Oh taste and see that the Lord is good!.......2007-09-17
It is a tremendous grace that a friend directed me towards this dear book, and because of it I will never be the same. This book is a jar that has been carefully filled at the fountain of living waters. "Oh taste and see that the Lord is good." I have tasted and seen here...
This book will take you soaring on the winds of the manifold Glories of God. He is the treasure to be ultimately delighted in now and for eternity.
Any resource that helps one to see more clearly that God alone can completely satisfy the heart's infinite thirst is priceless. This book is such a resource and I cannot recommend it highly enough.
Life Changing!.......2007-08-26
This one book is worth 50 stars. It is that great and wonderful a read. What I love about Dr. Piper is his exegetical skills. He is able to work with the language and context to bring out what is normally overlooked.
In this book, you will find that God is to be desired in every facet of your life. Desiring God, after all, is command by God (Psa. 37:4).
Unbelievably Good.......2007-08-09
This book is so life-changing that I bought copies for everyone in our church and am leading a book study on it.
It will answer many questions you've had for years and some you didn't know you had on the glory of God and why we worship Him.
It will also help you understand better the relationship between us and him and will help you see who you are in Christ.
In my opinion, this book is required reading for all Christians.
The right concept, but...........2007-07-06
I have a hard time rating this book lowly because the concept that it teaches is sorely needed in the modern church. However, although I think John Piper makes his points clearly and the book is probably readable for most people, I am giving a rating based on my own tastes. The intention of the two star rating is not to discourage others from buying this book, but to communicate my personal opinion of it.
I have read about half-way through the book and have decided to stop trying to feign interest. The reason I have difficulty reading the book really is stylistic. Mr. Piper makes his points and tries to commit them to the reader's memory by reiterating those same points over and over again. Although new biblical text or references are made each time, the points become lost in the tedious labor of revisiting them four of five times before moving on to the next point.
Again, this writing style is probably perfectly acceptable, and even desirable, to many readers. So don't let my review discourage you if you are interested in learning about the ideology of the true enjoyment of God. After all, there really is no other way to experience Him.
Actually life-changing.......2007-07-01
Once in a while, a privileged person happens to read a magnificent book at just the right point in their life, and it permanently changes them for the better. In 2005, I was that person, and Desiring God was that book.
In it, Piper plumbs the Bible to find the purpose for which the universe and in particular mankind was created, concluding that "the chief end of man is to glorify God *by* enjoying Him forever," paraphrasing the old Westminster confession. He then develops the philosophical, theological, and practical implications of this stunning phrase.
I cannot recommend any non-canonical book more highly.
Book Description
For over twenty-five years John Piper has trumpeted the truth that “God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in him.” He calls it Christian Hedonism. The problem is that many people, after being persuaded, find that this truth is both liberating and devastating.
It’s liberating because it endorses our inborn desire for joy. And it’s devastating because it reveals that we don’t desire God the way we should. What do you do when you discover the good news that God wants you to be content in him, but then find that you aren’t?
If joy in God were merely the icing on the cake of Christian commitment, this book would be insignificant. But Piper argues that joy is so much more. Our being satisfied in God is necessary to show God’s worthiness and to sustain sacrifices of love.
Jesus endured the cross for the joy that was set before him. He tasted it. It sustained him through the deepest suffering. His Father was glorified. His people were saved. That is what joy in God does.
The absolutely urgent question becomes: What can I do if I don’t have it? With a pastor’s heart and with radical passion for the glory of Christ, John Piper helps you answer that question.

When I Don't Desire God.......2007-08-24
A profound, well-written book that addresses a critical facet of the Christian's relationship with God. A professor at Covenant Seminary in Saint Louis recommends this book as one of the three most important books he has ever read, and I wholeheartedly agree. In the mountain of Christian literature currently in print this book is diamond.
insightful and profound even after multiple readings.......2007-05-29
I'm in the middle of my third pass through this book. I find myself underlining new things, struck by Piper's passionate exhortation to trust God and fight for joy in Him. If you find yourself spiritually lazy and apathetic, I can't commend this book to you enough.
This book is superb!.......2007-02-13
I regret to say that "mean dean" who has made statements below has not understood Piper as well as he thinks. Piper also agrees and even states in his messages and books that if the delight is not there, then obedience is still to be pursued nonetheless ... but that this "delight-less obedience of duty" is not the only pursuit which is necessary. In addition to still pursuing obedience even when the emotions of delight are not there Piper goes on to say that the reasons for "why the delight is missing" need to be looked into and not just swept aside. "Mean dean"'s critique of Piper is unfortunately not true to his own teaching.
