Fields Virology.......2006-06-05
The book pictured on this site is the Fourth Edition of Fields Virology. However, the "Book Description" in the "Editiorial Reviews" section on this site is for the Third Edition of Fields Virology. I hesitate to purchase the book because I am unsure which edition you will be shipping. Before I place my order, I want assurance that I will be receiving the Fourth Edition.
Best out there for MAMMALIAN virology.......2005-01-27
My take on this two-volume set is that if you are going to put out as much money as this set costs, you should get a lot for it. This two- volume set is simply the best I have found for MAMMALIAN virology, with a close second being 'Fundamental Virology'. I stress the mammalian virology, as it omits a good bit (if not all) of the plant- associated virii. The basics of all virus structure are in there, regarding plant virii, but beyond that, there is information lacking. Despite this, when purchased as a graduate-level or upper-undergraduate level text or reference guide, there simply is no other text of this scale. There is a lot more text than graphics, but this does not (in my opinion) deter from the value of the text. If I could, I'd give a 4.5 star of 5, only for the lack of plant virii information and my personal desire for more graphics. i will say that the CD-Rom has more than enough graphics to make up for the book's seeming lack of graphics. As a 'financially- burdened' Pathology trainee and Virologist by employment, I will say that this is worth the price and effort to read. Note that it is written to the biologist who has some knowledge, albeit foundational knowledge, of biology.
A FINE VIROLOGY YARDSTICK.......2003-02-20
There is hardly any significant fact about viruses that missed-out in this edition of "Fields Virology". Page after page, this sound all-inclusive reference doles out authoritative information on both viruses and viral syndromes. From taxonomy to etiology, metamorphosis to replication; the analyses of this text is grand. The same applies to its attached CD-ROM. Its practical outlook was intended to benefit both microbiologists and pathologists. Bernard Fields and his colleagues made their mark with this book. It is a great effort.
However, most botanist may not be pleased to know that little attention was paid to plant viruses. Again, many potential buyers may be demoralized by the rather high price that this virology-set demands.
Another Bible. Amazing viral world.......1998-02-01
It covers all fields of virology. Perfect and wonderful ! Easy to understand. I really recommend this book to who is involved in biology

Griffen & Pustay are liers.......2007-06-19
The book is below average. However, I understand that everyone needs to make a buck--it's all politics !
The Author is such an ediot to the extent that he/she or whatever ediot editors helping them to issue this book, are saying that the Israelies won the war in October 1973; while that it is a fact that the egyptian army had them surrounded and was about 40 miles of their capital ready to make them a history,if it wasn't for the U.S stepping in; Israel would have been a history !
I wonder how much did the israely government paid you stupid to publish such lies ? I have no respect for you biast !
Worth reading.......2003-11-22
I took a course at my university requiring this book. What I found most useful is the numerous updated examples and cases that the author provided. In addition, the discussion is objective and thought-provoking.
Littletext.com switch.......2003-08-05
Ordered this book from Littletext.com as a new hard cover and recieved a softcover international addition. I wouldn't mind using international version since there is hardly any difference, but don't bait and switch on me I don't like it. I'd buy from someone else if the price was within a couple bucks. Got my book not from Chicago as advertised, but Thailand. However it was delivered in no time.
Too much self-reference.......1999-07-03
I had this book for one of my classes at my University this semester, and although the content of the book is concise and updated, nonetheless the authors rely too much on self-reference. The book is written too much from a "USA is superior" perspective. I also found some errors such as translations from other languages that were completely off. If you have to get this book for Intl. Business it is overall a good book, but if you can get a better one, do so.

Book Description
Delta Force Major Charley Castillo returns in the third crackling adventure in Griffin's #1 New York Times-bestselling series.
The first two novels in W. E. B. Griffin's exciting new Presidential Agent series, By Order of the President and The Hostage, immediately raced up the bestseller lists-The Hostage debuting at #1. Told in "punchy prose that connects like a right hook" (Chicago Tribune), they were further proof that "Griffin just keeps on getting better" (Booklist).
The Hunters picks up right where The Hostage left off. Two brutal murders and millions of missing dollars in the growing UN/Iraq oil-for-food scandal have lead Castillo and his team to an estancia in Uruguay, where, to his shock, the man they are seeking is himself murdered right before their eyes. Who is responsible? Most likely, the people higher up in the money chain, those willing to risk anything to keep their secrets from being revealed. They've left just enough of a trail, though, for Castillo to pick up the scent, and, with carte blanche from the president, to follow it wherever it takes him, he ends up . . . well, not exactly where he expected . . .
