Past life regressions are fascinating to consider, but have you ever wondered what happens between lives? In Destiny of Souls hypnotherapist Michael Newton asks dozens of his own patients to describe their lives from the moment of death right up until reincarnation into this world. Newton described this journey in his first book, Journey of Souls, and now takes us back for a second trip that is described in infinitely more detail. Of therapeutic interest is how spirits contact the living to help loved ones they've left behind deal with their grief. Newton assures readers that they will reconnect with those who have gone before them, even their pets. He answers the full range of questions one could ever think to ask about life after death: How can a soul be in heaven and reincarnate at the same time? How are new souls created? How are souls who've done evil on earth punished? These and many other questions are answered with surprising congruity between respondents.

Book Description

In this fascinating sequel to his controversial and popular Journey of Souls, Michael Newton explores what happens to the soul after death. Among other topics of enduring mystery, he addresses angels, ghosts, reincarnation, why certain people are drawn together, and what lessons the soul is intended to learn, casting new light on life's events and relationships.

5 out of 5 stars I give all of Michael Newton's works 10 STARS!!.......2007-08-11

As someone who's spent the last 35 years uncovering and writing about my own past lives, and studying how the karma from each of them has played out in the events and relationships of my present life, I suppose I bring something of a unique perspective to Dr Michael Newton's extraordinary trilogy, "Journey of Souls," "Destiny of Souls," and "Life Between Lives." Even after uncovering three of my own historically identifiable, though far from famous, past personas, I was still frustrated that neither I, nor any of the writers I had consulted seem to be able to throw any light on the issue of what happens to us between lifetimes.

But then, I discovered the works of Michael Newton, arguably the most important and most fascinating accounts of this entire genre. By directing the focus of his subjects away from their subconscious and toward their super-conscious, it seems Dr Newton succeeded in accessing a spiritual dimension previously untapped by the vast majority of researchers in this field. Once there, he was able to painstakingly document over many years what is undoubtedly one of the most comprehensive, detailed and believable models of what takes place in the afterlife anyone has ever put forward. Most importantly, it portrays in very convincing terms just how each of us goes about planning and designing our future lives. And once we absorb such a concept it becomes difficult for anyone to fail to take responsibility for their own lives, even with all its challenges and disappointments.

As fate would have it, I discovered Newton's works just after reading "Same Soul, Many Bodies" by the prolific Dr Brian Weiss. In it he discusses his experiences with "future life progression" as a technique for inspiring and motivating patients to change the directions of their lives by revealing the potentialities awaiting them in future incarnations, if they can just make the right choices in the here-and-now.

Comparing the claims of Dr Weiss with those of Dr Newton seemed to leave me with something of a paradox, which was namely this: If Dr Newton was correct that when we die we return to the spiritual realm to take on the work of planning and designing our next life, how would it be possible for Dr Weiss to explore our future lives while we are still alive, since the planning process had not taken place yet?

To resolve this conundrum I decided to have a chat with my spirit guide, Prakash. He first reminded me that linear time is only an operable construct in the physical dimension, and that from the perspective of the spiritual realm all physical incarnations co-exist simultaneously in a moment of eternity. Therefore, it follows that all those between life episodes that Dr Newton describes likewise exist in that same simultaneous eternity. The only reason is seems confusing is because Dr Newton is exploring and reporting what appears to be a linear sequence of lives and their related planning episodes, which necessarily skews his perspective due to his viewing the information from his location here in this dimension of linear time.

This gave me an idea. From all of my past lives that I have explored over the last three decades, two have stood out as closely related, even though they were separated by 700 years. The first was my life as Genghis Khan's nephew Yegu, and the second was my life as Field Marshall Count Helmuth von Moltke (the younger), nephew of von Moltke (the elder), his uncle and namesake, the military genius and hero of the Franco-Prussian War who helped Bismarck unite the German Empire. In the first life the plan for me to succeed my uncle Genghis failed, but in the second I did succeed my uncle as Chief of the German General Staff prior to and during the initial phases of WW I. As you might suspect, von Moltke (the elder) was a reincarnation of Genghis Khan.

What occurred to me is that exploring the planning stages of these two incarnations in tandem would provide a rare opportunity to see this whole planning process at its most complex. Fortunately, Dr Newton's third book, "Life Between Lives" was designed as something of a do-it-yourself training manual for just such explorations. So I guess that will be my next project.

5 out of 5 stars Even better than the first book.......2007-07-18

Deeper insight than the first book "Journey of Souls" , couldn't put the book down.

5 out of 5 stars A more detailed "Journey of the Souls".......2007-06-13

Exactly as the subject line says.

Read "Journey of the Souls". If you like that one AND you are into research and detailed info, then this book is for you. If you were convinced by Journey of the Souls and are the type of person that does not like to be bogged down with details, then I'd skip this one... Well unless you want the complete set :)

I am glad I bought it and would buy book 3 if he writes one and it had more detailed case studies.

