Book Description
Recorded history is a finely-woven magic fabric of intricate lies about events predating the sixteenth century. There is not a single piece of evidence that can be reliably and independently traced back earlier than the eleventh century. This book details events that are substantiated by hard facts and logic, and validated by new astronomical research and statistical analysis of ancient sources.

Calculations are only as good as your numbers.......2007-08-03
Yes, we can all agree that mainstream history is nearly 100% BS due to politics, economics, ego, problems with dating techniques, and various conspiracies. Agreed. But, I've been researching the distinct possibility that human history (in terms of civilizations) are much more ancient than we've been told, so coming across this book was very interesting to me. I wondered how Fomenko could be wrong (if at all) because he is very persuasive in his presentations. Then it dawned on me. If at previous times in prehistory, due to the various catastrophies that are well documented (comets, asteroids, planetary disruptions, plasma discharge, pole reversals, etc) the Earth was in a different position in relation to the sun, different tilt on its axis, different orbit, different rotation (in terms of velocity and DIRECTION), and the continents were in different positions, then would this not cause the ancients to see the sky (constellations) differently? In other words, is Fomenko making erronious assumptions about the physics of the Earth in pre-history, which then corrupt his data with regards to dating the relevant astrology? The last event to seriously disrupt our planet occured roughly 3500 years ago, according to other good researchers, so is it possible Fomenko has been confused by this? The vastly different physics of our planet in the not so distant past may explain this confusion, which is not to say the "mainstream" version of history is correct; on the contrary. I am not an expert in these fields, but wanted to see if this idea could spark discussion.
Pants on fire?.......2007-07-19
Will people ever read before spamming? Yes, Jesuits could not rewrite world history alone, they had help. Anyway, Dr Prof Acad A.Fomenko does not point to jesuits as the driving force of world wide history manipulation in published volumes 1,2,3;, actually he barely mentions the poor devils. Check it with 'Search inside' feature, please. China is rarely mentioned either, in fact, Dr Fomenko is completely eurocentric. Right, his theory contradicts all mainstream schools of history, because in their actual state they are all built on blatantly erroneus chronology. You don't need a mysterious cabal (conspiracy) to falsify history, the falsification is its modus operandi. It is inherent to history(ians) to falsify (distort) events, as it is inherent to humans to boast as it is inherent to power (authority) to legimize itself by referrring to glorious past made to its own order. Dr Prof Fomenko and team have identified scores of instances of such manipulation in Russian, European, etc.. history, and delivered valid statistical proof thereof. His own 'reconstruction' is completely another story. Forget c14 as a valid method of dating. W.Libby has initially discovered a brilliant method of INDEPENDENT dating. Too bad, c14 method has become a joke after a forced marrige with dendrochronology with consensual chronological scale inbuilt. Radiocarbon method can't stand blind tests, but is so very productive as a rubberstamp.
Accepted History & Chronology Must Be Changed. .......2007-04-09
There is no doubt that history as most know it is a sham, & institution's version of History both University & Church is fradulent & inaccurate. Everything was established with an agenda, The real "Dark Ages" are now when we have access to incredible amounts of information past authorities & more important 'common folk' didn't have but our institutions & educators are slow to evolve because of what has ignorantly & arrogantly been taught for too long. This is on many subjects not just Chronology.
For anyone to question "Why would a Mathematician have anything credible to say of History?" The answer is from Dr. Fomenko's preface in the book: "It would be worthwhile to remind the reader that in the XVI-XVII century Chronology was considered to be a subdivision of Mathematics." These volumes could possibly be some of the most important works to date & should be read by everyone with an interest in History, especially professors & educators who have a duty to the public. I have read both books & must say that 'Chronology 1' has some very eye opening & revolutionary information. Even if these volumes are part true the implications are profound & opens the doors to further investigations & questions which must be done. I speak several different lanquages & must say the logic Dr. Fomenko uses with "inflection" of words & words being read from left to right in one region & right to left in another then written backwards, the removal of vowels & get down to basics of words, or different cities & locations having the same name etc. is correct. Vowel usage has always been optional & varied, actually complicating linquistics & study. The first thing one has to understand is that words never had a fixed spelling in history like we do now, the spelling of words was mutable & regional, as well as names & titles of people were vast, varied & changed, NOTHING WAS FIXED or understood linear. Matters of Life & Death as well as financial profiteering yesterday & today were & are made with ignorant, illogical & conspiratorial views of history & reality, it's time people get closer to the Truth & society collectively grow up.
