Book Description
Though best known as the author of the Little House books, Laura Ingalls Wilder led a full, rich life that spanned almost a century of American history. All through her life Laura saved mementos of her past, including early writings, letters, drawings, and photographs, which have been lovingly preserved in private and public collections across the country.
Now, for the first time ever, these photographs, writings, and memorabilia have been gathered together in one incredible volume by noted Little House historian William Anderson. Each gorgeous page of LAURA'S ALBUM is a doorway into the private world of Laura Ingalls Wilder, and offers a unique glimpse of what her life was like. Here is the fascinating true story of this remarkable pioneer woman's life as well as an unforgettable tale of our own American past.

Good Reading.......2007-08-23
I love Laura Ingalls Wilder and her works. This book tells more about the real person and the real family. Very interesting. I feel like I know her, though reading this book.
Laura's Album; A Remembrance Scrapbook of Laura Ingalls Wilder (Little House).......2007-08-17
WOW. The pictures were fantastic!! Makes you want to jump right back into history so that you could meet Laura and her family. Lovely illustrations and the layout was a joy to the eye!! Little House fans....if you cannot get to the museum in the USA...get this book...heck.....get it anyhow.
Disappointing..........2007-05-20
There were a few photos here that I hadn't seen elsewhere, but there wasn't really any new information for me, so I was somewhat disappointed. It also seemed to be written for juvenile fans of the Little House books, but I wish someone would remember that Ms. Wilder has ADULT fans, too, and write something for us.
Laura Ingalls scrapbook.......2007-03-29
This is a special collection of pictures and memorabilia from Laura and her family, laid out like a scrapbook. It's beautiful!
A must-read for any Laura I. Wilder fan.......2007-02-23
I found this book to be a wonderful, memory filled journey. It is presented in a most thoughtful manner- all sorts of memoriabilia are here. I will encourage my 17 year old daughter to read this, it definately gives a good view into, as Laura's words, "the land of used to be!"

Book Description
An ideal introduction to the educational, fun-filled hobby of stamp collecting! With pictures of more than 1,100 stamps from nearly 200 countries (and spaces for at least 2,600 more!), this inexpensive album and guide also contains hints and tips on building a collection, plus an easy-to-use Stamp Identifier Table and Index.
Customer Reviews:
a total disappointment.......2007-09-29
not exactly a stamp album as the title suggested. The space for stamps are simply blanks on the paper. The stamp pictures are all black and white and some of the information given is not accurate.
Too much for a Beginner.......2007-01-10
I bought this album for my 12 yr. old grandson. Being new to stamp collecting, our thought was to have him focus on U.S. stamps first, since he was given a whole sackful of them by a relative.
The album was not described as being international, but that's what it was., so it was a bit of a disappointment.

A Funny Wounderful book!.......2003-06-02
When I was little my dad read this book to me some of the things i didn't get but after he told me the scoup i got it (and learned somthing new too).
I don't know what happened to that book but i want to get it for my little sister.
meet amelia's family!!.......2002-05-27
My 7 year old son checked this book out for the library and started reading it alund to me on the way home. We have read several amelia books before and this gave us an inside look at her"family"
A must read for all Amelia fans!
Amelia Bedelia's Family Album.......2000-11-03
This is a good resource to use for both content-area teachers and ELL teachers alike when introducing metaphors for the first time in elementary school. For ELL teachers, I think this book would be suitable for 3rd or 4th graders who have solid comprehension skills of basic idioms. It would be too hard for newcomers.
Amelia Bedelia's Family Album.......2000-04-03
My daughter and I have been enjoying Amelia Bedelia books for a long time. Even before my daughter was able to understand the puns, she knew something silly was going on. We have a whole collection of these books and enjoy reading them over again. If you like silly puns, you will love Amelia Bedelia and the clever writing of Peggy Parish.

Book Description
Every page in a scrapbook or picture on a card looks more beautiful when it's set off by a frame and embellished with a fabulous border-and these are among the most exquisite ever collected. The frames come in every shape, size, and style: circular and rectangular, with a few simple curlicues and with elaborate knotwork, with hearts and flowers and with cherubs and children. The borders, too, offer plenty of options to fit any project, from classic columns to panels filled with birds and flowering vines. There's a gallery of ideas, too!
Customer Reviews:
Great Resource!.......2007-04-14
The book and CD are user friendly and offer a variety of suggested uses. I have used the images to add to handmade cards and gifts. A great gift for someone who likes the "collage" look in handmade cards and scrapbook pages.

