously disrupt our planet occured roughly 3500 years ago, according to other good researchers, so is it possible Fomenko has been confused by this? The vastly different physics of our planet in the not so distant past may explain this confusion, which is not to say the "mainstream" version of history is correct; on the contrary. I am not an expert in these fields, but wanted to see if this idea could spark discussion.
Pants on fire?.......2007-07-19
Will people ever read before spamming? Yes, Jesuits could not rewrite world history alone, they had help. Anyway, Dr Prof Acad A.Fomenko does not point to jesuits as the driving force of world wide history manipulation in published volumes 1,2,3;, actually he barely mentions the poor devils. Check it with 'Search inside' feature, please. China is rarely mentioned either, in fact, Dr Fomenko is completely eurocentric. Right, his theory contradicts all mainstream schools of history, because in their actual state they are all built on blatantly erroneus chronology. You don't need a mysterious cabal (conspiracy) to falsify history, the falsification is its modus operandi. It is inherent to history(ians) to falsify (distort) events, as it is inherent to humans to boast as it is inherent to power (authority) to legimize itself by referrring to glorious past made to its own order. Dr Prof Fomenko and team have identified scores of instances of such manipulation in Russian, European, etc.. history, and delivered valid statistical proof thereof. His own 'reconstruction' is completely another story. Forget c14 as a valid method of dating. W.Libby has initially discovered a brilliant method of INDEPENDENT dating. Too bad, c14 method has become a joke after a forced marrige with dendrochronology with consensual chronological scale inbuilt. Radiocarbon method can't stand blind tests, but is so very productive as a rubberstamp.
Accepted History & Chronology Must Be Changed. .......2007-04-09
There is no doubt that history as most know it is a sham, & institution's version of History both University & Church is fradulent & inaccurate. Everything was established with an agenda, The real "Dark Ages" are now when we have access to incredible amounts of information past authorities & more important 'common folk' didn't have but our institutions & educators are slow to evolve because of what has ignorantly & arrogantly been taught for too long. This is on many subjects not just Chronology.
For anyone to question "Why would a Mathematician have anything credible to say of History?" The answer is from Dr. Fomenko's preface in the book: "It would be worthwhile to remind the reader that in the XVI-XVII century Chronology was considered to be a subdivision of Mathematics." These volumes could possibly be some of the most important works to date & should be read by everyone with an interest in History, especially professors & educators who have a duty to the public. I have read both books & must say that 'Chronology 1' has some very eye opening & revolutionary information. Even if these volumes are part true the implications are profound & opens the doors to further investigations & questions which must be done. I speak several different lanquages & must say the logic Dr. Fomenko uses with "inflection" of words & words being read from left to right in one region & right to left in another then written backwards, the removal of vowels & get down to basics of words, or different cities & locations having the same name etc. is correct. Vowel usage has always been optional & varied, actually complicating linquistics & study. The first thing one has to understand is that words never had a fixed spelling in history like we do now, the spelling of words was mutable & regional, as well as names & titles of people were vast, varied & changed, NOTHING WAS FIXED or understood linear. Matters of Life & Death as well as financial profiteering yesterday & today were & are made with ignorant, illogical & conspiratorial views of history & reality, it's time people get closer to the Truth & society collectively grow up.
Very Interesting.......2007-03-07
It is a good proposal and I believe it will mature into something even better in the future. I think it deserves to be read.
History as Science Fiction.......2007-01-10
Anatoly Fomenko has written a very intriguing book, full of pictures, charts, and computer 'proof' of his thesis: backwards of AD900 we don't really know what happened or when. Between AD900 and AD1600 there is more certainty, but there is still a lot of fuzzy ground, and things don't get reliable until we get past the 1600's where the printing press made it very difficult for the perpetrators of this timeline manipulation to change anything that had been committed to print. The Dark Ages did not happen. Books were burned for a reason. One organization has doubled the actual length of its existence by expanding the real chronology. Read why.
I had always wondered why Christ died about AD33 and yet men waited until the 11th century to form the Knights Templar, the Cathars, etc and go after the Holy Land by force. Why the 1000 year gap? Turns out there wasn't more than a 10-12 year gap and he proves it using astronomy. This also implies that the planet is not as old as we have been told, and current Christian and other creationist scientists are already championing that idea without being aware of Fomenko's book. The two groups, creationist scientists and the Russian mathematical analysts corroborate each other. Fascinating.
Of course, all this flies in the face of what we have been told traditionally is the 'proper' chronology of western civilization, and most readers will experience 'cognitive dissonance' in reading this book. It means that our history going backwards from AD1600 becomes progressively more incorrect and unreliable until it cannot be trusted at all... in the space of 700-800 years.
Naturally, the curious, open-minded reader will want to know WHO did this, WHY, and did any of the events we think of as really ancient ever happen?
Dr. Fomenko is a respected scientist/mathematician at Moscow State University who has already answered these questions to the satisfaction of his initially skeptical colleagues. Most of them are now believers, a few still refuse to believe (the usual diehards), and of course the western press has ignored Fomenko's work -- for obvious reasons when you read the book. The ones who perpetrated this chronology ruse have a lot to answer for. They are still with us. That's why this book is a well-kept secret.
I gave the book a 4-star rating because I was unable to check out some of his claims; those I checked were as he said. But if even 1/3 of his claims are true, this punches a big hole in what we think is our history, the meaning of western civilization, our educational process (for repeating the ruse as gospel), and the trustworthiness of the organization that perpetrated this ruse, well-intentioned or not.
This book relates to current research into a Young Earth paradigm, to John Keel's discoveries about our planet, and Fr Malachi Martin's insights (in his now out-of-print books). We are indeed sheep who are manipulated and kept ignorant -- for a reason. While knowing what these men have to say may be the "booby prize" (as in: 'what can you do with this knowledge?'), it will provide interesting reading. Didn't someone say: "...and the Truth will set you free."?? For you to judge if this book contains the truth.
Book Description
From Australia to Asia to Africa to Antarctica, the Cat in the Hat travels the globe in search of wild animal babies.
Customer Reviews:
Mostly good, last page very ill informed!.......2002-03-01
This is the latest addition to the Cat In the Hat Learning Library. We have all of this set and I highly recommend each of them, except this one.
I am a professional naturalist for the National Park Service and my five year old son just eats this stuff up. Unfortunately, after the Cat In The Hat spends the whole book rhyming delightfully about baby animals, he then suggests that you can turn your backyard into A "Wild baby daycare center" ("Your mother will not mind at all if you do.")
It is dangerous to children to suggest they handle wild baby animals, and usually a mistaken kindness (kids can and will find all kinds of orphans who usually aren't), and it is illegal in almost all states to keep native wildlife without a permit.
Bonnie Worth's facts are all fine, and her rhymes are devine, but she needs to check on her wildlife ethics. Perhaps they can change this in the next edition.