Brimming with rich characters, strong action, and cutting-edge drama, this is Griffin writing at the height of his powers.

Don Juan Does it again!.......2007-09-06
This was another great read by Griffin. I hope he plans to continue the series as I am still getting over the end of The Corps. and needed this new thriller.
Griffin uses his ability to take people from extraordinary backgrounds and make them seem almost plausible. Carlos/Karl goes from being an orphan to multi-millionaire stud pilot/special operator/ presidential fix it man. Amazing.
The ending of this one was kind of open ended and I thought flatter than the other two. In By Order of the President (1st book in the series) the ending was conclusive. Book II, The Hostage, was less so. This was OK as you knew there was a sequel and the purpose of The Hostage was clearly to set the stage for the third and final book, The Hunters. Understanding this, I was a little disappointed at the ending of The Hunters and wished it had been more developed. Over all though, still a great read!
Another W.E.B. Griffin Classic.......2007-08-28
Another novel in the series from the master story teller of military and special operations branches. A must have for the fans of Griffin, Clancey, Higgins and Walter j. Boyne.
Another good Griffin read.......2007-08-03
It would be nice if he could just bring us up to speed once, at the start of the book, to refresh our memory of where we left this set of characters. Then he would not have to keep going over it as the story progresses.
The action is pure Griffin and much better than that in the books he writes with his son.
Overall, hard to put down - plan on some late nights of reading as you get involved with the plot.
Dissapointing.......2007-07-15
After really enjoying the first two books in this series, The Hunters is a big let down. I stopped reading it half way through because I was tired of both Griffin summarizing the previous 2 books for those readers who hadn't read them, and I was tired of Castillo continuing to fill every new character in on the "presidential finding." It is as if Griffin is so proud of his Castillo character and his nifty lifestyle that he has to continue to pound it into the readers skull how special he is. WEB: we don't care, we want some action, and action does not involve reading for the 18th time how Castillo does indeed hold dual citizenship, answers only to the president, and flys around the world in a G3. Good lord there was no reason to turn the pages accept to hope that the author would actually start putting some suspense in the story as opposed to a grocery list of people that Castillo had to fill in on the story. Did I mention the book is repetitively dull?
Want more books in the Corps series.......2007-07-13
Mr Griffin -- I hope you see this and think about it. Some of us would like to see a continuation of the Marine Corps series. They were the best. I liked them because they usually featured obscure but interesting tidbits of history. Good stuff!

Well Nice bookie.......2003-06-09
Nice treatment of management. I learned a lot from this book.
Most helpful and insightful.......2002-09-28
The book is fairly comprehensive in terms of its scope. We are currently using the book at our Organizational Behavior class, and it's proved to be an excellent reference. The way it is structured (for the reader) makes in-depth reading or skimming through it (let's face it: this is the reality for most working MBA students!) equally effective. It has clearly distinguishable definitions on the margins, which can serve as a cue for the topic, along with the summaries at the end of every chapter. The intro and closing "cases" provided around the topic of the chapter are VERY insightful and on every other page or so, there are examples about the matter being discussed, which help with the understanding (I know that I, as an Engineer, appreciate examples to illustrate a point). Finally, the illustrations (graphs and charts) are one of the best things the book has! Remember that phrase that used to say "a picture is worth a thousand words"? Well, the authors epithomize it. The charts in the book do a great job at conveying entire pages of information at a time in a very efficient way. All in all, I like the book a lot, and it's been very helpful in complementing our in-class discussions about cases and topics of Organizational Behavior.
But this book ONLY if it is required!.......2000-12-10
I had to buy this book for a college management class. The material is painfully obvious. However, if you've lived you're entire life living in a dark, dank room eating Cheetos and watching MTV, then this book will be a watershed for you. If, on the otherhand, you are looking for some solid management theory, this book is not for you. If you have to buy this book for a course like I did, remember, you can always sell it to someone who hasn't read it yet.

I am working in an Orthopaedic office as a Nurse Practitioner and find this book to be an invaluable reference, particularly for assessing specific areas I am less familiar with.
Essentials of Musculoskeletal Care.......2007-04-15
If you're going to be in practice, you had better own this book. Every general practice physician I know owns this book, and every mid-level provider ought to have one, as well. Concise, easy to read/understand, discusses complaints by body region, includes IDC-9 codes.
