Book Description

Recorded history is a finely-woven magic fabric of intricate lies about events predating the sixteenth century. There is not a single piece of evidence that can be reliably and independently traced back earlier than the eleventh century. This book details events that are substantiated by hard facts and logic, and validated by new astronomical research and statistical analysis of ancient sources.

Yes, we can all agree that mainstream history is nearly 100% BS due to politics, economics, ego, problems with dating techniques, and various conspiracies. Agreed. But, I've been researching the distinct possibility that human history (in terms of civilizations) are much more ancient than we've been told, so coming across this book was very interesting to me. I wondered how Fomenko could be wrong (if at all) because he is very persuasive in his presentations. Then it dawned on me. If at previous times in prehistory, due to the various catastrophies that are well documented (comets, asteroids, planetary disruptions, plasma discharge, pole reversals, etc) the Earth was in a different position in relation to the sun, different tilt on its axis, different orbit, different rotation (in terms of velocity and DIRECTION), and the continents were in different positions, then would this not cause the ancients to see the sky (constellations) differently? In other words, is Fomenko making erronious assumptions about the physics of the Earth in pre-history, which then corrupt his data with regards to dating the relevant astrology? The last event to seriously disrupt our planet occured roughly 3500 years ago, according to other good researchers, so is it possible Fomenko has been confused by this? The vastly different physics of our planet in the not so distant past may explain this confusion, which is not to say the "mainstream" version of history is correct; on the contrary. I am not an expert in these fields, but wanted to see if this idea could spark discussion.

5 out of 5 stars Pants on fire?.......2007-07-19

Will people ever read before spamming? Yes, Jesuits could not rewrite world history alone, they had help. Anyway, Dr Prof Acad A.Fomenko does not point to jesuits as the driving force of world wide history manipulation in published volumes 1,2,3;, actually he barely mentions the poor devils. Check it with 'Search inside' feature, please. China is rarely mentioned either, in fact, Dr Fomenko is completely eurocentric. Right, his theory contradicts all mainstream schools of history, because in their actual state they are all built on blatantly erroneus chronology. You don't need a mysterious cabal (conspiracy) to falsify history, the falsification is its modus operandi. It is inherent to history(ians) to falsify (distort) events, as it is inherent to humans to boast as it is inherent to power (authority) to legimize itself by referrring to glorious past made to its own order. Dr Prof Fomenko and team have identified scores of instances of such manipulation in Russian, European, etc.. history, and delivered valid statistical proof thereof. His own 'reconstruction' is completely another story. Forget c14 as a valid method of dating. W.Libby has initially discovered a brilliant method of INDEPENDENT dating. Too bad, c14 method has become a joke after a forced marrige with dendrochronology with consensual chronological scale inbuilt. Radiocarbon method can't stand blind tests, but is so very productive as a rubberstamp.

5 out of 5 stars Accepted History & Chronology Must Be Changed. .......2007-04-09

There is no doubt that history as most know it is a sham, & institution's version of History both University & Church is fradulent & inaccurate. Everything was established with an agenda, The real "Dark Ages" are now when we have access to incredible amounts of information past authorities & more important 'common folk' didn't have but our institutions & educators are slow to evolve because of what has ignorantly & arrogantly been taught for too long. This is on many subjects not just Chronology.

For anyone to question "Why would a Mathematician have anything credible to say of History?" The answer is from Dr. Fomenko's preface in the book: "It would be worthwhile to remind the reader that in the XVI-XVII century Chronology was considered to be a subdivision of Mathematics." These volumes could possibly be some of the most important works to date & should be read by everyone with an interest in History, especially professors & educators who have a duty to the public. I have read both books & must say that 'Chronology 1' has some very eye opening & revolutionary information. Even if these volumes are part true the implications are profound & opens the doors to further investigations & questions which must be done. I speak several different lanquages & must say the logic Dr. Fomenko uses with "inflection" of words & words being read from left to right in one region & right to left in another then written backwards, the removal of vowels & get down to basics of words, or different cities & locations having the same name etc. is correct. Vowel usage has always been optional & varied, actually complicating linquistics & study. The first thing one has to understand is that words never had a fixed spelling in history like we do now, the spelling of words was mutable & regional, as well as names & titles of people were vast, varied & changed, NOTHING WAS FIXED or understood linear. Matters of Life & Death as well as financial profiteering yesterday & today were & are made with ignorant, illogical & conspiratorial views of history & reality, it's time people get closer to the Truth & society collectively grow up.

