Customer Reviews:
If You Keep An Open Mind, This Book Will Change Your Life.......2007-09-20
I bought this book with apprehension, afraid Randy Gage was just a Larry Winget would-be. He isn't.
First, this book is incredibly readable. No poor grammar, typos, or awkward writing. That, to me, puts it miles above most self-motivational books currently on the market. Second, Randy tells it the way he sees it. He's blunt. He doesn't whitewash anything. But he backs up his opinions with solid, logical thinking rather than vague theory. Third, Randy forces the reader to question his/her thinking. And his arguments are brilliant.
There are a couple of problems with this book, but that's to be expected. For instance, he gives us a hypothetical story about a group of people trapped on a deserted island, and with that story makes a great case against government. But his theory only holds up for that initial generation of survivors; it wouldn't apply to their children. Despite this breakdown in theory, the point of the story is well made and easily understood.
Most of the other issues I wanted to mention have already been addressed by other reviewers. Just trust that if you actually read this book, with an open mind, you'll question your own lifelong beliefs.
Example? Even as a teenaged single mother working for minimum wage, I gave to charity. Over the decades I've continued to give to charity, and I would never (in the past) have turned down anyone asking for a handout. Knowing any of us could be one disaster or (in too many cases) one paycheck from homelessness kept me giving my money to what I now realize were the wrong places. Instead of sending a check to every "mission" on Earth, I now give that same amount of money to transition houses, where people are housed and fed for free, but also learn to get back into the work force.
It might seem like a small change of action, but it comes from a serious change in belief. I'm fifty-eight, disgustingly overeducated, hardworking, and opinionated, yet Randy managed to change my life.
This is a remarkable book.
Why You're Dumb, Sick & Broke...And How to Get Smart, Healthy & Rich.......2007-08-26
I think this book was well written. It's not too much different from other motivational book except Randy does not stop at the last page. He introduces you to references and his website that has a wealth of other information that should be able to help you further your success. This is a great book and I recommend it highly.
A flawed, yet very rare and valuable book.......2007-05-20
This book by Randy Gage disappointed me a little, becouse it contains not much of new thoughts and includes some copy-paste fragments from his old books.
Yet still I highly recommend it.
There is not much people in the world, who are courageous enough to tell the truth about religion, politics and mass culture and their real impact on our belief systems and our lives.
I think, a lot of ideas in this book are ahead of our time (although some of them come from Ayn Rand) and will be more accepted by the masses in the future.
But you don't have to wait, you can use them to free yourself from mass lies almost everybody is infected with nowdays. If you choose to do so, you have a chance to live the life YOU want to live, not the one a lot of today soceity's "shepherds" have in their minds for you.
Pablum - don't bother.......2007-05-15
Just another pop psychology "be rich and happy" book by someone who thinks they have it all figured out - yet subjecting it to the same critical thinking the author advocates shows it to be simply a shallow thesis. I'm always amused by those who claim make some money (which, by the way - you can never be sure of unless you see their tax return) and think that's all there is (strip away the "admire the beautiful sunset" stuff and that's the basic premise). His religion is money - many prophets like this have come before him, and many will follow. Here's a quote: "Yes, I know money doesn't buy happiness. But it lubricates life and can prevent a whole lot of unhappiness." I guess he never took a look at many of the people in upscale rehab. This author reminds me a lot of the late Charles Givens. Do a Google on that guy and you'll see what I mean.
Read This and Change your life.......2007-05-15
Changes your mindset and challenges you to analyze how you have been conditioned to think all your life. Brash, fresh and thought provoking!