The Ortho Bible.......2007-02-23
well rounded and balanced for both the orthopaedic and the primary care office.
The end-all orthopedic reference for primary care.......2006-11-10
There is no need for another orthopedic reference on my bookshelf.
Essentials (3rd ed.) is highly visual, easy to search, and quick to browse. Arranged by anatomic regions, the book reviews pertinent anatomy, then discusses the examination. Each section is suborganized by disease state, and clearly illustrates the maneuvers used to diagnose each problem. Finally, treatments and procedures are described with illustrations, photographs. Each includes relevent ICD and CPT codes. There are complete libraries of patient handouts (which are also included on the accompanying DVD in adobe acrobat format).
As a family physician, I see a tremendous amount of orthopedic issues in my office, and Essentials has been a great resource for both me and my patients.
need more detail.......2006-07-11
I bought this book thinking it would be a more specicfic musculoskeletal companion to Braddom's generalized PM&R textbook. Unfortunately the treatment paragraphs (most important section from my perspective) for each topic were very thin and nonspecific. They were woefully inadequate for an attending or physiatry resident. I sent the book back which unfortunately meant I didn't get to critique the DVD.
Book Description
By virtue of his previous four books on the subject, David Ray Griffin is widely recognized as one of the leading spokespersons of the 9/11 truth movement, which rejects the official conspiracy theory about 9/11. Although this movement was long ignored by the US government and the mainstream media, recent polls have shown that (as Time magazine has acknowledged) the rejection of the official theory has become "a mainstream political phenomenon." It is not surprising, therefore, that the government and the corporately controlled media have shifted tactics. No longer ignoring the 9/11 truth movement, they have released a flurry of stories and reports aimed at debunking it.
In the present book, David Ray Griffin shows that these attempts can themselves be easily debunked. Besides demonstrating the pitiful failure of Debunking 9/11 Myths (published by Popular Mechanics and endorsed by Senator John McCain), Griffin riddles recent reports and stories put out by the National Institute of Standards and Technology, the New York Times, Vanity Fair, and Time magazine as well as a new book by the chairmen of the 9/11 Commission. He also responds to criticisms of the 9/11 truth movement by left-leaning and Christian publications--which one might have expected to be supportive.
Throughout these critiques, Griffin shows that the charge that is regularly leveled against critics of the official theory-that they employ irrational and unscientific methods to defend conclusions based on faith-actually applies more fully to those who defend the official theory.
This book, by debunking the most prevalent attempts to refute the evidence cited by the 9/11 truth movement, shows that this movement's central claim-that 9/11 was an inside job-remains the only explanation that fits the facts.
Customer Reviews:
Not a great book.......2007-10-02
Having read the book in full, I must admit that Griffin does poke several holes and highlights some inconsistencies in the four documents he challenges. However, despite his critiques, the four documents still appear more scientifically and statistically sound than what Griffin offers as an alternative theory.
Too often, Griffin dwells on the semantics of "conspiracy theory" vs. "alternative conspiracy theory", while making far-fetched claims involving "voice-morphing technology", on the extreme end.
As a book, it simply drags. Griffin is too wordy and repetitive with his arguments. He could have put forth the same claims with half the verbiage. Either way, though, most of the claims are indeed bogus.
An Absolutely Undebunkable Rebuttal to the Official Theory Pushers.......2007-10-01
As a philosopher and epistomologist, Dr. Griffin examines all subjects dispassionately and with pure intellect and reason. Here is a fact. It is indeed correct that "conspiracy theorists," in the pejorative sense of the term, do indeed cherry-pick random facts to bolster their case. They also omit data that doesn't fit their case.
Another fact is that a conspiracy is simply an agreement between two or more people in secret to do something illegal and/or immoral. A conspiracy theory is a hypothesis as to who is responsible for the act. The officially historically sanctioned version of what happened is itself a conspiracy theory: The idea that 19 Muslim extremists conspired to attack America, their motive being they hated our freedoms (or, in an another interpretation, out of "blow back" for decades of aggressive U.S. imperial-style foreign policy) is itself a conspiracy theory.
Throughout Griffin's latest excellent volume, he shows how the champions of the official theory are guilty of precisely what they accuse the alternative theorists of doing: cherry-picking, omitting and distorting.
The NORAD tapes likely involve distortion, as their version is corroborated by no one but themselves. All news reports and personal anecdotes from the time run to the contrary of what the tapes allegedly reveal.