5 out of 5 stars The Great Lesson of Earth.......2007-06-01

Like JOURNEY OF SOULS, this book is not some trivial, New Age potboiler. I read it cover-to-cover (and intend to do so again) and I have found it to be quite satisfying and believable. It goes into much greater detail than the first volume with many more case studies. An example of the further detail is the chapter on earthly spirits (nature spirits, ghosts, souls in seclusion, discarnates who visit earth, and demons or devas), and the chapter on soul specializations (nursery teachers, ethicists, harmonizer souls, masters of design, explorers...)

As I said before, I know some people are going to automatically reject it because it relies on hypnotherapy. They are going to assume that the hypnotist implanted false memories among his clients. At the very least, they are going to claim that networking between the 67 clients covered in these case studies resulted in the remarkable consistency among them. This does not appear to be the case. The author holds a Ph.D. in counseling and is a state-certified Master Hypnotherapist. He is aware of the common criticisms and he makes a believable case for why they do not apply in his work. I believed him.

Once again, the overall consistency between the 67 cases is remarkable. Different terminology and symbolism is occasionally used but it is obvious that the same things are being described. What we have is an orderly picture of classification of soul development and of the structure of the spiritual world. It is remarkably similar to that described in different language over the millennia by shamans, the Vedas, the Platonists, the Gnostics. It also reminds one of the experiences of Robert Monroe and of George Meek in more modern times. Yet, you do not get the impression that the author or his subjects were overly familiar with these teachings at the time of the sessions. It is like the spontaneous symbolism that Jung described as arising from the collective unconscious; only in this case the source is the hyperconscious- the realm of soul guides.

We forfeit our physical body after death but our eternal life energy unites with the force of a divine oversoul in an orderly progression. Our soul reflects a small portion of this oversoul that we call God.

As it clearly states near the end of the book, the great lesson of Earth is to overcome both planetary and private destructive forces in life, grow strong from the effort, and move on. But then earth isn't the only available learning ground...

4 out of 5 stars Expands on First book.......2007-04-05

Mr. Newton expands on the work of his first book with plenty of new information. This book, as the first, is written based on information that Michael Newton has gained from hundreds of clients that have experienced life "on the other side", or in heaven. The first book guides you through the process chronologically after death, this book basically expands on the first without a chronological format. Has interesting new info, like, where do new souls come from? Are their pets in heaven, and if so, do we have access to them? Recommend reading his first book first, but it 's not necessary.

Book Description

Courageous Souls explores the premise that we are all eternal souls who plan our lives, including our greatest challenges, prior to birth for purposes of spiritual growth. The book contains ten true stories of people who planned physical illness, having handicapped children, deafness, blindness, drug addiction, alcoholism, losing a loved one, and severe accidents. Because very different life challenges are often planned for similar reasons, readers who have not faced these specific challenges will nevertheless see themselves - and their motivations as a soul - in these stories. As readers come to realize that they themselves planned their lives, suffering that once seemed purposeless becomes imbued with deep meaning. Wisdom may be acquired in a more conscious manner; feelings of anger, guilt, blame, and victimization are replaced by acceptance, forgiveness, peace, and gratitude.

2 out of 5 stars not credible.......2007-09-30

I got to p. 300 and started reading another book. I found this book painstakingly slow to read, the information provided by the mediums: farfetched, and the conclusions drawn by the author, hard to swallow. Often, when mediums are tired, their accuracy rate diminishes. I never heard of any of the mediums used in this book. Robert Schwartz makes everything so complicated when the subject matter is really quite easy to understand. The book just doesn't flow easily and it's not a page turner in my opinion. I'm a believer, but this book really is a waste of time and money. Read Journey of the Soul by Michael Newton, PhD. Instead of using mediums, he enters the superconsciousness of his clients and elicits information from them directly about their experiences on The Other Side.

5 out of 5 stars An Empowering Way to Reframe Painful Challenges in Our Lives.......2007-09-17

It has been said that asking oneself the question, "Who was I before I was born?" can teach us the most about our true spiritual identity -- yet few of us have been so enlightened as to have heard the full reply. COURAGEOUS SOULS takes this starting point one step further by exploring just how we may have crafted our entire life around all of our life circumstances -- both the high and the low points.

What sets Robert Schwartz's book apart from other books about spirituality, reincarnation and the afterlife is his organized use of intuitive readings as companion pieces to accompany the various life stories he includes. These intuitive sessions provide a deep sense of interconnectedness and unconditional love shared in our lifetimes which we sometimes lose sight of, as well as insights into how we continue learning life lessons from one life to the next. The stories include descriptions of people who have experienced tremendous suffering who are greatly inspired and relieved to see an underlying sense of purpose and meaning to all they have gone through.

COURAGEOUS SOULS is an exceptional book for anyone interested in exploring the true nature of their spiritual identity, who is willing to keep an open mind regarding the value of some of the most painful challenges we humans face in our lives on Earth; this is highly recommended reading for anyone seeking to reframe and find deeper meaning from the painful challenges, setbacks or hardships in their lives.