Very Interesting.......2007-03-07
It is a good proposal and I believe it will mature into something even better in the future. I think it deserves to be read.
History as Science Fiction.......2007-01-10
Anatoly Fomenko has written a very intriguing book, full of pictures, charts, and computer 'proof' of his thesis: backwards of AD900 we don't really know what happened or when. Between AD900 and AD1600 there is more certainty, but there is still a lot of fuzzy ground, and things don't get reliable until we get past the 1600's where the printing press made it very difficult for the perpetrators of this timeline manipulation to change anything that had been committed to print. The Dark Ages did not happen. Books were burned for a reason. One organization has doubled the actual length of its existence by expanding the real chronology. Read why.
I had always wondered why Christ died about AD33 and yet men waited until the 11th century to form the Knights Templar, the Cathars, etc and go after the Holy Land by force. Why the 1000 year gap? Turns out there wasn't more than a 10-12 year gap and he proves it using astronomy. This also implies that the planet is not as old as we have been told, and current Christian and other creationist scientists are already championing that idea without being aware of Fomenko's book. The two groups, creationist scientists and the Russian mathematical analysts corroborate each other. Fascinating.
Of course, all this flies in the face of what we have been told traditionally is the 'proper' chronology of western civilization, and most readers will experience 'cognitive dissonance' in reading this book. It means that our history going backwards from AD1600 becomes progressively more incorrect and unreliable until it cannot be trusted at all... in the space of 700-800 years.
Naturally, the curious, open-minded reader will want to know WHO did this, WHY, and did any of the events we think of as really ancient ever happen?
Dr. Fomenko is a respected scientist/mathematician at Moscow State University who has already answered these questions to the satisfaction of his initially skeptical colleagues. Most of them are now believers, a few still refuse to believe (the usual diehards), and of course the western press has ignored Fomenko's work -- for obvious reasons when you read the book. The ones who perpetrated this chronology ruse have a lot to answer for. They are still with us. That's why this book is a well-kept secret.
I gave the book a 4-star rating because I was unable to check out some of his claims; those I checked were as he said. But if even 1/3 of his claims are true, this punches a big hole in what we think is our history, the meaning of western civilization, our educational process (for repeating the ruse as gospel), and the trustworthiness of the organization that perpetrated this ruse, well-intentioned or not.
This book relates to current research into a Young Earth paradigm, to John Keel's discoveries about our planet, and Fr Malachi Martin's insights (in his now out-of-print books). We are indeed sheep who are manipulated and kept ignorant -- for a reason. While knowing what these men have to say may be the "booby prize" (as in: 'what can you do with this knowledge?'), it will provide interesting reading. Didn't someone say: "...and the Truth will set you free."?? For you to judge if this book contains the truth.
Book Description
Poignant, funny tales about a man and his dogand the lessons learned about responsibility and enduring friendship It is love at first sight when Carlo De Vito, an aspiring book editor, first meets Exley, the rambunctious, rescued German Shorthair Pointer he adopts and who becomes his faithful companion. In 10 Secrets My Dog Taught Me, De Vito writes about their experiences growing up togetherand the life lessons that invariably result from their adventures. Ultimately, when his beloved friend is gone, De Vito discovers some truths about love, loss, and lasting friendship. It had been Exleys job to raise me. All that time we had been having fun, going for walks, getting into trouble, being companions and friends in some great adventure. And I had spent so much time teaching him to sit, stay, lie down, roll over. But all along, he had been teaching me. It is the child that makes the man, and in this case it was a dog. All along it had been the dog doing the teaching, not me. How do you like that? And I love him for it to this day and will for the rest of my life. Writing in the heartwarming, bestselling tradition of Pack of Two and My Dog Skip, De Vito captures the spirit of that tie in a way that will resonate with not only dog lovers, but all those who share their heart and home with a pet.