Popular Mechanics engages in all of the negative traits. Here is but one example: Omission. They claim that no one could have imagined what would happen if a large jetliner slammed into the building. They omit the crucial words of one of the chief architects of the towers. He said: "There would be a huge fire, and massive damage, and a lot of people would be killed, but in the end, the structure would still be there."
The above is just one of countless omissions and distortions in the Popular Mechanics book. Griffin's latest volume is especially important for balance in libraries and the like, because many major institutions, such as the BBC and the History Channel, not to mention the U.S. Government's own State Department website page, continue to cite Popular Mechanics as the final answer to debunking "9/11 conspiracy theories." This book is the REAL conspiracy theory debunker.
Excellent Read.......2007-09-26
I loved this book. David Ray Griffin has a lot to say and every bit of it is presented cogently and clearly. He sticks to the facts and adheres to the scientific method. In defending himself and other "conspiracy theorists," he presents an excellent case showing that documents presented to the American public as the "official story of 9/11" rely on two main methods to present their cases: cherry picking of evidence that bolsters the official story, and complete omission of evidence that doesn't.
The backers of the official story would like you to believe that people who believe in conspiracy theories are nut cases. But David Ray Griffin points out that the official story itself is a conspiracy theory. Therefore, the only real question is this: Who were the participants in the conspiracy? This book presents a very strong case that participants included top American officials and members of the Big Business elite. But that's only the case presented by the facts. There's also the case presented by a few of the "really good looking facts." Take your pick.
Logical, rational, and undeniable.......2007-09-17
Griffin's book is a devastating critique not only of the government's story regarding the events of 9/11, but also of the official defenders of that story. It it this book that finally convinced me beyond all doubt that the official story isn't only suspicious, but utterly absurd. I would strongly encourage anyone with even a mild interest in the events of 9/11 to read this book. Dr. Griffin cites strong evidence (with mountains of useful and accessible references) and uses basic logic and fundamental physics to dismantle the (as Griffin terms it) "official conspiracy theory". While there still may not be any solid proof about precisely what DID happen on that day, Griffin succeeds spectacularly in proving what did not. I would without any hesitation recommend this book to anyone, especially those who do not understand what reasons there are to question the government's version of events. Griffin's articulate, dispassionate, and intelligent arguments are very difficult to dismiss.
Sufficient text, but must be understood in context.......2007-09-11
There has been no trial to bring justice to the victims of September 11, but there have been public inquiries and an official commission that have sought the whole story surrounding the acts which took 3,000 lives on that criminal day. As a result of the publication of the 9/11 Commission Report, counter-claims have been formulated which seek to deconstruct the veracity of the "official conspiracy theory" which the US government has promulgated in this document and elsewhere.
The 9/11 Truth Movement is a decentralized and grassroots organization spanning the United States which has been at the forefront of public arguments that the plans for 9/11 were, by and large, known in advance by the top brass of the Executive//Intelligence leadership of the United States. Beyond that, the movement argues that American high-ups were complicit with the hijackers, since they materially aided the plans of Osama Bin Laden by various means in a preplanned manner. The author of "Debunking 9/11 Debunking" is a central member (although not a singular figure-head) of what is loosely called the 9/11 Truth Movement. And he insists that his group's claims deserve to be more cogently addressed, since the government's "irrational conspiracy theory" does not hold water against his evidence.
In response, Popular Mechanics, a mainstream science and technology magazine, has taken up the task of debunking the claims made by those they consider to be "conspiracy nuts" (i.e., those aligned with the 9/11 Truth Movement and others who don't believe the government's 9/11 story). However, Popular Mechanics was at the forefront of counterclaims made in response to the original (9/11 truth Movement-lead) conspiracy allegations regarding 9/11. If it gets confusing, it is.
According to an objective, dictionary definition of "conspiracy theory", both sides are conspiracy theorists. The real question, as author David Ray Griffin puts it is: Who are the "rational conspiracy theorists" getting matters of space, time, and intelligence correct; and who are the "irrational conspiracy theorists" who obfuscate truth and justice? The official conspiracy timeline the US leadership has formulated may be the closest thing there will ever be to a public trial of Osama Bin Laden, Khalid Sheik Mohammed, and others who allegedly perpetrated the attacks. This is unfortunate no matter who is to blame for 9/11.
