This is another great product by Louise Hay. The wonderful affirmations are well-done because they give you the mindset of how to think positively and how to create what reality you chose. The author's affirmations are uplighting and can create light in anyone's life. I agree with a previous reviewer that constantly going over affirmations can really change your thinking and thus you're realty in a positive way. What a helpful product!!!!!

I rarely give anything I review 5 stars. Usually there is something that I think could be just a little bit better. But that is not the case with these wonderful cards by Louise Hay. They are simply the most positive and powerful set of affirmations I have ever come across. I have seen affirmation cards that are too short or too general. I have seen affirmation cards that are too long or too detailed. But these cards are, in my mind, perfect. You get the basic idea on one side, with a more expansive thought on the back. Pick a card daily, read it, take it to heart, and I assure you that your life will be enhanced -- more peaceful, more joyful, and creatively powerful. I have used these cards for about six months now in all sorts of situations. I find the repetitiveness useful. Marketing studies will tell you that people need to hear a message about 23 times before it becomes 'embedded' in their thought processes and they actually act on it. We are bombarded with all kinds of affirmations positive and negative, so many in fact that we can't even begin to count them. Here is a very easy way to set the tone for the day or a conversation or a project, to broach a difficult discussion or to prompt a written inspirational essay. What is true is that on a particularly hectic day you'll find yourself repeating a power thought that has maintained a particular appeal for you, and you will find yourself breathing more easily and getting through what may be a very difficult moment. I've bought two sets, one to keep and one to give away and I have a feeling this friend will not be the last one I buy them for!

Like Dorothy, I wish I could just click my heels and say any affirmation on these cards, and somehow it would manifest itself. I am a student of many self-help books and these cards remind me of some of the ones I have read. I'm sure the author of the cards has read and used many of them herself. If, like me, you are also a fan of Tarot Cards, maybe you could use this deck to do a "reading" of sorts, draw some squares on a large sheet of paper, and label each one as an aspect of your daily life....job, relationship, children, parents, friends, inner self, and so on, and then place a card on each square you have and see how the saying on each card relates to it. It might be interesting! DISCLAIMER...If you are some religion which forbids the idea of fortune-telling or divination then don't do this, and don't say I made you do it. Thank You.
The cards are very pretty, I found the colors to be enchanting, but the sayings were repetitive, and I think they were designed that way on purpose because there is always more than one way to say the same thing. Every person is different in the way that they will respond to a given statement, and if the author did the same affirmation six or seven different ways, maybe she figured it would reach more people that way. Try them yourself and see what you think....they're nice cards!

These cards have a wonderful vibration, all very inspiring, uplifting, encouraging. However, they are not without depth; they are more than just "sweetness and light." There is a suggestion that they can be used in combination with other kinds of Tarot (that can carry the darker undercurrents--necessary energies to be aware of in their own right), and I find there is a good balance that way.

I bought this deck to learn more about the Ascended Masters and to begin to work with their energies.
I was actually very surprised to see that world deities are considered ascended masters, along with New Age figures such as El Morya, Saint-Germain and others. In fact, the world deities make up most of the deck. My one complaint is that I actually would have liked the inclusion of more of the specifically "New Age" Ascensionist Masters (I realize many deities have become central Ascended Masters in the Ascension movement, such as Kuan Yin and Buddha, and would not have minded them being included), and seen the world deities go into a completely seperate deck. I was a little dissapointed, because I really did want to learn more about them through this oracle.
Other than that, I love this deck! Like her Goddess Oracle, I found the readings to be extremely accurate right from the get-go. I use these cards along with the Goddess Oracle to get an extremely well-balanced reading - in the accompanying book it gives a very simple method for using multiple oracle decks for one reading, which I recommend everyone give a try.
I would love to see an "expansion pack"-type deck for this one made that focuses more specifically on the New Age Ascended Masters, including the more intergalactic figures such as Ashtar. I feel I could really learn alot from such a product, and that was the original intent of purchasing this one. However, as a lover of world spirituality, it was fun to see many familiar faces in this deck, and to be able to to incorporate that wisdom into my readings and meditation.