5 out of 5 stars Very Interesting.......2007-03-07

It is a good proposal and I believe it will mature into something even better in the future. I think it deserves to be read.

4 out of 5 stars History as Science Fiction.......2007-01-10

Anatoly Fomenko has written a very intriguing book, full of pictures, charts, and computer 'proof' of his thesis: backwards of AD900 we don't really know what happened or when. Between AD900 and AD1600 there is more certainty, but there is still a lot of fuzzy ground, and things don't get reliable until we get past the 1600's where the printing press made it very difficult for the perpetrators of this timeline manipulation to change anything that had been committed to print. The Dark Ages did not happen. Books were burned for a reason. One organization has doubled the actual length of its existence by expanding the real chronology. Read why.

I had always wondered why Christ died about AD33 and yet men waited until the 11th century to form the Knights Templar, the Cathars, etc and go after the Holy Land by force. Why the 1000 year gap? Turns out there wasn't more than a 10-12 year gap and he proves it using astronomy. This also implies that the planet is not as old as we have been told, and current Christian and other creationist scientists are already championing that idea without being aware of Fomenko's book. The two groups, creationist scientists and the Russian mathematical analysts corroborate each other. Fascinating.

Of course, all this flies in the face of what we have been told traditionally is the 'proper' chronology of western civilization, and most readers will experience 'cognitive dissonance' in reading this book. It means that our history going backwards from AD1600 becomes progressively more incorrect and unreliable until it cannot be trusted at all... in the space of 700-800 years.

Naturally, the curious, open-minded reader will want to know WHO did this, WHY, and did any of the events we think of as really ancient ever happen?
Dr. Fomenko is a respected scientist/mathematician at Moscow State University who has already answered these questions to the satisfaction of his initially skeptical colleagues. Most of them are now believers, a few still refuse to believe (the usual diehards), and of course the western press has ignored Fomenko's work -- for obvious reasons when you read the book. The ones who perpetrated this chronology ruse have a lot to answer for. They are still with us. That's why this book is a well-kept secret.

I gave the book a 4-star rating because I was unable to check out some of his claims; those I checked were as he said. But if even 1/3 of his claims are true, this punches a big hole in what we think is our history, the meaning of western civilization, our educational process (for repeating the ruse as gospel), and the trustworthiness of the organization that perpetrated this ruse, well-intentioned or not.

This book relates to current research into a Young Earth paradigm, to John Keel's discoveries about our planet, and Fr Malachi Martin's insights (in his now out-of-print books). We are indeed sheep who are manipulated and kept ignorant -- for a reason. While knowing what these men have to say may be the "booby prize" (as in: 'what can you do with this knowledge?'), it will provide interesting reading. Didn't someone say: "...and the Truth will set you free."?? For you to judge if this book contains the truth.

An excellent presentation of Cherokee religion in respect to the harmony in the relationships of cycles. Easily readable, but goes into depth to give good solid understanding. A well done book on the subject!

Helps me with my meditation practices. Better to use this in the great outdoors but a very sprit building book!

5 out of 5 stars Book Balances the Experience.......2003-04-07

I like this book because it is the answer to How Full Circle Works. It cannot replace the Experience of Full Circle. The Experience appeals to the feeling side of a person and the book balances the experience with intellectual understanding. I read it straight through in one evening.
The book tells about the wholistic and enjoyable approach the Garrett Family uses to help people into group transformational energy in the way of the Cherokee. It also tells about mainstream counseling techniques incorporated into Full Circle for insights and healing. An atmosphere of support, acceptance, non-interference, respect and love in an environment that includes nature is emphasized.
The Cherokee Full Circle book is a wonderful blend of Cherokee cultural teachings that make sense today, interesting drawings enhancing the Cherokee stories (could be used for children to color as a coloring book), and modern day group techniques. It is a book for personal growth and a book for the professional wanting to explore diversity and new/old ways and thoughts.
If any reader wants to implement a Full Circle, the actual experience would be helpful if not mandatory to success.