Not what I expected..........2007-08-29
This book is okay I guess, but for some reason I just couldnt get into it. It wasnt like "Marley & Me" (which I loved. It lacked a little bit of emotion and it didnt seem like someone was just telling me their story about their dog, it just seemed like he was trying to teach me a lesson or lecture me.
10 secrets my dog taught me: lifes lessons from a mans best friend.......2007-05-12
This bookd was so enjoyable i coul hardly put it down. Being a dog lover it brought both laughs and tears. I recommed it for any kind of animal lover who can learn a lesson from a four legged person.
Excellent!.......2007-02-05
This book is so well written and a must read for any dog lover. It truly teaches you life lessons. I learned so much about my dog and myself as I read this book. Fantastic!!
Even better than Marley & Me.......2007-01-27
The author's style and story-telling ability are terrific and the story is touching. Marley & Me was a good book but this is the tale that belongs on the NY Times best-seller list!
Great lessons in a short book.......2005-12-12
As a dog lover, this book really hit the mark. It was short, entertaining, emotional, and provided life lessons (or reminders) to help each reader become a better person. I really enjoyed the story - I laughed and cried. A must read for dog lovers - particularly those strapped for time and tapped for patience.

One thing's for sure, Hank will keep readers laughing out loud with this latest installment to the popular series.
"The best family entertainment in years." (USA Today)
Customer Reviews:
Sigh..........2007-04-28
Hank started out, in his first 6 books, like the best msteries since Hardy Boys. (Faded Love #5 (Hank the Cowdog) is almost like Star Wars Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980 & 2004 Versions, 2-Disc Widescreen Edition) in this respect that it's the best of the 6), however, nowi t's clearl made for little kids instead of 7-16 year old children.
Eddy was a mstake from the start. The book drags on about hm, and there's little or no central plot (although a few early chapters deal with a "Laundry Monster". Hank is to bumbling here to be rooted for and Drover... what was once sheer brilliance of someone Hank could teach and get his mind scrambled over s now almost pompous! Sigh...
The good points? Hank and Ed eating horse feed is mildl amusing and the activities on the back are neato! And, the last picture of Ed pulling ank out of the water is cute.
Bottom Line; 2 1/3 out of 5. Hank has come a long away, and not for the better I'm afraid...

German Shepherd goes Dutch........2007-06-21
A 2007 summer reading list mini review.
I was at a home school convention last month, and perused the vendor hall with my wife. Like many home school parents, we purchase most of our curriculum needs at the convention vendor hall because there is a great deal of selection assembled in one place. Most vendors want to get their product catalogues out to the attendees but with such a variety of vendors, it's difficult to find a way to make their product line stick out. One vendor had a novel approach, literally. They handed this book out to the passers by. Inside the book was the publisher's product catalogue.
I have been reading the book to my children and they have been enthralled by the adventures of a boy, Tom and his dog, Scout, in the Netherlands prior to and encompassing WWII. In the course of the book, Scout and his master foil a robbery ring, save a British paratrooper trapped behind enemy lines, keep a Jewish girl away from German authorities, and help end the German occupation of their city. Besides all that, Scout also helps booksellers get out their product line. What a dog!
No Doubt, Scout Is Excellent.......2004-01-22
I read a lot of Piet Prins' books, and I think they are incredible. The one called Scout, I thought was wonderful, because it gave me an other feeling about war and what it was like.Until I read Scout, I didn't know what war really was like. I thought it was just like a shooting game, but then I started to read it, and that changed my feelings about war. Now I realize how horrible war is and how pointless it is to get more land. If you do that millions and millions of people would die. Now I know that it isn't just a game.