5 out of 5 stars Some of life's challenges explained........2007-09-06

.
Before I even finished reading this book, I ordered more and had them sent to my friends. This book is amazing.

Told through many soul journies, Robert Schwartz brought in the talents of true mediums who were able to discover decisions that these people made before they were born - again. He did not use just one medium, but several, and they are listed in the back of the book. The individuals who shared their stories are also listed with email addresses -- and if they are able and have the time they will answer your questions.

This book came to me at a time I really needed to be reminded of my own experiences through many lives and the time between our next life. The stories are beautiful because they are able to explain why certain tragedies happen to a person.

I highly recommend this book, especially to those with open and searching minds.

5 out of 5 stars Why Human Challenges Exist!.......2007-08-28

Courageous Souls is highly recommended to anyone trying to understand the suffering, tragedy or loss that has caused them to question life, death and/or God. And who among us is not inflicted by such challenges and questions in our lifetime? In my eight years researching life after death, spirituality and life purpose, I have discovered no better explanation of why human challenges exist than what is so eloquently written in Robert Schwartz's book.

5 out of 5 stars Book Review.......2007-08-24

"Courageous Souls: Do We Plan Our Life Challenges Before Birth?" by Robert Schwartz is probably one of the most important books of our time, if not the most important. Here Robert explores the spiritual mysteries of why life paths sometimes seem difficult, challenging and perhaps even impossible. He explores and answers that deeply troubling and ever-present question of, "Why do bad things happen to good people?" Through the service of mediums, clairvoyants, trance channels, i.e., those we have come to term in general, as "psychics," who can connect with guides, angels, and the higher selves of those who have courageously stepped forward to be included in this fascinating subject matter, we discover many surprising truths. These truths can then, in turn, be applied to our own lives and experiences. This book has the potential to be life-altering for so many and comes forth at a time when everyone questions the real meaning of their existence here. The information contained in this book is beyond valuable. In addition, the author's innate compassion and his thorough approach of getting to the heart of the answers of the great mysteries of life, shines thorough like a guiding beacon for all. This is a must read for any who consider themselves on the spiritual path and also to those who are still searching for the path. - Dyan Garris - Author, Psychic, New Age Recording Artist.

3 out of 5 stars missing elements .......2007-04-28

If you are a person who is already deeply connected to yourself, this may be the book for you. However, if life has "conspired" to prevent you from feeling connected to yourself, you may be better off finding out who you really are first, THEN going into a program of psychic development like Sonia Choquette's. That said, other books have been written by people with great psychic abilities who actually address connecting to yourself through vocal toning, grounding (only minimally discussed by Ms. Choquette), and connecting with nature, all of which seem to be essential building blocks on a path toward the successful intuitive life. One of these books is The Beckoning Song of Your Soul by Nancy Marie. Another is Reconnecting with Nature, by Dr. Michael J. Cohen. Dr. Cohen's book is about "finding wellness through restoring our bond with the Earth. Most of us have been conditioned to ignore nearly 50 sensitivities that connect us to the natural world. This separation stress contributes to many of our environmental and personal problems." Including access to psychic abilities.

You may already have a great connection to yourself and to the earth. If so, go for Sonia's book!

I love all of Sonia`s books. They are the easiest to read and most enjoyable "self help" books I have ever read. I would recommend her books to anyone even if they aren't on a spiritual path to learn how to be psychic.
Her books are a gift and I am always sad when they end.

5 out of 5 stars Banish your fear of Death!.......2007-08-24

Physics of the Soul: The Quantum Book of Living, Dying, Reincarnation and Immortality by Amit Goswami was for me a look at the possibility that life continues on. I am a believer in God, so what was I worried about? Because not much is said about our state of existence in the scriptures, except for resurrection, then heaven. But where is heaven, our personality? Our soul. If there is no such thing as communicating with the deceased, then why do we as Christian profess the "communion with Saints"? I got a clear picture of some of these things in Mr. Goswami's book. By the way you will want to read all of his books!

5 out of 5 stars excellent food for thought.......2007-04-04

As a student of Dr. Goswami, i very much enjoyed his thoughts and the models that he proposes. While so many in hte west have been taught since childhood that we have a 'soul', we're never given much of a context within which to hold that concept. Dr. Goswami provides some interesting models, based on The Upanishads, that i am still thinking about and applying months after first reading this book. If you are a student of consciousness, metaphysics, or just curious about the possibilities, Physics of the Soul is a must read.

5 out of 5 stars Paradigm of The Quantum Monad, Jivaman, Eternal Soul.......2005-05-14

Interesting book. Here Amit Goswami attempts to validate the paradigm of a soul that survives the body eternally based on quantum physics. In this "monistic idealism" he equates the soul with the quantum monad and the Jivaman of Sri Aurobindo and the Atman in Hindu Vedic philosophy. This book is another paradigm that supposedly contains the answers to the surviving soul or quantum monad, the subtle body which enters a nonlocality (a connection of potentialities connecting every point in space an time) and carries our tendencies and phobias with us to our next reincarnation. How the purpose of life is a play or battle of two forces, creativity and entropy

Some of the book is on quantum mechanics, how matter gets bogged down in stubborn paradoxes and quantum measurement paradox, and so his science, as in Sri Aurobindo's, is the subtle, the supramental, mental and vital experiences, a science of consciousness and nonlocality where the quantum jumps take place in webs of interdependent connections.