Drs. JT & Michael Garrett have gifted us with yet another wonderful collection of great insights and practical ways of "be-ing." The Cherokee Full Circle provides the reader with suggested activities that help one move towards balance and harmony throughout one's daily and life-long trials. The authors show how ancient wisdom continues to have practical applications in today's world. In doing so, they illuminate the realities of truth to be timeless. JT & Michael provide a way to make choices that can connect us with the Universal Circle of Life. They remind us of the sacred in everyday life. In their book, they show how many things that we may take for granted can bring a new energy into our life ( as well as those around us ) by recognizing their relationship to us and all other things. Giving thanks, asking permission, sharing, showing respect, generosity, listening, and being a helper are just a few of the many teachings in this book. The beauty of their message relates to everyone no matter what age, background, spirituality,or location. Once the reader makes the choice to embrace "the Way of the Circle," they learn to honor all things, to listen, to see, and to act in a sacred manner. Wah Do

Book Description

In novels such as Last Summer and Looking For It, Michael Thomas Ford has honestly and lovingly explored the intimate details of gay men's lives, from hot sex and lasting relationships to friendship and the search for family. Now he's crafted his most extraordinary novel yet, a powerful saga of three friends and lovers whose story spans decades and whose bonds have finally come Full Circle.

History professor Ned Brummel is living happily with his partner of twelve years in small-town Maine when he receives a phone call from his estranged friend—Jack—telling him that another friend—Andy—is very ill and possibly near death. It is news that shatters the peace of his world for many reasons. And as Ned boards a plane to Chicago on his way to his friend's bedside, he embarks on another journey into memory, examining the major events and small moments that have shaped his world and his relationships with these two very different, very important men.

Growing up together through the restrictive 1950's and confusing `60's, Jackson "Jack" Grace and Ned Brummel took solace in their love for each other. But once they arrive at college in 1969 and meet handsome farm boy Andy Kowalski, everything changes. Despite Andy's apparent heterosexuality, both Jack and Ned fall hard for him, straining their close friendship. Soon, the three men will become involved in a series of intense liaisons and bitter betrayals, coming together and flying apart, as they alternately hurt, love, shape, and heal one another over the course of years. From the heady, drug- and sex-fueled days of San Francisco in the wild seventies to the haunting spectre of AIDS in the eighties and the righteous activism of the nineties, their relationship transforms and grows, reflecting the changes going on around them. Now, together again in the most crucial and intimate of settings, Ned, Jack, and Andy have another chance to confront the damage of the past and embrace the bonds of friendship and love that have stood the test of time.

Full Circle is a wonderfully moving chronicle of three friends that is also an unflinching, triumphant celebration of the power of gay friendships, of the deep bonds forged despite strong obstacles, and of the love that is ultimately the most important thing we can ever share.

Just finished reading FULL CIRCLE. I hope not all gays are as sleazy as the ones he described from the 70's. I found his characters disgusting. Am I the only one? I'm glad to say that the homosexuals I know aren't like those characters.

5 out of 5 stars Bittersweet Memories of a Life.......2007-09-01

WOW! Ned's life reached out and touched me in ways I didn't imagine when I first started reading this novel. I found a few similarities in my own life - growing up in the 60s - being a Boy Scout (I hated it!) - feeling inadequate - moving to San Francisco (I did it in 1981) for the freedom it appeared to offer - watching so many friends die from AIDS. I was moved and touched in so many ways throughout the story - his friendship with Jack - their breakup due to Andy and then Brian - and the ever increasing death of friends that numb you to life. Mr. Ford is an amazing writer!

The lives of three men, who are both friends and lovers, run full circle as destiny moves among them to bring them all back to each other.