How To Make $130,000 A Year.......2007-05-20
A.D.Kessler knows how to make a $130,000 from selling his books, dvds and programs. Reading his book didn't give me the tools I thought I needed to understand and lease option a property. There is some good information in the book and I recommend this book if you are a novice. I am looking for another book to get more information.
Anthony - Los Angeles, CA
My copy just arrived today - couldn't put it down!.......2004-02-05
While there are many good books out there, this one bu A.D. Kessler stands head and shoulders above them all.
I say a advertisement on the internet for this book and tape offer and jumped on it, because I had heard of A.D. Kessler from a real estate buddy here in Florida. He acknowledged that A.D. Kessler was the grandfather of "nothing down" real estate deals. And he said that A.D. Kessler was more than just a promoter or a "mee-too" writer of books trying to capitalize on the popularity of real estate, he said that A.D. Kessler has done it! He knows this business inside and out and all points in between.
My copy arrived today along with the video. One of the first things that impressed me about Kessler is that he put the importance on people, not real estate. According to Kessler "The real key to real estate is people not property." And throughout the book the emphasis is on people. Makes sense, after all, who owns those properties and/or wants to buy them--people right?
I was also impressed to see the flaring reviews, in fact, raving reviews for Kessler by people like Robert Allen, Albert Lowry, Howard Ruff and Robert Bruss. In fact, Robert Allen wrote the forward to A.D. Kesslers book and attributed his success to what he learned from working with A. D. Kessler and refers to Kessler as "the real estate professionals professional." And isn't Allen supposed to be the King of Nothing Down?
While some of the information is not new, A.D. Kessler covers it in a way that is new and different. He writes in an easy to read style even though his system is quite complex. He makes it appear simple.
Kessler shows how to make money in good times and in bad times.
There is information on lease purchases, exchanges and more. The book is over 300 pages but reading it was such a breeze, that it seemed like 50 pages.
There is an advertisement in the back flap of the book for his seminars, but I didn't notice an arm forcing me to send it in. This one star reviewer (yeah it is really just one guy) makes me laugh. You get this book which is worth $19.95 retail and a video shipped for only $7 and he is complaining? Talk about the glass being half full!
I plan on using A.D. Kesslers advice to buy properties, all with nothing down. I'll let you know how I make out.
#1 of the 10 best books.......2004-02-03
A Fortune At Your Feet is the best book on real estate investing. In particular, it is the best book on how to buy real estate creatively. A.D. Kessler is uniquely qualified to write on creative real estate investing; he created the term "creative real estate investing", owns the federally registered trademark and copyright and founded the concept with his first win/win deal back in 1946.
A.D. Kessler says that you can make $250,000 per year on one deal a month using none of your own money. What is really exceiting is that his students have done it.
A Fortune At Your Feet is over 300 pages jamm packed with powerful information. It includes 21 chapters and 3 appendices. The millenium edition is updated to include the new tax laws.
I highly recommend A Fortune At Your Feet if your goal is true financial independence.
Did you get the letter offering the book & DVD for just $7?.......2004-01-25
The letter that arrives in the mail offers this book, a DVD, and an offer to become part of A.D. Kessler's "Financial Success Dream Team" for only $7. The $7 is the shipping on the book and DVD. To become part of the "Dream Team" you actually have to shell out THOUSANDS of dollars - and you won't get to work with A.D. Kessler ... just some guy or gal on the phone. With who knows what kind of experience.
How is THOUSANDS for advice realistic for someone looking for a "no money down" deal? The answer is that it isn't. A.D. Kessler is just looking to make a buck or two.
I would recommend Investing in Real Estate 4th Edition by Andrew McLean and Gary W. Eldred instead. (ISBN: 047132339X) It costs only a little more than that $7 you'd waste to get a sales pitch to spend a whole lot more. And, it is much more useful. Tells you exactly how to calculate whether a particular real estate purchase would benefit you or not.
Choose wisely. Happy investing!
I would give it 0 stars if I could.......2003-10-12
The publisher of this book has resorted to spammers to promote it. This tells me that the book is most likely worthless, as is any publication promising that it will teach you how to become a millionnaire in 18 months starting with $100 (I am quoting from the spam email I received).

I'm rich beyond my wildest dreams, I am, I am, Iam.......2007-09-23
This book has given me an insight to how the universe works, it's easy to follow and understand and explains why and how to make it work!
Brilliant!!
Fascinating!.......2007-09-12
Somehow I knew by my earliest childhood that the whole life works under the same princip. Simply, it had to be the truth, and finally now, at the age of fifty I'm exploring fascinating story from the opposite side of the world!
Like a ferry tale. So, I allready believe. Who knows where I will be guided to, after I apply these technics in my life?
Best Book on how to attract Abundance into your life.......2007-08-01
I have read many long winded books on how to make your life rich and abundant. This is a short book and gets quickley to the point.
Simple to read and explains very clearly the steps you need to take. Tom Pauley's amusing little stories give his book, great credibility.
I would heartily recommend it.
Great, but could have been better!.......2007-07-11
I liked this book a lot, and it was very interesting. I especially liked the "assignment" of buying a .79 cent spiral notebook, and creating the lists of what you want in life. I still use the notebook, and refer to it often keeping it updated. The book could have been MUCH better, but sadly, the authors use it to pitch their $2,500 Quantum Selling and Quantum Marketing seminars!
Tithing--what it really means.......2007-06-12
Emmett Fox talks about tithing as giving a tenth of your joy, happiness, positive emotions, etc. to God. He suggests giving what you can, when you feel moved to do so. That sounds like a lot better way to view tithing, to me. God doesn't need your money--and this book even says not to ask the Universe for money.
I think some of this is a good exercise, but there are better sources for the same information, but everyone learns in different ways. I think Neville Goddard is better, in terms of explaining the deeper aspects of the Law of Attraction. Emmett Fox is more appealing to me. But, as a starter on this type of work, this book is OK.