Thought is conveyed of the six bardos found in the Tibetan Book of the Dead and their relation to the human memory of information that dies with us at death and the quantum monad & quantum memory, which he believes carries the tendencies and habitual patterns in each reincarnation. This of course takes us to angels and higher beings of consciousness, death yoga, karma, maya Akashic memory, techniques of meditation, creative thought verses thought, potentiality and the range of choices of actuality. And the idea of the self is all - solipsism, the ideas of how our consciousness collapses the potentialities, turning it into the reality.

I enjoyed the suggestion of three Tibetan practices of one: the death prayer or the Hindu bhakti yoga of devotion to a deity. This is usually done with a private and personal mantra. Two: living a life of service and sacrifice, the attitude that is, is one of service and applied positive meaning. "Instead of looking at pain and suffering and recoiling from the, we embrace pain and suffering to relieve not any pain but the pain of humanity." p. 194. In this, we mentally visualize ourselves containing all consciousness - solipsism, and the power to heal and extend love to all beings. We sacrifice ourselves in this mental capacity and breathing techniques. And Three: Jnana yoga of effortless contemplation, that of concentrating without concentrating or focusing without concentrating, the paradox of concentrative energy while relaxing your mind and this allows you to enter beyond the discursive thought processes to the silent consciousness of the observer self..

I particularly enjoyed a 4 page thought on Involution and Evolution. While in evolution we expand and raise ourselves to the whole, in involution we contract and lower to separate fragmentation in grosser levels, forgetting itself, and decreasing freedom. It is a play of consciousness where there really is no separation but rather consciousness forgets itself for the sake of play, it pretends to forget.

The last chapter of the book gives a good summary on nine interpretations of the soul and its survival and journey.

3 out of 5 stars On the right track, but..........2004-04-21

Mr Goswami appears to be on the right track with this research, however where the book falls down is that the sources he cites in support of his argument seem to be taken at such face value. I find this lack of 'scientific' methodology quite surprising since he has taught physics for 32 years. Certainly I agree with Mr Goswami that the standard 'proofs' are not available for this work, but even so, he needs to find a middle road, so that it doesn't just end up as just another 'new age' book. And that would be a shame! Somewhat different, but a good example would be 'Old Souls : Compelling Evidence from Children Who Remember Past Lives' by Thomas Shroder. In addition, chatty idea's sessions with his wife, limit one's ability to take his writing seriously. Finally, Mr Goswami should pick up the phone and call his publisher, who just-so-happens to publish 'Astral Dynamics: A New Approach to Out-of-Body Experiences' by Robert Bruce. Goswami will have many questions answered by reading this book. And, in the case of Bruce, I was willing to ignore any lack of scientific method, because from the moment you pick up the book, you KNOW that he knows what he is talking about. By comparison, Bruce's book is a groundbreaker.

4 out of 5 stars The esoteric made understandable.......2002-01-04

When death occurs in the family, our rational minds cry out to know more about life after death. Religions offer consolation that God is love and there is heaven beyond, but we wonder if there are any confirmations from studies of human minds which open doors to the after-life. Accordingly we have eagerly picked up books promising answers only to be quickly disappointed. Too many scientific words such as collective unconscious, determinism, morphogenetic fields, non-locality, etc., at best leave our minds only dimly grasping the author's intent. Reading into other cultures about dharma, maya, moksha, jivanmukta and vedanta, will cause us to send another promising book back to the library, or our lower book shelves, unread.
Aware of this too often encountered problem, the author of Physics of the Soul, has included a thirteen page glossary explaining the meaning and purpose of the lesser known words he has used. To those attempting to become adequate in reading this and similar books, such a service is a godsend. Using Goswami's glossary, we can not only understand his Physics of the Soul, but also, find light from numerous books previously beyond our comprehension.
Amit Goswami, along with other writers who have given many lectures and workshops, is aware of certain frequently asked questions. These he thoughtfully answers in chapter eleven. Here again, Physics of the Soul should draw, and hold, a much wider circle of readers than most books on similar esoteric concerns.

Book Description

Use a scientifically proven method to harness your inborn psychic abilities and achieve breakthroughs in everyday life!

Everyone has occasional psychic experiences, but few people realize that it is possible to access E.S.P. on command. Using his extensive study of biomedical chemistry and brain science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Pete A. Sanders, Jr., has developed a method to show how we can tap into our psychic abilities at will to expand our knowledge and gain control of our destiny.

By sharing the techniques that he and his instructors have taught to more than half a million people, You Are Psychic! offers a program of simple exercises to teach you how to:

* Experience nine senses, instead of only five.

* Locate the body's four Psychic Reception Areas and find out whether you are strongest in psychic vision, hearing, intuition, or feeling.