5 out of 5 stars MTF does it again!.......2007-03-14

I love this guy's work! Having read all of his previous works I must say that this was among the best (not that the others failed in any way). The story centers around three good friends: Ned, Jack, and Andy. It takes us from Ned and Jack's adolescence through their young adulthood, where one goes off to fight in Viet Nam and the other enters the seminary, while Andy finds a way to live his life off of sick and dying men. The relationship of the three does run "Full Circle" as we see at the end of the story. A terrific plot, great characterization, and a story that is very well told. You can't miss with any novel from Michael Thomas Ford.

3 out of 5 stars It's a Gay life.......2006-12-17

It's A Gay Life

Ford, Michael Thomas, Full Circle, Kensington Press, May, 2006.

Michael Thomas Ford's novel of adolescent lust, unrequited love, messed up friendships and domestic bliss takes place over a fifty year period. It is a powerful story of friends and lovers and of bonds that come full circle. This is the tale of Ned Brummel, a history professor who lives happily with his partner of twelve years in small town America. This happiness takes a turn when he receives a phone call from a friend, Jack, whom he has not heard from in years and who tells him that another friend is very ill and possibly dying. The news shatters Ned's peace and he takes a plane to Chicago. On the way his memory takes him on yet another journey--one that examines the events of his life and the shaping of his world and his relationships with others.

Going back to the 50's and 60's, we are invited into the world of Jack and Ben who found beauty in their love for one another. But college was to change that and that change came by the name of Andy Kowalski. Both men fall for him and fall hard. What follows is a series of secret meetings and betrayals as they hurt, love, mature and heal one another over the course of the following years. We read of their lives in the drugged out days of San Francisco in the seventies. through the advent of AIDS in the eighties to the activism of the nineties and as they live through these periods, their relationships change and grow and reflect the transformation that was happening around them. Now together again as one of them is about to leave the world, they have one last chance to face the past, examine its damage, rejoice in its good memories and embrace their love for each other--a love that withered the supreme test--time.

Without giving away the plot any more than I have, I will say that this is a moving saga of three friends but it is also an unyielding story that celebrates the power of friendship and deep feelings that were able to withstand enormous obstacles-a love that is ultimately the most important thing that one can share.

I have read all of Ford's books up until now but none on them (as good as they are) ever engaged me quite the way this one did. I am used to laughing with Ford while this book moved me to the other emotions which I had not experienced in his writing until now. Having experienced the same periods in history and having been there, Full Circle was a "remembrance of times past". It is not often that a book can portray the power of love so that it moves the reader to tears.

Through the three major characters, Ford portrays the gay "every man" having him travel through the history of gay America. And he does so with beautiful prose, with realism and with a heightened sense of emotion. I think one of the things that makes this book so important is that it is not the story of the "twink" generation which we have of late found so much of on bookshelves. Rather it tells of the baby boomers who have now become middle-aged adults. Even though it embraces the "older" generation, all of us can appreciate the love, the friendship, the deep bonding that we become privy to.

This was a nice read. I enjoyed it from the beginning to the end. I ENJOYED THE CHARACTER ALEX. Unfortunatly the book club I was in has dispersed therfore I had a few friends read it and they all enjoyed it as much as I did. There was a cliff hanger so, I am patiently but excitedly awaiting the sequel...

This is definitely one of the best books I have ever read, it was so detailed that I felt as if I were watching a movie. It was a very easy read it only took me 2days; my husband told me if I didn't hurry and finish he would hide it (lol), that is how much it kept me engaged wanting more. I can't wait for the SEQUEL.

5 out of 5 stars Definitely a must read for great relationship drama.......2007-06-03

Maritza has completely captured the urban relationship all the way down to the lingo. As an urbanite growing up during the 90s this book speaks directly to the types of relationship issues that frequently occured. The main character Alex is someone most women can relate to at some stage in their life. Maritza brilliantly transports the readers and makes it easy to visualize all of the scenarios depicted. This book is a great read for both women and men. I would highly recommend it!