A great story!.......2000-11-18
This was an exciting story of a boy and his German Shepherd dog in the time of Word War II. I enjoyed it extremely when I read it a few years ago, when I was about 12 or 13 years old, and my brothers liked it too.
A great story!.......2000-04-04
This is the first and best of the "Scout" series, the books by Piet Prins that tell the story of the courageous German Shepherd and the boys he leads. This book introduces Scout during the eve of World War II in Holland, explains how he was trained, and demonstrates his loyalty toward his master. Although encompassing a series of adventures, the book maintains a common theme about life in Holland during World War II. All readers will enjoy the spirited confrontation between the Germans and the Dutch boys. Written for children, the book is still a delight for adults to read. The writing is excellent and forward moving, but easy enough to be enjoyed by adolescents (I first read it while in the 4th grade and understood it fine).

Loose Lead.......2004-01-31
This book was well written. It will be a useful guide to use for learning how to show your dog, no matter what breed it is. With the dog show circuit being extremely competitive, it is nice to have the inside scoop and know what is correct and what not to do. I found the illustrations well done and matching the breed standards quite nicely. This would be a very good reference for someone who is considering the thought of showing dogs. A big thank you to Ms. Francis for putting Ms. Pardo's words in print for everyone to benefit from.
What to expect when dealing with show dogs.......2004-01-17
Knowledgeably written by Nancy Francis, Loose Lead: The Life And Dog-Training Secrets Of Texas Legend Adelene Pardo condenses a lifetime's work of handling show-winning dogs into easy-to-understand chapters featuring renowned canine handler Adelene Pardo's "loose lead" technique. A solid and thoroughly "user friendly" guide for what to expect when dealing with show dogs (including judging; ring patterns; the importance of time, patience, and love while training future champions, and more), Loose Lead is a "must-read" for anyone seriously considering participating in a dog show with their favorite canine companion.
Loose Lead.......2003-11-20
I really enjoyed reading Loose Lead by Nancy Francis about the lifetime committment of one of the greatest dog trainers, Adelene Pardo. Discipline can be loving as Ms. Pardo with Ms. Francis shows in the book with all the anecdotal experiences. I especially liked the chapter on 'Teaching.' Love, in treating dogs, (and other animals) goes a long way. GREAT READ!!!!!
Pearls!! Pearls and Jems!.......2003-11-14
An incredibly light-hearted, yet focused and well written read about arguably, one of the most famous, if not notorious, pillars of the Texas Dog Show circuit: Adelene Pardo. I think the author must have used her experience from Adelene's training course, for without even realizing it, I had been happily "baited" into devouring the whole book. Words of wisdom and sage advice are found woven throughout the entertaining, sometimes side splitting, real life adventures. Breeder, Handler, Trainer, Judge, she's done it all! Her dogs are her life, and they respond to her likewise. Her reputation speaks for itself.
Personally, I have always loved Dog Shows, but they can be incredibly intimidating, especialy to novices. Finding anyone with experience willing to completely open up to "dumb" questions is nearly impossible. I speak from experience. For years we have bred the most breath takingly beautiful Doberman Pinschers, and have always been overwhelmed at where to even start at professionally showing them. Until now. Loose Lead is filled with inside tips not only on showing dogs, but on the complex interactions of the dog show scene. The one section included on "stacking" your dog, was enough to justify the cost.
This book was an absolute "find" for me. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in learning more about showing dogs and you'll get to know a mighty incredible lady along the way!
Finally! An Insider Look!.......2003-11-14
I've had the pleasure of knowing Adelene Pardo since I was a small child. I can recall the first time I saw one of her beautiful Weimaraners jump from her car and follow her every step and command. I was very pleased Adelene decided to write a book, so that she could share her first hand knowledge. For years I've admired and respected her work, and always wanted to know more. So many questions were answered in her book about handing dogs and the world of dog shows. She is a true inspiration for those who love to show dogs. This book is a MUST READ if you have any interest or desire in either showing your dog or want to know more about the "behind the scenes" happenings that go on at dog shows.