This book is excellent, and it is extremely practical, as it takes the teachings of Scripture and gives clear "handles" for how to apply the life-transforming truths which Piper has presented in his many books regarding the imperative role that desire/delight/passion/joy have in both our obedience to the Lord and our bringing glory to His name. This book is Piper's work at addressing the common challenges people have when applying these concepts, and it succeeds in doing so. I found this to be one of the most helpful of all of Piper's books, and one which gives the reader a clear path for living in both grace and joy under even the most challenging of circumstances. Don't miss this book, it is a gold mine.
This book is rich in Biblical insight!.......2007-02-05
After reading this book, I wish every Christian could realize the vital importance of desiring God most!
Piper masters this concept and it's challenges in this book.
I highly recommend it to those who do not desire God, to those who do desire God, and to those who want to desire and honor Him more!
An incredibly encouraging book.
How to Fight for Joy as a Justified Sinner.......2006-10-25
The Piper triology is considered to be his earlier books Desiring God, Future Grace, and The Pleasures of God. However, this is the hidden jewel in the Piper collection in my humble opinion. It is an excellent compliment to the John Piper's trilogy. He drums the recurring theme, "God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him." Yet the Christian walk is full of twists and turns, and occasionally a season of affliction. Our human frailty is at odds with Christian joy, yet we are to fight the good fight of faith. In the season of affliction, we have to fight for joy, and preach to ourselves the good news of the Gospel. We must present ourselves as a living sacrifice, and find satisfaction in the goodness of God.
Some good chapters focus on our spiritual implements of fighting the good fight from prayer to Scripture memorization. Piper calls Christians to rise above the mediocrity of the age, leave behind the lukewarm spirituality and embrace a radical discipleship. We live in an age in which many Christians are lackadaisical in their efforts to grow spiritually. Many consider a piecemeal effort to attend church from time-to-time as the extent of their investment in working towards spiritual maturity. John Piper challenges Christians to wake up, and in the midst of discouragement rather than depart from full fellowship, he exhorts believers to fight for joy in their Christian walk, and savor the joy of their salvation.
John Piper's book remains a clarion call to fight for joy as a justified sinner, and savor the riches of Jehovah's grace and glory. Where we have been faithless, our covenant God is faithful to do what He has promised. The Lord Jesus Christ is truly the author and finisher of our faith.
One of the most reflective chapters introduces the concept of gutsy guilt, and offers a remarkably profound exposition on justification by faith alone in concurrence with Micah chapter seven. As far as the east is from the west, so far as the Lord removed our transgressions from us. Blessed is the name of the Lord, and blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not impute sin and whose lawless deeds are forgiven. We're more than conquererors through Christ Jesus.
Book Description
Pastor-scholar John Piper invites the reader to sharpen his or her appetite for God by turning away from the dulling effects of food and the dangers of idolatry and draw closer to God through simple fasting with accompanying prayer.
Customer Reviews:
When God is the supreme hunger of your heart, He will be supreme in everything.......2007-08-09
Reading "A Hunger for God" has been a surreally happy experience to me, as Pastor John Piper; one of my most-loved preachers, from whom I have been learning how to be truly happy, expounds on the meaning, the danger, and the blessedness of the often-neglected delightful discipline of fasting, as well as the powerful testimonies of revival and the outpouring of grace in the life of individual saints thereof. One danger or enemy that fasting helps to fight against is the dulling of heavenly appetite, the weakening of holy affections to God, the erosion of desire for a happy communion with God because the body is full of burgers, steaks, fries, pops, and the head is full of sports, TV, movies, among many other things that tend to yield physical irreverence which in turn leads to irreverent frame of mind and irreverent affections.