Book Description

The New Testament book of Romans has played an important role in the life of the church from the period of the early church and through to the present day. In this concise survey of the major theological changes associated with Paul's letter, Mark Reasoner focuses on its history and interpretation, particularly through the works of Origen, Augustine, the medieval exegetes, Luther, and Barth. In doing so, he reveals that by a circuitous route, western Christians in the 20th and 21st centuries are returning to reading Romans in ways very similar to Origen's concerns in the third century. This is true particularly in regard to issues of the human will, sensitivity to Jews and Judaism, openness to the possibility of universalism, and a deconstructive reading of the obedience to government passage in Romans 13. Thus, in addition to giving a helpful overview of Romans itself, this book will help readers situate their theological questions within the 2000-year history of conversations about Paul's letter to Roman believers.

4 out of 5 stars A unique treatise.......2006-09-04

I've read part way through this book at this point, reading it together with a friend. It provides plenty material for discussion. It seems to me to be aimed at a seminary audience, as there are some theological and Greek grammatical terms used, but not fully explained. It's not quick reading, but it makes up for that in the unique content.

The content is to take a dozen key passages whose interpretation has varied over the last couple thousand years, and show exactly how these interpretations have varied. The title of the book, "...in Full Circle" refers to the idea that some contemporary interpretations have more in common with the most ancient church fathers than they do with their immediate predecessors over the last four or five hundred years.

All in all, it's a fascinating way of looking at scripture - through the eyes of influential authors over the course of almost twenty centuries.

4 out of 5 stars SLOW.......2006-08-04

This book took about 10 days longer than the rest of the books that I ordered. Iwas still in good shape and packaged well though--just slow.

Author Jeff Shaara rounds out the Civil War trilogy started by his late father Michael Shaara, whose book The Killer Angels describes the Battle of Gettysburg. Just as Jeff Shaara's Gods and Generals covers action prior to Gettysburg, The Last Full Measure picks up with Confederate General Robert E. Lee's retreat from Pennsylvania and continues through the end of the war. Shaara focuses on the characters of Lee and Union commander Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain, both of whom play prominent roles in the earlier books. He also introduces a new one: Ulysses S. Grant, the Union general who would finally defeat the South--something no soldier before him could manage. The Last Full Measure is often exciting and poignant, and fans of The Killer Angels and Gods and Generals won't be disappointed. --John Miller

    Book Description

In the Pulitzer prize-winning classic The Killer Angels, Michael Shaara created the finest Civil War novel of our time, an enduring bestseller that has sold more than two million copies. In the bestselling Gods and Generals, Shaara's son, Jeff, brilliantly sustained his father's vision, telling the epic story of the events culminating in the Battle of Gettysburg. Now, Jeff Shaara brings this legendary father-son trilogy to its stunning conclusion in a novel that brings to life the final two years of the Civil War.

As The Last Full Measure opens, Gettysburg is past and the war advances to its third brutal year. On the Union side, the gulf between the politicians in Washington and the generals in the field yawns ever wider. Never has the cumbersome Union Army so desperately needed a decisive, hard-nosed leader. It is at this critical moment that Lincoln places Ulysses S. Grant in command--and turns the tide of war.

For Robert E. Lee, Gettysburg was an unspeakable disaster--compounded by the shattering loss of the fiery Stonewall Jackson two months before. Lee knows better than anyone that the South cannot survive a war of attrition. But with the total devotion of his generals--Longstreet, Hill, Stuart--and his unswerving faith in God, Lee is determined to fight to the bitter end.

Here too is Joshua Chamberlain, the college professor who emerged as the Union hero of Gettysburg--and who will rise to become one of the greatest figures of the Civil War.

Battle by staggering battle, Shaara dramatizes the escalating confrontation between Lee and Grant--complicated, heroic, deeply troubled men. From the costly Battle of the Wilderness to the agonizing siege of Petersburg to Lee's epoch-making surrender at Appomattox, Shaara portrays the riveting conclusion of the Civil War through the minds and hearts of the individuals who gave their last full measure.

Full of human passion and the spellbinding truth of history, The Last Full Measure is the fitting capstone to a magnificent literary trilogy.

5 out of 5 stars Great finish in an outstanding trilogy.......2007-04-04

I think this book, and the two preceding it should be required reading in school. I had no idea how horrific this war was, particularly more so as the brutalities committed on both sides were against our own. There were so many moments when I wanted to stop and cry for the loss of life, and especially at the end when the one man who was capable of healing the country and bringing us all back together as one nation, Abraham Lincoln, was assassinated.