The problem is: The Bush Administration cannot even apprehend those whom that are trying to convict in the court of international public opinion. So of course, the suspects cannot defend themselves, and the US government's version of events is left murky.
As far as the objective truth to 9/11, we may never know. Both sides certainly poke holes well in each others version of events.
Mind you, the 9/11 Truth Movement, which raises philosophical questions which may ultimately relate to the fate of our so-called democracy, does not necessarily insist Al Qaeda is innocent. Many inside and out of the "Truth Movement" tend to argue that Al Qaeda was made a scapegoat by the Bush Administrations, which enabled the terrorist plan to unfold by making sure that the best military and intelligence system in the world failed to stop 4 hijacked planes, and one big conspiracy to commit first degree murder on a mass scale inside the US..
A problem which makes the book non-definitive is that it only pokes holes in the hole poking which was done by Popular Mechanics magazine. In succeeds on many points but fails to prove anything definitively on others. It definitively does not construct a complete time line of what happened on 9/11 (as does "The Terror Timeline" by Paul Thompson).
As a connoisseur of 9/11-related conspiracy books and propaganda, I would say there are more impressive books if you are looking to expose yourself to alternative press on the subject of 9/11 "conspiracy theories". Nonetheless, no anthology on the subject would be complete without copies of David Ray Griffin's writings.
In short, Debunking 9/11 Debunking is a must have for libraries which seek to inform on the subject of economic conspiracies, political conspiracies, global conspiracies, and "9/11 Conspiricies". If you are looking to shorten your shelves however, you might want to consider getting a hold of Griffin's early works such as "The 9/11 Comission Report: Omissions and Distortions" or "9/11: The New Pearl Harbor" which were more ground-breaking and movement-building. "Crossing the Rubicon" by Michael Ruppert is also a must have, as it is has also served as a movement-building work of investigative research.

The Hobo Philosopher.......2007-10-02
This book is not main stream. Its critics would probably call it the radical theories of a "gold bug". A more "establishment" answer to the criticisms brought up in this book can be found in Galbraith's - Money, From Whence It Came and Where It Went.
This book is structured very well. It is easy to read and very persuasive but if you are like me, after you finish this book you will have more questions than you have answers.
The book makes some good points on the other hand it promotes many fantasies.
Mr. Griffin could be right on many things but his answers for the most part would not make things better - but worse in my opinion.
The solution to the MONEY problem are more complicated than the answers that are supplied here. This book is a good book to buy and to read but one must read it very critically - very critically.
Fearfully Factual - Wholly Horrific.......2007-04-22
If you, like me, believe that the truth doesn't always makes sense, but the WHOLE TRUTH usually does, then you will appreciate and value this well researched, carefully written work by G.E. Griffin. Even so, this is just the tip of a much bigger iceberg, but for anyone who wants to know why the working class has to work so hard, just to go backwards, you will find out a very definitive answer in this book. This book is a must have for any TRUTH SEEKER fighting for facts in an age of profiteering deceipt. If you are new to economics, please read "Whatever Happened To Penny Candy" by Richard J. Maybury and Jane A. Williams first and you will know more than than most politicians. Griffins other book, "A World Without Cancer" is equally as researched, informative, and important.
Even a beginner can understand.......2007-04-04
When I first read this book - I had only just begun looking at the banking system and how it worked. My knowledge extended a bit past CNBC - but not much. I found it understandable and enjoyable. Since my original read (about 3 years ago) I have read it again and bought a second copy to loan out - I don't want to lose my original. I'm not sure Joe Average could simply pick it up and be enthralled, but if you have an interest in the banking system - this is a great book - even if you have little background in the subject.
The Matrix .......2007-03-17
AFTER READING THIS BOOK YOU WILL HEAR DISCUSSIONS ON TALK SHOWS, ARTICLES IN THE PAPERS AND YOU'LL LISTEN TO THE RHETORIC BANTERED BACK AND FORTH AMONG PEOPLES TRYING TO GRASP "WHY THINGS ARE HAPPENING THE WAY THEY ARE". WHY DO BANKS GET INVOLVED IN APPROVING HOME LOANS ON OVER VALUED PROPERTY...KNOWING FORECLOSURES WILL SOON SKYROCKET? WHY DOES THE US SELL WEAPON TECHONOLOGY TO COUNTRIES THAT, WE CITIZENS ARE TOLD, ARE PROBLEM COUNTRIES? WHY HAS THE CIA TRAINED FOREIGN BORN INDIVIDUALS, SUCH AS, BIN LADEN AND OTHERS KNOWING FULL WELL WHAT THEY ARE ALL ABOUT? THE MEDIA REPORTS EVENTS AND WE ASSUME THAT IT IS TRUE...THAT IT REPRESENTS REALITY. BUT, THIS BOOK WILL TELL YOU WHAT IS REALLY GOING ON. THEN YOU WILL REALIZE HOW FOOLISH WE ARE TO LIVE IN THIS "WORLD OF MAKE BELIEVE" THAT THE MEDIA HAS CREATED FOR US.