What particularly causes me not only to be profoundly happy, but also to crave and long for a sweet precious communion and fellowship with the Lord and so to act accordingly is the comments from some prominent saints; past and present, in regard to fasting at the end of the book, some of which that I consider peculiarly powerful are as follows:
- "... it is right to fast frequently in order to subdue and control the body. For when the stomach is full, the body does not serve for preaching, for praying, for studying, for doing anything else that is good." (Martin Luther)
- "Holy and lawful fasting has three objectives... to weaken and subdue the flesh, or that we may be better prepared for prayers and holy meditations, or that it may be a testimony of our self-abasement before God when we wish to confess our guilt before him." (John Calvin)
- Throughout its course, the life of the godly indeed ought to be tempered with frugality and sobriety." (John Calvin)
- "... although these abstinences give some pain to the body, yet they so lessen the power of bodily appetites and passions, and so increase our taste of spiritual joys, ..."(William Law)
- "...Fasting helps to express, to deepen, and to confirm the resolution that we are ready to sacrifice anything, even ourselves, to attain the Kingdom of God." (Andrew Murray)
- "When the flesh is satisfied, it is hard to pray with cheerfulness or to devote oneself to a life of service which calls for much self-renunciation." (Dietrich Bonhoffer)
- "Fasting is the most effective help for a religious who has vowed chastity. Fantasies no longer appear during the happy hours of physiological freedom..., and the rest of the time, they are easily controlled and eliminated." (Adalbert DeVogue)
- "... a certain mastery of the primordial appetite, eating, permits a greater mastery of the other manifestations of the libido and agressiveness. It is as if the man who fasts were more himself, in possession of his true identity, and less dependent on exterior objects and the impulses they arouse..." (Adalbert DeVogue)
- "Self indulgence is the enemy of gratitude, and self-discipline usually its friend and generator. This is why gluttony is a deadly sin. The early desert fathers believed that a person's appetites are linked: full stomachs and jaded palates take the edge from our hunger and thirst for righteousness. They spoil the appetite for God." (Cornelius Platinga, Jr.)
and many more profound God-centered views on fasting which I'm afraid if I write further, I might spoil your reading experience. Fasting (and prayer) are a way to be truly happy in God by stripping ourselves of lesser pleasures to gain greater ones, for in his presence is fullness of joy and at his right hand is pleasure forevermore, Amen.
A Hunger for God.......2007-01-25
Exceptionally well written, page turner and very exciting to get a closer understanding of God!
Instructive and Inspiring.......2007-01-17
As a Christian, I have a difficult time desiring to fast and then successfully fasting after deciding to do it. John Piper's book has been helpful on both counts. He shows readers why to fast and helps to create a desire to seek God and seek God's will through fasting and prayer. He also provides guidance regarding the correct attitudes and motives for fasting.
His review of scriptures and historical writings regarding fasting are instructive and enlightening. He shows that fasting is much more than just not eating; he provides the parameters that make fasting an effective tool in our Christian walk. He also notes some of the dangers of fasting for the wrong reasons. He offers very solid theology behind fasting.
He includes a chapter on fasting and praying on behalf of unborn babies and writes of the power of God to change hearts of all people in response to prayer. This is a moving chapter that like the others is inspiring.
Overall, Piper leads readers to see fasting as an activity to draw one closer to God and to bring one into God's will and experience. This is a book that has an immediate positive effect on your spirituality.
Top of the List of Must Reads.......2006-03-18
One of the best books I've ever read, particularly if you are fasting. It takes away the legalism so many of us attach to fasting and puts the focus where it should be. Excellent read...I've recommended it to many friends.
Consistent Piper.......2006-02-03
Pros:
>> Piper is all of consistency in the books that he writes: the supremacy of God's glory in Christ and our joy found in that grace.
>> A good grasp and expounding upon a little talked about subject matter (Christian fasting).
>> A clear communication of what Christian fasting is and what it isn't.
>> Very practical helps and suggestions along the way.
>> Biblical proofs underlying important points in the subject matter
>> Ease of reading: it's a short work with easy language
Cons:
>> Seemingly selective arguments - it's easy to cry out against abortion, but what of the destruction of the environment, the loss of community, and a general lack of critical thought amongst Christians?
>> Ambiguity: What exactly should we fast for when we fast "for the sake of the poor," or "for the little ones." There is a lot of gravity to the arguments, but not necessarily a lot of substantive practicalities.
If not repetitive, Piper always works magnificent in consistently communicating that we are created for the glory of God manifest through our enjoyment of Him. Hunger is not exactly an exhaustive treatment on the subject of fasting, but it brings great understanding, practicality, and relevance to a topic that doesn't seem to be widely practiced or discussed: Christian fasting.