I bought this deck to add to my collection of Doreen's cards. I have them all. These are as beautiful as the rest, I especially love the gold edges, however there are too many of the same cards from previous decks. The artwork is different but it's pretty much the same meanings. I was hoping for something new in this deck and it just doesn't have it. Even so, I will continue to buy Doreen's cards because I love the artwork in them and the positive inspirations.

Here's a helpful suggestion to all inspired to use this kit: During any reading using a 78 card deck you can use this deck to read together by drawing an angel card with a reversed card to ease querents apprehension and to assist their soul-spirit with a one card angel reading and better yet draw an angel card to read with the final outcome card(works very well!!..and querents love it!) This my favorite that I depend on for reversed card bail-outs, final outcome cards, and lastly...Total angel readings.. From Beginner,Initiate,apprentice,journeyman,to Professional I reccomend this deck highly even with its shortcomings. I have many of Doreen Virtue's oracle cards, and a few others by different authors. Healing with the Angels is an inspiring deck, and somehow, every time I do a reading, it reflects some aspect of my present, and that is indeed amazing. In this deck, there are 44 cards that provide a means of 'communing' with your angels...you can do a reading for yourself, for your family or friends. The enclosed guidebook helps to provide interpretations of the readings. Each card is beautifully illustrated by pictures of angels in different visual styles. Though the deck isn't as beautiful as some of the other Virtue decks, it is still worth adding to one's collection.

As someone stated before, I too am a card fanatic. My excuse is that I need a wide variety of cards for my readings which is true, but I probably have over done it since I own close to 25 different sets. Anyway I recently bought this set after reading reviews and giving it some thought. I didn't want to buy this set at first because I didn't really know anything about mermaids and honestly, I thought they looked child-like, however I am a big Doreen Virtue fan and decided I'd go for it. After spending a little time with the cards, I found them to be quite accurate. To me, some of the card meanings are general and redundant, but I still find them to be helpful and accurate! It's a nice set!

Ok I admit it, I'm a oracle card junkie. I have probably about 10 different sets or types of oracle/tarot cards if not more. 3 of them are from the Doreen Virtue Collection. This set, the Magical Unicorn set and Healing with Fairies deck. Admittedly there is little variation with regards to card meanings but it doesn't stop me from appreciating any of them any less. The fact is that some people may be attracted to Angel Cards, others may feel an affinity for Mermaids and yet others a love for Unicorns. So while you may not want to buy Doreen's whole collection of card decks she offers enough of a variety that one will surely find something that meets your interest. Then perhaps move on to different line to mix things up a bit.

...I am a great Doreen Virtue fan on the whole, but I simply can't help thinking that she is simply regurgitating all the information and thoughts and insights we have heard before, in this pack. For me it is a case of re-packaging what has already been said a million times. The pictures are sweet enough, and very colourful, but I would stick to some of her other cards like the Archangel cards...I feel Doreen has simply thought
" Hmmm what mystical icon can I put on this new set to re-sell as something new ". I am cynical, but can't help thinking she is laughing all the way up her beautifully tailored sleeve as she checks her bank account.

After reading the book The Tarot Handbook by Angeles Arrien, in which she gives detailed descriptions of the very beautiful artwork on the Thoth deck designed by Aleister Crowley and painted by Lady Francis Harris, I purchased this deck expecting the cards to be as described in the book. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed upon receiving this deck. Most cards were only one color, looking bland. Artwork details were unrecognizable due to the lack of color variation. I returned the deck but am still interested in purchashing the colorful cards described in the book if found.