Customer Reviews:
Informative??? .......2007-08-06
As a former employee of the Trump International Hotel and Tower, I feel the book lacks the real value of a lesson. I believe Mr. Trump has an incredible ability to market himself to the public. However after being employed by the Trump Organization, I can honestly say the company does not portray the mannerism of leadership set forth in this book. The book is a motivational tool set for individuals chasing a non-reality dream, which allows Mr. Trump to once again market himself as a money making guru. However all the objectives in the book are intended for people who have already established financial security, it is not a lesson on "How to Get Rich"!
A very inspiring read!.......2007-05-31
I truly enjoyed Donald Trump's views on "how to get rich" - after all, his success is great proof!!
Misleading title and no end to the boasting.......2007-05-18
This book won't make you rich. It reflects Trumps personal business philosophy and is quite an interesting, sincere and fast paced read. The book is flawed by a misleading title and Trump's constant bragging. Is it worth a read? Yes, it is.
Not a useful book.......2007-02-12
This book isn't going to be useful for someone looking to use it as a guide to get rich. I doubt Donald Trump even wrote this book. It reads like a book written by a ghost writer giving out simple cliches with no actual substance behind them. Very dissapointing.
Buried Gifts and Gems!.......2007-01-22
Donald Trump is one of the most unique figures in our nation's modern business history. He is a BRAND MACHINE and he utilizes the brand 'The Donald' to his advantage by giving us one great book (Art of the Deal) a few years ago with some quick reads to get us thinking and have a little fun in the process. This book is of course the latter.
'How to Get Rich' is not a soup-to-nuts read on how to get rich, yet there are some buried gifts and gems that if you keep your eyes open, you may want to underline and reference from time-to-time regardless if you are a business leader or aspire to be a business leader. Throughout the pages of this book, he has such time-tested leadership advice sprinkled throughout with some points for the entrepeneur/business leader to keep in mind. I will point out a few that I enjoyed and you will likely find useful as well:
- "Keep the big picture in mind while attending to the daily details";
- Remain viligent by staying sharp in your field;
- Hire a great assistant - so true; a great assistant can really make your life so much easier;
- Staying stubborn;
- Holding a grudge (when necessary);
- Letting your guard down as a negotiating tool to your advantage
There are other gems buried within this book and as most of the time, Donald is entertaining. Some sections of the book will bring to mind Jack Welch with a splash (actually a heavy dose) of humor.
This is not a book about getting rich per say, but there are treasures of advice and wisdom buried that if you have time on a Sunday afternoon, you may want to type and paste to your wall or time-keeper.
The 3-star review is based on expectations of what many of us have come to expect from a Donald Trump post 'Art of the Deal' read. It is not a must read nor would I recommend this book if you are looking for some meat-and-potatoes of getting rich - you will only get frustrated (very, very frustrated). However, if you like The Donald brand and his tactic (thus his title) -- have some fun, dig out the gems of wisdom, and keep near the table in your front office -- it beats putting out old, dated copies of 'Sports Illustrated.'

Customer Reviews:
Success is elusive but content is good.......2007-09-06
My experience was similar to that of "gordo the lordo." Plenty of clicks but just a few orders.
I give the book a high rating, however, because the content is good. The chapter on managing your campaigns is especially worthwhile. The book gives you everything you need to know to get started. The author is helpful with his Affiliate Millions website. I asked him for pointers. All he could say was I needed to write better ads.
If you are lucky enough to crack the code this is a fabulous way to make a living. You get your ads up and running, tinker with them, and watch the money roll in. I wish I could have pulled it off. I didn't, but I don't blame the book.
Didn't work for me.......2007-08-21
I tried the principles in this book. I set up some ads for a variety of products and different companies through Commission Junction and was, at first, delighted that I was getting a good amount of clicks. I was confident the ads were good enough because of some experience I've had in the past writing copy.
However, after over 250 clicks to major websites that boasted a large earnings per click, I got one sale and a large $ loss. The ads were good enough to catch the people's attention, but no one was buying.
I think this is a tough way to go at it. A website might be the better way to go. I am amazed that anyone could make any money doing this, never mind millions.
Direct and Immediately Useful.......2007-07-24
I was seeking a detailed, practical and thorough "how-to" approach to build internet-based revenue. This book filled the bill. It covered all key facets of the approach - particularly helpful for a layperson - as well as for someone with web-based experience (as am I). I have yet to test the specific recommendations. The book was solid.
Basic start but could leave you broke.........2007-07-12
Its true that money can be made by signing up for affiliate programs and marketing them on pay per click search engines. However, its possible to lose a great deal of money and this book doesn't do a good enough job helping people calculate the risks. For example, the author indicates he markets Amazon products. Amazon on its basic associate program pays 4%. A $20.00 book pays a comission of .80 cents. But in pay per click advertising a marketer can pay 30, 40 cents and even a dollar depending on the keywords. In a test marketing the new Harry Potter book (book 5) I spent over 9.00 in ppc ads that resulted in 4 sales. The click thru to sale was 13%... which isn't bad. The point is, I earned only about $2, but spent over $9.00 to earn it (a loss of $7.00). The author doesn't explain how to choose affiliate programs in terms of cost vs. payoff. Anyone who reads this book will get some basic information, but before spending money on ppc advertising they'd be better off buying The Ultimate Guide to Google Adwords which does a better job explaining keywords, writing effective ads and managing campaigns.
This is a great book.......2007-07-10
A great book about search marketing and how to become a search marketer, also very helpful for people who have their own websites. I was motivated enough to start my own website, [...].