The first two chapters in Hunger develop the argument that Christian fasting is biblical, pertinent, and necessary for the work of ministry. Chapters 3 through 5 project a broad scope and purpose in the discipline of Christian fasting. The final two chapters (6 and 7) bring the subject matter unto two very cohesive points: fasting for the sake of the poor and fasting for the sake of the unborn (in regard to the prevalence of abortion).
As in most circles, I think that Pipers views against abortion come down harder than his views against poverty. Respectfully, while neither of the specific arguments he augments here are necessarily weak, a correlation between the two is never expounded upon. However, this is a book on fasting and its practicalities therein and not a tome written to document the prevailing issues of abortion and poverty.
Do read this book. I have a lot of respect for John Piper because he has maintained such a wonderful and biblical view of God and does so well at communicating Him. A Hunger for God is no exception to Piper's mantra, "God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him." The point of the text is to communicate that true fasting reveals the absolutely needy and truly desperate heart and soul of a Christian and that the God who is there is delighted and gracious in meeting our needs and desperation. The book is a challenge to a Christian society where there is a dearth of humble hearts and a wealth of material possession. It provides a few practical suggestions along the way and does much to help develop the thought life of Christians who see to know God more through this discipline.

Dr. Larry Crabb helps readers understand that instead of using God to solve their problems, they need to use their problems to find God.

SUPER--naturally It's by Larry Crabb!.......2007-07-24
This is one of the best books I have ever read! I have read almost every one of Larry Crabb's books and haven't been disappointed in any of them. This one is excellent. I highlighted so many of the pages and will read it again and again. I 'found' God in ways I had not done so before. I Highly recommend this book!
Finding God.......2007-05-15
This is a nice book although a little difficult to read. I think that in order to get everything that the author wants to pass, we need to read it at least twice.
where's the time to read this every month?.......2007-04-03
If it were possible for me to read this book every month, I would be so glad. This book is life-changing. It opened my eyes to things in my life that I have struggled with. I have new insights and power to receive God's help and power. I can't recommend this book enough.
Life Changing.......2003-06-11
Well, I'm not sure that I have the ability to express my sentiments and thoughts any better than the other reviewers here, but with the hope of perhaps affecting one reader, I'll share a slightly different experience...
I read this book at a time when my life was falling apart. My marriage was in shambles, my business was bordering bankruptcy, my faith was wavering, and I didn't know what else to do or where else to turn. I didn't know whether or not to pray scriptures, get on my knees 3 times/day, get counseling, rebuke Satan, start fasting, give more money to church, or drop down and just want to die.
The point is that many of these things are well and good in and of themselves, but they have very little to do with understanding and trusting God. He's not a magic Geenie, He's not here for our personal material comforts, and much of today's teachings about God seem to lead us toward Him with the expectation that He'll solve our problems and make things better here on earth.
Dr. Larry Crabb truly puts life's difficulties into perspective and certainly helped me to turn to the Lord and turn away from trying to use "tricks" to get Him to do what I want. That alone is worth all of the pain and suffering I've been through.
Hope this helps. God Bless.
One of those books that drives it home.......2003-06-02
Finding God speaks honestly and openly about the pain and hardship in our circumstances. Larry Crabb writes about the hurt in the loss of his brother in a plane crash and how this pain has impacted his walk with Christ. He lends his own insights as to the why and the answers God won't provide as well as what He does provide.
Book Description
In refreshingly unconventional prose, rising theologian Wendy Farley has written a theological account of the human condition that delves into the deepest dimensions of the soul. Considering human life from the perspective of the wounding and healing of desire, with desire being that within us which longs for connection, home, and beauty, Farley presents a passionate, moving account of the human condition that draws strongly upon the Christian meditative and mystical spiritual traditions. Using the medieval mystic Mechthild of Madgeburg as her guide, Farley shifts the traditional images of sin and redemption into images of healing and power. The result is a theological memoir that reaches into the human depths and draws forth a response of the soulin courage, compassion, and delight.

