Book Description
From the exotic splendors of India to the elegant ballrooms of Regency London, celebrated author Gaelen Foley pens the enthralling tale of a luscious beauty who has sworn never to call any man her master, and the powerful marquess whose passion threatens to conquer her. . . .
Born into the wealthy British ruling class of India, Georgiana Knight is as unconventional as she is beautiful. She has sworn not to marry till she meets a man who will treat her as an equal–but that vow doesn’t appease her sensual curiosity. When Ian Prescott, the Marquess of Griffith, arrives on a mission to defuse the threat of war, she is immediately drawn to the mysterious and darkly handsome diplomat, and cannot resist provoking the hidden lust that smolders beneath his cool surface.
Ian is mesmerized by Georgie’s alluring mystique but burdened by a dark secret. And she is a temptation he cannot afford. But when she becomes entangled in his mission, she must be secreted away to England for her own safety. Georgie finds herself in the unfamiliar world of aristocratic London, where Ian becomes her guide, her confidant . . . her seducer. His incendiary kiss sets her soul on fire, and Georgie knows she will never be satisfied until she has made this magnificent man her own.

Great.......2007-08-27
This is a great book...seems to be in "classic" Foley style. I can't wait for the next two.
luv it!.......2007-08-13
I love all G.F. books. If you love battle of the sexes, wit, charm and intense emotion, Gaelen Foley is the author you've been waiting for. I just finished all of her books and have proudly cried through each one. I'm not a cryer and to read a book and cry at the same time is a world record for me, but I did it and I'm not ashamed of it because her books are worth it!!!!!
Loved it!!.......2007-08-11
This is a well written, fast paced romance. Lots of drama and excitement as well as the romantic part of the story.
Wonderful.......2007-07-30
This is yet another wonderful story by Gaelon Foley. Her attention to detail along with the sparks between the characters make this book hard to put down.
Nice read.......2007-07-21
Gaelen Foley did a nice job with this book. The first part of the book takes place in India, and it's very detailed and easy to visualize the scenes. The remainder takes place in England. Some of the storyline is a little unbelieveable, but for the most part, it is an excellent story and a fun read.

Book Description
A moving tale of love and forgiveness by bestselling author Barbara Delinsky.
When she was just seventeen, Marni Lange loved Brian Webster with a consuming passion. Then a tragic accident tore them apart. Brian's broken body mended, but he never forgave himself for the accident that killed Marni's brother. Marni, her world equally shattered, was forced to choose between honoring her powerful, wealthy family . . . and the man she loved.
Now, fourteen years later, Marni is a successful businesswoman about to be profiled by a world-famous photographer . . . Brian Webster. Suddenly they find themselves face-to-face with the past that has haunted them. As a teenager, Marni couldn't defy her family. But now she's a formidable woman in her own right, willing to fight to hold on to what matters most: her family, her legacy and a second chance at love.

This review refers to the audiobook.......2006-12-26
This was a nice, fast paced story of reconciliation, healing and forgiveness. The meant-to-be type of romance between soulmates appeals to my hopelessly romantic heart, and I especially like the mature way Marnie stood up against her parent's controlling manipulativeness, leaving the door open for acceptance and a loving resolution.
Highly enjoyable read.......2003-09-08
Once I started reading this book, I found it hard to put down. Delinsky uses a great mix of romance, drama and even a bit of comedy. The main characters had interesting careers (one a corporate CEO and the other a famous photographer) and a tragically intertwined past. I like how Marni stands up to her father when she realizes Brian is the thing she wants even more than her powerful job running the family business - which she was basically pushed into after the tragic death of her brother, in an accident that left Brian severely wounded. Love conquers all in this story and it brings a smile to my heart.
I had a hard time relating to the characters.......2002-12-05
The books overall story is great but I had a hard time getting lost in the characters. I find that many of Delinskys books leave you a little distanced from the characters. I empathized with the characters, but it didn't hold my interest as would other novels I have read. It reminds me of jumping in the shower before taking my clothes off.. I like my books to slowly envelope my mind and take over. This did not do that.
great!.......2001-09-13
the book was really thoughtful, i couldn't help crying since i was so touched

Book Description
From New York Times bestselling author and "grand mistress of storytelling" (Romantic Times) Sabrina Jeffries comes the second seductive story in her School for Heiresses Series.