The research was impeccable and telling the story from the viewpoints of the various generals absolutely fascinating. The honorable Robert E. Lee, Chamberlain (loved his gracious salute to the surrendering army), and the ever fascinating U.S. Grant.

One quote from so many in the book that just brought tears to my eyes: "Yes, it was horrible, horrible indeed. But he had to tell himself that, remind himself to see it that way. There was no sickening revulsion, no outrage, no indignation at the barbarism. It was just one more scene from this war, one more horror, one more mass of death, blending together with all the rest."

Highly highly recommended, and will definitely open your eyes to the horror of war.

5 out of 5 stars Very Affecting Novel on the last years of the Civil War in the East.......2007-03-20

This is the novel that it seemed that Shaara came into his own. This part of the Civil War was incredibly brutal and Shaara depicts this well. The campaign that Grant and Lee waged was epic and Shaara brings out the humanity of these two men. This book seems just a notch below the "Killer Angels" and is superior in many respects to "Gods and Generals". It is populated by a very human Grant (this book made me want to read more about him) and a very ungodlike Robert E. Lee who propel the story. Chamberlain and his struggles are also depicted and are very relevant because his actions in the last year of the war were as heroic as his actions at Gettysburg. Appomattox is also depicted very movingly. Hopefully this novel will eventually be made into the definitive Civil War film.

5 out of 5 stars Moving finale of the Civil War trilogy.......2007-01-24

I echo the positive sentiments previously expressed. Let me add that the chapters covering Lee's surrender and Chamberlain's salute are among the most moving I have ever read.

5 out of 5 stars A fine study of the last year ..........2007-01-14

... of the American Civil War. I would say this is an excellent history for those who do not particularly have the patience or care to read a history book.

Set as a novel viewing the events of the war through the eyes of it's major players, the story begins with Lee's army at the swollen banks of the Potomac after his retreat from the disaster at Gettysburg. Although the novel does not include the recruitment process of Grant for command of all Union forces as Lt. General (a rank last held by George Washington), nor the strategy session between Grant and his favorite, Gen. W.T. Sherman; it does give a glimpse of why Lincoln chose this man to led the Army.

With the selection of Grant the focus of the war is changed from the dubious capture of Richmond as a means to defeat the South to the defeat of Lee himself. Grant sums it up in a sentence to Gen. Meade (who he leaves in charge of the Army of the Potomac) saying, "Where Lee goes, you will go too." Grant knows that the fighting heart of the South is not in Richmond, but in its most popular leader, Gen. R.E. Lee. When Lee is beaten, the war will end ... and of course, history bears this out.

The tale takes us through the Union defeat in the burning thickets and forest of the Wilderness; Lee's (and Stuart's) brilliant disengagement and race to Spotsylvania and the mule shoe salient -- where the most vicious fighting of the war takes place -- the two armies positioned literally yards from each other, clubbing and stabbing one another to death over and through chinks in the log barricades. It follows Lee's move to the North Ana River where Grant's leaders make a terrible mistake in deployment, but are spared disaster because Lee remains in his tent, too ill to take advantage of the situation. The fight moves further south to Cold Harbor and the wholesale slaughter of Union troops in Grant's biggest mistake of the war. Over 7,000 men are killed in twenty minutes of battle. And finally to the siege of the strategic rail center at Petersburg.

Ultimately Lee will leave Petersburg and march his army west only to be dogged by the Union and finally give up the fight as hopeless at Appomattox.

Although slow moving at times, the average reader will come to know the last year of the Civil War in a way that standard history texts cannot tell it. This is the most critical period of time for each nation's survival. If Lee can hold out for a few more months and Lincoln is not reelected, the pacifist movement in the North will permit the Confederacy their independence and the Union will be broken. With the defeat of Lee in Virginia and the victories of Sherman in Georgia, the South will give up the fight and the Union preserved. We all know the eventual outcome of the struggle. This book gives us the personalized details of how desperate a fight it really was.