* Tap your extrasensory awareness whenever you wish.

* Use your psychic abilities to improve your professional success, your relationships, and your creativity, and to heal your body.

* Apply your sharpened perceptual powers to solve complex problems and handle difficult people.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Book, I Highly Recommend It To Anyone Interested in Developing Psychic Abilities.......2006-08-26

What a delight! This book has a charming style of writing, easy to follow exercises and you feel like you sat and chatted with Pete Sanders about his ideas. I have really enjoyed the book and have read it and reread it several times. I even picked up the entire Free Soul Correspondence Course and will be starting that after my house guests leave...

If you are a basic person, one that has not experienced NDEs, was not born knowing or seeing visions from birth (those are the lucky ones) YOU will benefit from this book. It tells you how to work hard, practice and tune into your intuitive abilities.

YES! Buy it, enjoy it and go forth and be psychic!

5 out of 5 stars This book is amazing and will open your mind up........2006-08-14

The most striking part of this book for me was the aura vision. Within a few hours of attempting to see auras I was able to see the auras around plants, animals, and people. It was fun and exciting to walk around work and see the auras of my co-workers and know how to treat them based on their aura. It is astounding how much of a difference a little knowledge of one's own body and soul can make. This book is a must read for anyone who believes there is more to life than they can only see with their eyes.

5 out of 5 stars WOW.......2005-12-17

No other book with pychic exercisices worked forme- EXCEPT THISE ONE! Great book, packed with easy to understand information. HIGHLY reccomended.

5 out of 5 stars Quality book.......2005-08-31

I went through the phase that a lot of people interested in metaphysical subjects go through. I read all these books on psychic phenomina, and how to books, but nothing seemed to work even when I practiced the exercises rigorously. Pete Sanders' book is one that I highly recommend on the subject of developing psychic potential. It has been the only book I have read ( so far ) that I have actually seen results from. After practicing the exercises in the book, that same day I had three "coincidences" and these continued to occur in the following week very often! I highly recommend this book, and sticking with the exercises are definitely recommended for developing psychic potential.

5 out of 5 stars You Are Paychic!: The Free Soul Method.......2005-08-21

What an easy to read and dynamic book. The techniques are explained clearly and are easy to implement and make a part of my every day life. Any one who has had deja vu or has known who was calling when the phone rang, will quickly appreciate and learn how to further develop these intuitive tools and more.

Book Description

Nexus offers an engaging and insightful journey of an odd mix of people drawn together to a spiritual retreat to overcome personal pain. This book will please readers of spiritual, new age, inspirational, self-help and visionary fiction books. It weaves insights within the narrative like The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield and The Peaceful Warrior series by Dan Millman.

Starting with a dramatic suicide scene through intimate details of the struggle of Logan Andrews with depression and despair, we are brought on a journey of inner struggle and personal transformation. The reader is transported to a spiritual retreat where the experiences of people at the retreat provide illuminating life lessons. The tone of book creates an authentic journey that is both exploratory and insightful.

The overriding theme in Nexus is mystical in its nature, narrating experiences of deeper connection felt with one another and all of life. This is poignantly highlighted in key passages, including Logan's empathy for a dying fish in Chapter 6.

5 out of 5 stars Need for Spiritual Change.......2007-07-01

I've read many spiritual books and this one really spoke to me with a story that communicated about both the highs and lows of spiritual life through the touching journey of people at a retreat center. Each person in the story is dealing with their own sorrow from the depression-despair of Logan, Sarah's loss of direction and Muriel's desire to be comforted in her old age. Steven is fixated on his money-making schemes and in order for him to experience growth, he needs to connect to the path of love.

The story speaks of something deeper - a need for spiritual change. It isn't always stated on the surface and you have to dig deeper to recognize that as the central theme of this book. Yet you feel this impulse motivating the communication between teachers and students at the retreat center and the experiences there allude to a deeper bond - to the Nexus that connects us all through our heart where empathy and compassion can grow with experiences of our Oneness. The compassion Logan shows for a dying fish vividly captures this theme. This vision of non-duality is always there beneath the surface though our ego stands in the way of its realization.

The message in this book is beautiful and so I want others to know about it. Through spiritual books like this, we can delve into consciousness transformation and share it with others.

1 out of 5 stars Really Bad. Don't Buy.......2007-06-30

I made the mistake of purchasing this book because it was referenced in a review for The Road (an amazing fiction currently on the best seller list). Now I realize I was probably led into buying it by one of the authors' friends or supporters. The 5 star reviews are bias, to say the least! The dialogue is beyond bad. It is stilted and at times downright silly. I love top quality spiritual writings like "The Power of Now" by E. Tolle or the writings of D. Chopra. It's not that I am spiritually closed, I just know very bad writing when I see it.
This "fiction" is an attempt to flesh out the spiritual teachings of the two authors through poorly crafted, one dimensional characters. I would rather drink flax oil and fast for a week to better my soul than read this kind of stuff. I anticipate receiving some unsupportive votes for this review, and these will likely come from the friends of the authors who have written the 5 star reviews. So be it. I'd rather be honest and save the potential Amazon customer some money!