"You can't avoid him forever, Louisa. Just tell him you're not interested, and put an end to it."
-- Mrs. Charlotte Harris, headmistress
Marry? Never! It would end Louisa North's work with her ladies reform group -- and truth be told, she likes her independence very much, despite her royal father's protests. So when Simon Tremaine, the dashing Duke of Foxmoor whom she once loved -- and had exiled from England -- returns bent on marrying her, she's skeptical. Does he truly care for her, or does he simply want revenge? It's difficult to resist Simon's dangerous charms, because the fire between them still burns as hot as ever. But when his ulterior motive for marriage is exposed, along with the deeply buried secrets of his past, Louisa vows to make him pay . . . and the price will be his heart.
Customer Reviews:
Great Story, more serious than other "Heirssess Series" books.......2007-08-18
I have read all of the School for Heiresses Series to date, and I would have to say this is my least favorite of them all. Not to say I didn't like it, but I think the reason is that the characters lacked the witty banter of the other books. Louisa North, illegitimate daughter of the King, is head the London Ladies Society whose current goals involve prison reform for women as well as supporting Political candidates willing to support this reform. Her suitor, Simon, the Duke of Foxmore, has his own political agenda to be Prime Minister, which to gain the King's support involves the courting and "taming" of Louisa's political aspirations. All of these situations are quite serious as the treatment of women in prison during this time period was heart wrenching. Even Louisa's fear of marriage leading to child birth has its own horrific historical significance. While it was still an interesting story, it seemed an off-shoot of the otherwise fun and witty Heiresses series. I think it may help to read Sabrina Jefferies Royal Brotherhood series as these characters are tied into that. But I still recommend this book as the characters are very rich and full of depth, an excellent story and steamy romance.
Terrific As Always!.......2007-08-17
In the second book of Jeffries "School for Heiresses" the reader is re-introduced (TO PLEASURE A PRINCE part of Jeffries' "Royal Brotherhood" series) to Louisa North, illegitimate daughter of King George IV, as well as the man who'd broken her heart 7 years ago, Simon Tremaine, the new Duke of Foxmoor.
It's seven years later and Simon has returned from India where the king had banished him after Louisa discovered his affections towards her masked his aspirations for political gain. He's back and still politically ambitious but after his first sight of Louisa his passions are aroused even more so for the woman she's become. Summoned to an audience with the king, Simon is offered a deal he cannot refuse. If Simon can court and marry Louisa, who's been stirring up trouble as a member and founder of the London Ladies Society, the king would make it possible for Simon to achieve his greatest political desire - Prime Minister of England.
Louisa for all her new independence and charitable work for female prisoners; courting reformists to her cause; and secretly backing a candidate for the House of Commons; she was not totally immune to the attentions of the Duke of Foxmoor. Yes, Simon was a scoundrel for breaking her heart while using her for his ambitious political maneuvers, but his kiss still left her weak in the knees. While Simon knew it would only be a matter of time for him to bring her to the marriage bed, Louisa would be the one to finally bring him to his knees.
*** A long time fan of Sabrina Jeffries, I confess, I have not read a single book of hers I did not love! Bringing together a couple with bad history from an earlier story has been done before, but Jeffries brings them back with style incorporating sparkling dialogs and some very sensual trysts as they battle over both domestic and political issues.
Simon is a complex hero who isn't at all likeable when first introduced as he is shown bargaining with the king once again in an effort to reap political gain and rewards. If it weren't for having Raji, his pet monkey on his shoulder, I wouldn't have liked him at all. Little by little, he does become the hero when he starts to bend a bit while trying to worm his way into Louisa's good graces. As the author starts to weave in bits and pieces of Simon's tragic early youth of `training', beaten into him by his grandfather one starts see how he was molded into his attitude of political ambitions while making him stifle any and all feelings of passion. In some of his kind acts, used to break through Louisa's lack of trust, the reader begins to see bits and pieces of the man he could become if someone was brave enough to break through his defensive outer shell.