*****Felix Dennis shares his own well-made recipe (tried and tested) for success in the business world of publishing. Needless to say, the humorous bits keep the flow even and smooth.
*****Personal anecdotes and literary excerpts make not only an excellent read but factually spot-on as well.
*****Felix Dennis is a great writer, down-to-earth, simple yet brilliant.
Finally a "How to" Book worthy your time.......2007-06-09
Enjoyed every page of this book. Finally someone who has the authority to really speak about the truth when it comes to trying to get rich through entrepreneurial activity. If you are thinking about becoming an entrepreneur don't miss this book.
Entertaining and Insightful.......2007-05-07
This whimsical read is full of advice on how to put your dreams into action to make you a lot of money.
A quick summary of ideas.......2007-04-09
I'm almost done reading it, and I would like to say that it's a really amusing book (not the Anthony Robbins type). Some take aways:
1) You gotta really really want to make money, more than you want to be happy if needs be. Be compulsively determined.
2) Don't try to cheat the IRS.
3) Delegate. Hire smarter people than you, and pay them very well, but keep ownership.
4) Get rich. Give it away.
5) Timing is very important, more than talent?
6) Execution is more important than the idea. Just go do it.
7) Self-belief is priceless. Confront doubts for facts.
8) Time is the most important thing.
This book isn't a waste of time........2007-03-02
This book is worth reading. It's idiosyncratic, sometimes whimsical, but always readable. The guy is worth hundreds of millions, so it might be worth your time reading what he says, rather than cosmically ordering success.

32 Pounds - Gone!.......2007-09-02
Found this fresh approach to weight loss intriguing. Having been diagnosed with osteoporosis and needing to lose weight, I jumped right in! Happy to report that I lost 32 pounds in 15 weeks rather painlessly. The emphasis on calcium and the facts that accompany it are fascinating, as well as the list of drugs that actually make you fat - Yikes! I'm keeping this book for future reference and encouragement.
Love this book!.......2007-08-16
This is not a get thin quick scheme so if that is what you are looking for... this isn't your book.
I've been doing weight watchers for 5 years now and have been on a plateau for some time (due to my own laziness). I have incorporated this book into my weight watchers routine and I am now losing weight again (about 1-2lbs a week) and, more importantly, I feel wonderful!
Oh, and her marinade for grill tuna is fantastic and easy.
Fantastic, practical information.......2007-07-28
This book has give me more insight on how to kick start my metabolism with the protein-rich , low-carb diet similar to Atkins as well as providing useful information on the importance of getting enough sleep to regulate hormones and why calcium aids weight loss.
Very informative!.......2007-07-13
I could not believe just how much I have learned from this book about calcium alone. I was amazed to learn that what you take it with, depends on whether or not you assimulate it. This book opened my eyes about several things diet and I thought I knew it all.
Great diet that is easy to follow.......2007-05-26
I got this book after seeing the author on Martha Stewart. For me it was very informative on how the body & hunger works. The information on the need for protein at every meal finally made me understand why I was often so hungry when I would try to "eat healthy" before. Protein is a must - I also like her info on calcium and how it can aid in weight loss (I am a dairy lover). Though I have not followed the book's menu religiously, I still have been able to loose and keep off several pounds. This book works for me and is an easy read.