Great Adventure, Quality Barks Work again.......2006-03-31
The Golden Helmet is a classic work. It's fun, its funny, its dramatic, and its packed with the typical set of funny references in Carl Barks work. In this edition you actually get five stories, including the main adventure, there are also two short stories and two one pagers. The Golden Helmet is well researched, and in the inside cover, you have a superb little mini-guide to the work.
The one element that please me, is that this edition deviates very little from the original strip format as published in a bound format in 1980-81; mostly unknown to current collectors, but known to collectors of my vintage, the bound versions are half way between the top of the line Collected Works of Carl Barks, and the edition in this case; all are good, but will be more tailored to/for different budgets. I just wish that the Collected works was out at a more accessible price.Whatever edition you get, or can get, if you are a Duck fan, you will love these beautifully crafted, and lovingly written works.
Whilst I love getting these editions, with superb quality paper, and it is good, qualifying for a library standard low acidity specification. The one production caveat is that the main inside comic tends to easily separate from the cover. It's not a major problem, but you will need to consult a collectors repairer for a basic fix, or check with a binder to get a more longer term solution.
Absolute power corrupts absolutely.......2005-02-27
Donald Duck works as a museum guard. He yearns for the adventures of the old vikings. Suddenly it is discovered that a golden helmet is buried somewhere on inhospitable eastern Canadian seaboard. Possesion of the helmet will make the holder the rightful lord of North America. Obviously, the bad guys are after it, so it is for the good guys to try and beat them to it. However, when they arrive after having fought the elements, time, and each other, they must face the most difficult task of all - their own secret desires. The true horror of the helmet is
while it does make the wearer the ruler of North America, it also makes the wearer insane... One buy one the brave fighters succumb to its lure, both the good and the bad, and they outline their weird vision of their new North America.
This is on the surface just a comic book for kids, but it has an epic format that makes it stand out. Both the drawings and storyline are more reminiscent of Prince Valiant than of pulp comics.
The underlying ideas of the story are that power corrupts, and that the helmet is in no ways magical - the insanity is part of all of us: "Hold up a mirror to your soul, and tell me what you see - if you dare..."

Great Way to get Things Organized.......2007-04-12
I love this book. I had doubts because there was no pictures online, but I read a review and decided to risk it. I'm so happy I did. The book has a place for a school photo each year, 2 pockets to put reportcards and art work, plus it has spaces for pictures of friends and spots for the child to write in their school information, age, and other answers to different questions depending on the grade (ex- if they like to color, to what they would like to achieve the following year.) This book will save the momories for a life time without the hours of scrapbooking. Perfect for the busy Mom or Dad!
**The book is bounded, but you may need to keep an eye on any little ones who want to flip though the book. My daughter pulled the first page out by trying to unclip a pin I had added. Im not sure how she managed to do this so quickly because the pages are fairly thick.
Perfect in every way!.......2006-09-18
I have to admit, I had my doubts about ordering "School Memory Album" for my grandson who just entered K. Being there are no pictures or description, I researched via the internet and was able to find a site showing one picture of the inside at Teacher Resources. I just received the album and am thrilled! The album is: hard cover spiral bound, first page "this album belongs to", second page has family tree, and the following pages starting with grade K has two pages with one double pocket to keep all the treasured memories to come! First page of each grade has area for school, teacher, picture, height, and signature. The higher grades vary with the information, but at the same time has more then enough room for whatever information you would like to add. The pages are colorful yet very pleasing to the eye. This album was exactly what I was looking for and highly recommend for keeping memories of these cherished years! Although, I purchased for my grandson, would be excellent for a girl as well. Not to hesitate making this purchase!

Book Description
Join acclaimed author Walter Dean Myers in a heartwarming celebration of African-American childhood in words and pictures. Sharing favorites from his collection of long-forgotten turn-of-the-century photographs, and punctuating them with his own moving poetry, Mr. Myers has created a beautiful album that reminds us that "the child in each of us is our most precious part."
Customer Reviews:
Wonderful book!.......2005-09-27
I ordered this book for my 8 year old and we both love it. It arrived in a timely fashion and we are very pleased with our purchase.
Children are Angels.......2003-03-01
Walter Dean Myers has put together a unique collection of poetry highlighting African
American childhood. Instead of using traditional illustrations, Myers gathered a
collection of turn of the century photographs of African American children in places
ranging from flea markets to museums. Each of the poems seems to capture the very
essence of the corresponding photograph and bring life to the nameless faces within the pictures. I enjoyed all of the poems in this collection, my personal favorites were "Love that Boy" and "Pretty Little Black Girl" which were tributes to Black boys and girls respectively.
While I enjoyed this collection, I believe this is a book that will be enjoyed more by parents than by their children. Still this book is a wonderful tribute to ordinary African American children and our rich cultural heritage. The stunning photographs along with delightful poems make this book worth checking out.

It's a wonderful make you feel good book. A great gift idea for all ages. The photos are beautiful and heart warming. I have given this book as a gift many times and everyone adores it.
Wow!.......2002-02-03
Just think, if I hadn't wandered by the poetry section and decided to look at the books, I might have never discovered this gem. I only found this because of a student's request for rhyming books and an admiration of Waler Dean Myers. Thanks fate.
A Wonderful Collecton of Photos and Verse.......1999-07-20
Brown Angels is surely to make you smile with its collection of adorable and emotional photographs. A wonderful gift idea.