Having spent most of the last seven years in the royal court, Louisa had grown into an independent, accomplished woman after having her heart broken by Simon. She is intelligent and savvy, points very well defined by the author's excellent portrayal, and as such even though she knows Simon is not to be trusted, her heart is drawn as a moth to a flame. Willing to give him enough rope to hang himself, this more mature Louisa sees glimpses of the man she's always dreamed of and hopes he's become and gets caught in Simon's net, but was wise enough to demand concessions. Consequently she was devastated to discover once again his betrayal. Hurt beyond measure, Louisa would uncover truth's that motivated Simon, truth's that would set him free to live and love.
This truly was an engrossing story of redemption and sensual passion for Lousia and Simon - both wonderfully crafted and finally able to find the happiness they deserved. Not only does Jeffries titillate the reader with a passion filled romantic love story but she couples it with intricately woven human frailties making the characters leap off the pages into your hearts. I've said it before and I'll say it again Ms. Jeffries holds you from first page to the last with a perfect combination of wit, romance and intrigue.

The monkey stole the show!.......2007-06-13
The most interesting character in this novel, was the hero's pet monkey Rajii! That summarizes my view of this book. I'm glad I only borrowed it from the library.
Others have already summarized the plot so I will not rehash. I will say that the political backdrop was intriguing and very informative. The chemistry between the protagonists was lacking- of course when Simon could actually convince Louisa to let her guard down , it was steamy but their interactions as a couple lacked the spark I like in a romance.
I actually felt sorry for Simon for landing such a querolous wife.
I for one love the independanlt female, however I really think many heroines are not realistically rendered. I totally understand Louisa's devotion to her prison reform, and wanting a radical candidate and I understand Simon's balking at it- what I don't understand is why Louisa thinks this is abnormal from her husband, a DUKE with POLITICAL asperations.
There was also the scene where she got pelted by a rock (yes, a ROCK!) at the prison, however even though she got knocked out, she is adamant tonot have a doctor. Like I mentioned earlier, I don't mind independent heroines, I just dislike the borderline stupid ones.
didn't finish.......2007-06-07
I have read several of her other books and enjoyed them. I found myself having a few minutes to read, picking up the book, then doing something else. I wish that I had read the reviews before. Borrow the book if it appeals to you.
Needed something more.......2007-05-08
The hero and heroine of this book just never convinced me that they really loved each other. Since there was a lot of political machination going on between these two, they were always one upping the other when it came to advancing their own agendas. This was a tedious. I never understood how Simon, the hero, was so forgiving of Louisa. When she discovered that he was stringing her along in a courtship she had him sent to India for seven years. She was in no way compromised, they shared one kiss. This was glossed over and Simon said he deserved his banishment. This novel would have been more interesting if revenge had been part of the plot. Also, a deeper background into Simon's past in India would have fleshed out his charachter. He was one dimensional.
Louisa was stubborn but so was Simon. I really was tired of her reapeating to herself, "A pox on Simon, a pox on her husband."
Both were secretive but to the author's credit, they did not let misunderstandings go on throughout the entire novel. Once a secret was revealed, they discussed it and moved on. This book rates 2 ½ stars. The political backdrop with prison reform was fresh and inventive but the hero and heroine were not.

very fun romp.......2007-09-16
Such a cute story. I can just imagine that women far and wide will fall in love with Sebastian, if they haven't already from the two previous books. He's sweet, funny, sexy, and with a boyish grin to boot. I loved the fact that even those he love (like his family) assume the worst of him...but only in that we love him, anyway sort of way...and he is flabbergasted upon discovering this. He's definitely found his match in Mina. The meetings of super-everythings (given like an AA meetings) were hilarious. I feel this book has definitely surpassed the first two.
WOW if i could give it 6 stars I would.......2007-02-24
This book (the 3rd and last of the Young Brothers)was full of twist and turns. First the heroin was not typical. The bad guy well you just aren't sure to the end. And the end well let's just say it wasn't.
You will enjoy this book and fall for the Young brothers all over again
Kathy Love makes you "love" her!.......2007-02-21
There is nothing really to say except READ THIS SERIES! The writing flows, the characters have soo much personality and the storyline is great! I have all her books and intend to keep it that way! You should too!!