CAN THEY RESCUE? YES, THEY CAN!
Oh, no! Pilchard's in trouble when she climbs a tree and ends up dangling over a duck pond. Bob must come to her rescue, but no one knows where he is. Now it's up to Bird and Scoop to save the day!
Customer Reviews:
Scoop Saves the Day (Bob the Builder).......2007-01-23
Arrived very quickly and in good repair for a used product.
Very cute book! Great for talking about what happens after a storm.......2006-10-11
This book is quite cute. Basically, a storm blows through down, knocking down things, and the team has to gear up to rebuild the town. Bob goes one direction and part of the other team goes out to Farmer Pickle's farm to help clean up the pond. However, when Lofty tries to lift out a fallen tree, Pilchard was in it and the branch breaks, dangling her over the pond. Bird comes to the rescue and goes after Bob and Scoop to get Pilchard out of the tree. Scoop saves the day and rescues her and in the end, she's safely purring in the chair in Bob's living room.
This book is particularly good if you have a large storm and you have to explain what's going on in the news. It's sorta strange how we got this book the day we had a very large storm here and it made all the difference in explaining what was going on. Bob having to go out and repair a lot of problems really helped to explain all the trucks, etc. that were around fixing things. Highly recommend this book!
The Big Storm.......2005-07-20
A big storm rages through the night and causes lots of damage. Bob and Wendy get the calls and they head out fix things.
At farmer Pickle's, a couple of the trucks notice the pond has to be cleaned out. But before they can get started, Pilchard the cat climbs a shaky tree and gets stuck upside-down right over the pond. The trucks rally with Bird to find Bob and Wendy. But in the end all is well.
The book uses stills from the television show to illustrate the story. Each page has one picture that fills the whole page except the bottom where the text is. The text is a little clumsy. It reads like a transcript of the script with 'said Bob', 'said Muck', etc. stuck at the end of each line. But while a little clumsy to read the first time or two, the kids seem to really like it.

