Los animales que aparecen son muy pocos y los más conocidos, como el gato, perro, caballo, etc. Esta demasiado aburrido para niños de 1-2 años.
El libro en sí, es de láminas gruesas y duraderas.

Great review or word introduction.......2005-08-17

If you know how to pronounce the Spanish words correctly, this is a great book for toddlers. I've used it with my Toddler Spanish classes, and even my 4-7 year olds as they are learning to form their own opinions and original sentences in Spanish. I love the simplistic, yet BRIGHT pictures and how wonderfully sturdy the slick pages are.

Use this along with Flip Flop Spanish workbook, and you've got a great combo!

I'm know about goats.......2005-04-01

I like goats. They are good people, I mean pets. I mean that they are americans, like sheep. I like to refresh my memory about goats, that is why I bought this book. It helped me remember my fun visit with some little boys and girls where I told them about my pet who was a goat. I liked the story, especially the pictures.

Great Spanish/English Series.......2003-12-17

Raising a multilingual child is difficult particularly in our mono-lingual culture. It is all too easy to resort to the English default. As a parent I have to make an extra conscious effort to speak Spanish to my daughter and familiarize her ear with the sounds she will hopefully use one day. In this regard bi-lingual books have been essential in helping me to set aside Spanish-time. I have read this series of board books by Rebecca Emberley to my daughter since she was 3-months old and they are still among her favorites at 15 months. These books are ideal for interacting with your baby and toddler in a multilingual fashion. The illustrations are bright and colorful and the pages withstand repeated vigorous turning by little hands. Each page presents a single word in English and Spanish for added comprehension, yet ideal for short attention spans. Thank you for a wonderful series.

GREAT series of books to learn words not just espanol!!.......2003-06-18

These are a great series of well & simply illustrated books that my son absolutely loves. He knows the spanish words before english (we are primarily english speakers) for so many things, and he learns them here first! My husband has also learned quite a few words from the series as well....

I really liked this book, especially the pictures! This is something that would be great for children to read in order to learn about the different animals that are on a farm. The back of the book has all the animals listed in both spanish and english and the pronunciations of both languages.

I agree with the previous reviews that the age range on this is a misleading. This book can be enjoyed as early as you would like to introduce it to your baby or child. It is never to early to start reading to your child! The board book format makes it safe for all ages and both babies and children can appreciate the very high quality photos (with a few illustrations thrown in). For such a small book it contains an amazing amount of information!

My son - 15 months old - can already name some of the animals in English. I think that this book is appropriate for ages one and up. It's a good tool to get your child to use the words he has learned.

Great book to teach a child Spanish and English.......2003-07-29

I love this bilingual series of books and I hope that DK publishing keeps bringing out more titles. I think, however, that the age range is a bit wrong. I think that this book can be enjoyed as early as 2 years of age, when a child is learning the objects around them. Be sure and check out "My First Spanish Word Board Book" and "My First Spanish Farm Board Book."

Church estaba alli otra vez. Temia y deseaba algo semejante, porque su hijita Ellie le habia encargado que cuidara del gato, de Church, y Church habia muerto atropellado. Louis Creed era medico, habia tenido al gato en los brazos y estaba muerto. Seguro. Pero habia cedido ante la insistencia del viejo y habia ido a enterrarlo a plena noche, mas alla del cementerio de animales. Mas alla. Y ahora estaba alli otra vez. Era Church, no cabia duda, aunque arrastraba los cuartos traseros, apestaba como un condenado, sus ojos eran mucho mas verdes y mas crueles y su comportamiento era perverso. Pero volvia a estar alli y Ellie no lo echaria de menos.
Sin embargo, Louis Creed si volveria a echar de menos aquel lugar. Porque mas alla del cementerio de animales, mas alla de la valla de troncos que nadie se atrevia a traspasar, mas alla de los cuarenta y cinco escalones, el poder del antiguo cementerio indio le reclamaba y le ofrecia su aberrante consuelo para una espiral de un dolor y un horror cada vez mas intensos. Good Way for Kids to Learn Some Spanish.......2007-06-22

With "¡Marimba!" El Paso author Pat Mora says she wanted to create an alphabet book that incorporates both English and Spanish. She found twenty-six cognates, or words that are similar in both languages, and arrived at this colorful story of something special that happens at the zoo when a frisky monkey begins to play his marimba. At the back of the book is a translation and pronunciation guide. Listed for grades K through 3, but my 6-year-old grandson enjoyed it as well.