I Only Have Fangs For You-Joyfully Recommended!.......2007-02-06
Sebastian loves being a single vampire. What's not to like? He always looks young and women love him. Sebastian even runs one of the hottest nightclubs, Carfax Abbey. Mina Weiss is working at as a waitress at Carfax Abbey, only being a waitress is not Mina's real job. She and her organization are out to close Carfax Abbey in order to protect the unsuspecting human patrons. When Sebastian finds out Mina's true mission, he's determined to convince her that he's not a monster. He offers her a challenge, he'll refrain from biting anyone for a month if she'll let him show her just how much fun it is to be a vampire. Let the challenge begin!
I Only Have Fangs For You is more than a just a treat, it's a complete four course meal! Constantly the ladies man in his brothers' books, Fangs For The Memories and Fangs But No Fangs, watching Sebastian finally meet his match was hilariously funny. Kathy Love has a true gift for delivering sexy romance with a side of comedy that will keep me coming back again and again for another serving!

Super Fang Gets his Story!!!.......2007-01-22
Sebastian Young loves being a vampire and he hasn't met a neck he doesn't like. The only lady he's truly serious about is Carfax Abbey a nightclub with attitude. So when he catches a look at the newest waitress Wilhelmina Weiss he wonders what on earth this mousey little thing is doing in his club. She's clumsy and doesn't know much about being a vampire. So why doesn't he fire her and move on? Because like it or not he's drawn to Mina and then they make the "deal" and Super-Fang is in big trouble.
Mina is on a mission to shut down Carfax Abbey because they need to put the number three most dangerous vampire out of business. Mina has no idea just how dangerous this man is not to the mortal population but to her heart. Is it possible she has it all wrong and that Sebastian is one of the good vampires...and does she hold the key to his playboy heart?
I have loved this series from the very beginning and have patiently been waiting to see Sebastian find his happy ending. Trust me it was worth the wait. Mina is not what I expected for his match and as a result she was PERFECT for him. As per usual Ms. Love has included her trademark wit and humor as well as a sensual setting for this hugely entertaining romance. This is one author I highly recommend, she knows exactly what the romance reader is looking for and she delivers. If you are looking for a different kind of vampire read look no further then Ms. Love's "Young Brother" series. I can't wait for her next release.

Book #4 in the mackeage series.......2007-08-13
This is Winter's story. She's the reason the wizard thru Duncan in the future to begin with. She was forecasted to be born the 7th daughter, etc etc to save the world.
Here is her story. All grown up.
I liked this story. Winter was an artist that had "animal" friends and mystical abilities. The wizzard was trying to train her to take his place, but had to do so in secrete because Duncan (Winter's father) forbid it.
The older men that were thrown thru time in book #1 were always afraid the wizzard would accidentally send them back.
Anyway, this was a good read. Nice romance with likeable characters.
I'm big on having likeable characters....LOL It's hard to like a book if you don't like the characters, eh?
I hate wimpy women.......2006-12-29
This book made me so mad. i can't buy that the heroine was so swept away by passion that she let the "hero" treat her this way. This is the person whose hands the fate of the world rest in. Boy are we in trouble. I got about halfway through the book and then ended up throwing it across the room. don't waste your time.

4.5 stars.......2007-07-17
I laughed, I cried, I cried some more. This was a very touching book detailing the lives of 2 courtesans, one old and one new. It was an excellent read because it portrayed the worlds oldest and most scorned profession in a humane light.
I try to think of the hero James as being true to what a Lord would have been like at the time. With the strictures of society and his views on marraige, I do believe he should have acted that way and took that length of time to realise he should defy everything and marry Maggie. (James' mother/son relationship reminds me of someone I know, so I do understand how controlling lonely people try to manipulate people around them).
However, when he does come to his senses, I think it should have been more dramatic, Maggie should have been more forceful and he should have felt like a bigger fool. Sorry I have a vindictive streak:)
The heroine Maggie was as sweet as they come. I totally applaud her decision to leave James both times (first to go to the brothel and then to marry Charles). Honestly it was either that or go drown herself in the Thames, the girl really didn't have any prospects.