5 out of 5 stars Thought Provoking.......2007-05-30

NEXUS is an absorbing guide to the dazzling universe of spirituality! Written in the appealing genre of a new age novel I found NEXUS to be a remarkable psychological and spiritual adventure filled with mystery, enchantment, romance, insights, as well as being highly realistic in terms of life's joys and sorrows. I just couldn't put the book down!!!

The diverse assortment of characters were realistic, and the plot was deep, lively and fast paced throughout. NEXUS WORKED AT VERY DEEP LEVELS OF MY MIND TO PENETRATE MY SUBCONSCIOUS AND TO EXPAND AND INSPIRE MY SUPERCONSCIOUS MIND. WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!!!

By carefully reading NEXUS and reflecting on the philosophical insights inherent throughout the book I found that I could tap into my deepest inner centre of being- my inner source of strength, wisdom and compassion...what a discovery!!!

I heard about NEXUS from a friend and that is why I bought the book. I told another friend about NEXUS but she had already just finished reading it and was most impressed.

It seems that people everywhere are suddenly experiencing an intense attraction to NEXUS, one of the most valuable books I've read in a long time.

Another new age novel that I highly recommend is The Saint, the Surfer, and the CEO: A Remarkable Story About Living Your Heart's Desires

5 out of 5 stars Spiritually Uplifting.......2007-05-21

Every once in a while you come across a book that resonates at a deeper soulful level. "Nexus: A Neo Novel" is one of those books that touches you through a spiritual journey of transformation of people in the book. Their transformation is an inner one at the level of their heart and psyche.

For Logan Andrews the transformation requires that he move from negative thoughts and emotions to positive ones. This task is fraught with difficulties, since even at a spiritual retreat intended to help people find the centre of their being called the Nexus, Logan is confronted with his greatest loss as he meets his ex, Sarah.

I really liked the sub-plot with Steven, an arrogant millionaire, who at first is irritating but in time he grows on you and becomes an endearing person. Steven believes that money is the answer to life's problems but has he lost his way?

Even though the writers of "Nexus" have their own unique voice, still this book reminds me of other visionary writers like James Redfield, Carlos Castaneda and Dan Millman. I highly recommend "Nexus" as a deeply moving experience of personal transformation whose message spiritual readers will most appreciate.

5 out of 5 stars Powerful Insights.......2007-04-23

The appeal of "Nexus" lies in an original story that is fast-paced and chock-full of powerful insights. This book is about transformation as an organic process.

The novel is unique as a collaborative effort by two authors who have successfully integrated their writing into an inspiring narrative. This book explores the ups and downs of spiritual life through the journey of people at a spiritual retreat and we can relate their experiences to our own life.

I love this book for its piercing insights and a memorable soulful journey. "Nexus" reminds me of books like "The Celestine Prophecy," "The Life of Pi" and "The Alchemist" - some other books that I've enjoyed reading.

For those that do not believe or think that this is impossible, think again. Any book by Dr.Baldwin is a MUST READ if you are interested in, or are going to attempt Spirit Releasement. After learning all I can about this subject and participating in, and cunducting therapy sessions, I can say that it's TRUE. After my clients failed to accept my suggestion therapy, I took to sprit releasement and you will not believe the amazing things that have taken place. Is it real? All I can tell you is that spirit releasement WORKS! Yes, this work is years ahead of it's time, but when is it the right time? That time is now as we seem to be moving on a tide of planetary changes in human consciousness. GET IT, READ IT.

5 out of 5 stars Quite Interesting!.......2005-08-21

I just finished reading "Healing Lost Souls", and I must say that I'm not really sure how I feel about this subject. The ideas it contains are quite new to me, and I will need to take some time to digest them...

In this book, the author discusses his findings (as well as the findings of other professionals) that people on earth can be impacted by the attachment of earthbound souls, "dark force entities" &/or extraterrestrials (ET's). The idea being that when there is a weakness in our auras, it's easy for these non-physical entities to enter into our physical being, and impact our lives in quite significant ways.

The author also describes his way of helping these entities move on - a therapy called SRT - where the experience is treated as real (no matter how off the wall it sounds), and the entity is spoken to in a calm, nice but firm way, where it's explained that they are disturbing this persons life & need to move into the light.

Other topics such as past life regression therapy & the history of exorcisms is also included.

Examples are included throughout where the conversations between therapist & non-physical entity are noted, and the change in that persons life after such sessions are completed is discussed.

I would highly recommend this book to those who are interested in the paranormal, as well as to therapists who are unsure how to proceed with certain patients - as 1 or more of the therapies discussed here may be of help. One word of caution though, and open mind is a must!

Book Description

Forget everything you thought you knew about astral projection. Long-held notions-such as leaving your body and the silver cord-are boldly challenged in this revolutionary book by Donald Tyson, who offers a fresh understanding of the astral experience. Tyson's compelling theory proposes that the astral plane-a fantastic realm just as real as the physical world-is a dimension within our minds!