Crowley broke ties with his former compatriots at the Golden Dawn and set out to turn the world on its collective ear. Along the way he created this breathtaking deck, with the gracious assistance of Lady Frieda Harris. This is an occult masterpiece of mythic proportions. It is his greatest work, and one of his few not riddled with lies and deceptions. It has been the tool of many a gifted reader and scores of magicians, prognosticators, charlatans, and even a few nefarious scoundrels of magic. It is alpha and omega - for it is both an extension of, and the counterpart to Waite's tarot.
The feel is dark elegance, with heavy usage of blues and gold/yellows, with grays and greens finding their way into the backgrounds. It is not that there is ANY lack of other colors contained herein. The notation is a hint at Crowley's disposition affecting the implied symbolism of such usage in that it guided the direction of creation of this deck. this deck reeks energy, even before you pick it up - but it has a life of its own and you must fit the deck, or it will not 'behave.' Until you experience the bond (or aggravated agitation) possible with this deck, you simply have to guess at how dominant a force this can (and will) be in your readings and ritual use.
This deck was specifically designed for ritual more than simple divination. Each card is a magical statement of human will over nature's wild (untamed) energies. In this way it clashed head on with Waite's vision of the magician in harmony. Just as there are many paths to your destination (whatever that may be) this deck is one of many. It either fits you, or it does not. But s to divinatory quality, none EXISTING [as of this writing] surpass this most excellent tool. I would not suggest this to anyone as a starter deck, as there is far too much occult (hidden) symbolism to learn of The Tarot that the novice cannot grasp from viewing these cards.
Note: This card draws far more heavily on astrological influences than others (Waite for instance) but it is not at all an astrological construct. A great ritual tool that is also a quality divination device if you have a solid foundation of knowledge in the Tarot AND Astrology (and other sciences here unmentioned, should you be so inclined). This is the best deck on the mass market for use with necromancy.
Creepy, Bad Energy.......2007-01-30
I've tried this deck on multiple occasions and find it creepy with bad energy. I think Crowley was a genius but he clearly abused whatever knowledge he was given and that negativity pervades these cards in an uncomfortable way. I'm not saying they're not accurate and this isn't a visually rich, masterful body of work on Crowley's part. But there are other decks out there that bring together the same elements without the strong negativity present here. (Try Haindl instead -- earthy & grounded but just as symbolically rich.)

The Yoga Deck is really great for a number of reasons...
- Unlike a clunky book, the cards are easy to handle and refer to during yoga practice.
- Unlike a yoga video/DVD, the cards allow one to go at one's own pace.
- It's easy to create a yoga routine tailored to one's particular needs at the moment.
- If one only has a few minutes to devote to yoga, it's easy to simply pull one card, or maybe two, and really focus on those specific poses.

There is no doubt this is a worthwhile book, however, know that the narrators have a very different delivery from Don Miguel's previous books.
I'm used to Peter Coyote narrating Don Miguel Ruiz's books. He takes his time, there are spaces between words and sentences so one can absorb what is being said. Unfortunately, the 2 narrators for this book do not have the same method, rather, it sounds like they are reading the book verbatim, no feeling, no thought... just reading text. The woman's voice is too light and too quick to give weight & depth to the text and there are no spaces for reflection. Perhaps the cards make it a good buy, I don't know as I purchased just the audio from audible.com.

This is by far my favorite card edition of Don Miguel's books.
I would recommend buying every card deck as well as every book ever produced by this wonderful angel. Point being though, I found this deck to be the most useful for me and I recommend it to anyone, even if you don't own or have never read any of his books or cards. You will find much useful, practical, and easily understandable wisdom which can bring you out of depression, free you of lies in your belief system, and of course promote love within and without. The deck is beautiful indeed, and it is very accurate for me. When you buy it, consider the fact that the deck is more Thoth based, than Raider-Waite. So if all your books are for RWS, you, probably, want to buy a special book for this deck.
Anyway, I never did, and still can read with the deck, and enjoy it.