Now to whether you the potential reader might like it- this is a love story with a hero that is a jerk for the most part of the book and who also tries to rationalize sending Maggie away. Maggie is longsuffering (but in a good way, so you feel sympathy towards her, not homicidal)
I must say though , he isn't THAT bad since he does not beat her (as in some Virginia Henly novels, which is a dose of realism I personally do not like) and he does always try to do right. His problem is that he doesnt SAY he is going to do right, leaving Maggie to think he doesn't care enough.
All in all, it's a likeable story and a great storyline. Do give it a try!
Like it.......2007-05-28
Her stories tend to run along the same story lines but I never get tired of reading them. I love this book and would suggest to anyone who loves this genre.
Excellent.
Adam want to do his 'duty' but Maggie just wants him to love her...........2007-03-30
My Only Love by Cheryl Holt was roller coaster of emotions but quite the ride. The story begins with Maggie and Annie being kicked out of their home by her deceased mothers ex-lover. Maggie and Annie decided to take one last holiday where they meet the St. Clair brothers. Adam is such a jerk and through out most of the novel he is stuck in 'doing the right thing.' Overall my favorite of her books.
HOT WITH A HEART.......2007-03-28
Maggie Brown is young with light brown hair and a gorgeous little figure when Adam St Clairs sees her by chance when she is frolicking on a beach. She cuts her foot and Adam comes to the rescue. Tbere is a strong sexual attaction between them but as they have both disguised aspects of their identity and Adam thinks her an innocent they don't consummate the relationship. When Maggie learns that she is to be put out of her dead mother's,(a courtesan) house, Maggie has no option but to put herself on the same career path. Her mother's protector meets Adam by chance and auctions off both house and Maggie to him. Adam is incensed at having been deceived by Maggie as to her identity, her protector having informed him falsely that he had already bedded Maggie and can vouch for her charms. There follows a very hot scene where Adam forcibly removes Maggie to her house and has sex with her for the first time. The rest of the book twists and turns around their developing relationship where Adam's rigid ideas about the correct way to lead his life (being a marquis and having the marry the right woman etc)are put to the test. He finally realises that he cannot live without her but in getting to that stage he hurts her so badly that he very nearly loses her in the process. This is a thorougly engrossing read which pulls on the heart strings and other areas of the anatomy having all tbe explicit qualities Cheryl Holt is known for. Highly recommended.
Brisk breeze of historical accuracy in this excellent reissue .......2007-01-14
Although this book was written almost a decade ago, it's realistic viewpoint of how difficult it was for the majority of women in Regency times, is rare to find in current historical/romantic fiction. Do we, as readers, insist on fairy tale views of women's roles because so many of us are working so hard today? How the choice of starvation or becoming a courtesan for a (sometimes) thoughtless noble were THE choices
if parents did not leave resources behind after their death. That said, there is still a lot of good stuff in this novel. The lead relationship is just as tricky as it would be in reality. But the secondary love affair between the older-but-wiser widow and the lead male character's best friend is priceless. Well written and meaningful sensuality, a small "frisson" of tension between all characters as they exist in a rigid society in England makes it all too easy to understand the mass migration to America. To be free to love who you choose, earn a decent and diginified living--we have been so lucky to be born American! Enjoy this well done book and relish the independance that keeps us always able to say "no, thank you."

Not As Good As Expected.......2007-09-03
As I read throught the story I kept expecting something to happen. Well it didn't. It wasn't all that I expected it to be. Don't get me wrong, the story was very well written and the characters well liked but there wasn't that spark that draws you in. At least there wasn't for me. Others might find it more enjoyable.
revisit well-loved characters from previous Welfonder books.......2007-07-21
Robbie MacKenzie is the only son and heir of Duncan MacKenzie, the Black Stag of Kintail. After a ten-year absence, he's on his way home to Eilean Crag Castle where he's expected to marry his betrothed, Euphemia MacLeod. His betrothal is not a love match. She's the daughter of the Laird of a neighboring clan. His marriage is meant to form an alliance so that the two clans can live in peace.
Juliana MacKay has made a deathbed promise to her mother. She is supposed to repay Duncan MacKenzie for all the support he's given her mother. While Juliana is not happy with this edict, she obeys her mother and leaves her side to deliver the funds and a missive to Duncan.