Book Description
Many prominent critics regard the international financial system as the dark side of globalization, threatening disadvantaged nations near and far. But in The Next Great Globalization, eminent economist Frederic Mishkin argues the opposite: that financial globalization today is essential for poor nations to become rich. Mishkin argues that an effectively managed financial globalization promises benefits on the scale of the hugely successful trade and information globalizations of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. This financial revolution can lift developing nations out of squalor and increase the wealth and stability of emerging and industrialized nations alike. By presenting an unprecedented picture of the potential benefits of financial globalization, and by showing in clear and hard-headed terms how these gains can be realized, Mishkin provides a hopeful vision of the next phase of globalization.
Mishkin draws on historical examples to caution that mismanagement of financial globalization, often aided and abetted by rich elites, can wreak havoc in developing countries, but he uses these examples to demonstrate how better policies can help poor nations to open up their economies to the benefits of global investment. According to Mishkin, the international community must provide incentives for developing countries to establish effective property rights, banking regulations, accounting practices, and corporate governance--the institutions necessary to attract and manage global investment. And the West must be a partner in integrating the financial systems of rich and poor countries--to the benefit of both.
The Next Great Globalization makes the case that finance will be a driving force in the twenty-first-century economy, and demonstrates how this force can and should be shaped to the benefit of all, especially the disadvantaged nations most in need of growth and prosperity.

Get down in the trenches of 21st century globalizationm.......2007-02-12
Whilst Mishkin tells it like it is, you just may want to follow on with "EXTREME COMPETITION" by Fingar, and "THE WORLD IS FLAT," by Aronica and Ramdoo to get to the "what do I do tomorrow."
Great book, Mishkin... readers, keep reading!

Not a place for trash.......2005-09-22
My name is Patrick Davis I have written two books on the same subject and have been in the car business for nearly 19 years. In my opinion this is a good book. One of my books has been available on Amazon since 2000. A friend of mine recently called to my attention the reviews that are being posted for books that share a subject category with mine. I am very disappointed that Amazon would allow people to write such distasteful drivel disguised as "reviews" with such titles as "Two Fatties what do they know about cars, trucks maybe?" or "Not Worth the Read, What do Two Old Ladies Know About Selling Cars??, or " Pritch "Pritch"
Get a real job and stop writing these waste of time books", or how about "This Book is a BAD read--I mean really bad, STUPID DUMB POORLY WRITTEN, This book stinks bad ! ! !" Opinions (reviews) are like eyeballs, and elbows everybody has got them. However, when it comes to reviewing sales training books I have more authority than most, and I think this is a good book if your intention is to sell cars to women. Selling cars to women is a smaller niche than I write about. I train salespeople to sell to both genders. However, many principles are the same. It looks to me like another author is using the review section. Most of what I see is what you might expect of bullies on a play ground. I am very disappointed when I see this side of people. I am more disappointed that a company like Amazon would allow this trash to be published under the disguised as "reviews".
Not Worth the Read.......2004-12-14
There is nothing new here. Relationship and target marketing have been around for ages: its common sense. I have not read one innovative piece of information or useful fact in this book. My closing percentage is outstanding and I find this book rather patronizing.
Informative and effective. .......2004-11-23
By understanding the way women relate to the sales process and by placing more emphasis on relationship building and less emphasis on product features, I have learned to customize each sale to the particular wants and needs of the individual customer, increasing my closing percentage by over 300%. Best of all, my high customers satisfaction record has led to many referrals - drastically minimizing my need to prospect by traditional methods. This book is not like any other - these techniques actually work!
Can't wait to get my own copy..........2004-11-20
While recently vacationing in Mexico, I walked by a gentleman who was basking in the sun. I noticed that he was reading a book, "How to Get Rich Selling Cars to Women." I immediately stopped in my tracks and asked if it happened to be by Marti Smye and Rebecca Maddox, and sure enough, it was! He offered that he found it to be very informative, explaining that it teaches "five stages of change" which can really help in the changing of behaviors and attitudes...and not just in selling cars to women. I'm now anxiously awaiting the arrival of my own copy!
What do Two Old Ladies Know About Selling Cars??.......2004-08-10
All fluff and no stuff! What a waste of paper. I ask again--what do two old ladies know about selling cars to women, men, etc.? Answer: NOTHING.
Marketing is an art and a science, a discipline these two old crows do not understand and they have the nerve to write a book--what next?? Suggest they leave the marketing to those with a background, basis and understanding of the subject. Further, suggest they leave marketing to women to some real women and men who understand the topic--the fact that you are two old ladies is not a qualifying factor.
Get a real job and stop writing these waste of time books
This Book is a BAD read--I mean really bad