Redemption of Desire .......2006-10-03
Compellingly written, book offers precious and incisive wisdom about the transformative experiences that accompany our discovery of the nature of the enduring desires that bring us into greater intimacy with our souls, selves, lives, those of others, and perhaps even the loving divine that made us thus. Offering insights from experiences all too famiiar to those willing to face the most vulnerable truths about our human existence -- Farley offers a description of reality that is neither easily dismissed or embraced. Human nature is neither despised, nor demonized; neither romanticized nor justified. But for those aching for the grace of a kairos moment, reading the wisdom (her sources spanning the spectrum from Julian of Norwich to Apalachian folk music to the mothers' of tortured children in South America, to the irritating donkey in Shrek) offered in this latest of WF's works will be akin to finding an oasis. There is something profoundly empowering, even vindicating, about learning that the very vulnerabilities that can destin us to struggle and suffer (even so unbearably) in body, mind, and soul, nevertheless also mediate for us such incredible blessedess -- known best through struggling to contemplate Holy Love. It is not possible to lay down her work without having grown tremendously aware of the beauty of being human -- and perhaps not a little weepy with gratitude.

This is right up there.......2001-05-26
Great books have a ring of truth to them. As you read, you can feel the truth resonating in your soul. Neale does a superb job of letting Spirit flow thru him into our hearts and minds. If you haven't read any of the CWG books, I recommend that you give them a chance. As to which, I have trouble distinguishing. It's like asking me which was my favorite time connecting with someone I love.
The most dramatic and significant thing in my life........1999-12-29
I have been on several journies in my lifetime, most of them have been bitter experiences. I have been asking questions about my existence and reasons for being in this universe. I have questioned the authority of the church and christianity in my life and the lives of others.
I am an African, and I have witnessed different spiritual powers and and different ways of worshipping and interacting with God. I have spoken with the dead aand it is for real!
Finally, I was in a bookstore in Holland ono faithful afternoon, very depressed and asking God why I have to go through so much hardship in my life, when I accidentally stumbled onto this great book. It has really changed my life. I believe that something propelled me towards this book. I believe that God has finally aanswered my call. I also believe that I deserve to have this great revealation because I have chosen to know the truth. However, I have finally realised that religion is jusst a vehicle used by people to gratify there selfish needs. I have since been living in peace.
This book will keep gravitating to those who are ready for it and no church nor authority in this universe can stop the intensity the message is radiating all over the world.
I choose to wish the messages in these books for my fellow travelers and may your lights continue to shine O Illuminatis!
the book is excellent. Walsch captures the essence of truth.......1998-11-02
in reading the first book of conversations with God it brought the realization to my inner self that we do have freedom of choice and why would God interfere with that choice. The book was so simple in the writings and yet right to the point. It reveals all the questions that people do have. It opens up our thoughts to realize that other persons experiences are given to us and if we do not do it their way than we are wrong. The book was right when it said that there is no right and there is no wrong who are we to judge others. Very good conversation, the truth is the truth and I am looking forward to reading the other books that have come out. Someone gave me this book as a gift to me and what a gift it has been.
this god reflects the bias of the author's unconscious.......1998-03-05
Though Walsch no doubt believes he had conversations with God, a much simpler explanation is that he had an unusual experience of getting in touch with his unconscious. Some would say that this is the same thing, since either A) the the unconscience is God, or B) God speaks to us primarily through the unconscious, anyway. Walsch tries to give us the impression that these conversatons are with THE God, the Universal God, of everything. But, it appears that the god that Mr Walsch is talking to is a highly personal one, with ready answers to the deep personal travails that he is having, and, if it's his unconscience, has a complete memory of his total life's experiences. The god of a more educated person will by necessity have a wider variety of experiences to draw on,and these will be reflected in the god's answers. For instance, Walsch's god, in trying to express his trinity, compares it to the id, the ego, and the super-id of psychology and again later, the body, the mind, and the spirit. Then he says this is equivalent to energy, matter, and anti-matter of the scientists. This reflects a naivete' of both sciences. Physics and Psychology would have alot to say about this speculation, were they inclined to so indulge. I think, perhaps space, time, and matter mght be a better trilogy, where matter consists of both mass and energy, and where space and time are just two different aspects of the ame continuum. But, matter and anti-matter are not so different, and make a lousy illustration of the point. Are we to believe that a universal God would give us a lousy illustration? No, but I think the example is sufficient for Walsch, so his god offers it match his level of understanding. This god says that he has divided himself in order to experience himself discovering himself, and that therefore, our ultimate quest is to discover Who We Are. This sounds good, and comes in part from Eastern religeons, but one wonders if the dynosaurs were also doing this self-discovery? Was evolution strictly designed to lead to humans, or were the dynos searching their souls for a couple of hundred millon years? Was there a dyno Moses who said that dynosaurs were made in the image and likeness of God? Maybe there was also a dyno Neale D Walsch telling them to find out Who You Are. And, when the experiment was all over, the total unconscious of all the dynosaurs brought on the fatal comet. More questions and comments to come.