Robbie MacKenzie finds Juliana MacKay standing waist deep in a black-watered lochan from where she'd rescued a sheep. In the rescue, she received a blow to the head by the ewe's flailing hooves and was now in need of help herself. Robbie rescued her unconscious body from the water and in the process loses his heart to the flame-haired lass. He vows that he will have her for his very own. But there is still the matter of his betrothed. Will he be able to extricate himself from his father's promises? Juliana's suffering a memory loss due to the blow to her head, but she knows she's no light-skirt, that she was on a mission to repay somebody for her mother, and a name, Kenneth. She has no idea who she is, but she's not about to trust this knight with lust in his eyes. She's definitely not thrilled with him forcing her to accompany him on his journey to his home. She doesn't remember why she doesn't wish to visit Eilean Creag Castle or even why the MacKenzie name disturbs her, but Robbie isn't giving her much of a choice.
ONLY FOR A KNIGHT gives Sue-Ellen Welfonder's readers an opportunity to revisit well-loved characters from earlier books. Robbie is the hero's little boy from DEVIL IN A KILT. The various conflicts kept me glued to the pages through the entire book and then none of them turned out the way I would have expected. All of the characters are larger than life and just as wonderful to read about this time around, as they were in previous books. I was fascinated with Juliana's brother, Kenneth. He wasn't actually in the book until the end but he was talked about a lot. His story can be found in UNTIL THE KNIGHT COMES.

OK, but not great.......2007-01-25
Toward the end two major dilemmas were resolved too quickly and easily. I felt the author was in a hurry to finish the book and didn't want to take the time to show interactions with others, twists and turns, etc . In one case a 3rd party comes up and asks for something which solves a problem. In another case, someone touches a jar and has a vision which solves a problem. Other than that, it was an ok book, some interesting ideas, but not great.
Not Welfonder's Best.......2006-09-01
I have read all of her other books except Master of the Highlands and found this one to be my least favorite. There just wasn't ever a moment when the main characters weren't going to get together. Robbie's bride-to-be, the main problem just disappears! Her character did not seem like the type to just run off with her lover after ranting through out the rest of the book on how she is going to destroy Robbie. Love Welfonder's other books, this one just didn't live up to my expectations.
Now This Is Romance!!!.......2006-06-09
Juliana Mackay reluctantly makes a deathbed promise to her mother...she will travel to Eilean Creag Castle and repay the Black Stag laird, Duncan MacKenzie even though she doesn't think he deserves their hard earned siller and she doubts that anything she does will change her opinion of the man she loathes. This promise is going to change Juliana's life in ways she never imagined.
Robbie MacKenzie is returning home after an extended absence. It is time that he marry his betrothed who comes from a rival clan. When he comes upon a lass in danger of drowning...he jumps in and rescues her. He's not expecting to find her attractive or desire her as he has no other. Will he do the honorable thing and marry his betrothed or will he let passion sweep him away?
Now this is a romance! Robbie is without a doubt one of my all time favorite hero's and the attraction that burns between him and Juliana is scorching. As a result this is a very sensual read...not because of the sexual content...but because of the passion Ms. Welfonder has managed to pour into these two characters. Juliana is a perfect complement to her knight. Ms. Welfonder will draw you into her make believe word from page one...and entertain you for the balance of the read. If you are looking for a strong romance look no further!

Blade, Blade, Blade.......2007-10-03
If I could rate this 10 stars I would. I love the Taggart/Falcon/Grayson family series. For all you Daniel Falcon lovers out there (like me)....watch out because Blade Navarone is the MAN. Blade and Sierra's story is like none other and well worth the wait. There's humor, love, passion, secrets and pain. We find out the secret that turned Blade into the ruthless, determined businessman that he is today. We find out just how determined Sierra is to not fall for her mother's matchmaking schemes. Love was the furthest thing on their minds, but they were destined for one another.
"Only You" brought us up to date with our favorite family members as well as introduced us to new friends. We haven't seen the last of Ruth Grayson and Felicia Falcon. There's more matchmaking to be made.
I fell in love with this family all over again. Luke especially. Daniel will always have my heart! Read "Only You" and fall in love Blade Navarone and rediscover the love for your favorites.