Soul Flight presents a captivating history of astral practice that goes back to ancient shamans and medieval witches. Tyson also covers the practical aspects of astral projection and includes exercises for achieving this altered state of consciousness. Readers will learn about a variety of astral doorways (crystals, mirrors, Kabbalah, Tree of Life, runes, tarot) into this incredible dimension, in addition to the spirit beings-fairies, saints, angels, elementals-they're likely to meet there. Also included are rituals for safety, astral etiquette, and tips for using spirit guides on your extraordinary travels.

2 out of 5 stars typical tyson.......2007-05-02

As with others of the author's books, this one is peppered with historical persons and accounts all put under the one-eyed esoteric microscope of the author reinterpreting the experiences of these people and basically applying his understanding of what happened to them as if it is better than their own. As with others of the author's books this one spends time wandering down Golden Dawn lane and especially up Crowley alley. As with others of the author's books this one also makes sweeping statements about the `reality' of certain occult matters. In this volume the writer attacks what he, with his typically reductionist voice, terms the `theosophic' view of astral projection and tells the reader that it is `completely wrong'. Telling the reader that, in other words, there is no `real' astral `travel'. This author has a habit of presenting his personal findings as if they were watershed improvements upon the methods and understandings of the great esoteric explorers of the past, perhaps to place himself within their company. By and large he dismisses the authentic out-of-body experiences, and understandings of those experiences, of countless humans over many centuries as quite simply, mistaken. According to the author, it's ALL in the mind. And then he proceeds to attack previous understandings as being too materialistic whilst contrarily making the conservative error of thinking of the material world as something fundamentally outside of the mind and therefore a place that the `mind' (which to the author is indistinguishable from the soul) cannot visit apart from the body. Then at the same time he states that the mind creates all reality. Confused? From a Gnostic point of view the mind creates nothing - it is seen as neither a maker nor a creator, it remains an interpreter, a translator, a messenger (or an ignorer), between the perceived levels of being. It is not soul and it is not spirit, it is between the two.

His narrative voice, as in his other works, is usually belittling towards and dismissive of women, no matter how renowned, Blavatsky included, which adds to the ponderousness of the text. His argument for there being `no travel in astral travel' is that experiments on remote viewing and out of body, whilst yielding results of accuracy that rise above chance, don't reach one hundred percent accuracy. Well, take five people, show them a physical event and get each of them to tell you what happened, likelihood is that they will have five at least slightly differing reports. The fact that the majority of reported ghost sightings are of people who are still living, in no small way supports the OUT of body astral projection understanding. On the whole, from this reader's point of view, this is a book on pathworking and, like his other books, has useful if not original or innovative ritual and meditative tools to improve one's efforts. Apart from this one comes away with the impression that the author has possibly spent years trying to have a genuine OUT of body experience and has perhaps failed. The long and the short of it is that if you have a genuine out of body experience you KNOW it is NOT all in the mind. If you are interested in out-of-body astral travel as opposed to magically supported pathworking and inner level exploration IN body, then this reader would recommend 'Leaving the Body' by a genuine researcher, the late D. Scott Rogo, and the works of William Buhlman, especially Secrets of the Soul.

Never dreamed I'd find my heartbreak in print. Didn't know how it could help anyone but I was compelled to write my story. It truly re-affirms we are all in this life together, my pain is your pain, my joy is your joy shared. You are never alone. LOL Claire

5 out of 5 stars Transitions of the Soul.......2003-06-14

Angelic intervention changed Nick Bunick's life forever in 1995. Since then he's been devoted to spiritual and humanitarian activities, including writing about his experiences. His latest endeavor, Transitions of the Soul, is a collection of true stories from people who've had contact with deceased loved ones.

All the stories reinforce the idea that the soul does not die, but lives on in peace and happiness. Bunick says that "perhaps the most important discovery I have made is that there is no such thing as death. Death is only a transition of our spirits and souls from the confinement of our physical bodies into the spiritual world."

Those who offer comfort from the other side do so in different ways. To reflect this, Bunick has divided the book into five parts: Visitations; Angels; Sights, Smells, and Sounds; Dreams; and Extraordinary Personal Stories. Each part includes a collection of stories told by ordinary people in their words of how they learned the soul continues on after the body dies.

Bunick "brings us a cure of the grieving heart and a balm for the universal fear of dying." Transitions of the Soul will provide comfort and inspiration to all who read it.

5 out of 5 stars Thankful in Texarkana.......2001-02-20

I am so grateful for the stories shared by all those wonderful people in the book Transitions of the Soul. A friend told me about the book, because I was having such a hard time getting over the sudden death of my boyfriend. I remember searching everwhere for support, words of wisdom, even from our Archbishop, I just came up empty handed and empty hearted until I read this book. I related to many of the stories and was even touched by those that I didn't. I cannot tell you how the fog has lifted and now I feel I can go on and enjoy the life that I still have. Thank you is not enough. I want to buy a copy for every broken heart I know.