My name is Dores Pampers and I have read this book 100s of times.
I am 13, and it is one of the best books in the world. I love it so much, and you will, too!
My little man loves the BIG TRUCKS!!.......2002-10-04
There's not a lot I really have to comment about this book. It's a cute extension of the Bob videos. My 2 year old loves to watch the movies, and likewise loves to look through this book. Now granted, a two year old won't really take the time to let me actually read it to him at this point, but he loves to look at and point out what he calls the, "Big Trucks".
If your child loves the 'Bob' movies, they'll love thumbing through this book!
Customer Reviews:
Excellent Book.......2004-06-09
While all of the books in the Hilltop School series by Rosemary Wells are excellent, this book is exceptional. The message that parents always come back is delivered in a particularly effective manner. The book also shows how Yoko separates from her mother in an incremental process over which she has some level of control. A truly brilliant book.
Get your child ready for school.......2002-09-20
I've read a lot of 'first day of school' type books recently, getting my daughter prepared for preschool. I'd rate this as one of the better books we read, and if your child likes Yoko and the other kids in Wells' Hilltop School books, I strongly recommend it. What I like about the book is that it gently repeats the reassuring idea, that parents "will come back. They always do." Once Yoko accepts that, she's ready to be left at school by herself.

"Christmas can never go by without my remembering a certain little cat."So begins The Christmas Day Kitten, another true story from James Herriot's rich experience as a country vet. As always, the tale includes a vivid group of characters on two legs and four: Mrs. Pickering and her three stately Basset hounds, James himself, and Debbie, the self-possesed stray cat who makes a special contribution to Christmas at the Pickering house. This is one of James Herriot's own favorite stories, and it is sure to be one of yours.

Heartwarming and Beautiful.......2003-12-11
My teacher read this to our class when I was only 6-years-old, and I had to run out that weekend and purchase it for my very own book collection. Now, 12 years later, I still pull this book out all of the time to look at some of the most gorgeous illustrations to ever be printed in a children's book, and to read the story of the little Christmas Day Kitten. A must-have book for all, as the beauty of it will warm the heart of everyone in your family for years and years to come.

A good book for a long, hard day........2000-12-22
This book is the epitamy of heartwarming. After all the sad, depressing things that happen in today's world, this book (and all of James Herriot's stories) makes you feel a lot better. Perfect for kids, this book will warm the souls of everyone.
Even though I haven't read this book since I was younger, I remember it as having a perfect happy ending. Even if you don't buy it, you should at least go to the library and check it out. You might like it enough to buy it anyways :)
Heartwarming Story.......1999-12-04
Not having been familiar with the work of James Herriot before this book, I was happily surprised when I read this to my little cat-loving daughter this christmas season. This is a touching story which brought us both to tears, but gave a joyful smile as we reached the end of the story. Truly a story to be shared with every child at christmas!
Irresistable!.......1999-11-19
This picture book, although written for children, can be enjoyed by people of all ages, especially cat lovers! James Harriot has a style of story-telling that draws you in and doesn't let you go until you've finished the story. This story is just a small sampling of the many wonderful vet stories that Harriot has to tell.