Amazing.......1998-02-16
I was given this book by a stranger. Someone I met one night. It has been the most amazing gift. "it was meant to be" The message in this book changed my life, I in turn gifted it to a friend of mine who was anxiously waiting to buy it, she told me, "Thank you, you have made my weekend". I responded "this book will make your life". I would like to respond to all of those individuals who have harsh negative comments on this book. You are entitled to your own opinion and that opinion is based on your own perception of things. However, the message is very clear. If you do not see the message that is gifted to you via this book, you are at a different stage in your path, You are probably not ready now.

Helpful Words From a Gifted Spiritual Writer.......2003-10-19
William Barry, SJ is a gifted spiritual writer in the Jesuit tradition. GOD'S PASSIONATE DESIRE AND OUR RESPONSE is one of his strongest works. This book, like Barry's other books, centers around the premise that people want to be in relationship with God, but God also wants to be in relationship with us. Doing the will of God for Barry is not simply doing what God asks of us, but our discovering God's will through discernment. We do not do God's will simply because we have to out of obedience, but rather because God's will is the deepest desire of our heart.
The book is divided into seventeen chapters, and each chapter reads like a mini retreat talk or homily. While the chapters can be read individually, one seems to build upon another so it is best to read the book sequentially. The book starts with our basic relationship with God, our attraction to God as well as our resistance. The book delves briefly into a theology of God (Does God need us, what is our role in God's plan, etc.). The purpose of the theology is to help the reader think about God in both familiar and different ways. Finally the book concludes with what we do with our prayer and discernment, namely how we do God's will in our world. Barry is able to blend the spiritual and contemplative side of our lives and how this spiritual and contemplative side can lead us into action in our world.
Perhaps the reason the reflections Fr. Barry offers in this book can be so helpful is due to his training as a Jesuit and his work as a spiritual director. The Jesuit tradition is evident in his writings, but his chapters also show both his own spiritual progress as well as the insights he has gained as a spiritual director helping others draw closer to God.
Ok, but I wish Father Barry dug a little deeper.......2002-01-31
With this book, Father Barry helped me to come to a deeper understanding of God. However, I feel that if this book was taken a step further it would have been a lot more worth the read.

Great Book.......2003-03-15
There are not many christian books out there the could describe what a true worshiper is. And I dont think you could really truly define what worship is. But Paster Sam Hinn did a great job with this book on explaining as best as he could to explain what is true worship. All I can say, is that after reading this book, I have this hunger to persue GOD to live a life style of a true worshiper.
Paster Sam thank you for writing this book. You are blessing to me and my family.
A wonderful book!!.......2002-10-26
Are you hungry for more of God in your life? Do you want to live in His presence...to truly KNOW Him and not just know about Him? If so, I encourage you to read this book, for I promise it's message will touch your life, as it has my own.
This book is full of truths about worship and our relationship with God, and helps teach us not to just see God as our Creator and Lord, but as our Daddy, through worship and intimate moments with Him. This book helps God's people to become worship, instead of just having a time of worship. There is a paragraph in the book that just sums it up for me...."Worship is the all-consuming, never-ending focus of your life. Worship is your calling as a child of God...worship is a life totally consumed with a passionate love for God. Worship is a life that is continually kissing the face of God."
Pastor Sam talks about the importance of being still in the Lord's presence, for "as you listen to God's whispers, your ear will be close to God's lips". He also shares about the importance of prayer, as prayer is our lifeline to God and enables us to receive all His promises.
In this book, Sam talks about the hungering heart of Moses and the true meaning of God's glory. This book encourages it's readers to "never lose the simplicity of just falling in love with Jesus and simply blowing Him a big kiss".
Pastor Sam is so real and that "realness" and his kindness, humility, and hunger and passion for Jesus shine through in this book. He has such a heart for people and obviously desires to use his own experiences and revelations to encourage, teach and help other to grow in their relationship with the Master.
I don't know what else to say but that I highly recommend this book...from the moment I picked it up, I couldn't put it down. I'm so hungry for more of Jesus in my life and I want to kiss the face of God with my life. God bless!