Blade and Sierra FANTASTIC!!!!!.......2007-10-03
What a great book. Blade and Sierra had such a love connection. When a man hurt the way Blade did, it only takes a great woman to ease the pain. I enjoyed all the characters in the book and was glad to have the extended family come together agan. I have read the Taggarts, Falcons,Graysons and family and friends. I loved all the books in the series and all the books Ms. Ray have written. Sierra and Blade's story was sooo good, I couldnt put it down. Ms Ray, you owe me some sleep time(lol). I read this book all night long. If you are reading the reviews and have read any or some of Francis Ray's books, please go check them out.
WOW!.......2007-10-03
While the rest of the series is great, Sierra's story was well worth the wait. Mrs. Ray never disappoints. Well done.
Excellent Read!!!.......2007-10-02
Mrs. Ray has done it once again. If I could give this more than 5 stars I would. In Only You when met the youngest and only daughter of Mama Ruth Grayson. We also met the man that Mama Grayson has selected for her strong will child Blade Naverone. And what a match!! Sierra held her own and Blade is something else!!! They are both strong willed individuals who do not bend easily. Blade is a man with a painful past. Sierra's love for blade helps him heal. The is a wonderful story. There are also elements of suspense, action and humor. You also get to check in with the rest of the Grayson clan along with the Falcons and Taggarts. You get to meet Blade's 2 right hand men and best friends who also share a painful past and are wary of love. Perhaps Mama Ruth has something up here sleeve for them. I can't wait to see was Mrs. Ray does next with "the friends of". A great story from a author who knows how to create a story and develop characters. Job well done!
Man of Mystery Revealed.......2007-10-02
Although, Sierra Grayson thinks she has escaped the matchmaking hand of her mother, Ruth, who has found mates for each of her four sons. Instead Sierra finds herself caught by the mysterious, no-nonsense-taking, but handsome Cherokee businessman, Blade Navarone.
Readers were introduced to the mystery man (Blade) in Dreaming of You and Ms Ray teased a bit more in Irrestiable You. Blade Navarone has now made his appearance and left his mark.
Blade "wins" ($30,000) Sierra in an auction and while having dinner, Sierra finds a way to interview as a broker for one of Blade's real estate properties, Navarone Resorts and Spas. While their attraction for one another develops, Sierra proves to be as stubborn and headstrong as Blade. But what's holding Blade back?
Appearances by the Grayson brothers, their wives as well as Taggerts and Falcons gives us an update of what's going on in their lives.
Ms Ray left us with the idea that Ruth Grayson may not be finished with her matchmaking yet, she may have set her sights on Blade's bodyguard/friends, Shane and Rio. I am hoping so.
So did Ruth have a hand in Sierra and Blade's match up? Read this wonderful story and find out.

A book I have a weakness for.......2007-04-22
This is one of my favourite books. I've read it a long time ago and I have reread several times since. Let me just say that aside of the interaction between the two main characters which I found riveting it gives me very vivid images of scenery and I enjoyed the way she has of redeeming her hero's original dark intent.
A MASTERPIECE.......2006-05-31
Elizabeth Lowell has such talent, I would highly recommend all of her historical novels.
ONLY HIS is an exceptional novel. The emotions are deep and compelling,it is sexy and wonderfully romantic.
Caleb is deeply attracted to Willow's beauty and unconventional
behavior.
I adore ONLY HIS, Caleb is honorable and hard, tough, tormented.
The settings are beautifully written.
A MASTERPIECE, an excellent tale, full of emotion and feeling. The setting in the lake is wonderful.
The secondary characters are rich.
I highly recommend ONLY HIS, as one of the more entertaining reads I've encountered.
It has revenge, romance, and both a fascinating hero and heroine.
ONLY HIS is a charming story, one that you will be so glad you read.
You'll love Caleb and Willow so much that you'll keep re-reading it.......2005-11-23
This was one of the first romance novels that I ever read. I loved it. Willow is a sweet southern girl on a mission to find her brother and while Caleb has been hired to help her, he is secretly on a mission to kill said brother. However, Caleb can't help but desire Willow. In order to keep his feelings at bay, he tries to make the trip hard for her and he gets angry whenever he lets his guard down and gets close to her. Then, he decides he wants to seduce her in order to punish Matt, Willow's brother, for a crime Caleb believes that he is guilty of.