F. Holmes "Skip" Atwater began the remote-viewing military program that is known as STARGATE. His book, "Captain of My Ship, Master of My Soul" is a really interesting combination of autobiography, remote-viewing training manual, his involvement with Bob Monroe and the Monroe Institute and a presentation of his spiritual belief system based on his out of body experiences.
If you want some detailed instructions on how to do remote-viewing or are just interested in Atwater's spiritual out of body experiences, this book is a must read. I highly recommend it.

5 out of 5 stars AN INSIDERS VIEW OF ACTUAL RESEARCH BEYOND THE PHYSICAL!!.......2004-10-19

This perceptive man who had all kinds of "coincidences" since youth, can teach us alot about life in other dimensions while still in this physical body, government involvement in early "psychic" programs like STARGATE that Skip was involved in working closely with Stanford Research International and the prime scientists there on the subject. And what an interesting, down to earth description of all the things he went thru being in that "whacko" group in the military. And then learn about his intense sought-out involvement with the private Monroe Institute after military retirement. He gives us clear guidelines of how to gear up our perception so that we can engage BOTH parts of our brain, not just one, analytical, side, and participate in this exciting adventure of flying thru the dimensional universe AND ACTUALLY PARTICIPATING IN what all-encompassing life is all about!! It's nice to see "macho" guys interested in this "soft" stuff and guiding us into the new age of exploration, tolerance, and opening us up to the possibilities to "save our current world by saving ourselves from ignorance", etc. Just the greatest book for a balance of all that is hopeful in the world here today!! Even has a cd-rom included containing, amongst several other exciting things, the original audio recording (with transcript) of the remote viewing of Mars performed by his friend, Joe McMoneagle, remote viewer 001!!! Most importantly, his spiritual connection with the Oneness in the Universe is fabulous!! Even working with loved ones: (p.197): "I had come to know thru out-of-body experience and spiritual insight that what we call DEATH is but a transition from one realm to another. I see birth and death as doorways. . . So I see death not as a tragedy but as a welcome release from the confines of the physical body. Nonetheless, a few days after my sister's death, I sensed a whisper of soft-spoken authority from within. It was a call to action, understated but of profound, compelling strength. I was told to use the skills that I had mastered in the Lifelife program at the Institute to help my sister." What a great book, with a fitting title!!

5 out of 5 stars The Most Interesting Book I've Ever Read.......2004-02-24

This is the incredibly interesting autobiography of Skip Atwater, originator of the U.S. military ESP remote viewing (ESP) program (renamed STARGATE when the program was declassified in 1995).

I usually found my 45-minute daily commute an exhausting, irritating routine, but in reading this book on the subway to and from work, the time flew by, and I wished the commute had been actually longer.

I wish I had read this book before I attended the remote viewing conference in Virginia Beach last Fall at the A.R.E. I would have been more prepared for what I experienced there.

Great book, Skip.

Regards -- The woman who had lunch with your publisher on the veranda at the A.R.E. while all the army helicopters hovered overhead and Ingo Swann did the walk around. !

5 out of 5 stars Amazing story with an inspirational message.......2002-11-26

Wow, I just finished Skip Atwater's book and I must say it was an incredible read about a remarkable time in our nation's history. The evolution of the program which utlimately became known as 'Stargate' is an incredible journey. One that wouldn't let me put the book down.

I recently had the pleasure to see Skip speak recently about his work on HemiSync technology and was very impressed with his scientific approach towards the subject. He is an incredible speaker as well and is an intriguing individual.

His book showed to me the other side of Skip, one that places trust in 'guidance' that we recieve throughout our lives, leading us ever closer to our destinies. It was truly a great read, and I have taken his message to heart, to live my life through guidance knowing that the path we seek will utlimately materialize because guidance is always with us.

5 out of 5 stars Fascinating read about extraordinary experiences.......2002-03-19

I just finished reading Captain of My Ship, Master of My Soul. It is a wonderful book. But the facts behind the story are mind bending. I had the great opportunity to attend a forum last fall in Fort Collins, Colorado, where Skip was one of the speakers. The forum, four days long with numerous presentations, was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life, and Skip, one of the speakers, was one of the very best. I bought his book at this event and obtained his autograph, imagine my surprise when I opened the book for the first time three days ago (6 months after the forum) and found a personal observation about me along with the autograph. This only enhances my perception that Skip is a warm and friendly individual besides having unusual abilities and way above normal intellect.

This charachter trait also comes through in this book which details his extraordinary experiences throughout his life, during his army career, including the Stargate program, and with his ongoing work with hemi-sync at the Monroe Institute.

I am deeply interested in all facets of the paranormal/metaphysical and this book is a great source for factual data which is not forthcoming from most other mainstream scientific sources. Skip is one of the few exceptions. I found the data regarding remote viewing exceptional but my interest is really geared to an interest in hemi-sync and what the potentials are for me to utilize this program in a search for spirtual growth, for a deeper understanding of the levels of consciousness, and potentially an awareness of the other realms of the universe. If you too are looking for these opportunites, you will start finding some answers in this excellent book.