Some of the more avid history buffs might be a bit disappointed at the coverage of some events (such as the battle of Cold Harbor), but all in all, this is a fine book on the greatest event in American history. Well written and very readable.

    *** Highly Recommended ***

    5 out of 5 stars amazing.......2005-01-07

This book is amazing, but don't trust the back of it; it misleads you. This is my favorite one in the series and so good, i read it in one sitting. You won't want to put it down!

    3 out of 5 stars Could've been much better.......2003-11-16

I think it's time this series ended. Cate is running out of plot lines. Why couldn't she just let Cal and Selene be dead instead of bringing them back into the story again, the way she did. I realy wish Morgan would just let go of what happened with them earlier on in the series. The whole idea of Morgan having strange dreams has already been used before - remember in "The Calling" with Ciaran and Amyranth? I did however think that what happened with Hunter and the coven leader wasn't too bad but I didn't really see how the spell he and his dad created helped much. Okay, so it stops people from hurting others with their magick, but it also stops them from helping people - slight problem here. Anyone heard the expression "If you can't curse you can't heal"? I also liked the way Hunter and his Dad grew closer - they felt much more like father and son in this book. And finally, Morgan and Hunter actually had sex. And about time too. The sex scene in book 10 was terribly done but I thought it was much better dealt with in this one.

4 out of 5 stars Sweep Comes Full Circle.......2003-10-27

The final book of the series (although there is the Super Edition). This one alternates between Morgan's and Hunter's viewpoints.

Morgan is having nightmares and everyone thinks she might be the target of a spirit; possibly Cal's. Hunter is called to discreetly investigate a coven leader who might be being tempted by dark magic.

Hunter has resigned from the Council but is still interested in many of its ideals. Now he must juggle those, a sense of right and wrong, and still help Morgan with whatever is plaguing her.

While Morgan is trying to solve her immediate problem, she is awarded a scholarship to a school of magic healing. But in order to go, she will have to have the support of her Catholic family.

In the end, the book is nicely resolved and the series is tied up although there is plenty of room for more stories (i.e. what happens in Scotland?, what about Killian?, what about Alisa?, etc.). Very nicely done.

5 out of 5 stars Full Circle swept me off my feet.......2003-09-11

I really want the next one to come out soon!!! This book I read so fast that i read it again! It is filled with so much love that i wished that real life could be that way.
Morgan gets rid of her problems and falls more in love with Hunter. She goes through troubles but it falls together great in the end.
Hunter and Morgan are so great together, better than her and Cal couldve ever been. I think that im going to go read it again. Pick this book up when you are out.

5 out of 5 stars More, More, More.......2003-08-14

This cannot be the end. We need to see Morgan through her training in Scotland. Let's follow her through graduation. I've heard rumours of a baby. We need a handfasting!

This series has kept me turning pages. I can't wait for more.

His compassion and love for her is unending. For those who have read Refuge, this continues the story of Matt and Beth and what they must face in the future. Lisa Tawn Bergren has such a beautiful way to her writing. She made me feel as if I could go to Montana and meet these folks. I highly recommend this book but be sure you have the tissues near by!

5 out of 5 stars Across "The Bridge" is worth the trip!.......2001-01-10

I just finished reading The Bridge. I thoroughly enjoyed it! I was surprised to find myself liking the characters so much in such a short time. I especially loved how the author described Eden getting her visions and sculpting them. It really sparked the creative juices in me and made me wish I was an artist! It was more than just romance or entertainment for a few hours. I loved the message. I appreciate the author's gift to communicate to the heart on many levels. I learned this in her Northern Light Series also. They're all excellent.

Lisa's descriptions of Montana were awesome. I can certainly see why it holds such a dear place in her heart. I loved the fly fishing parts, especially teaching Nick. It endeared me to Eden even more and exposed her nurturing side. I could imagine Eden in her prayer spot or sitting on the dock with her feet in the water. It really made me want to spend my summers there!

I was also delighted to find Lisa's web site and get to know her better. Lisa is in my top 10 of about 30 favorite authors. I'm looking forward to reading her anointed and inspired writing for many years to come. I'm eager to read Christmas Every Morning.