Throw in some danger, mistaken information, the sexiest shaving scene ever, and you have the makings of a fabulous romance. This romance is so vivid to me that I still remember the taste of Willow's pepermint. There is a scene where Caleb shares a cup with Willow and after she sips it, Caleb tastes peppermint. For some reason, the memory of it feels real to me--as if I can taste drinking from a tin cup and sensing a hint of mint. While I don't recall having this kind of reaction from any other romance I've read, it shows how dynamic this story is.
Sensual.......2004-12-30
I loved the story line and the characters. I thought it had just the right amount of action, character build up, suspense and loved the part where Willow "gives in". I saved the book and read it a second time and sometime in the future might even read it a third!!
My favorite "Only".......2004-08-15
I adore this book. I have one clean copy and one I have re-read until it is barely holding together. Caleb and Willow are two of the best characters I have come across in historical romance, and Lowell makes magic with them in this book. If you have ever read a book where the author doesn't focus enough on the main couple, then this is the book for you. They are alone together for most of the story, so you really get to know them. The trip they take to look for Willow's brother is harrowing, and keeps me on the edge of my seat even now that I know how it all works out. I find myself rooting for them through all their hardships, and even cheering for the horses who become almost like characters in their own right. Lowell's writing is in fine form, with vivid descriptions of the majestic scenery that make you feel like you are there, along with well-rounded dialogue and steamy love scenes that keep the reader glued to the pages. This is truly one of Lowell's best works.

Lori Wilde's best.......2007-09-27
This is my favorite of Lori Wilde's books. It demonstrates that each of us has greater depths than we realize. And it's funny, sexy, and clever. I loved the entire book.
A little unrealistic.......2006-12-03
I picked this up on a whim, mostly because of the cute front cover. However, I ended up disappointed because the character's behavior is so completely unbeleivable. I'm all for fun and whimsy, but there has to be a backbone of reality. None of these characters acted like people do in real life. After a couple of chapters, their antics became annoying to read. Also, I found the dialogue rather cheesy.
A fun read.......2006-11-04
The characters are engaging and the plot rarely slows. Wilde weaves comic book heroines and government agents and secrets together and makes it work. Of course her heroine and hero are the best part of the book. For Texans, the locale is as much a part of the story as the characters.
My first Lori Wilde, but not my last!.......2006-08-06
Picked this up on a whim at the library and wow, I loved it! From the first page, one action-packed sequence after another -- I could hardly catch my breath. Well written, exciting and great banter between characters make this a thrill of a ride.
More of an adventure than a romance novel, Wilde nonetheless draws us into the emotions of all the characters and makes us care. Knowing what we know about the government these days, the underlying mystery and its resolution was totally believable. No loose ends, no frustration at unanswered questions.
Wilde writes with strengh and skill. A unique and thoroughly enjoyable read -- if you're in the mood for some fun, try this one. I could not put it down!
Funny and sensual conspiracy theory.......2006-06-20
Marlie Montague is a comic book writer and conspiracy theory enthusiast with a distrust of the government and the military. When she was a child, her navy hero father was accused of being a traitor, but was killed and tossed overboard.
Joel Hunter is a former SEAL now working for the NCIS. His latest assignment is to watch over Marlie, as she is suspected of subversive activities. But as far as Joel can tell, she is a friendless shut in who's only excitement is a weekly bowling game. When she shows up on his doorstep proclaiming that the UPS man tried to kill her, he helps investigate (knowing he has her under video surveillance). When no sign of an intruder is present, and the cops assume she is a fruitcake, Joel checks the video footage, only to discover that it's been erased.
When her mother disappears, Joel offers to help her look. And soon he discovers that at times of stress, she adopts the aggressive attitude of her kick-butt comic book heroine Angelina. They prove to be irresistible to each other, and engage in a rollicking affair while solving the big mystery. What will happen when Marlie discovers Joel's duplicity?
Chock full of action, plot twists, snappy dialogue, and double crosses, Joel and Marlie take plenty of time to explore their sensual sides. The most humorous and memorable of Wilde's stories to date.