Should be required reading.......2007-03-06
You can read the other reviews for synopsis and overviews. This is a must read and should be required reading for all Americans. It is a well researched and footnoted exposition on the Federal Reserve and far more. Griffin goes into fascinating asides regarding the origins of money and banking and the ways that bankers have instigated wars while supporting both sides. This book should be of great interest to those who enjoy either history, finance, foreign affairs, mystery or politics and answers many questions as to why the "world" is as it is today. The first 50 pages are a little slow and then it reads like a detective novel. It could even be argued that it's one's duty to read this book.

The only really good parts are the skills sections-- they do a good job of describing skill steps and providing rationale which helps you remember the steps. For all actual studying, try a cliff notes version or the online Evolve course and save yourself a heap of time.
fundamentals of nursing.......2007-05-07
this book is known as the bible in my career of nursing. this book tells you how to diagonose your client, it teaches you how to do a care plan for your client and it tells you deviations within each body system.thank for this book it will always be apart of my collection now and forever.
Wordy and Hard to follow. .......2007-04-28
This has been one of the worst textbooks I have ever used. The authors are very wordy which makes the text confusing. It is difficult to understand why is the most used next in nursing. Other fundamental texts are much more readable, clearer, and precise. I found that Potter and Perry took so long to explain a simple concept that I often forgot the point of what I was reading.
If your a first year nursing student who is required to use this book I suggest looking ahead and purchasing your Medical-Surgical Nursing text now. It will have the nearly same information in a much better format and will greatly help you through fundamentals.
If your a professor, there are much better fundies texts on the market.
OMGosh! I hate this book!.......2006-12-29
This is the largest textbook I own and it was a complete waste of money. My theory courses are distance and it moves very fast, this book is too wordy to get thru and actually learn anything, by the time I get to the nursing practice sections my eyes are bugging out and I am exhausted. Add kids and general life and well, I have ceased to be able to recognize either one right now. I have to use the book to a degree, the tests are from the book and they sneak little items in that one would only know if they had waded thru the expansive text. I have purchased other books just to create a realistic base of knowledge for my nursing career.
The 'Incredibly Easy' series is well worth the money IMO.
If you are required to use the book for your program, I would suggest that you not use the study guide, things don't even match up in some sections and chapters. I would suggest reading the nursing practice area first so you don't lose your concentration, skimming the scientific knowledge base and supplementing with another resource to establish your foundation. I wished I had approached the use of this text in a different way from the very beginning, I am now halfway thru my semester and I feel so overwhelmed and behind....

More of a reference book........2006-02-26
This book does not have a lot of depth to it - and it is somewhat dated (each year a bit more), but there are some handy examples that make it a worthwhile read... especially for the price.
An O-K text, with a few gems........2004-12-16
For your basic introductory business class, this book is good. It offers a lot of vocabulary, and I can see why a lot of people would say the book has no depth since most of the information can be drawn from simply living the real world. (Unless of course you live in a refrigerator.) So why bother grabbing the text if I can get the same exact knowledge from life?
Well, in the beginning, end and throughout each chapter, tons of real life examples are woven in to illustrate each of the "business essentials." On top of that, real quotes from millionares, successful CEOs and entrepreneurs, and trusted business executives allows the average student a valuable glance into what makes up a smart business mindset.
What's my point? To study business, you need to study the principles that real professionals swear by. Texts written by "just" business professors who don't actually participate in the business world really just don't cut the chase. They're probably broke anyway. Now textbooks with information from successful people, that's what's going to make a student of business really churn out a beautiful future.
So while the material is very, very basic. The real life examples are awesome. However, these lessons can be taught by even better books by great people like Stephen R. Covey and Dale Carnegie. But if you do need a book chock full o' business vocabulary and basics, this isn't a terrible pick. And it certainly does spell everything out.