Hands down my favorite Tarot deck. The images are rich with symbolism that anyone can understand, and that's important when you're a novice reader.
The cards do have a 1930's or 1940's Hollywood feel to them; the images are supposed to portray specific actors and actresses from that era, but I personally don't notice these resemblances when I'm doing a reading. I think the artist just happened to hit on the right face for each of the various cards. What is noticeable is how the blue, black, and white colors and the shading effects used in the art seem to deepen and enhance certain symbolic elements of each card.
I didn't think the companion book was particularly helpful; but since the deck almost reads itself to you, a book may not be necessary for everyone. I would alternately recommend Laura Clarson's book on this deck instead.
It Makes The Mose Sense of Any Deck I've Used!.......2003-12-11
I've tried many decks before picking up my first set of these cards. I use them so often I'm purchasing my third deck! I had a lot of trouble understanding the meaning behind the tarot cards until I picked up Cosmic Tarot. Everything suddenly became clear. The pictures are nice to look at and not confusing. They symbolism is clear and helpful. The court cards make more sense than any other deck out there. I highly recommend this deck for anyone.

I've been using the Cosmic deck for about five years and I love them! I found the deck in a catalog, on a whim I bought it and has been love ever since! The deck is both magical, intense, intimidating, colorful, beautifully drawn and yet simple (for me that is). I love some the pictures of the characters bec. I compare them to real life people. For example, the Prince of Pentacles looks like Charles Bronson (even though he doesn't exhibit those characteristics), the 4 of Wands looks like Deanna Troi from Star Trek. I must warn you that the deck isn't for everyone (what deck is?), but for me it's very intense, which is why I love it. I look at the pictures and can see so much! When I have done readings I have received so many compliments over how beautiful and different this deck is. I have used the Rider deck and never felt the bond I feel w/this deck. I have to tell you, if you do buy this deck, YOU MUST BUY THE ACCOMPANYING BOOK! There are pictures and meanings that do not correspond to "regular" tarot cards, but then again, every deck is different. This is the only deck for me! I call them my "buddies!"

i think doreen virtue is taking a lot of people's $ by selling junk. her cards are way too general and vague to help you with anything. they give stupid, vague answers that a magic 8 ball or something could've told me. it's just kiddie play. ms. virtue has a good concept, but if only she would take her time and find out more answers and put them on the cards. you're better off with Tarot cards. they work accurately for me. read my other review on her "Connecting with your angels Kit."
Great cards! Very Accurate!.......2007-06-27
I've only had this set of angel cards for about 2 weeks, but in that short amount of time I have done numerous readings for myself and 5 readings for others with these cards and I have to say that out of all those readings, I only had one that I didn't understand! All the other readings were amazingly accurate and I was able to use my intuition to pick up even more about each situation I was concerned about. The only reason I gave these amazing cards a 4 is because of the one reading I didn't understand. The pictures are captivating and the messages are very easy to understand! The guidebook is a lot of help if you are a beginner at Oracle card readings as I am. All I have to say is that these cards inspired me to buy 3 other sets within a week and another 6 sets a week after that! I am totally into Oracle cards now as I feel they help me provide insight into my own situations as well as those who seek my intuitive help! I have stayed away from tarot cards because of some of the negative cards associated with tarot, however I feel that Oracle cards (particularly Angel Cards) can give you the same message as tarot in a more positive way! These are great cards!

I have a number of Doreen Virtue's Oracle Cards this one
is one that I find when I draw a card it hits right on
where I am at and the message I need
I can't say more than that making this deck a 5 Star for
me - what I need is met and I even get messages I hadn't
expected when I draw a card from this deck

I love this woman and everything that she has written! Her cards and books have helped me heal after the tragic loss of my father early this year. Although I have incredibly sad and difficult days, her guidance has helped me reach my own guardians and the comfort that they provide to me. She, through her books and cards, has also helped to further my spiritual journey. Thank you Doreen for all that you do.