Interesting and occasionally profound.......2005-01-12
Overall, this book is a collection of essays having something to do with the environment and the Church of Jesus Christ (Mormon). If you're not Mormon you won't get a lot of the allusions to religion. However, there are plenty of essays mostly on environment or how family, community, and spirituality are tied up with environment.
Some of the essays are from critics of the Mormon church and some may be put off by these essays. Many of the essays are from Mormon authorities like Vaughn Featherstone or High Pinnock. Quite a few Utah politicians write about environment also.
The essays are quite uneven. Some are deeply intellectual;others are emotional. A few times I finished and essay and wondered what I had just read. But usually I finished an essay with a greater appreciation of this beautiful world we live in.
If I had to give a theme to this book it would be stewardship - that is, the idea that God gave us this beautiful world to care for and not to destroy and abuse. And as I watch the Utah I knew and loved turn into tract housing and fill with cars and people and smog, I think that many of us are not being wise stewards.
One criticism would be not including any conservative viewpoints. Congressman Hansen or Bishop ought to be in here. And writers who live on the land like ranchers, miners and the like. They too have a land ethic and excluding them so completely leaves a large gap.
In general, I commend the editors Terry Williams (Author of Refuge), William Smart (former Deseret News editor), and publisher Gibbs Smith.
Spend your money on environmental writing with substance........2000-04-21
Mediocre, with a few moments of good writing, but the entire theme is contrived. Spend your money on real environmental writing, for example Paul Shepard and Jerry Mander.
Thought provoking and spiritually stimulating. For anyone........1999-03-07
Although the contributors to this book are all Mormons the plea they make is universal. Our ties to God's creations are real. We derive emotional and spiritual strength from them. The earth is given to us as a stewardship from God, to use, but also to protect and "replenish". The contributors cite personal examples to explain their interpretation of this "stewardship." I recommend this book!

Sorry to be the naysayer here, but this book -- while chock full of cute kitty watercolors (which is the sole strength of the book), has an extremely threadbare story. So, it teaches the days of the week? Whoop-de-do! Stop the presses, because an author came up with the novel idea of teaching the days of the week via a children's story!
While Cookie the Kitty is mischievous, and honors the shabbos, he is not very creative in how he wrecks the house. One gets the idea that the author never owned a cat before. No shredding toilet paper, no kitty litter and turds all over the laundry room floor, no hairballs under the dining room table, no clawed up la-z-boy upholstery.
What a POLITE kitty!
charming simple story.......2006-02-19
This tale about a kitten's misadventures delightfully brings one through the days of the week with simple text that preschool age children will quickly identify with. dePaoloa's pictures are an excellent match to the text. Those of us raised in a culture where the Genesis creation story is prevalent will quickly recognize the humor of Cookie's lack of a rest day.
The only thing that disappointed me was the size of the book, believe it or not. It measures approximately 7 x 7 inches which makes it slightly smaller than I would wish for when reading to a large group of preschoolers. For snugglier situations such as a bedtime story this would not be an issue.
Cats, kids and Tomi.......2005-10-24
Anyone who loves cats, kids or Tomie dePaolo will love this book.
A charming tale about a mischievous and playful cat.......2005-09-02
The first time I read this to my son, he started rolling around the bed laughing. He just loves Cookie and the messes that this impish kitty makes. Except for falling into the toilet, I have had a cat do ALL of these things. And my son has done many of them too. He still giggles and laughs whenever I read to him about Cookie's exploits.
Still like..........2005-08-31
When I was a young child my mom always read this book to me before bed time. I've always liked it because Cookie always got in a big mess of trouble for a week. It feels like I grew up on this book and life is similiar. Still this is my favorite book to share with others. It sticks in the childs head from the moderate tone the author uses and the humor that Cookie goes thru for the entire week of insanity.
Book Description
A gift book with humor and heart
The one thing Dolores is absolutely NOT supposed to do is touch her big sister Faye’s things. But when Faye hides a mysterious heart-shaped box, Dolores can’t stop herself from peeking inside. What she discovers is irresistible – a singing froggie Valentine’s Day necklace! What would happen if she just “borrows” it for a day? Trouble! For when the necklace disappears, Dolores must go to hilarious extremes to make things right with Faye, even enlisting the help of her long suffering cat, Duncan.
Witty text and droll pictures full of funny details give readers much to laugh at as the irrepressible Dolores learns that in matters of the heart it’s important to give as well as take.
